Michael is the BEST!

We couldn’t have been happier with Michael as our wedding DJ! He traveled all the way to Mackinac Island for our big day, and his presence made a huge difference. From the very beginning, he was super easy to communicate with, which took a lot of stress off our shoulders.

Michael is not just friendly; he genuinely brings a fantastic vibe to the event. His rates are completely fair, especially considering the incredible service he provides. The music he played was amazing, and it was clear he knows how to mix like a true professional. He kept the energy high and created an unforgettable atmosphere that had everyone dancing all night long.

If you're looking for a DJ who will bring great energy and ease to your wedding day, I highly recommend Michael! He truly made our celebration memorable.

Wonderful DJ!

Michael was recommended to us and he did not disappoint! He was very organized and kept people on the dance floor all night and multiple guests commented on how awesome the music was.

Very good, would hire him again.

Michael was really great at the wedding event and to work with. We let him know our age, gave him our favorite artists and songs and he performed very well. All our guests enjoyed his music played. He dressed accordingly, very professional. I would hire him again.

Amazing DJ

Mike goes above and beyond. We would’ve picked a new date had he not been available. We were married 7 years ago and people still talk about how fun our reception was. We owe a lot to him! He’s knowledgeable, friendly and knows how to have a good time!

Flawless Day

Michael was tremendous. Extremely experienced, cool, calm, and collected. We had many fears about things not going right on wedding day but DJ was not one of them - we had a good pre meeting with Michael, giving our input and he did the rest. Great coordination with the Grand Hotel on schedule of events and the live band. Flawlessly executed - couldn't recommend more highly.

Endless compliments from guests

I have known of (and been to events served by) Northern Entertainment Consultants for years now, so the choice to hire them was a no-brainer.

Michael is attentive, responsive, and willing to go the extra mile for everyone. Example: he stood in for my bride to help the officiant and me practice our handfasting ceremony, and then he shed a tear when my bride began her procession. One of the most helpful and genuine people I’ve met. He will treat you like family (not an exaggeration) and he will keep your guests dancing all night. (Grandma Angie was the first AND last person out on the floor!) I lost count of how many people came up to me to tell me how great the DJ is!

And don’t forget to ask about their other services, we would have asked them to do more had we realized how much they offer.

Tl;dr, Northern Entertainment Consultants is a hire you will not regret. They will take excellent care of you and go above and beyond to meet your needs.

DJ Michael is AMAZING! - The Best There Is!

So professional, yet so fun! You could never hire a better DJ/MC for your event; Michael is the BEST there is! He knows what people want to hear for the party, yet created the most perfect soundtrack to our wedding with the songs we selected. If you do one thing for your event or wedding, I would recommend hiring Michael. He’s beyond great to work with, knowledgeable about music, and definitely comes through with the tunes! Our family loved him, as did we for our wedding ceremony and reception. There’s really not enough good things to say. He answered our questions promptly, and was available whenever we needed. 1,000/10 recommend. Do yourself a favor and hire him.

Best Wedding DJ

I have been to and hosted many weddings, and Michael is one of the best wedding DJ's I have had the pleasure to work with. Michael was the DJ for out daughters wedding at the Headlands Dark Sky Park. He provided music both inside and outside the venue. The music he played was perfect for the reception and he guided all the events smoothly and professionally. I would recommend him for any type of wedding.

Excellent DJ that will keep you and your guests entertained all night!

We are so glad to have had Mike with Northern Entertainment Consultants as our DJ for our wedding reception. He was easy to work with before the event and very receptive to any changes or additions I made leading up to the event. During the reception he did a great job of keeping to our planned timeline and making sure that everything went smoothly! He really helped keep everything on track which let us just sit back and enjoy the evening with our guests. Last but not least, he did an excellent job selecting music and keeping our guests on the dance floor. Our party would have kept going all through the night thanks to him, but unfortunately we had to end at some point. I would definitely recommend Mike and Northern Entertainment for your wedding or any event, he will not disappoint!!

Wonderful DJ

We had a great time with our DJ from Northern Entertainment Consultants. Tim was excellent in getting all the guests to have a great time and was very accommodating.

Our initial calls with the company and also with Tim himself were great and easy to work with. Communication is key when booking something like this and they were definitely on top of it!

Amazing dj!

Michael is an absolute amazing DJ!! He was a must have for our wedding!! He made sure we were grooving all night long! I never once saw the dance floor empty!! He made sure our night went smoothly!! Danced All Night

Michael was an unbelievable DJ! He was so accommodating when we changed the order of a few events to try and keep the evening on schedule better. His music selections for dinner and dancing were perfect. He seemed to read the room so well and knew the best songs to play to keep the dancing going all night. My 10 year old stepdaughter partied the hardest she had in all her life. If you want a fun night, you have to hire Michael!

Amazing DJ

Hiring Michael as our DJ was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding. He is professional, timely, easy to work with, and communicative. I gave him very little direction as far as what music to play, and he knocked it out of the park. My guests were on the dance floor the entire night and even afterwards they couldn’t stop talking about what a great party it was. Absolute perfection

Michael was amazing the entire process!!! He was very professional and prompt with replying to emails and phone calls. The entire reception he knew exactly how to read the crowd and get the party going. He was on top of the time itinerary, let us know exactly when the next event was occurring, and was so flexible with the changes I made to it during the night! If you don’t hire him you are missing out!!! To top it off he is genuinely so kind and humble.

Amazing wedding!

Michael was terrific...very accommodating to our special requests to incorporate a video at our wedding and logistics can be a challenge on Mackinac Island! He was always responsive to our emails. Everyone had a blast dancing to his playlists. Highly recommend Northern Entertainment!

When searching for a DJ for our wedding on Mackinac Island, the number one requirement for me was that they knew the area. The Island can be hard to navigate and having a stressed out DJ was a no-go. When I came across Northern Entertainment Consultants, I knew I had found “the one.” Having Michael as our wedding DJ was the best decision I could have made! He was friendly, fun, and full of energy. He knew exactly how to keep my friends and family dancing and played a range of music throughout the night. We are so thankful for you, Michael! Michael is a consomate professional. I could not ask for a better expience from beginning to end.
He is responsive, detailed and truly cares about the customer and their guests. Made sure he knew the venue and had all we neeed for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner as well as a exceptional dancing celebration. I’d hire him again and again. Our Bride and Groom were thrilled! Mike was amazing! He has everything you need to make your wedding special, all you do is complete his form he provides you and you music selection. The best part was he was flexible. We didn't have an event planner, only a day of host (Merv) and those two together made it happen and everything laid out perfectly. He had a microphone for our ceremony and for the the reception, which is so nice so everyone can actually hear you. My family was having so much fun with his music selection we had to extend the music till midnight (we only booked him till 11pm) If you are having an UP north wedding I highly suggest this company! Thank you again for making our wedding day fun and full of music!

We hired Mike to be the DJ at our wedding, and we were not disappointed. He was very professional, prompt, and incredibly accommodating. We had to change a few things on the fly due to other issues at the wedding, and Mike was very flexible when we moved things around. Altogether a very friendly and helpful guy!

Michael was great!!!! He is incredibly professional & personable. He never made me feel like I was bothering him with my questions. He even found every obscure song I asked for! He made sure everyone at my sons wedding had a great time & they all of loved him! Several guests stopped me to comment on how great he was. I would recommend him a million times over.

Michael was amazing. He helped out with any questions we had leading up to our wedding day and was flexible with last minute changes. He even responded to an email I sent him 1 hour before the wedding and made the changes accordingly. His playlist was perfect and had everyone dancing all night. We requested he play for 2 more hours than what was originally in the contract as everyone was having a great time and he happily did so. Highly recommend his services.

Michael Williford provided the music for our garden wedding on August 20, 2017, at the GRAND HOTEL on Mackinac Island, MI. He was also the DJ for our reception at the Grand Pavilion following the wedding. Michael was easy to communicate with during the planning process and did a great job integrating our song selections into the playlist for the entire event. Our guest loved dancing to Michael's selections and he made everyone comfortable and a part of the celebration!

Michael DJ'd our wedding reception and also provided the music for our wedding ceremony. He did an awesome job and was a pleasure to work with. He's very good at what he does and provides a big plus to any event. He was also helpful in suggesting places to stay in the St Ignace area, since we were not local to the area. Mike was outstanding! Our daughters wedding was outdoors and because it was such a beautiful day we had the dance floor on a deck on the beach. He set up outside the tent to be near the dance floor. I wasn't sure if he would be ok with this arrangement or not. He was great! He kept the whole reception flowing! Took MANY REQUESTS and the dance floor was always full! Our guests had the best time! We were so happy we went with Mike. He helped make our daughters wedding the incredible experience that it was!! We recommend him to everyone who wants a professional, awesome DJ for any event!

Best DJ hands down. James was easy to contact and communicate with. He always responded to my emails immediately. He was also very flexible when there were last minute changes. We hired Michael from Northern Entertainment Consultants to DJ our wedding. Initially we were just going to ask a friend to do it but when we met Michael we knew he would be worth the cost! Northern Entertainment Consultants took care of our ceremony sound setup, music, and tear down. They made sure we stayed on time and our guests had a blast at the reception. He's GREAT at reading a crowd and knowing how to keep them engaged. Our dance floor was packed and we got a LOT of complements on the entertainment. To top it off, Micheal was quick to respond to emails and phone calls, was reassuring and flexible and an overall AWESOME addition to our special day. I hope we do an event in the future just so I could hire him again! Nothing but praises!

We gave Mike very little direction and he knocked it out of the park. Were mid 30's and our family is late 50's to early 60's and he got everyone moving. Truly a class act. Personal and easy going, he knows when to step in to get the party moving. Yet he won't overpower your wedding making himself the center of attention.

Do not look any further. Mike is a complete professional. We had a very unique situation. We had our wedding on Mackinac Island and only looked for vendors that were on the Island. We actually booked with a different DJ, who ended up having to cancel the day before the wedding! You can not imagine how stressful it was trying to get everything figured out. Luckily the DJ who had to cancel referred Mike. He came in and e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g ran absolutely perfectly. Mind you, he booked this wedding the DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING. He controlled the entire service, cocktail hour, speeches etc,. and the entire reception.

Was honestly the best experience we could have every imagined and Mike made it happen!

If you're debating about hiring Michael, don't even hesitate. He was amazing to work with, organized, timely and kept us in line. He ran out mackinac island even flawlessly. He was a ton of fun to boot. Music selections, demeanor and Attire were all on point. He worked very well with the other vendors, and made calls and arrangements to ensure that everything from our live music to his dj'ing flowed smoothly. Mike (DJ) and Aimee (wedding planner) are enthusiastic, professional and quickly put our minds at ease about all the key ingredients for the wedding day. He really "knows his stuff" and she immediately tuned in to our planning needs: both key factors in pulling off a wedding at a private back yard, far from our hometown.
Mike's music suggestions were spot on, and Aimee's calm attention to detail make for a perfect combination to ensure the day is perfect. Michael was a huge help in making our wedding day go smoothly! Not only did he play GREAT music that kept our guests on the dance floor, but he took all of our guest's song requests and helped my husband and I with a couple of special things we wanted to do during our reception. Michael not only played music during our reception, but he also got our guests pumped up during the reception and made a great ambiance during dinner. We asked Michael to make a few special announcements during our dinner and he was totally willing to help. He also helped our day stay on time by announcing all of the people making speeches and keeping our guests in the loop regarding dessert, drinks and when our photo booth would be open.
