Great DJ, easy to work with!

We hired NW Mobile DJ for our wedding recently. Kevin was very easy to work with over the multiple emails back and forth and his partner who DJ’d was very good as well! Thank you again!

Experience and Expertise

We were so grateful to Kevin for handling every aspect of the audio for the day: from pre-ceremony through last dance. We had very specific tastes and requests, and Kevin was entirely flexible and made the day what we wanted it to be. He helped facilitate the day so we moved smoothly from toasts to first dances to a crowded dance floor. He was tuned into the vibe of the dance floor and adjusted accordingly. We were so grateful to not have to think about a thing! Kevin has decades of experience and it absolutely shows working with him. Thank you!

Fun and Reliable DJ/MC

we loved our experience working with this DJ service. they played all the songs we requested and we even had a few we really didn’t want to play and they made sure to keep them off their playlists. everything was perfectly timed. the DJ was fun and respectful and great to work with.

The best DJs in PDX!

Groom’s Review: I’ve been married twice now. Richard from NW Mobile DJs was the best DJ I have ever had PERIOD. Book him, you won’t regret it. Well you might regret it if you don’t like music and fun times ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but that’s more on you. Also, HIGHLY recommend you other grooms out there bring an extra shirt for dancing in. Lesson learned.

Bride’s Review: We cannot recommend NW Mobile DJs enough. In our initial call with Kevin, we told him that we wanted a “rager” and Richard delivered that and more. The dance floor wasn’t empty the whole night and it was the perfect mix of music that got everyone from our friends to my 85 year old grandparents dancing.

Our guests loved Kevin!

Kevin was amazing for our daughter's wedding! Our videographer recommended him and he did not disappoint. In fact, we received many compliments on our DJ because he made the reception so fun! He was very professional and experienced and really knew how to engage our guests. We'll use him for future family weddings for sure!

Amazing DJ Service!

We had Richard for our DJ since The Kevin was unavailable. But Richard exceeded our expectations! Our guests really enjoyed the variety of music and overall vibe he was able to maintain. My husband and I arrived unannounced to the reception since we didn't plan any grand entrance, but Richard gave us a really quick announcement for the guests. It was very nice! Highly recommend these guys!

Kept the dance floor going!!!

We loved loved loved working with NW Mobile DJ. They were responsive and friendly and very stress free to work with! She kept the dance floor going- we got so many compliments on our DJ and how many people were dancing! At one point we had almost every single guest all out on the dance floor- THANK YOU for creating an incredible energy for our reception :)

Great experience for our wedding

NW Mobile DJ Services often works events at Skamania Lodge and this was evident for our wedding. My experience consulting and planning with Kevin before the event was professional and he was very responsive. He is also funny, which I appreciate.
At the event, Richard continued to impress with his friendly, professional service. We provided a general idea of what type of music we wanted for dancing (and what music we did NOT want) ahead of time and he totally nailed it. It was very hot and humid that day but we and our guests were cutting a rug all night in spite of the heat. Richard was able to accommodate a few last minute timeline changes and rolled with it when we had a few extra people who wanted to give speeches. He also did a great job keeping things moving according to our timeline, so we didn't have to think about it and could just enjoy the day.
All in all we had a fabulous experience with Kevin and Richard and would absolutely recommend them for any important event. Thank you both!! - Amanda & Owen

Great job - Fun wedding - Music was a big part!

NW Mobile DJ Service was excellent! They worked remotely with me and worked beautifully on the day to pull off a lovely wedding. The music was so fun! Lots of dancing by all. The DJ was professional and worked well with the team.

Awesome Company

I loved working with NW Mobile DJ services. They were very responsive and answered all the questions I had. They played all the requested songs and got everyone on the dance floor with the songs they played. I highly recommend them for your event. We had Jenn DJ our wedding, and she was lovely and coordinated/transitioned the speeches, cake cutting, bouquet, and garter toss very smoothly.

This Bride gives two thumbs way up for NW Mobile DJ!

Thanks to Kevin & Eric at NW Mobile DJ Service, my wedding was absolutely perfect! I was relaxed and knew I didn't need to worry about anything because the DJ was on time, professional, had a fun and easy going presence, and most importantly was doing a superb job of following our event timeline and music playlist. All of our questions were answered in a timely manner and they always made us feel well taken care of. I had several guests personally tell me on the night of and even days after the wedding that we had the best DJ ever. And this bride agrees!

Dance Party at an Amazing Price!

Kevin at NW Mobile DJ Services is amazing. He came highly recommended from my seamstress ‎‎(Andrea Hoyt) and wedding coordinator who had worked with him several times in the past. We ‎purchased the Golden Wedding Package (package #4) as we had the ceremony in the Library room of the Sentinel Hotel ‎and the reception in the Billiards room down that hall. With little guidance, other than the planned ‎dances, Kevin kept the dance floor packed. His price are very reasonable and possibly a steal with how ‎easy it is to communicate with him and how smooth the whole night run.‎

We could not be happier with Eric from NW Mobile DJ Service! To be honest, I was talked into having a dj at our wedding and thought the idea seemed silly. I could not have been more wrong. Eric was so attentive, respectful and professional. He made the event personal and was able to be flexible and creative enough In the moment to make our wedding completely seamless. Even our guests were astounded by the ease in which everything moved! Our wedding was absolutely perfect, in large part, thanks to Eric!!♥️

Kept The Party Hoppin'

Kevin did a fantastic job as the MC and DJ at our wedding earlier this month. He was very responsive via email and his prices are very reasonable compared to other vendors we researched (we hired him from 5-10pm)! We gave him a genre of music to play during dinner and then a short list of "please play" and "do not play" during the reception. He kept the majority of our guests out on the dance floor the entire night - some of them are STILL talking about how much fun they had! He was familiar with the venue and had worked with our wedding coordinator so he was able to do everything for the day without needing to ask us a thing! I would highly recommend hiring Kevin!

DJ service for wedding

Daniel did such an amazing job at our wedding I am so glad he was part of our big day. He was very professional and very kind and a ton of fun. He nailed our song with our kiss and had creative fun dances to keep the party going. He was so positive and nice the entire night and was great communicating with me and the groom on how things were going and what was up next. I have only positive comments of this company from first e mail to last dance NW Mobile DJ Service was fantastic!

Kevin was amazing to work with. Very prompt at responding to any questions or concerns that we had. Made sure everything was ready and taken care of before the wedding date. Day of Jen was amazing. She did a fantastic job checking in with our venue and us to make sure everything kept on schedule and went smoothly. Kevin is great!

Kevin was a great DJ at my wedding. During the planning he helped me with details that I wouldn’t have thought of. I did not want to be super specific with music choice, and he was able to find a good balance for the older and younger crowd at my wedding. He kept things running on time during the ceremony and reception and made my day so easy!

Kevin was good about reaching out to us prior about our song preference for the wedding. At the day of the wedding the DJ, Jen, did a great job. Was great about checking in with us about the events of the night and helping everything go smoothly. The dance floor was lively and we were very happy with them.

10/10 would recommend this company to anyone. We had the pleasure of having Kevin as our Dj. Very professional but also very friendly. Made things run very smoothly and you don’t have to worry about anything on their end all night. Was a little sad that I didn’t get to hear any of my requested songs, as they were played when husband and I were taken away for photos but that is entirely my fault for not communicating with Kevin my wishes on that part. Absolutely loved everything else.

Kevin was the perfect DJ for our wedding!

I met Kevin at the Portland Bridal Show, and immediately knew that he would be the right fit for our wedding. I hired Kevin to do my reception, and he was great! Easy to work with prior to the wedding and amazing at the wedding. He was a great MC and took some non-verbal cues to stop some of the planned dances a little early. Our group wasn't a big "dancing/ party" crowd but he still managed to keep people on the dance floor. Toward the end of the wedding most of the guests were gone and he spent the last hour just playing whatever my groom or I asked for. It was perfect, thank you so much Kevin!

Kevin was wonderful to work with leading up to my wedding, very responsive and answered all of my questions. In fact, I submitted several requests for quotes to various DJ's in the Portland Metro area for my wedding and Kevin called me back within hours - so fast and faster than all the others!! I was so impressed with this, I thought it said a lot about his commitment to his business and customers. So, after the phone call, I didn't even hesitate to go with NW Mobile DJ Services for my wedding.

The assigned DJ for our wedding was Eric, he was fabulous and all of our guests were complimentary of his presence, helpfulness, friendliness, flexibility, and easy-going attitude. We couldn't have asked for a more positive experience with NW Mobile DJ Services!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would, their services were impeccable. Kevin was fantastic to work with. Everything was so smooth and easy. He kept the party alive throughout the night and skillfully tailored the playlist to the crowd. He really listened to our minimal guidance and, with the wide discretion we gave him, absolutely nailed everything. He even caught a single line in the Maid of Honor's speech that was pulled from a super obscure song and played that song soon afterward without being prompted. He adds extra value for being an excellent MC. Throughout the planning and execution he was friendly, professional, responsive, and courteous. We couldn't have been happier with his services!

Kevin knocked it out of the park at our wedding. Not only did he accommodate all of our requests, he added in some really amazing song choices of his own for our grand entrance and cake cutting. He really "got" us right away. We got the karaoke package as well which was an absolute blast. I actually had a hard time getting people to STOP requesting songs at the end of the night. He and his partner were super fun and got the whole room involved. Thank you, Kevin! You really made this an unforgettable event!!

No question, best DJ in Portland and beyond. Kevin was a joy to work with, and made one piece of what was a slightly-chaotic-to-plan wedding, completely stress free. He keeps it simple and straightforward for client, but has an incredibly keen eye for detail.

On site/day of, Richard was AMAZING. I could not have asked for a better DJ for my client. He went with the flow (which included a quick summer shower!), had a smile on his face the entire time, and knew how to read a crowd perfectly.

We gave Kevin our song requests later than he wanted and he still pulled off everything amazingly! Literally the best music we've ever heard at a wedding. He and his partner worked so well with everyone, I cannot recommend these guys enough!

I don't usually leave reviews unless I'm blown away... But as I keep looking back on my wedding (October 27, 2017 at Bella Via in Sherwood), the music was one of my favorite things about it. Kevin exceeded our expectations. We had a quick meeting a week or so before the wedding, and I'd submitted a long list of requests... During that meeting, it became apparent that he had already thought of everything, and any anxieties I had were instantly quashed. Music can make or break an event, and I had a variety of people I wanted to please. My grandma had asked me before the wedding whether the music would be too loud or obnoxious, and after the wedding she made it a point to let me know that the music was perfect. The right volume, the right songs at the right times, and songs/genres that everyone would love. As a DJ, he also managed to have that perfect balance between being there & interjecting at the right moments to get people to dance/announce what would be happening next, but also not being overbearing or annoying. He blended right in to the event, and I don't have a single complaint. His prices also seemed comparable to other DJs, if not slightly more affordable from what I saw during my research. Either way, he was well worth every penny, and I would recommend him highly to anyone - even people who are thinking of saving money by having an amateur do the music. Don't! Trust me, that is something you don't want to be worrying about the day of.

I've hired Kevin and NW Mobile DJ Service multiple times for work events, and when it came time for my own wedding, I knew there was no one else I would want as my DJ. Kevin (the owner) is a class act, and I had multiple compliments throughout the night by my wedding guests about how great the music was. He was professional and responsive leading up to the event, and the night of, was happy to take requests, tell us where we were supposed to be and when, and help in anyway he could. I would recommend Kevin and NW Mobile DJ Service all day long!

Kevin was one of the best decisions we made regarding our wedding day. He was so calm, approachable, and completely accommodating to us when we wanted to switch something, or when something didn't go just as planned. Kevin, the head honcho, was incredibly quick in responding to emails and phone calls. We had a destination wedding, so we kept our fingers crossed that everything would go smoothly and had to hope the great reviews of NW Mobile DJ Service would be true for our day. Mick DJ'ed our wedding ceremony and reception - he was fantastic - arrived early, kept the reception flowing seamlessly, and had EVERY SINGLE person on the dance floor at the end of the night. Our son and daughter got married 5 days apart, last month, and we used NW Mobile DJ for both weddings. They did an outstanding job! As a sleepless mother, each time, I was so thankful they kept both receptions moving along smoothly. We had great music, great atmosphere and a packed dance floor at both events. We could not be happier with the service these guys provided. Kevin and his team responded to all our questions and concerns quickly and professionally. Even when we needed to make significant last minute changes it was no problem! David kept our dance floor packed from 7pm until they kicked us out at midnight. Wow -- I'm super impressed with Kevin and his business. Our wedding was at an unestablished venue and though I am a wedding coordinator, I was a bit worried about the power and sound situation with the layout I had. Kevin came out in the POURING rain 48 hours prior to my wedding and did a walkthrough, that felt really silly and unneeded once it was done. BUT, that he was willing to do it was awesome! He responded well to my requests, and definitely felt the audience well for the wedding. He kept by the timeline and we were nearly on point throughout the night with his assistance. Since the wedding, I have referred him and can now look forward to coordinating events WITH him as a fellow vendor. Thank you Kevin for being so great! Kevin did an amazing job at our wedding!!! He was incredibly quick to respond to all emails/calls and flexible with all our needs and wants. We had our wedding at my parents farm in Salem and he did a walk through with me to make sure we had adequate sound for our large, outdoor ceremony which was extremely helpful! He was completely professional and engaged well with guests as our MC. He also helped my brother surprise me with a slideshow at the wedding which was awesome!

Kevin was amazing! My biggest concern was that no one was going to dance, we had been to a few weddings this summer where no one danced and it felt awkward. The dance floor was packed the entire night, we had to tell Kevin to start winding down the music because we had a curfew being an outdoor wedding on the Lake in Lake Oswego and we needed people to leave. He has a great ability to pick up the vibe of the guest and play what works to keep people dancing. The comments we have heard from guests about the music has been fabulous and we had guest ranging in age from 12-75. Highly recommend Kevin!!

Kevin was, without a doubt, the reason that we had SO MUCH FUN at our wedding. Kevin was so easy to get along with and an incredibly communicator. We asked for some adjustments to be made to our overall timeline and Kevin responded so quickly. He got the party going and kept it going until our rental was up at the venue. What we so appreciated about Kevin was that it wasn't about him or him on the mic - he played awesome music and made it about US! We didn't feel like it was "the dj" running the show.

We cannot sing Kevin's praises any louder. I promise you - Kevin is THE GUY to have at your wedding. It was the HAPPIEST day of our lives and Kevin made it all possible. Thank you - from the bottom of our hearts!

NW Mobile DJ Service did an amazing job at our wedding. I was nervous when our schedules didn't work out to meet, but everything I requested (or didn't request) was handled perfectly! I described the vibe I wanted for during dinner and dancing and it was spot on! The ceremony sound was also great, I've been to so many weddings where the sound cuts out or you still can't hear, and I was happy to say everyone heard our ceremony perfectly. We had such a good experience with Northwest Mobile DJ Service! Kevin, the owner, was so nice and very responsive to any questions we had. We had submitted a number of requests from our guests as well as our own personal preferences and our DJ, Eric, did such an amazing job of playing all of that, plus other songs that went with the mood at the time, plus new requests that came in spontaneously that night. Kevin was recommended to me from a friend who is a wedding planner in Portland. I told her I needed someone under $1000 to DJ my wedding and that I would need two separate DJ set-ups for my venue. Kevin was a great value for the service he provided. I hadn't met Kevin until the day of my wedding and he was punctual, professional, and flexible. Kevin had a wonderful, happy attitude the whole night. I wasn't very particular about what I wanted during my reception but Kevin took over and kept the party going without making it feel rushed. Every guest at our wedding said it was the most fun they had ever had at a wedding. We were worried that no one would dance at our wedding, but we ended up having a full dance floor the whole night. Kevin was a great DJ and MC for our wedding event. I would definitely recommend him to anyone having a wedding or event!

Kevin with NW Mobile DJ Service provide the music for our reception at J. Wrigley winery in Sheridan, OR. If you have any doubts that you should hire Kevin for your wedding or reception... don't! Kevin's DJ service is priced just right, he arrived to the reception site early to set up, dressed professionally, and played all of the music that we requested; plus he added some additional music that went great with the overall feel for what we wanted for our event. Kevin's commentary for the boquet toss and garter throw was perfect and hilarious. He is a pro at what he does and if you are having a difficult time choosing a DJ, then look no further, Kevin is YOUR man. (Well your fiance is your man, but Kevin is a quick second placer!) We hired Kevin Venables for our wedding at Skamania Lodge and everything went flawlessly. Kevin is the best DJ in Salem! It sounds weird, but the day-of you’re not as sure about what you’re supposed to do as you think. We had no idea what to do to cut the cake, do the guarder toss or bouquet toss, and he just talked us through everything. He does a great job at directing the night and playing the right genre of music for the crowd, but he never takes over. We were so happy with Kevin and he is so nice! I think he reads minds, because he played all the songs we loved, which we never wrote down for him. Would recommend NW Mobile DJ to anyone with 100% confidence!!

We were so happy with NW Mobile DJ Service!!! There isn't a thing I would change about the music that was played. Mark was our DJ and did such an amazing job. I had worked with Kevin as a Wedding Planner in Portland before I got married so I knew he was going to be great.

He made everything so easy and worry-free which is exactly what I was looking for! I would definitely recommend him, great DJ and MC!

we were beyond thrilled with this service. the DJ and equipment and music met and exceeded our expectations at every level and at every turn. we gave them an outline of what we wanted and trusted them to fill in the rest. fill in the rest they did! the DJ had our crowd dancing and jumping from exactly the point we needed him to right up to the very end. we wanted folks to have fun, to dance and have a night they would not forget. we lost track of how many people told us it was the funnest wedding they had ever been to. we fully credit that to NW Mobile DJ Service. the DJ's combination of professionalism and casualness was more than we could have hoped for. his ability to sense where the crowd was, when to push to the front and when to take a back seat and let the crowds energy do the work was perfect. Thrilled? we've been grinning ever since. we are having their service at our company party/picnic every year for as long as they will have us. if you are thinking of using this kind of service for your event you cannot go wrong! book em' quick is my best advice! My reception was amazing! My guests danced for 5 straight hours! My dj was Mick and he was as great as Kevin promised me he would be. He did exactly what I wanted. Didn't play anything on my no play list. Completely felt the mood of the group and went with it. Extremely personable. Let my guests request songs. Everyone was so into what he was playing that he tried to play a slow song off my must play list...and everyone left the floor! He immediately changed the song, and we all realized my guests didn't want anything but fast pace awesome music. Guests danced until we decided 5 hours of dancing was enough! I had such a great time that I looked at my check book the next day and didn't think I paid the dj enough! I actually emailed to make sure I didn't short them! Couldn't believe how amazing he was and how reasonable the cost!! My guests are still talking about how much fun they had!

We had such a pleasure working with Kevin and Mick for our special day. Kevin was incredibly responsive and professional in ensuring we had all the details in order to ensure flawless execution at our wedding. Mick was a real treat to work with; he had a wonderful feel for our guests and a really nice laid back vibe. He commanded the show without needing to be the show and was essential to our party going off without a hitch. These guys are great!

Kevin put me at ease from the first moment I met with him. He ensured the evening was exactally as we envisioned it. Kevin had a way of taking control of the crowd and keeping the evening on schedule as planned which allowed us to enjoy our special day. My guests loved the music and are still talking about the fun they had. I highly reccommend working with Kevin and his crew, they put on a party you certainly won't want to miss!

Having worked with Kevin many times over the years as a colleague, he was my first and only choice when it came time to plan my reception.

As always, he was extremely professional, helpful and flexible when it came to rocking my super non-traditional post-elopement house party. He took the quirky space and my husband's super particular song requests in stride and was a HUGE part in making the evening something our friends and family will always remember.

When you hire Kevin, not only do you get an amazing DJ, you get a really cool guy.

Kevin was wonderful to work with! He was quick to respond to questions and was very helpful as he guided my fiance and myself through the process. He was even flexible when I threw a couple last minute song changes in there - thanks Kevin!
I would highly recommend Kevin to anyone looking for a wedding DJ or anyone needing a DJ for any type of party.

Very reliable and will return calls/emails quickly. Kevin is friendly and has a great read on the guests. Will let you know what he thinks is a good time to move on to the different "activities" (first dance, cake cutting, etc) throughout the night, you don't have to worry about anything. Played all the songs we requested and didn't play the ones that we asked him not to. He was fine with staying longer since all the guests were having such a great time. Highly recommend him...he is worth it!

Kevin is so great! We met him at a wedding show on a recommendation. We had originally planned to use another DJ company and then we met Kevin and we changed our minds rather immediately. I had heard all these stories from friends about how their DJ didn’t play any of their ‘must play list’. My husband and I had taken dance lessons for a year but we really knew how to dance well to a certain list of songs so of course that was what we wanted to hear! Not only did Kevin play all of our must play songs but he also was able to get a feel for our guests and our taste in music and the dance floor was full until we left. He did a great job and is extremely professional!

I loved having Kevin as my DJ at my wedding. He was very professional and did an amazing job. I would recommend him to any of my friends. He even went out of his way to make my husband and I a special first dance mix, at our request, even though he was so very busy! Thank you Kevin!

Our DJ (Eric Roberts) did a wonderful job. It was an outdoor wedding, in rainy conditions, but Eric kept the music going and our guests dancing and singing. He was on time, professional and very accomodating...great service!

DJ was perfect, exactly what we were looking for. We were tough customers in we only wanted a very specific list of songs played and wanted the DJ to keep the wedding going but not overdo it. Service was exactly what we were looking for and we were both beyond happy with how the music turned out. Company was very responsive and would turn around questions within a day. We as a family were so happy that we chose Kevin Venables (NW Mobile DJ Service) for our children's wedding! Kevin did a fantastic, professional job in making the music absolutely beautiful and wonderful on the wedding day of our children. The Bride and Groom did a lot of listening to music to choose what they wanted played. Kevin Venables made that happen. Any question we had, Kevin was very responsive in getting back asap. His sound system w/microphones made the outside wedding very easy to hear everything that was being said during the wedding ceremony. We as a family would highly recommend NW Mobile DJ Service for your wedding plans!

Kevin was amazing. He was an awesome DJ!! So professional, followed our extensive music list :), and a great master of ceremonies. He offered us tips to help the night flow through nicely and had a great appearance. My husband is a public speaker and voice and poise is very important, and Kevin was top notch. I would definitely recommend him to friends and family!!
