The exact destination wedding we were hoping for.
We wanted a destination wedding in Costa Rica, but weren't sure where to start. We heard communication from the U.S. could be a struggle as hotels and coordinators tended to be unresponsive. We found Nosara Magica, just through google, randomly reached out not knowing what to expect. Andreina responded very quickly. I missed the first call, but when I got home, my then-fiance said "she was so friendly, oh my gosh.. I already love her".
From then on, Andre was there for it. The weekly calls, the hotel recommendation, the photographer/videographer, the flowers, DJ, and make-up artist. The guest count, seating arrangement, meals, signage, you name it. She was also readily available on WhatsApp (which I'd never used before the planning process; be sure and use it).
Part of the reason she was so helpful is yes, she was readily available. But this isn't always helpful if you don't have the knowledge and experience that she brings. And most importantly, the ability to wrangle the hotel staff, vendors, and even us, all the while switching between Spanish and English. And she maintained a lighthearted attitude with a sense of humor that made the planning process actually enjoyable.
We had about 30 people fly down from the states. And it all went smoothly. You'll have to do a bit of work still, in deciding what you want for the wedding and being able to articulate that, and regularly setting aside time in the months leading up to plan from your end.. but this is expected. You'll also want to decide how much you want to help your guests and how much you'll leave up to them as far as travel and assistance in navigating in another country. We did a lot for our guests and it made their experience so much easier (per feedback). And if you're going to use Nosara Magica, please do your part to be as responsive as you can, and patient, since Costa Ricans (and people from many other countries) do not appreciate any rudeness and impatience. If you are kind and understanding, and can politely articulate what you want while contributing from your end as well, it will take you a very, very long way.
We couldn't be happier with Nosara Magica. We're still clicking through all of our professional photos and video from our wedding. And every one of our guests has reached out saying they had the time of their lives.
If you're going to get married in CR, go with Nosara Magica. -

HIGHLY recommend Andre- she is amazing! She is organized, detail oriented, knows everyone in Nosara, super easy to get along with and work with. We can truly do it all, and her being a local that's loved by the community definitely makes a big difference. She was able to execute all of our creative ideas in a beautiful way. Don't plan a wedding in Nosara without her!-

Fantastic from start to finish!
Andreina was an absolute joy to work with from start to finish. She brought a calm, professional presence and a can-do attitude that made planning our wedding in Nosara not only seamless but genuinely enjoyable. From vendor recommendations to timeline management, her guidance was invaluable, especially planning from afar.
She struck the perfect balance between structure and ease, keeping us on track without ever making the process feel stressful. Even when juggling last-minute rain plans, Andreina kept everyone calm and everything running smoothly.
Our wedding weekend exceeded every expectation, and we truly could not have done it without her. We’re endlessly grateful and give her our highest recommendation. Thank you, Andreina, for helping create the wedding of our dreams! -

The wedding planner you want!
We could not have pulled off our wedding without Andre at Nosara Magica Weddings. We were having a hard time booking a venue but as soon as we hired her everything fell into place. Her and her partner are amazing, responsive, kind and organized. We highly recommend them, especially for a destination wedding. -

Perfect Experience
We hired Nosara Magica Weddings to plan our elopement in Nosara, and it could not have been a better experience! Andre was absolutely lovely and had the best suggestions as we'd never been to Costa Rica. She coordinated everything for us and walked us through everything. The day of, she took care of everything for us (even in a weather emergency!) and made our special day beyond perfect. Highly recommend their services! xoxo -

Best Planner I Could Ask For!
My husband and I wanted to elope in Nosara so we knew that a wedding planner would help make our day special. I have never been so right! Andreina was able to make the zoom planning and the day of so seamless and amazing. Overall, I highly recommend her to anyone looking to have a beautiful experience. -

Playa Negra Wedding
Maria and Andre were amazing and our wedding was executed beautifully! I had done a good portion of the planning before hiring a planner and was having a hard time finding one in the area that was okay picking up where I left off and at a price I thought was fair, but they did! They were exciting about all my ideas and were also very realistic logistically. The day of the wedding they were ON it and so warm and excited.
I will say that they do work almost exclusively with certain vendors so not many options in decor or equipment. Rentals were pricier that I'd hoped. That being said, there are veryyyy few vendors in the area and the ones in San Jose are significantly more expensive because of the travel. If you're particular on small details, I'd suggest traveling there with the things that are must haves. Bring anything in suitcases, DO NOT ship. Ideally, your location will have enough for you to use.

Nosara Elopement at Coyol
Andre was instrumental in making our wedding day so beautiful and fun. Her expertise, attention to detail and kindness meant the world to us and we could not have enjoyed the celebration more. Everything from the planning to the ceremony to the lovely dinner at Coyol was a joy. We could not have done it without her! -

La Luna Wedding
Andreina and Maruja were the dynamic duo we needed to keep everything on track. As someone who lived out of the country, they made it very easy to plan our wedding. They sourced our local vendors, assisted with payments and helped bring our vision to life.
It was by far the best day I could have imagined and I couldn't have done it without them! -

Costa Rica Wedding
Maruja is a wedding planning magician! She made our wedding feel like such magic! Not only did she make our day perfect, she was wonderful to work with throughout the months of wedding planning. She is extremely knowledgeable about the wedding planning process, a wonderful communicator, and made us feel so valued as clients. Her passion for what she does truly shows and we feel so lucky to have been a part of it! -

Super Responsive and Helpful
We actually ended up moving our wedding to San Jose so she wasn’t able to host our wedding but while helping in the initial planning, Andre was helpful, responsive and resourceful! She knew exactly what we were looking for and helped us try to navigate through venues and accommodations. I wish we could have used her to plan our wedding but my experience was so great in that little time that she helped us that I couldn’t help but write a review.
PS- she’s also very affordable and her book of business is impressive! -

STAY AWAY from maruja roldan
Do yourself a favor and stay away from Maruja Roldan. She stole our money, and set us up in contracts with the most expensive vendors in Guanacaste. When we asked for alternatives, she wouldn’t suggest any because she only works with expensive vendors that pay her commission, all on top of the expensive fee she charges. She is also extremely unresponsive and rude. She also broke her contract with us and proceeded to not give back the retainer we gave her. DO NOT USE HER. She will scam you out of your money. -
