Beautiful flowers and friendly staff

We worked with NYC Flower Project for our wedding florals, and the results were breathtaking. The chuppah was especially stunning. Although I initially had some concerns about communication regarding specific flowers and overall style, I trusted the team’s expertise—and I’m so glad I did. They nailed the moody, rich color palette I wanted and created arrangements that were even more beautiful than I had envisioned. Jordan was fantastic and very responsive throughout the process. The only hiccup was a missed meeting to preview the flowers, but aside from that, the experience was wonderful. Overall, the team truly exceeded my expectations.

They will bring your dream vision to life!

Talk about bringing to life the wedding vision of our dreams!!! If you’re looking for stunning florals that are very reasonably priced but also a team that will invest a lot of time into putting the exact vision you’ve dreamed of to life while still fitting in your budget, then look no further because it’s a no brainer. Gus and his team are your people!

We got married in Jersey City this May but way before the wedding day itself, Gus and his squad spent hours of time communicating with us to ensure they got down exactly all our requests and I know the average florist would not have had that level of patience, care and dedication with their clients to make sure they could make dreams a reality. I really appreciated that they invited us to their studio to put together sample pieces before the wedding to make sure they make the perfect products for us on the day. Gus was always a phone call away if we had any concerns or questions. And as a very picky bride who couldn’t make up my mind and made changes on multiple occasions along the way and then developing a very specific vision for our wedding, I really am grateful that I found a team that cared enough to listen and spend all the time they did to make us happy on our day. And with such a great attitude and enthusiasm.

Many emails and phone calls later and come wedding day - just wow, I have few words. The bouquets were gorgeous, the church pieces were just divine and exactly what I was looking for. So elegant and modern. And then the venue just blew us away. The family table was a process to put together beforehand but they made it happen as if with ease! The sweetheart table decor was what dreams are made of (better than the Pinterest pics!) and the centerpieces were just incredible. What a vision the whole day. I could not have asked for more and I’m so grateful to have found such a wonderful team. You guys are the best at what you!!! Thank you for everything!

Spectacular

Gus and his team are outstanding. The created the most beautiful chuppah, mechitzah, centerpieces and bouquets. Most importantly, they listened to us every step along the way and did all they could to create our vision. They cared, and it showed. They have the talent, and it showed. What a team. Amazing experience

I worked with Gus and communicated a bit with Rose of NYC Flower Project. They were both great. Gus was incredibly thoughtful and honest throughout the entire process of planning a large wedding, having to cancel that wedding (due to COVID), and then rescheduling a smaller one on short notice. He was very accommodating and is an amazing artist. I described what I needed and wanted and he completely exceeded my expectations. I will most definitely return to NYC Flower Project for any floral needs and events in the future.

Gus and Nicole were a pleasure to work with, and they truly brought our vision to life. Honestly, our theme was a winter wedding, and instead of floral arches we were going for white winter trees... so we were nervous about how it would turn out! They did an amazing job on a non traditional set up and we highly recommend NYC Flower Project!

Amazing value for money

Amazing does not even begin to describe NYC flower project. The value for quality is unreal. I asked for a lot within my budget. There were some floral companies that quoted me upwards of 7-10k without giving me the time of day to negotiate types of flowers, size of centerpieces, substituting candles for flowers, etc.. Flowers were very important to me and they add a lot to a wedding and I was willing to spend $$$ but to be straight to the point: I was not willing to pay those "bespoke" prices for flowers that die at the end of the day with companies that are stuck up enough to try to rob me blind. Luckily I found NYC flower project. The location of their shop is a little bit out of the way and random but they are worth the trip. This company focuses solely on events and they do it to near perfection. They cater to a variety of styles and work closely with many different event planners so they know this business well. I had a few other good quotes from florist but what made me choose NYC Flower Project was how responsive they always were. From the beginning to end, the team was always there to answer my questions and modify my contract as I changed my mind a few times. They worked with my budget, gave me amazing value for my money, and they never tried to up-sell me but instead gave me practical, realistic options on how to keep the cost down. Gus was no nonsense and knows his flowers and has great taste. He did a mock up for me before we signed the contract to make sure they understood the style I wanted. Before my wedding, we walked through the flower district choosing flowers and colors I loved and I pointed out things I didn't like. They were again, honest about which flowers were out of my budget and which would give me bang for buck. They sent me final floral mockup photos and they tweaked as I asked. On my wedding day, they were right on time and completely flexible to our schedule and my venue's schedule. Our flowers were PERFECTION... NYC flower project blew my expectations out of the water and I almost cried seeing my beautiful bouquet, our jaw dropping wedding arch, our centerpieces. They captured my simple, elegant, garden style vision exactly to the tea. I am so thankful to have found them and would recommend them 10000%. If you are hesitating, don't!! NYC Flower Project was one of my best wedding decisions.

Best Florist in the tri-state area!

This was the best decision of our wedding. I am so grateful that my husband received this NYC Flower Project recommendation from one of Gus’ childhood friends. I originally wanted to limit the number of flowers and let the venue shine. Boy, I am so glad Gus helped me see the creative possibilities of enhancing the space and our theme “Moonlight and Roses” with flowers.

Working with Gus was a dream, he was so responsive and collaborative. We went to the Flower Market to pick out the exact roses we wanted to use for the event. He heard what I wanted to accomplish and he helped to elevate those ideas. Looking at amazing flowers he had done in the past we created the perfect arrangements of florals throughout the venue.

Hire Gus and NYC Flower Project!

Gus and his amazing team of assistants, Nicole and Rose, helped make our wedding truly divine. We got married at Houston Hall, and we got NYC Flower Project’s name from Houston Hall because they already loved their work and felt comfortable recommending them to us. NYCFP does both flowers as well as bistro lighting, and we knew we wanted lights strung up throughout the space. We had a meeting to share our mood board in their office in Brooklyn, then we met up with Gus a month out from the wedding in the flower market to select the actual flowers for the wedding. Gus also never tried to upsell us on anything, and in fact instead of an entryway flower arch, Gus recommended that we use that money towards floral chandeliers which were the HIT of our wedding! They also built us a *beautiful* marriage arch, as well as table arrangements, bar arrangements, and table arrangements for our rehearsal dinner! We honestly couldn’t imagine finding a better florist for our wedding than Gus and NYC Flower Project. We can’t recommend them highly enough for your wedding!

Wildflowers in Montauk

Gus and his team were unbelievably accommodating. We hired them later than was ideal after another vendor fell through. Gus wasted no time in learning all about our theme and my favorite flowers. He came up with dozens of incredible ideas to bring our book themed wedding to life as a magical, enchanted Secret Garden. There were wildflowers growing out of typewriters, a cascading waterfall of flowers over the dance floor, and two full trees inside our tent. Every table had a different arrangement and each was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Our chuppah looked amazing. I could not have dreamed of a more beautiful backdrop to my wedding day.

Gus and the NYC Flower Project were truly amazing!!! My now husband and I were so blown away by their work--as the florals and decor truly created an ambiance and mood at our wedding that was alluring, beautiful and MAGICAL. The scope and beauty of their work was truly fairytale--and everything from the baby's breath clouds to the hanging garden they created, from the high and low dinner arrangements to the bridesmaids bouquets--every piece of their work was beyond our wildest imagination of how gorgeous our wedding could be. Gus, Nicole, and the NYC flower Project team were amazing. They got the job done flawlessly. Based on the photos and samples they made for us throughout the process, I knew the flowers would be amazing, but they came out even better than expected on the day of the wedding! Gus and Nicole were an amazing team to work with from the beginning of planning to the wedding end! They were easy to get in touch with throughout the process and were always there when I needed them. They even did a complimentary sample of my initial idea for the table arrangements before we signed anything - something I greatly appreciated given other vendors we looked at weren't as accommodating. Speaking of other vendors, NYC Flower Project's price quote was comparatively very reasonable for NYC and a city wedding. They were very transparent about the breakdown of costs from the start, and it put me at ease that I was dealing with straight shooters that wouldn't nickel and dime me with various add-ons and supplements.

I felt I was able to be involved in the vision of the arrangements with expert guidance from Gus, who took me on a walkthrough of the flower district to hand pick the flowers I wanted in my arrangements. Gus and Nicole were very receptive to any changes in the weeks leading up to our big day. The end result was absolute perfection, and the industrial loft space was turned into a modern garden with plenty of candle light and votives complementing the florals. It was pure magic, and I couldn't have asked for more from this team. Highly recommend!!!

I had absolutely no vision of what I wanted as far as flowers and Gus sat with me and we put together a Pinterest board with ideas. I gave NYC Flower Project a bit of latitude to determine what would like nice as I figured they were the expert and I didn't have a set idea except I didn't want everything to look rounded off. We settled on a garden style with light and dark colors. When we saw, the sample, it was gorgeous (although the centerpieces looked big). Gus assured us it would work in our space. He couldn't have been more right. On the day of, everything looked beautiful-centerpieces and bouquets. I received so many compliments. I didn't even need other accents in the venue space. The flowers spoke for themselves and were a definite highlight.

Guss and Nicole are creative geniuses! We absolutely loved working with them because they have a chill yet professional vibe that truly kept us calm throughout this process. We spent months going over the design then a month or so before our wedding Guss created a sample/ mock table for us and I knew the wedding day flowers would be truly beautiful. They were flexible on the price and included candles and bud vases with the flowers. I didn't have to go out and buy those extra things. They included them with the total cost of flowers. That was so helpful! At one point Guss thought he didn't understand our vision and asked us to come in just to make sure he got it right. Then on the day of the wedding Nicole and Guss created the most beautiful flowers for the reception and the ceremony. I would totally recommend NYC Flower Project for a wedding or any event..OR personal floral design in your home! They were a joy to work with!

I can't say enough good things about Nicole and Gus ! I felt like I was working with friends . Their creative ideas and hard work blew our minds ! We could not have asked for better vendors . They did 3 of our events engagement party , bridal shower and wedding and all 3 were spectacular! Our wedding was beyond stunning and looked like something out of a magazine . After going to three different florists who either weren't in my price range or didn't capture my thought process, my wedding planner suggested NYC Flower Project. Upon arriving to NYC Flower Project they had this gorgeous mock up (for which I didn't have to pay an additional fee) that just nailed my vision. I was beyond excited for what they created and even more excited when I walked into the venue and saw the beauty they've created. I had a naked caked which they beautifully decorated with flowers, they made adorable flower crowns for my flower girls and provided the sign for my sign holder. I went over my original budget for flowers but it was worthwhile. Additionally, Nicole and Gus (whom are business partners) had such a chill personality which was a bonus.

We used NYC Flower Project for our August 2016 wedding, and were thrilled with their work! We met to discuss the look we were going for, and they executed perfectly, providing tall candelabras for centerpieces and beautiful flower arrangements for the reception and wedding party. They were very responsive and flexible when we had to make a few small changes to our order in the final week. It was amazing walking into the reception room and seeing exactly what we had envisioned (all for a very reasonable price) - highly recommend!

NYC Flower Project did all of the flowers and décor for our August 6, 2016 wedding. From the moment we first met with them we knew they would be the perfect vendor. Gus and Nicole are truly artists who love what they do. They are involved in every aspect of the planning and partnered with our venue to create a truly stunning look for our wedding. We had the chance to meet with them, share our ideas and photos and they really listened and understood the look we were going for. I even had a request for my bouquet to be a little unique as I didn’t like chunky stems and they more than accommodated me! We wanted an “English Garden” look and they more than delivered. They worked with us on selecting the appropriate vases that would work with the venue and our overall theme. The sample they did for us was stunning – and they were upfront about the timing of the sample and what may be available on our wedding day as you have to take seasonality into effect. The day of our wedding it was humid and on an off rain, so we ended up doing the ceremony indoors rather than outside. Gus and Nicole not only created the most gorgeous, breathtaking altar for us but stayed through the ceremony to help turn the room back over for the reception later. Gus even found us during cocktail hour and offered to decorate the wedding cake with flowers! They took the time to put the bouquets back in water after an early picture session and the care they showed throughout the evening was truly what set them apart as a vendor. I will certainly be using them for future events and cannot recommend them enough!

We ve heard about NYC Flower project through Dyker Beach were we had our wedding.
It was a pleasure to plan our flower decor with Gus and Nicole. They live what they do and deliver it the best. Our centerpieces came exactly how i pictured it and chuppa was absolutely beautiful! They used birch wood with Orchids and greenery to decorate it. Couldnt be done better.

I wanted philanopsis orchids and I would not settle or change my mind. I shopped around for a florist for 2 years! NYC Flower Project did everything I wanted and their price was reasonable considering the type of flower I wanted which was very rare and expensive. I am so glad I did not budge on my vision because the ballroom was breathtaking and just took my venue to another level! Nicole and Gus were a pleasure to work with and I will work with them again. They directed me and gave me advice and had innovative ideas on how to create these centerpieces that were just over the top. Thanks again for the memorable experience!

Really enjoyed working with Gus and Nicole at NYC Flower Project.

We had an unorthodox vision for our ceremony and reception decor, and Gus got it right away, from our first phone conversation. We later got to visit the flower market with him, and meet Nicole at their studio, and the concept was fleshed out to become more than I had imagined.

I gave Gus some budget flexibility, and he came back at the low end of it... a plus for any bride.

NYC Flower Project was recommended to us by the venue, and we found it really helpful that they were familiar with the space and its constraints, but also helped us get the most out of the venue by suggesting things they had seen them do for other couples in the past. This really worked to our advantage.

Working with Nicole and Gus at NewYorkCityFlower Project was an absolute pleasure! I was looking for a florist and had interviewed with a few before meeting up with them, The minute that I met with them I knew that they were the one. They were able to work with my vision and budget successfully. They executed my vision beyond my expectations... Some of the elements used to pull my theme together were birdcages and tree bark, the theme was garden whimsical.

Timing, execution, choice of flowers, ideas and most of all their work ethic was spot on. At the last minute 2-3 days before the wedding I decided to change my favors to succulents and they were even able to pull that together for me for a reasonable extra cost. I was able to enjoy my wedding and truly appreciate the flowers and centerpieces because I had full confidence in Nicole and Gus and their work. I would recommend them any day. Just let them know the specifics of what you'd like and let them do the rest!

For our LOVE SUMMIT we wanted someone who understood our vision of our matrimonial event. With the NYC Flower Project you don't just get florist you get VISIONARIES who are artist and passionate in their field. I didn't know what to expect when i was looking for a florist. But just by giving the theme of our wedding Gus and Nicole were able to turn that into more than we could have imagined. When you're planning a wedding every little detail counts and they took on their job with the same critical eye as we woould have. They single handedly created the atmosphere i was striving for. Im so thankful for all the effort and love they put into their work. The dedication and passion they have is priceless. They were not only professional but they were considerate and inspiring. Working with Gus and Nicole from NYC Flower Project was seamless. We found them through a referral from our wedding venue. We met them on numerous occasions and they were helpful every time. First was a general consultation-they met us on the spot at their workshop to brainstorm ideas, share pictures and discuss the themes/colors of our wedding and the look we wanted. The second time they took us to the flower district to see flowers available during our wedding season, and we decided what we liked/disliked to come up with a plan together. The third time we met at our venue, and they showed us some gorgeous samples of what our centerpieces and bouquets would look like-they let us keep them so I was able to show my bridesmaids. They were always careful to ask if we would approve of different colors if they had ideas, and everything they suggested was beautiful and better than we originally would have imagined. We also arranged to meet them again at a showcase at our venue for one final meeting where they showed us more samples of our centerpieces and even shared their box of pizza. Thanks, Nicole and Gus!

Gus & Nicole were super professional. They met with me before the event in the Flower District. We discussed colors, décor, the look of flowers, and very specifically what I wanted. I really didn't know what I wanted but they had great ideas. When the flower budget unexpectedly shrank they worked within the budget and never complained or made me feel bad about it. In all the wedding craziness I forgot to give in my deposit. They never freaked out about it or were nasty like other wedding vendors can be. The centerpieces and gazebo flowers were exquisite. Beautiful and colorful. Everyone commented on how beautiful they were. Some people are into DIY flowers. Could I have done it myself? Yes. Would it have been as nice? Not likely but I could've done a decent job. The benefit of having them do your flowers is not worrying about how it will look, not having to source the best, cheapest flowers, and not having the hassle of set up and clean up on your special day when you have a million other things to do. They are worth every penny!!!

Gus was our flower guy for our wedding. He was recommended by the venue as he is the house flower provider/arranger.

We did not know where to begin with flowers nor what was in season so Gus took us on trip to the flower district to show us and get an idea of what we, or really, what I liked.

He had great recommendations on how to maximize the usage of flowers from the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.

They have a great eye for flower arranging and we pretty much left it up to him and his wife to make it pretty! And on our big day, they did a great job. We and our guests were very impressed with the flowers. Beautiful work! Strongly and highly recommended!

Our wedding day, 5 July 2014 at Top of the Garden - The service, arrangements, decorations, and beyond that. Everything you can imagine, and more.

A great first meet up, our conversations, and services were amazing! We had a wedding planner, Raquel Peralta, who was able to work very close to Gus & Nicole. The creativity they all provided was an amazing one! It really made our day! We had a budget like every other couple when getting married, and they were able to accommodate us. An Alice in Wonderland vision in the summer time!

Gus and his team at NYC Flower Project were phenomenal on our wedding day. Gus took my wife and I through the flower district in manhattan and he instantly recognised what my wife and i were looking for. He helped us pick arrangements that he thought would look perfect with the style of wedding we were trying to achieve. Once the wedding day came Gus and his team outdid themselves. The arrangement at our rooftop wedding venue was incredible. We got so many compliments on the flowers and the style they were arranged in. Our church location was very close to the reception and NYC flower project removed the flowers from the church and had them in place ready for the reception to start. Our venue was beautiful and the with the flowers it was transformed into everything we'd hoped it would be. The next morning we went back to the rooftop and it immediately didn't feel right without the flowers there.
Overall my wife and I were elated with NYC Flower Project and would whole heartedly recommend them to anyone.

NYC Flower Project was such a great team to work with! They were very attentive and really tried to understand what we wanted. They will spend the extra time to create a sample and really work within your budget. They had geat suggestions and we trusted them completely. I just got married 3 weeks ago at Dyker Beach Golf Course and I can't stop raving about the awesome job that Gus and Nicole did with my wedding flowers! All of the floral arrangements blew my mind, from the bridal party bouquets to the reception centerpieces. I had a general idea of my floral needs when I met with Gus and Nicole but I was never able to find a picture that captured that idea. And so, over the course of the year, I kept searching for the perfect picture and I bombarded Gus and Nicole with e-photos, emails etc. But they were so patient and understanding throughout the entire process! They worked tirelessly to get a good sense of what I wanted, and on the wedding day the floral arrangements totally exceeded my expectations!! They were so lush and rich in color, and full of texture! I loved them!! Beyond being experts at what they do, Gus and Nicole are without a doubt the most amazing people that you could ever work with! My fiancé and I bonded with them instantly when we met. There are no words in the English dictionary to describe Nicole and Gus and how they helped turn our dream wedding into a reality. In the beginning, Nicole and Gus were my flower vendors, however, after all they've done for my fiance and I, they are now friends. Nicole and Gus are the two most professional, caring, kind, considerate, and helpful friends anyone can have. They answered all of my emails and insane amount of questions without fail. They answer promptly via phone/email/text. Most importantly, they will work with your budget. They make sure you are satisfied with your flowers and NEVER PUSH you to choose something you don't like. The flowers were a HUGE HIT in our wedding. Our guests took home every single petal. Our ceremony/venue/pictures would not have been as amazing as they were without Gus' and Nicole's creations. Their attention to detail is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! I've already recommended Nicole and Gus to our friends who are getting married in the near future. You would be crazy and regretful to choose any other vendor besides Gus and Nicole for your big day. I'm making sure I keep in contact with them for my future occasions.

It was January and I needed centerpieces for my daughters sweet 16 in February. Gus was hands on the whole time. He met me at the catering hall and showed me a sample. We loved it and loved it even more the day of the affair. Highly recommend him.

Gus & Nicole are total sweethearts! They are very professional and really took the time to help me with my flower choices, making suggestions along the way. I had my venue chosen already, and since Gus & Nicole are familiar with the space, they pretty much knew how to set up. I am really not into flowers, but I had a color scheme in mind. When we met in the flower district, I showed them all of my ideas and they knew exactly what to look for! I knew that choosing flowers would be my Achilles heel throughout my planning, and NYC Flower Project truly eased my mind and made me feel comfortable and extremely happy with the end result! I literally cannot speak highly enough about NYC Flower Project. Nicole and Gus are INCREDIBLE! From the moment I met them, I knew that I had to work with them as the florists for my wedding. First and foremost, Gus and Nicole are two of the nicest people I have ever met. They are extremely warm, and make you feel comfortable immediately-- I felt like they were old friends. Gus and Nicole were EXTREMELY patient with me during the months leading up to my wedding. Although they already went through a thorough run through of everything, I changed my mind about certain flowers several times. They met with me several times to ensure that I was happy-- really going out of their way to do so. They even put together a beautiful centerpiece sample and delivered it to me, just to make sure it was exactly what I wanted! The day of the wedding, Nicole and Gus did not disappoint. Their preparation was evident- they paid attention to every detail, and it showed. They did an INCREDIBLE job with the flowers. They really listened to my vision, and delivered not only what I wanted- but everything was even more beautiful than I even could have imagined. I had a small wedding in Brooklyn, and I was so happy I found Gus to make the bridal and bridesmaid bouquets as well as the boutonnière. I didn't really know what I wanted and Gus was very patient in describing to me the options over the phone and sending me some photos. I told him my small budget and he worked to it without any hesitation or trying to sell me a package or upsell etc. After receiving quotes from other wedding florists and talking to other recently married people, I knew that I was getting a very good deal!

The resulting bouquets were actually BETTER than I expected and I was more than happy with them. I know they were worth way more than I paid for them elsewhere!

While he was professional, all in all it was a very casual and stress-free experience, the easiest in all my wedding planning! You can tell he loves what he does and it shows.

I would without a doubt recommend NYC Flower Project!

Nicole and Gus did the flowers for our wedding at the Dyker Beach Golf Course on June 8, 2014. I really love this dynamic duo. They are very attentive and detail oriented. They were always willing to meet me whenever wherever to go over new ideas I had, concerns, or for me to make convenient payments. There was a slight mix up with the bridesmaid bouquets, but hey, weddings are crazy and ultimately they put together a spectacular event space. I especially loved my chuppah. They were also really flexible about my budget; pulling from here and there and allocating florals and small touches to really give me the most bang for my buck. I'm very happy with the overall outcome and the dedication they have to their service.

No words to explain how happy and in love I am with this duo. Gus has the mind of a genius! Nicole is sweet and organized. The two of them are the most sincere bunch of florists I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I used the NYC Flower Project for both my bridal shower and wedding and to say I was happy is an understatement. Gus walked me through the flower district together with Nicole and remained in touch with me all the time. They worked with my budget and had people in AWE at both the bridal shower and wedding. Gus also worked with me to make my dreams of a birch wood chuppah and succulent wedding favors come true. PLEASE WORK WITH THESE TWO! It doesn't get better !! Thank you Gus and his team for transforming our wedding beautifully! The flowers were so beautiful, the bouquets were exactly what I pictured and I couldnt stop looking at them. Gus worked hard to make a beautiful wedding well within our budget and then some. Gus walked thru the flower markets with me and let me choose which flowers and colors I liked, while letting me know what would be in or out of my budget which was extremely helpful.

Email communication can be a little inconsistent but Gus is very good at picking up the phone and always addressed any of our concerns.

Our advice is not to stress because Gus delivers in the end!

This vendor is truly amazing! Because of the size of our venue, I wanted to make sure I found a group that new how to execute my vision without going over the top. I felt comfortable with the Gus from the first interview, and new they were the right ones as soon as I saw the sample--the main feature of the reception were these beautiful elevated runners standing on birch branches. We also had candles sprinkled throughout the venue and tables, which gave space a softer and more romantic feeling. The day of was a true execution of my vision, which a testament to the fact that NYC Flower Project listens to you. In addition to the actual day of beauty, two points on customer service: (i) after I hired the vendor, Gus actually came to the Queens Museum and did a walk through to get a feel for the space since he hadn't worked their before, which helped with my confidence that he and his crew would get the job done effectively and (ii) the week of the wedding I did a walk through of the flower markets with Gus (I didn't even know that was a thing and I've since learned that many companies do not do this...), which really gave me an appreciation of the amount of work involved and Gus' understanding of his craft. It was also a fun way to get into the fun celebratory wedding mode, with the big day coming up so soon! I really can't recommend this vendor enough--creative genius!

Is it normal to have florist withdrawal? I'm beyond happy that my husband and I decided to work with NYC Flower Project (Gus and Nicole).

In comparison to our experiences with 2 other florists, we found that:

- Gus and Nicole really took the time to understand our likes and dislikes (joint Pinterest board)
- They kept asking questions to figure out our style
- Gus's aesthetic fit our style (CRUCIAL if you don't want to micromanage every design decision)
- Gus advised us to look for inspiration everywhere when we were stumped on what we wanted for our ceremony backdrop. Other florists will push their ideas on you - usually something they've already done for another wedding.
- They go the extra mile when they can. We saw succulents at their shop and casually mentioned that we gave up on the idea of a succulent wall for a backdrop. They let us know that they might have succulents from another project - not a whole wall but a few. On our wedding day (months after this discussion), we saw that they incorporated succulents into our backdrop. What a sweet surprise!
- Gus takes into consideration how well the flowers will photograph. We wanted the centerpieces to be primarily deep red. He pointed out that too dark of a centerpiece wouldn't photograph well so we adjusted the ratio of dark to light flowers.

We're sad we couldn't take all the centerpieces back to the hotel with us. There wasn't enough time to admire them in person either. Why'd you have to make them so pretty, NYC Flower Project?!

Gus and Nicole did a truly amazing job for our wedding this past Saturday. They were able to get us cherry blossoms for my centerpieces on the first day of summer. Everyone couldn't stop telling me how beautiful my centerpieces were. I love branches and didn't think it would be in season.

I wanted a specific look for my bridesmaids bouquets. However, the flower market didn't have what I wanted available for the price. Gus knew exactly what I wanted. He created what I wanted from what was available. It came out perfect. At that time, I had no choice but to trust him. It was a good choice. Gus worked really hard looking for what I wanted for the bridesmaids bouquet and my bouquet.

I would recommend NYC Flower Project. The pricing was very good and reasonable for all the work and effort they put into my wedding. I definitely did not want to DIY.

They did forget to put flowers on my cake though. They explained that the type of flowers that I wanted were not available or in season. However, no one informed me at all until I saw the cake when I sat down for the reception. I wish they had told me in advance because flowers make a huge difference on the cake. I had no idea that there were not going to be any flowers on the cake. and the wedding cake is kind of a big deal.

I still think they are GREAT though.

Gus and Nicole were terrific and made planning flowers for our wedding fun and easy. We received numerous compliments on our bouquets and center pieces. Plus they were willing to work within our budget which was refreshing and appreciated!

Amazing value and experience with NYC Flower Project

We really wanted to stick to our budget when it came to flowers. NYC Flower Project allowed us to do just that without compromising quality or the vision. Don't misinterpret Gus' unassuming demeanor or approach -- he is a TOTAL pro -- definitely recommend walking through Chelsea Flower Market with him in the weeks before the big day and leaning on his knowledge/expertise. NYC Flower Project totally nailed everything and exceeded our expectations!

My bridal bouquet was beautiful, but my bridal party was disappointed with their bouquets. Additionally, I wasn't quite happy with the outcome of the centerpieces for the reception tables. Overall, the services were good, the designer always made himself available for questions, offered recommendations and was professional.

I worked with Gus for my October wedding, he was amazing and had some great ideas for bouquets and centerpieces cause I wanted something different. I was very relaxed in planning my wedding and I think Gus and I spoke only a few times. The day of my wedding I was blown away, the centerpieces were beautiful. The vases were so unique, my guests were coming up to me at the wedding to say how much they loved the flowers, I highly recommend!

Gus and Nicole did a fantastic job of bring my vision for a library themed wedding to life tastefully. They managed to make the reception hall look elegant and sophisticated as well as ethereal. My bouquet and my maid of honors bouquet were amazing. The small touches they throughout the venue at the cocktail hour and reception were fantastic and detailed.

As a preferred vendor to my wedding venue, they were able to create samples for me at the venue which was extremely helpful and prior to signing the contract which was great. Not all vendors were willing to create samples for me prior to signing a contract which I found unhelpful as I wanted to make sure that my vision was getting across and our styles matched.

Another plus, they took my fiance and I to the flower market prior to our sample and a month before our wedding to take a look at the types of flowers we liked that were in season and were envisioning for the wedding.

As someone who creates and plans events for a living, I highly recommend NYC Flower Project and plan to use them for my own events and personal flower needs in the future.

I had a really hard time finding a florist for my wedding. We were having a small wedding and I was doing the centerpieces myself so not many florist wanted to work with us. We were looking to spend less than $1000 on flowers and we were having trouble finding a florist that would work within that budget. Thank God I found NYC Flower Project. They were the best. They treated me with such professionalism and care. I went out and met with them and they did a Pinterest board with me and let me pick out what I liked. They showed me pictures and gave me advice. They walked me through the whole process. They didn't try to upsell me or get me to spend more than I needed. Their prices were fair and reasonable. We had our flowers delivered and they delivery was scheduled for 2:30. The flowers came at 2:30 on the dot. They were absolutely beautiful too. Everything was perfect. I would highly recommend NYC Flower Project for the value and the professionalism.

Gus and Nicole were great. They created beautiful bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces. We met with them twice. Once for an initial consultation and a second time for a preview of the centerpieces. We had books that we wanted as a part of the centerpieces, and they set them up for us and created a centerpiece featuring them.

Nicole and Nick were very approachable and took time in understanding our look for the wedding. I shared with them a picture for my centerpieces and they basically replicated the look! My guests were blown away with their table arrangements and I could not agree more. They were beautiful.
Where I was disappointed, was in the bouquets and bouteniers. I was told not to stress and that Nicole and The would be there upon my arrival should I need something extra. They also told me they would be there to refresha arrangements...they were not. My bouquet as well as my girls bouquets, while pretty, were not what I asked for, especially mine and my maid of honor. The corsages for the aunts were a bright yellow and tea roses...they really did not look like much. I had to call the as I wanted to speak to him about it and he needed to come back to our venue only to make me a corsage usuing my mother's ribbon. He also defended his bouquets a bit however quite frankly, my bouqet was falling apart after the first hour.

Beautiful Design and Flowers but

I had ordered just a few bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages from NYC Flower Project. Gus was nice at our consultation and looked at wedding flowers. Nothing blew me away from our visit but I felt good about what flowers we picked out. Communication and customer service seem to be lacking. I was the one reaching out to confirm details and plans. The week of the wedding I updated Rose with the address to the delivery of the flowers and got the okay thanks for the update. I was waiting for Gus to call me to update me on the floral arrangements. I got caught up and it was Saturday, the day before my wedding. I called Gus and listened to his voicemail that he's out of the country. My brain automatically goes in panic mode. Had I actually secured the flowers? There was no way to contact the company through instagram or other phone number, not open on weekends, no alternative person to contact. So as I was thinking of how I was going to get replacement flowers. I did get a call back saying yes my delivery was still confirmed. But I think the weekend scare could have been avoided if there were some better communication. Didn't get an apology for it. I would go with another company purely based on customer service. Although, Flowers were beautiful.
