Nunnlea was the perfect place for our wedding reception this fall. Kathleen, the manager of the home, was a pleasure to work with leading up to the event. We were even able to come in a day early to set up since no one had planned an event that day. This made everything run much more smoothly since we were planning everything ourselves with the help of family and friends. The house is so beautiful and elegant, and its historical details make it such a truly unique space. It was the perfect size for our smaller group of 65 but could easily accommodate larger groups. For the space and flexibility you get in set up and catering, this is the best deal that you're likely to find in Louisville. Highly recommended!

The Nunnlea House was such a beautiful setting for our wedding! They were very accommodating to us with every request we had and also with allowing us plenty of time for rehearsal and setting up! Could not have had a more perfect venue!!!

I was so thankful to find the Nunnlea House in Louisville, KY to have my wedding ceremony and reception. I wanted a place where I could have both the ceremony and reception at the same place for not a major expense. Chairs and Tables were all included, which helped a lot having that already there. It is a historic home so there is a lot of character, pretty hard wood floors, and beautiful places outside for photos. There weren't any major rules we had to follow, and we had flexibility with being there all day to set up beforehand. I had plenty of space for 100 guests as well, however it holds more than that too.

Talk about bang for your buck! We were planning our wedding on a very tight budget and Nunnlea gave us the best value for our money and then some. From the moment we walked in the door and saw the beautiful wooden floors we were sold. What was so amazing about choosing this historic home is all the warmth and character it held all on it's own. We had our entire wedding day there. Ceremony at the pergola in the back yard, reception in the house, and games on the front lawn. The fact that you can use any caterer and rental company really helps to tailor your event to reflect your personality and work within a budget. Kathleen was wonderful to work with and made it easy for you to make sure you get your deposit back. I encourage people to consider Nunnlea House for any event they are wanting to host.

Nunnlea House was the perfect setting for my October shabby chic wedding. We had the ceremony outside and the reception inside. The house was built in the 1850's and it is beautiful. The capacity is approximately 130 people inside, seated at tables. Tables and chairs are provided. Outside catering is allowed; all you need to do is purchase liability insurance. Kathleen, the site manager, is super helpful. She got back to me within a day on every question I had. I was also able to visit the house several times before my big day to take measurements, show my photographer the house, etc. Kathleen was always very accommodating. The price is very affordable too. I couldn't have asked for a more lovely location for my wedding. Two thumbs up for Nunnlea House!

The Nunnlea House is a home on the historic registery that is located in the Eastern side of Louisville. The park like setting of Nunnlea provides a perfect layout for the wedding ceremony and reception at the same location. Gracious and elegant gardens welcome your guests. The spacious gardens offer many possibilities for placement of tents among mature trees, boxwoods and flowering plants. They work in partnership with Materson's Catering so it's convenient, one stop shopping for a great wedding and/or recepion location. They met with us about two months prior to the wedding to discuss menu, seating, layout and preferences. It was great, everything was as requested and the location was just beautiful. The best was the price...the location and the catering added up to about $2500 for 100 people. FABULOUS!

We got married on a Sunday so we were able to go over to the venue the night before and decorate with no charge. Kathleen was very friendly and laid back and answered all of our questions as quick as possible. It was a very easy process to reserve the location. The interior decorations make the place so romantic and add so much sparkle to pictures.

The Nunnlea was a great venue. We did need to rent a tent in order to accomodate all of our guests and dance floor comfortably. My best advice: If another event is scheduled for the same weekend, be sure to work out your rehearsal, setup schedule in advance with the other event to avoid any conflict. The Nunnlea was great about intermediating between myself and another bride, but it would have been best to avoid the whole thing. I would definitely recommend the Nunnlea to future brides, it was a beautiful place for a wedding!
