Thankful to have them about of our ceremony. The team was extremely easy to work with. I told them what songs I was looking for and gave them a spot to sit and from there they took care of the rest. Timing of the music was perfect. Professionals all around. -

We hired the string quartet and this was my final email to the team. —For context, I had hired them specifically to see if they could play “Danielle’s Wings”…a song from my favorite moment of my favorite movie, “Ever After.” They said they could arrange it, no problem. Very last minute I asked if they could arrange “Draw Me Close” which was again, no problem for them. I was married in a church with strict music guidelines and all of their music was approved and glorious!—

“Draw Me Close” was perfect for the bridal party and I cannot articulate how MAGNIFICENT it was walking down the aisle to “Danielle’s Wings.” My son embraced me at the perfect moment in the song and it was…everything! I received so many compliments on the quartet. I had my dream wedding and the music helped enhance every part of it.
I would also like to thank your team for being so professional and respectful during our ceremony. We had a live stream and at times the quartet are directly behind me in the shot. They were attentive while the priest spoke, bowed their heads during prayer, and never made themselves a distraction. Well done!

I got married in June and had a cellist from Oahu Strings play at the ceremony. She was brilliant.
I can't thank Rachel, the Oahu Strings booking manager, enough for her patience and flexibility. She was super helpful! I highly recommend Oahu Strings for your next event. -

Great Experience!!
We are so glad we booked Oahu Strings! They added a unique and beautiful touch to our wedding. There is nothing like live music! It was amazing to hear some of our favorite songs being played among the wedding's beautiful scenery. The booking process was simple. The musicians were kind and professional. Oahu Strings was great to work with from the very beginning. We had an outdoor ceremony at Halekulani Hotel in Honolulu. We hired a violin and cello duo from Oahu Strings to play at our wedding ceremony. They could not have done any better! It was exactly as I wanted and we received many compliments on their performance. We can't recommend them enough to anyone considering about having a live performer. We are 100% happy that we chose Oahu Strings. -

Wedding Ceremony
We hired Oahu Strings for our wedding ceremony. They responded very quickly to our questions and requests. Our guests loved the string quartet. They haven't seen anything like it. The quartet was a beautiful and unique touch to our ceremony. -

Heather Sent on 11/16/2017I hired the Oahu Strings quartet to perform during the ceremony and cocktail hour for my wedding on the North Shore. As a musician myself (having studied music in college in Boston), live music was one of my top wedding priorities. I love music from various genres and Oahu Strings can play it all from classical, opera, top 40, jazz, Disney, movie themes, and even video games! My guests raved about how great they were and at different times even begun to sing along to the themes from Jurassic Park and Star Wars, which the string quartet played! During the cocktail hour, even my friend's 3-year old daughter started to sing along to the song from the Minions movie, "So Happy Together". When the quartet played jazz standards from Cole Porter, my husband's 90-year old grandmother couldn't help but dance!
Surprisingly, the price for 2 hours of music by the string quartet was a lot less expensive than hiring a DJ, acoustic guitar/vocals, jazz group, or live Hawaiian music. Hire Oahu Strings for your wedding! Support live music and classically-trained musicians, especially when they can play music from all genres! -

Meagan Sent on 11/23/2014Oahu Strings was just what we hoped for! We wanted a classic sound for our wedding, but with modern music, and they were able to perfectly mix the two. They helped us put together amazing songs for our ceremony, were very responsive and on time, nice and helpful, and played great music to set the mood for our ceremony and our cocktail hour. I have been to so many other wedding where the DJ played the wrong song during the ceremony, and was so happy that Oahu Strings beautifully played the exact songs we had talked about, and never missed a beat! Our guests very much enjoyed the music and we were so happy we found Oahu Strings. They were exactly what we were looking for and I highly recommend them! -

Oahu strings was fantastic throughout the wedding process. In the lead-up to the wedding, they were very responsive, as well as accommodating. We booked them for our ceremony music, and were able to have them arrange a specific song to play during the recessional (a version of the theme song from "Up" for a cello and violin). We were also able to pick out every portion of the ceremony music from a big list that they had in as much detail as we wanted. Come the day of the ceremony, the two musicians we had booked were on time and ready to go in formal attire. They played beautifully for the entire time we had booked them for and made sure to complete all of the post ceremony songs even though nearly everyone had left the pavilion before the end of the final song. I really appreciated their professionalism and would recommend them for any future weddings.
