I had a very unique request for the band which was to do a flash mob-style proposal for my girlfriend. While other bands didn't want to take on the idea, Farrel and Nothing But Velvet were eager to offer their services and helped craft a perfect proposal. They shared video practices leading up to the event and communicated well throughout the process. They were wonderful to work with and would highlight recommend! -

Fantastic experience!!!
I was looking for a band to perform at my 40th birthday celebration and interviewed several reputable bands recommended by wedding wire.
From the very first interaction with Farrel from NBV, I knew I would hire them for my event.
A part of the celebration, which was actually the most important for me, was a tribute to my mother which required the band to learn a new song in a different language and they nailed it!!!
My guests were delighted with all their performances.
It was such a great pleasure working with this band.
Communication and coordination during the planning was seamless.
I will highly recommend and engage them again and again!!!!Nothing But Velvet's reply:

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Farrell and his team! He couldn't have been more accommodating, supportive, and patient, leading up to our big day and he definitely made us feel like the entertainment choices were driven by us, the client, versus his vision. On our wedding day, we/the venue had a major equipment malfunction and Farrell and his team made it work and we were able to have our ceremony music! Even though we only booked them for the reception part of our party, they did so much to support us during the ceremony itself too! The music was top notch and our guests LOVED the band. I can't emphasize enough how much of a privilege it was to work with them. Wonderful human beings, thank you again Nothing But Velvet!! -

Exceptional Band!
We were in the market for a band as an addition to our wedding entertainment lineup (we had a DJ, drummer, and saxophonist booked at the time).
We came across NBV through our Saxophonist who often plays with NBV and let me tell you - they are a match made in heaven!!! Their day of matching outfits of black head to toe with red shoes I thought were a great touch, they're all so in sync! (they were very mindful to ask about dress code which was nice so if you are having a black tie event, they would accommodate as such!)
Before we booked NBV, we ran into them as they were performing at a local park in our state. Farrel, Betsy, and Elias all have such a warm and welcoming presence to them, their aura just radiates through both their music and their personalities, I felt like I knew them for years when chatting with them!
We mostly worked with Farrel in regards to the contract, the flow of the day, and there aren't enough words to describe how patient, professional, and detailed he was in ensuring our day went smoothly. I should mention that Farrel and his team had an out of state gig the morning of our wedding [ insert bride panic ].. but Farrel, Betsy and Elias arrived early and were ready to welcome us as we did our ballroom reveal, doing soundcheck with our DJ!!
It was so fun to have Farrel, Betsy and Elias interact with us and have fun with our guests all throughout the night. Farrel was often on the dance floor alongside our Saxophonist dancing while Betsy and Elias were killing it with the vocals and dancing along as well! They truly made my entertainment dreams come true having a band/DJ duo!
Our guests raved at how well executed all parts of our entertainment were and how NBV was an amazing band - Betsy and Elias vocals sing so beautifully together and they created such a wonderful night for us and our guests!
We undoubtedly recommend NBV for any occasion!!! -

Nothing But Velvet was nothing but amazing. We had a 2 hour delay in our wedding and I have to say that they really helped the crowd. They played so well that the people actually thought it was a concert we were given before the wedding.
Farrell and the band was amazing!! will definitely book them again -

They were excellent! Performed (vocals w/1-piece) for my ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception (vocals & 5-piece). They were prompt, classy, played all the songs we requested, and absolutely amazing! A total vibe!

Farrell is a Fantastic Musician
I highly recommend Farrell Hutchinson. He is a highly talented musician and a really great guy as well. Working with kids isn’t easy, but Farrell was patient, engaging, and highly professional. Prior to our session, he was very easy to communicate with and was responsive to all of our questions and helped guide us through an online rehearsal which wasn’t easy either. You can’t go wrong choosing Farrell for any event or session work. -

Virtual Valentine’s Day
From start to finish Ferrel was an absolute professional and a pleasure to collaborate with. Our request to Nothing But Velvet for a pre-recorded video was last minute, not planned, and full of changes. They rose to the challenge and helped us plan a wonderful Valentine’s event for the couples from our church. All of our requests were met beyond our expectations AND they delivered a finished product before our deadline. I look forward to having Nothing But Velvet for an in-person event in the future. -

This band helped me to celebrate my 30th birthday and it was amazing!!! They were 100% professional. The whole band engaged the audience. They sounded amazing. I couldn’t ask for more! The songs that they covered sounded great from some funk, jazzy tunes and top 40. I would recommend them for any event. The party would not have been the same without them! -

I hired Nothing But Velvet to play live during my proposal to my now fiance. Farrel & team were amazing. He made the process very smooth, communication was great, and most importantly the song for THE MOMENT was perfect.

Infinity Sounds provided music for our ceremony. Farrell Hutchinson was our Pianist and he moved all of us tears with his playing! He played our songs even better than the sound track. There's something about his playing that brought our song to life. Infinity Sounds attended rehearsal, they were prompt and very hands on with the singers the day of wedding. You can’t go wrong booking these amazing musicians. -
