Marie Sent on 09/16/2018We had the most wonderful and magical wedding reception experience at Norwood. Everything went impeccably smooth, from the planning to execution. Rachelle Koser was an absolute pleasure to work with and is super knowledgeable about how to run a reception. The staff was amazing; our guests kept commenting on how fun they were and how they really contributed to the joyful atmosphere of the evening. The food was outstanding, super tasty and unique dishes that accommodated all diets. Norwood Club is set in a beautiful, historic brownstone and is decorated with an eclectic and ever-changing mix of modern art. We loved the decor so much, we only needed to provide floral arrangements; this freed up a major portion of the wedding reception planning process on our end and made for some epic pictures. They have the kitchen in the building and handle all food and clean up/ tear down services which made the experience completely effortless on our part. The club has multiple floors, so we were able to divide the party up into pre-dinner cocktails, dinner, and then dance party. This allowed us to change up the vibe throughout the night and made for seamless transitions. Our friends are still telling us this was the best wedding venue to which they had ever been. We cannot recommend Rachelle Koser, the rest of the Norwood team, and the Norwood Club venue enough!! Best wedding reception experience!!!

Our family and friends are still raving about what they experienced during our wedding and reception. Everyone loved the vibe, art, food, staff, and overall charm of the Norwood.

Christine Sent on 08/10/2018From start to finish, our experience with Norwood was top-rate. As native New Yorkers, we never dreamed we would be able to afford a city wedding party with outdoor space!! Event planner Rachelle, who is so charming and professional, definitely worked on every detail to help us realize the wedding party we hoped for. She was prompt with email replies and available for any question, no matter how small. Our menu tasting was a delight, and the chef accommodated our input (which my chef husband especially appreciated) which really made us feel listened to and actively part of the party--we never once felt like a nuisance or like we were getting a cookie-cutter event. Even the fact that the Norwood Club has its own art on display (including lovely lanterns in the trees out back and elegant furniture in the front room where our older guests could relax) meant that we had a unique and effortless environment without the irritation of choosing napkin colors or worrying about whether the chairs would arrive. I can't express our thanks enough to the whole team. The club was even flexible when we wound up running a little late coming back from the venue. We really felt so grateful for all the little details--for example one of the servers saw my husband didn't get any of the circulated oysters and made sure she brought him a whole tray for himself. When the bartender refused to pour me a champagne when our open bar had literally just ended (in spite of the fact that I was the one in the lacy white dress!) Camille attentively and quietly went over and got me a new glass, apologizing on the bartender's behalf. At each step of the way, Rachelle and Camille really ensured that we were treated like royalty. I couldn't have been happier with the decor, environment, and care provided by the Norwood Club. We highly, highly recommend the Norwood Club!

Anthony Sent on 08/01/2018Everything about Norwood, from the venue to the staff, has always been excellent. I had been a member for a few years and they really make you feel at home. We had our wedding over Thanksgiving weekend and wanted to make that a theme, and they went above and beyond to make our rehearsal dinner a full blown family style Thanksgiving dinner! I could not recommend it more.

Down to every last detail; including making sure we left with all our mementos at 3am, Norwood Excels at creating a unique, intimate, elegant moment in time. The space photographs beautifully as well. -

Food was exceptional and a great value compared to other Manhattan venues. Wedding planning was made very easy as they take care of almost all of the details. I highly recommend Norwood (so much so that we joined the club after getting married there)!

Michelle Sent on 07/23/2018This exclusive membership-based club primarily for people in the art world is the hippest venue in NYC. They are open to host weddings for non-members though. Located in the prime location in Manhattan, the venue has high-end, interesting pieces of art work and furniture which makes wedding photos look very cool at every angle. No words can explain the atmosphere of this place, so please refer to my wedding photos. The space is both modern and classically romantic at the same time.
The service and communication was more than what I could expect for. The DJ and food was fantastic. They are very flexible with your vision of decoration and how you want your special night to plan out.
I have looked at most of the well-known, small and big wedding venues in Brooklyn, Long Island City and various hotels in Manhattan, and I can say with utmost confidence that Norwood is definitely the hippest choice. I am always looking for opportunities to host private parties here now. -

Only negative: the sound system on the 3rd floor was a little loud for the non dancers, but otherwise everything was perfect! -

Jill Sent on 07/03/2013Overall, a lovely event and we love the Norwood! A few notes:
-The fact that all of the lights need to be turned off individually, while it seems minor, really makes the beginning of the event a bit rocky and unprofessional.
-We wished that there had been a few more chairs available and that the event had been set-up a bit farther in advance.
