I can't believe it has taken me this long to write a review for DJ Danny but time flew by with a long honeymoon, a big move and starting our new life after marriage. I knew when we got our wedding photos back that I had to leave a great review for DJ Danny. He was professional, had so much experience and made it so that we didn't have to worry about a thing on our wedding day. We did our research to make sure he had great reviews before having a phone call with Danny and he didn't disappoint. He made everything perfect from the cocktail music to the music walking down the aisle to the dance floor late night. We got so many compliments on Danny not just days after the wedding but weeks! He had so many great suggestions and knew what worked well within our style of wedding. He even gave us a thoughtful card for the special day! We could not recommend Danny more. DJ Greg will have you dancing the night away in style
One of the hardest choices we had to make was the DJ, not having seen anyone perform. Greg's easy, but professional manner set us right at ease. he really understands that music sets the tone of the whole event. If there is any part of our wedding that could have been on autopilot, it would have been Greg. He set the entire tone - had a surprise screen on his booth (which took up almost no space) with our names and the wedding date. later in the night, it played portions of old music videos for songs and all the pictures from the selfie booth. you absolutely have to do the selfie booth - was the biggest hit of the night. He did not miss one of our "must plays" (you do have to have reasonable list so he can manage the crowd energy without a 50 song playlist of your own - for that you don't need a DJ). He was also present when needed but faded into the proceedings in a way that let our friends and family shine. He walked us through all our preferences (we had a few quirks with no parents on one side etc). Hire him and just let him do his job and I guarantee you - you will be thrilled. wish i had another night to dance all night with him mixing it up!

We had a wonderful experience working with Greg for our wedding this summer. Greg is highly organized, communicative, knowledgeable and experienced. He was able to perfectly capture our vision and his transitions throughout the night were seamless. He exceeded all of our expectations. Could not Recommend More Highly
I legitimately could not recommend Danny DeBruin and Northeast Event Design more highly. Music and atmosphere was one of the parts of my wife and I's wedding that we most wanted to get right. Thank goodness we found Northeast Event Design who absolutely delivered as the DJ/MC for the evening.
Danny truly cares about his work and makes the effort to understand the couple he's working with to create the atmosphere they want through music. Danny worked with me in the months leading up to the wedding to create a thoughtful playlist for each stage of our day/evening. He was extremely considerate of all of our must-plays and also took a *perfect* degree of artistic license to fill out the rest of the evening with exactly the right vibe for the right times. Our ceremony music had exactly the right level of seriousness and upbeat gravitas, while the reception was a blast that got all of our guests - old and young - on their feet. He was extremely communicative throughout the planning cycle, he nailed the musical timing for everything during our ceremony, and he was a great MC who helped announce the different stages of the night and kept things on schedule.
We were blessed to have a special day across the board, but the universal piece of feedback we got from guests was how excellent the music and dance floor was. Danny was everything we could have hoped for in a DJ/MC and I could not recommend him more highly.

I cannot recommend Northeast Event Design and Danny Debruin enough. Danny went above and beyond in EVERY aspect. He was extremely responsive, helpful, and kind during the planning process, present and professional during the wedding day, and was truly one of the biggest reasons why the day of ran smoothly as it did and the main reason why our dance floor was such a blast. Exceptional wedding DJ
Danny absolutely rocked our wedding! He took the time to get to know us and really understand our vision for the day. Everything was well organized and his execution was perfect. Danny’s DJ skills are next level and he had the dance floor completely packed from the beginning of the night until the venue shut us down after midnight. DJ Greg is the BEST
When our wedding planner told us that Greg was the best DJ in Maine, we didn’t think twice before booking him, feeling grateful that he was still available for our date. I’m now convinced that Greg might be the best DJ…ever!? He threw an absolute RAGER for us - I’ve never had so much fun on a dance floor. He read the room beautifully, playing songs and genres that we had requested but also mixing in other jams that totally hit. I can’t tell you how many of our guests told us that DJ Greg was the MVP of the weekend.
In addition to an absolutely lit dance floor, Greg spent time getting to know us in the months leading up. He puts a great deal of care into his work and treats his clients incredibly well. When I switched up the parent dance song 5 mins before the dance was supposed to start, he didn’t blink an eye. He’s flexible, fun, and so so talented. Do yourself a favor and book Greg, like NOW!

Amazing! Went above & beyond for me
Dan was so so great to work with! I threw something very unique at him to accomplish and he delivered! As soon as I get my video from my videographer I will update my review with the YouTube link
I made a special performance for my husband and Dan was in charge of making a light show that went with our choreography, he did such a perfect job! My venue even told me the wrong dance floor size but he problem solved without involving me and still made my performance look amazing🙏 again, when I get more photos / videos back from my vendors I’ll update my reviews to show how great everything came out to be !

Hire greg!
Greg was a great DJ for our wedding! He worked with us over 2 years thought covid postponements, and worked with me to play a special recording I made for my father-daughter dance. He then kept the evening on fire by reading the crowd and playing what the people NEEDED, let alone wanted! Everyone raved about the music. Greg was professional and even helped make impromptu announcements when we were wrapping up. You won't be disappointed hiring him!

Stop researching and hire Greg and Northeast Event Design
There's a lot to reflect on after your wedding day, and because we hired Northeast Event Design/Greg, my wife and I get to reminisce about how smooth our day flowed and how much freaking fun our dance floor was.
From a logistics standpoint, Greg was a pure expert in keeping our event moving right to schedule from the prelude all the way through the last song. He guided guests confidently and easily, making sure everyone knew where to go or what to expect in that next 'phase' of our event, just as planned.
But you don't hire a DJ for the logistics craft (although it is important!). You hire them to make sure you have a party fit for you and your person. Getting married in our 30s meant we had been to our fair share of weddings with dull dance floors, so for us personally, it was incredibly important we hired someone who could throw a banger.
And damn, did we get our banger. When I say we could not be an ounce of bothered to leave our dance floor, I mean it. Greg took our "love playlist" and "do not playlist" to heart, using those songs we requested but also adding in other songs he knew we'd love based on the style we shared. We loved every second of it, and so did our guests!
Our planning with Greg was also seamless. He has an intuitive portal to work from -- to review your contract, pay installments and send information he needs to curate your event to your liking/schedule -- which makes it really easy.
Lastly, beyond his DJ skills, Greg is simply an A+ human being - the kind of person you want, not just need, to work with. He's responsive, professional, kind and fun and someone we would often find ourselves chatting with beyond our allotted time to talk about "work", just because we wanted to.
It should be obvious by now, but we could not recommend Greg more highly to any other couple.

Wow! Greg Young was amazing to work with! I experienced Greg at my friends wedding and was ecstatic that he was available for our New Years day wedding. Greg was very professional and personable. DJ Greg Young is the BEST DJ Ever!
DJ Greg Young is simply the BEST! Since day 1, he was always unbelievably responsive, organized and he is just so down to earth and so kind. Our wedding was postponed due to Covid and Greg ended up connecting with my family to put together a little video with photos and videos from friends to commemorate the little backyard ceremony that we had last year. And he did this amazing gesture simply because he wanted to see us smile!
Our wedding day was unreal - he had everyone on the dance floor the entire night, he knows how to read the vibe of the crowd and this combined with the awesome photo booth (his photo booth attendant was also amazing) and the up-lighting throughout our barn venue - it made our night that much more memorable.
12/10 stars for Greg - I can't say enough good things about him, so whatever event you are planning, please connect with him - it'll be one of the best decisions you'll ever make!

If it were possible to give 6 stars I would. My wife and I are very laid back people and not overly enthusiastic about planning anything so you can imagine a wedding was a daunting task. Greg was phenomenal throughout the entire process. He walked us through every one of his services, and helped us visualize how each would look and feel on the day. He never pushed us in any direction and maintained a level of excitement that was both professional and energizing for the two of us. As the event approached he worked with us to get every detail correct and to really get a feel for what we wanted musically. Again, my wife and I are not big on detailed planning so we gave him some general ideas, but for the most part trusted him to curate something amazing. To say he DELIVERED would be a gross understatement. The ceremony and dinner service was flawless, neither my wife nor I had to think about a thing and Greg’s MC-ing and song choices were amazing. When the dance floor opened up, the guests practically RAN to it and they remained on that dance floor until the final song of the evening. Our families were adamant that they had never seen anything like it. Not only did the two of us love every selection he made, but we heard endless stories of how great he was from practically all of our family and friends. The best dj on planet earth
The short answer: Having attended or worked over 75 weddings, Northeast Event/Danny is the best DJ I have ever seen and truly made our wedding perfect.
The long answer: My wife and I were two weeks out from our wedding and realized we needed to change our DJ. We attended a wedding they worked and it was filled with awkward gaps and technical issues. I called 5 DJs and the moment Danny picked up, I could already tell he was the guy. Danny, one of the owners, was thoughtful, walked through his system and process, and immediately put me at ease that there would be no issues the day of. Danny even provided his own generator to guarantee no technical difficulties. Danny was more than we had budgeted, but we had the feeling it would be worth it. We then had a final phone call with Danny, he wanted to make sure every minute of the wedding was understood so he could make sure from his end the day was perfect.
The wedding went perfectly. We got married in a field with no power and Danny made sure the ceremony was heard by everyone, the mics worked, and there was no interference even with multiple pastors up front and mics on. During the dinner portion of the reception, Danny kept the music at a SPEAKING LEVEL. Let's all be honest, this alone should make you hire him. Think back to every wedding you've had to literally yell to your neighbor to talk and vented under your breath at how bad the DJ was and how you hated you would wake up the next day horse.
NOT DANNY. All our guests were able to talk to each other and catch up. Every toast and reception moment was perfectly choreographed, without a single awkward pause or gap. He kept everyone smiling and happy to be there.
Then, the moment you've all been waiting for, the dancing. As said a lot earlier, I've worked or been to over 75 weddings. Most of the time the dance floor dies after 5-10 songs and never really comes back to full strength. Our dance floor was constantly full and people were having the time of their lives. I give Danny major credit here for his song choice and being able to effortlessly read the room to keep everyone happy. DJs have the tricky job of hosting an event and being a great host and also playing good music that people like. Most DJs are bad at both or bad at least one, but Danny was perfect at both. Heck, my wife and I even crowd surfed at our own wedding and he listened to our request to not do any line dancing.
All in all, Danny was our best vendor and the best addition to our wedding. He took our wedding from what would have been a 5/10 with the other DJ to a 20/10 (maybe bias but you know how it goes). I promise hiring Danny and Northeast Event is worth every penny. We had tried to save money on our DJ originally and so glad we pivoted to Danny. He was our event MC and hosted our wedding better than I've ever seen.
Hire Danny. You'll likely regret at least something about your wedding but Danny won't be it. So stop reading this review and pay the man!

Danny (the owner) kept the life of the party going! Truly an amazing DJ with a lot of talent. He is so easy to work with - very organized and responsive. Danny with Northeast Event Design was AMAZING! He was so organized and professional. He stayed in continuous contact with us from the moment we booked him up until the wedding day. Danny was very thorough with the planning process - making sure that all of my husband & I's wants/needs were met. He kept the whole wedding day going in a timely fashion. Danny killed it!
Danny was great to work with from our first phone call until he closed out our wedding! Throughout the planning process, Danny was very responsive, attentive and provided great insight on how we could give our guests the best experience. Danny’s set up at our venue was absolutely amazing. The uplighting and the mirror photo booth are absolutely musts as they set the mood and kept our guests out of their seats. Danny played our must haves but he read the room and kept selecting tracks that had all of our guests moving and dancing. All night long and days after the wedding, all of our guests could not stop talking about how he was the best DJ at any wedding they have attended! We truly can’t recommend him enough!

I honestly do not think that 5 stars is enough for rating Danny and his DJing. Danny DJ'ed our wedding in May 2021. Throughout the entire process, Danny was professional, timely with his communication, and patient with me with my last minute changes and decisions. During our final meeting, Danny was prepared, had clearly read through all of our paperwork and asked really insightful questions. Additional to that, Danny made many suggestions that I never would have thought about for different parts of the ceremony and reception.
Music is a HUGE part of my husband's life and has now become a huge part of mine. We had many meaningful and special songs we wanted played and Danny did them all--- including flawlessly throwing in a surprise song during my entrance to the ceremony!!
Our dance floor never stopped the whole night and a huge part of that was Danny's seamless transitions, order of songs, the props he provided, and his ability to pump everyone up. We could not be happier with how our wedding day went and a big part of that is props to Danny.
Not to mention--- the lighting, monogram, and tv on his stand added so much to the reception!

Exceeded Our High Expectations
I cannot express how highly I recommend the DJ services of Northeast Event Design. Having great music on our wedding day was a very high priority for my bride and I. After attending MANY weddings over the years we understand how important it is to have a skilled DJ. We had an initial meeting with Danny to discuss our vision and multiple check-ins over the months leading up to our wedding to make sure all the details were perfectly planned. He listened to everything we wanted he was extremely thorough and also treated us like we had been friends for years. Planning a wedding during a pandemic proved to be challenging in so many ways but fortunately for us, Greg was always confident that our wedding would be fun and memorable no matter the obstacles. What can I say? This is the guy who makes or breaks a wedding! And he didn’t disappoint. Throughout the craziness of this summer’s planning Greg was always in contact and always made us feel at ease about any worries we may have had. He was absolutely fantastic. Easy to talk to. Great voice! Awesome communication! And really cares...sincerely. Greg was like having another party planner on the day of and leading up to our wedding. He wanted to know all of the details and made us feel super relaxed about our scheduling and plans for the big day. We knew whatever might come up would be managed and we wouldn’t even notice. He was just the extra security we needed knowing he had all the bases covered. He was over prepared and brought tons of extra cables and patch cords for video or whatever was needed. He had plenty of backup setup just in case. We knew he could fill in if needed for the ceremony musicians and cocktail hour. We sent him a playlist of just our general interest of music we listened and songs we absolutely wanted to hear. He helped us out with last minute details; setting us up with some outdoor lighting and even surprised us with personalized graphic for the DJ booth! We had so much fun and regardless of being an intimate wedding we felt our small group was having the best time. I can honestly say my husband and I danced the WHOLE night!!! And we got so many compliments about our DJ! Thank you Greg!

Not your ordinary DJ
We got to experience Danny’s work at my sisters wedding, so hiring him wasn’t even a question for us. Danny’s energy is contagious, he is so much fun and had everyone dancing the entire night. Leading up to the wedding, Danny is very responsive, easy going, and accommodating. He helped us pick out the perfect songs for every part of the day, and his custom display and set up is beautiful, it adds so much to the overall look. Aside from being such talented DJ, Danny also plays a huge role in the sticking to the timeline. He worked very closely with our day of coordinator to make sure he knew every detail of the day. He was able to guide people to the next location/ event, while maintaining the perfect flow to the evening. Danny even pays attention to the finer details, he keeps an eye on the clock to make sure we have time for everything... ie reminding us when it was time for sunset photos. I can’t say enough great things about Danny, I would hands down recommend him to everyone I know. We are so grateful to have him be a part of the most amazing day!!

Danny was literally the best DJ ever!!! So many people came to me after the wedding telling me how “amazing the DJ was!!!” He knew all the right songs to play to keep the party going! If you are still in search of an entertainer/DJ for your wedding or special event stop everything you’re doing and send an email to Danny at North East Event Design and BOOK HIM! Danny exceeded all of our expectations from start to finish. We booked him based on his fabulous reviews and we are here to say that he truly set the tone for our wedding reception in such a natural, organized, collaborative, and FUN way! We had a few special requests and specific details and Danny shared in our excitement and helped us execute them all seamlessly. He was communicative from start to finish and always responded quickly to emails. He took the time to get to know us and understand our crowd to ensure that everyone had the best time possible. Danny ALWAYS made sure we knew what to anticipate at every point during the reception timeline which was extremely helpful for everyone. I can not say enough good things about Greg from Northeast Event Designs. He was so friendly and personable to deal with from the first communication I knew he was a good fit. Once we got into the weeds of things I was so excited to be working with him and his company as they do and provide so many added features to make a wedding or event so unique and special.
We opted to add the lighting and Social wall which was a HUGE hit and so perfect. We had photo slideshows for dances and dinner, and people could upload photos, and even had music videos it was the best vibe for our crowd. The dance floor was never empty except maybe the occasional mishaps with drinks.
I cannot say enough good things about our experience. He was professional but still just kind of the friendly neighbor who you could even joke with and laugh. He was so helpful through the process and made everything such a smooth process. He even dealt with the last minute changes that came up and it was like it was planned all along.

When planning our wedding, my husband and I were very particular about who our entertainment would be. We have been to so many weddings and bar/bat mitzvah parties where the entertainment was horrible, either playing music that was engaging or appealing only to a small number of people (by being too clubby, or by using such tired, predictable and cheesy music) or by having an emcee who was so obnoxious and made the whole night about themselves. We knew that our friends and family were coming to celebrate and dance, and so we interviewed a bunch of bands and a few DJs trying to find the right people to lead our party. We ultimately decided to book with Northeast Event Design. This was a fantastic decision!
Throughout the planning process Greg was a delight to work with! He was responsive, promptly answering all of our questions, and was really helpful in providing suggestions, while still making sure that our wedding reflected our vision for the day. He was so great at personalizing and organizing the day to make sure it was truly OUR wedding.
Our wedding was an absolute blast! Seriously, the dance floor was packed all night. If Greg can make a playlist that kept our 85-year-old grandparents, our teenaged cousins, our 20- and 30-something friends and our parents and their friends all dancing all night, then he can truly do anything!

Northeast Even Design, was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning. We both knew that the music makes or breaks a wedding, so we went with the recommendation of one of the groomsmen. The highest praise I can give Greg is the best kind of vendor, the one you don't have to worry about. He showed up well in advanced, double checked with us several times, and kept the dance floor hopping. Any issues or problems that he incurred during our event, he handled them himself or grabbed someone else, and left us to enjoy the night. He knew the secret to getting people on the floor was to get the kids out there dancing, and even got my side of the family that historically never danced. The reception went off with out a hitch, any time changes we need to make to accommodate running a few minutes late he rolled with really well. The reception could not have been better and that is in large part to Greg's great skill at MCing and keeping the floor packed

Phenomenal DJ!
We really could not have asked for a better DJ! From start to finish, Danny was extremely nice and professional and just plain easy to work with. He definitely took a lot of stress away from the wedding planning process with his responsiveness and detailed questions. He made an effort to get to know us which was really nice. He also provided us with a detailed questionnaire to guide us through the process of the timing for the night and music we wanted for each part of the reception. He thought of ideas that hadn’t crossed our minds, but added a lot to the night. We loved that he wanted to meet in person to go through the questionnaire with us so he could introduce himself before the reception too. During the reception he checked in with us throughout the night to make sure we were happy, to let us know certain announcements were about to be made and to make sure the names for intros were pronounced correctly. He kept the dance floor packed the whole night and did a great job reading the crowd so he knew when to switch up the music. During the night I had a few friends come up to me and tell me the music so far was fantastic. He played a great mix of everything from oldies for our parents generation to 90s for our friends to some fun dance music for when we broke out the glow sticks at the end of the night. He even surprised us with special foam glow sticks to go along with ours. I could go on and on, but bottom line is you won’t be upset if you go with Danny and Northeast Event Design. He was phenomenal!

Truly look no further for a wedding DJ! Greg was absolutely top notch from our initial outreach to executing everything flawlessly on the day-of. Responsive, flexible, and creative - Greg and his team will work tirelessly to make sure your event goes off with out a hitch. Not only is Greg just an all around great guy and easy/fun to work with - but he's so clearly passionate about his work, and it shines through in many different ways. He was one of our most organized vendors, and was constantly planning and thinking ahead about specific details that were unique to our venue and were a true mark of a professional and veteran in this field. Our ceremony was rather remote with minimal power capabilities and a lot of moving parts, but Greg never missed a beat and all the songs lined up perfectly - and the microphones were just the right volume. Greg also worked with us to craft tailored playlists for our reception and cocktail hour that fit our personality as a couple perfectly - and he kept the dance floor packed the whole night! Also - a quick note on lighting...I never realized how much a few small key lighting details can transform a space until we saw Greg's vision come to life. When in doubt - Go with the lighting options! If that wasn't enough, Greg also remixed a couple of songs just for us - because that's just the kind of guy he is! We truly cannot recommend Greg and Northeast Event Design enough - we'll never use another DJ/Event Company!

I planned our wedding in Maine from across the country (California) and I didn't even get to meet Greg in person until the day of our wedding, but I didn't need to because just after a few conversations over the phone I knew he was our guy! Before we met Greg, Northeast Event Design had been recommended to us by family and friends but we knew that we wanted to make an informed decision for our special day. After all, one's wedding entertainment is one of the best investments you can make when planning your day. Which is why we were fortunate to meet Greg at the 2017 Freeport Wedding Show. He was kind, far from salesy, and willing to let us think things through.
After the wedding show, we met up with Greg at a local Dunkin Donuts and ended up closing the place down... little did we know it'd become a trend when later we closed down a local restuarant. Let's just say that sometimes in life you click with people and we definitely did with him. We knew he'd be the perfect DJ for our wedding!
Greg was amazing to work with from start to finish. He gave us all our options and even went out of his way to go to our venue with us to see it in person and test out lighting. He was understanding and came through with every one of our requests.
Fast forward to our wedding day and Greg did not disappoint! He worked well with our wedding coordinators, family, and friends. He truly ran the show. He knew what songs to play to keep the dancing going right until the last song!
Not only did we get the best DJ around but gained a friend in the process. If you're looking for a DJ, in need of lighting, or wedding entertainment, we would recommend Northeast Event Design 10 out of 10 times!

For a successful wedding day I cannot stress the importance of a phenomenal DJ/Emcee, and Dan from Northeast Event Design was just that! He was in contact with us throughout our planning process, responded to emails in a timely manner, and met with us prior to our event to walk through our entire timeline. Although our venue came with a day of coordinator, it was Dan who oversaw the entire day and made our wedding run smoothly. He worked seamlessly with our vendors, checked in on us throughout the event, and honored many of our guests late night dance requests! If you are looking for an "all in one" DJ and Emcee to make your event one to remember for both you and your guests, Northeast Event Design is the way to go. I would highly recommend Dan as he took the responsibility of our most important day incredibly seriously and delivered ten fold!

We are so thankful Danny served as our wedding DJ! This vendor was super important to us, as we knew it's not uncommon for DJs to steal the show. Danny was the opposite -- it was not about him, but rather delivering a celebration that met (and exceeded) our desires. From the very beginning to end, he was highly professional, responsive, consciencious, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He followed the vision and direction we offered (plays / do-not-plays, etc).... and where we gave him creative license, he hit a home run. He has a unique talent for reading the vibe / energy of the crowd and responding with just the right music. We had countless guests comment on how much they enjoyed the dance party. And truly, I (the bride) remember looking around the dance floor and noticing how HAPPY everyone seemed. It was awesome. We recommend without reservation!

If I could give 10 stars I would. Danny was absolutely amazing. He was professional, energetic and such a pleasure to work with. We can't say enough about Danny. He was an amazing help before, during and after our wedding. He is incredibly professional, but still personal and fun. It is evident that he takes the importance of the day very seriously. He kept everything moving smoothly, was quick to help when a snag in the timeline came up and spun absolute JAMS all night! So many people have said to us that he was the best DJ they've ever heard at a wedding, and it's true. Danny went above and beyond from the very start. He worked with us for the year leading up to our wedding day to ensure his services matched exactly what we were looking for. He is a great communicator (phone, email, in person meetings) which was so helpful and gave us a sense of ease. Danny is extremely organized, professional, fun and has an overall positive energy. He was respectful of our budget, listened to what we wanted and never pressured more. This is hard to find in the wedding vendor business! Danny exceeded our expectations throughout the planning process. When we saw him in "action" on the day of the wedding...we were blown away to say the least. Danny was the glue that held our whole wedding together. Not only was he an incredible DJ and entertainer, he also acted as a day of wedding coordinator. He communicated with the wedding planner and photographer the entire evening to ensure we stuck to the timeline. His attention to detail was incredible and did so much for us behind the scenes. For example, as he gathered guests for dinner/speeches... he realized me and my husbands champagne flutes were empty for speeches/toasts. He grabbed them, headed to the bar and came back with champagne for us in seconds. He kept us on task which allowed us to do all the things we had planned for throughout the evening. As for the music aspect--AMAZING!!! The dance floor was full all night long. He made the reception so fun and energetic. Everyone was so sad when the night had to come to an end...we didn't want to get off the dance floor.
If you are looking for a DJ...stop wasting your time reaching out to other vendors and hire Danny!! I promise he will make it the best event of your life.

We hired Northeast Event Design for our wedding and could not have been happier with their services. Greg was super professional, took time to meet with us in advance and come up with the flow of the evening and what we wanted to celebrate our special day.
The dance floor was packed all night! The energy was amazing! He kept the crowd going with hit after hit. We have gotten so many compliments from our friends & family. The services we selected were: Wedding Ceremony music, wedding reception & Photo Booth. They added some extra special touches by creating a monogram with our names, location & date. Greg was an amazing DJ! From the first meeting to saying goodbye, he was very professional and courteous. He knows every detail of the ceremony and the reception. He was very nice to all wedding guests, bridal party, and families. He is very organized. He is able to play the crowd on the dance floor and keep the party going all night. He blends the music and the songs well together and has great lighting options to match our wedding colors. He even wore clothes to match our wedding colors! I would highly recommend Greg for any events needed!

We chose Northeast Event Design, specifically Greg, as our DJ for our wedding on July 7th and we could not have been happier! Being able to pick and choose from his "menu" of options was amazing! Greg provided ceremony music, microphones for our officiant and readers, cocktail music, MC'd our reception, music for dinner and dancing, made us our own monogram to display on his DJ set up that also played music videos (music videos from the 90's while the dance floor was full was AMAZING!), provided uplighting which made our venue even more beautiful and fun, and provided our photo booth and all the props! Our guests danced the night away and raved about Greg's ability to read the crowd and keep everyone dancing, even my husband's 92 year-old grandmother was out on the dance floor! I also got digital copies of all the Photo Booth fun which are so much fun to look back on! Greg is professional but fun, so it's like hanging out with a friend but also knowing you're going to get the best of the best when it comes to your special day. Despite some difficulty with our venue, Greg was able to work around any road blocks and make everything happen that I wanted without myself or my husband knowing while we were focused on getting ready and I truly appreciated that! It definitely took a lot of stress off our plates knowing we had Greg and Northeast Event Design there! My husband and I could not recommend or thank Greg enough for everything he did to make our day the best day ever!

There are seriously not enough stars and positive things I could possibly say about Danny from Northeast Event Design!!! Being the ultra-organized [read:control-freak] bride, I was hesitant to trust very many people with what would be the most important day of my life to date. Every bit of that anxiety went away with one phone conference with Danny. He explained that he was so much more than a DJ, and he couldn't have proved that better on my wedding day. He was professional, personable, and polite. And I honestly believe my wedding wouldn't have gone half as well if it weren't for Danny. He kept us on time, a source of anxiety for me, he interpreted the flow and mood of the room as it fluctuated and played music accordingly. He reminded our guests of small details like our unique guest book, custom Snapchat filter, and hashtag throughout the night, so that we had an amazing amount of pictures and videos to watch to relive our special day from the perspective of our guests. He read the room and played music accordingly, but always checked with us in case there were specific songs we wanted to hear. He knew exactly what to do and say, before I thought to ask! I will recommend Danny and Northeast Event Design to all of my friends, and probably even strangers on the street!! He is just that good!!

Hiring Greg was one of the best decisions we made. During the ceremony his sound system was perfect for our outdoor oceanfront wedding. His sound system (clear and great sound) and DJ skills left our dance floor packed for the whole night. He took our ideas and song choices and created an amazing atmosphere all night long. We asked him to make us a surprise dance mix last minute and he did so within 24 hours!!! It was absolutely AMAZING! The photo booth was a hit for all ages. We are so happy to have even more photos of an unforgettable night. The uplighting was flawless and added a lot to our venue!

When the time came to plan our wedding, I knew without a doubt I had to have Northeast Event Design. They are hands down the best guys in the industry and you can tell they love what they do. When we started our wedding plans, we had tons of ideas that we wanted to do and they made them come to life! They were very open to all the things we wanted to do such a video messages, voice recordings, slideshows and certain songs. When the big day came we didn't have to worry about a thing, they made sure everything went off without a hitch. Many of our guests commented on how they had never seen a better DJ and didn't want them to stop! Our wedding was four years ago and we still hear comments about how everyone had a blast dancing and enjoyed the entertainment. We are so glad that we went with Northeast Event Design and would highly recommend them to everyone!

I have worked with Greg from Northeast Event Design both professionally as another wedding professional in the industry, and personally as a bride! To say he's the best is an understatement. Professional, friendly, caring, genuine... I could go on and on. He works with you closely to make sure your ceremony and/or reception includes all of the details you dreamed of, and will provide honest feedback and suggestions if you don't have specific ideas. Our dance floor (and the many dance floors I've witnessed from other weddings) was NEVER bare. I truly believe the vibe of your reception is solely dependent on the DJ/music playing, and Greg's vibe is always on point because he is incredible at reading the crowd he's catering to. He mixes songs in real time, will play your crazy requests, and is an excellent emcee. Lastly, his equipment is top notch and reliable, and his uplighting transformed our tent in a beautiful way. Every time we communicated with Danny, it was prompt, courteous, professional, and personal. We felt like our wedding was just as important to him as it was to us. This review is long overdue and much deserved. My wife and I were looking for a DJ and potentially a company that could provide photo booth services. We went to a wedding show and found most of the DJs just gave us a weird vibe. (They all came off like Jon Lovitz in the movie the Wedding Singer. Google that if you don't get the reference.)
When we met Greg in person we knew he was the one. He was professional, friendly, experienced, and so easy to work with. He played the music we loved (90's hip hop mixed with some modern contemporary stuff) and at the same time helped the wedding reception run smoothly without feeling he was "taking over the show" when he was on the microphone. He also did an outstanding job mixing in Greek music which was a must as my side of the family is basically out of the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
On top of the DJ services the professional uplighting he brought and set up in our wedding venue transformed it into a gorgeous wedding space. He changed the color and brightness of the lighting throughout the night and everyone commented on how beautiful it was.
As I mentioned we also were looking for Photo Booth services. He had multiple options with a traditional photo booth or a newer High Def Photo space for an additional cost (Think red carpet treatment). Upgrading for the High Def photo space was ABSOLUTELY worth it and ended up being a highlight of the wedding. Greg created a backdrop for the photo area with our wedding "logo" and the crowd LOVED it! Not only did guests get a instant photo strip of the pictures we also got every file and photo sent to us after that are priceless.
All in all I can't say enough good things about Greg and Northeast Event Design. Their services, equipment, and work is outstanding and second to none. Don't look further when looking for DJ, Lighting, and Photo booth services.

Danny was absolutely amazing. My husband and I had heard him play at one of our friends' weddings, and after listening to him, we knew we had to have him for our wedding. We were able to book with him and right from the get-go, we received such professional service and speedy responses to calls and emails. Danny had met with us for lunch before the wedding to go over final details, and he told us how much of a privilege it was for him to be asked to be such an important role in our special day, and that he is there to serve us and anything we may need. That really stuck with me, I've never had any other vendors tell me that and that made me feel so special. Danny showed up early for the reception and had everything set up very quickly. The uplighting looked amazing! The way he times songs, chooses songs, and talks to the crowd is unreal. Everyone kept asking my husband and I to please extend the reception to another hour so they can keep dancing. Almost two months have passed now since the wedding, and I am still continuing to get compliments as to how amazing the DJ was. My husband and I could not have been more pleased that we chose Northeast Event Design to DJ our wedding!
From the moment we met with Danny you could tell that he was the perfect choice. He was professional, organized and very knowledgeable. Danny took the time to go over all of the different options that Northeast Event Design has to offer and personalized it to fit our budget.
Danny sent us an organized worksheet that really helped us breakdown how the wedding should flow when it comes to music. This helped us tremendously!
Throughout the whole process whenever we had questions it was great to know that Danny was always available and more than willing to take the time to answer them. About a week prior to our wedding Danny met with us to review our song choices from the worksheet. He also helped us build a personalized timeline of how we wanted the night to go.
The day of our wedding Danny worked well with our other vendors to ensure everything flowed smoothly. We received feedback from our Officiant and Venue Coordinator that he was very organized and great to work with! They said he made their job feel “easy” and “he knew exactly what to do.”
Northeast Event Design also provided us with a photo booth and tons of props for our guests to use. This was a hit! People really enjoyed getting their picture taken and creating their own memories of the night. A few weeks after our wedding we were also provided with a copy of all the photos our guests took.
Danny brought such an amazing energy to our wedding. He got everyone out on the dance floor and spoke well when making announcements over the mic. The transitions between songs were perfect, and he truly made the day all about my husband and I.
Looking back, we would not change a thing. If you are looking for a company that truly understands how to make your perfect day just a little better, I would highly recommend reaching out to Northeast Event Design. You will NOT be disappointed.

Danny DeBruin was absolutely wonderful to work with. Of all the things a bride and groom have to worry about, not once did we ever have to worry about DJ/entertainment related anything. Not only did our DJ set up a photo booth for our guest book, but he made sure the special touches we wanted at our wedding were incorporated to reflect our relationship.
The lighting that was in our package made our wedding reception come alive! We are 4 days post wedding and we still are receiving compliments about hosting the funnest reception so far. Our entertainment truly made this day so much fun and so very special. Our wedding had many surprises leading up to our day and having Danny DeBruin to work with was nothing short of perfect.
He made us as a couple feel so special and he was so focused on our special day with each meeting we had leading up to the wedding. Danny was AMAZING! From our first conversation with him to the very end of our wedding he was professional, easy to communicate with, friendly and really made our wedding comfortable. He explained pricing and services so everything was easy for us to understand. The day of our wedding he was the most prepared out of all our vendors and made our wedding day perfect. I did not have a day of cordinator for the wedding but Danny did a wonderful job keeping the time and announcing what people should expect next and it made for a seamless flow throughout the entire day. The wedding went on longer than expected and Danny was so willing to keep the party going. He also did an amazing job at choosing music. We had a few must play songs but for the most part Danny worked his magic and played songs that the entire wedding party (260 people) could dance to and have fun with. Greg at Northeast Events was an excellent DJ and entertainer for our summer wedding. From the initial phone call and meeting to the very last song, he was both easy to work with and professional. The ceremony and reception went flawlessly because he was prepared which was awesome. During the ceremony, he timed all of the songs perfectly and had the microphones set for the readings. You could tell that Greg has a lot of experience and was very kind and willing to put us first to make our wedding everything we wanted.
Greg was very helpful throughout our planning and met with us twice, making the trip down from Lisbon to Portland both times. He was willing to offer as much guidance as we needed and gave us a detailed worksheet to help select songs for certain parts of the night which was very useful. He was also able to play every song we listed for the dinner hour and hit many of our favorites during the dancing part of our reception. If you don’t have as many specific songs for him, he is able to help you choose the genre of music, what songs you might want to hear, and even what songs you don’t want to hear. He made our wedding sound great and did a wonderful job.
Our friends and family kept on saying what a great dj he was and what an awesome time they had. The dance floor was full all night. Greg was an integral part of that and and we are so glad we were able to use his company for our wedding!

By far one of the best decisions my husband and I made during our planning process was choosing Danny at Northeast Event Design as our wedding entertainment. We met Danny very early on in our planning process and knew he was the right choice for us. He was very patient with all my requests to meet to make sure everything was on track. His knowledge of music and the whole wedding process was amazing and made us both feel at ease about everything. I don't think there was a time during our reception that the dance floor was not packed with friends and family. His ability to read the room and decide on the best songs to play is amazing. In addition to the music Danny also had uplighting set up which was great (he even matched our colors!) I highly recommend Danny for anyone looking to make sure they're reception is one guests remember!

Short Answer: Hire Danny
Long Answer: We'd been to weddings without DJs and noticed the music suffers and there is a critical lack of structure. We hired Danny to help with this and we got SO much more. Danny wore many super-helpful hats. In the pre-wedding questions he acted as ceremony-design consultant, providing us with a knowledge database to help with song selection and various aspects of the ceremony, dinner. At the wedding he coordinated with all the vendors and guests giving toasts etc. I noticed he had an exceptional ability to calmly and precisely explain the details and order-of-events in say, bridge-father dance, including details like, "and then you will help the bride to her chair." On the dance floor Danny had pretty much everyone dancing, he made announcements every time the shuttle was nearby, and he had people dancing who don't typically dance, like our older guests. Really a magical night.
If I were looking for a DJ in the Maine area, I would hire Danny. But if you are still shopping around, I would just call Danny. He is very open and reassuring on the phone. Any good vibes you get from him on the phone you can be rest assured they will be there on the big night.

I met Danny at a bridal show. Talked with him briefly then spoke with 4 other DJs. Dan made the best first impression! I am glad I stuck with my gut & chose him to DJ my wedding. He honored our list of do & do not play songs. He was very good at reading the crowd, knowing when to mix out of a song if people weren't feeling it. Danny did a great job DJing our wedding at the Nonantum this year. He provided us with ceremony audio, MCing, lighting, and nonstop dancing. Our dance floor was so packed through the night we're not sure if too many people had cake, but that's fine by us. He kept the party going, stuck to the style songs we like and stayed away from our do not play list.
Danny was easy to work with prior to the wedding, having us fill out a very detailed survey and not pressuring us when I was a little late. We then talked through our survey and he asked a few questions and the job was done. It was great to be able to complete the music portion so easily. Even when I had a last minute request, Danny made sure to reassure me and made everything work out perfectly.

Northeast Event Design was fantastic. We first met Danny through a family member and after experiencing the magic at a family wedding, we knew he was the right choice for our special day! Northeast Event design was professional and flexible, which was very important for us as we were planning our Peaks Island wedding from across the country! Danny was super helpful through the planning process and really understood our vision. Danny did a great job playing all of our favorites and had a great feel for the music style we were going for! Most importantly, our guests had an amazing time tearing up the dance floor! We highly recommend Northeast Event Design and would absolutely hire them again!!!

If you are looking for a wedding entertainment that will keep your guests engage from ceremony to the end of the night, Northeast Event Design is incredible.
I was very hesitant to make this a larger part of my budget, but having a very DIY venue I felt it was necessary, and it really tied everything together. I didn't have to worry that anything wasn't going to be taken care of with Northeast there, I would highly recommend.
Furthermore, with Danny specifically you are getting someone who truly listens, is responsive and goes completely above and beyond.

Look no further. Greg came and set up lighting and was our DJ for our wedding reception and blew everyone away. He had the dance floor completely filled the entire time and everyone was singing and dancing and told us that the music was incredible. Right at the beginning and even during dinner you could tell that he was playing a few songs and reading the crowd before anyone was done eating he had the room figured out. Just absolutely perfect job. Nailed it.

I wish there were more stars for me to click! My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of having Greg as our DJ for our wedding reception. He was absolutely spectacular! High energy, got our guests on the dance floor and kept them dancing until the very last song! Every guest we spoke with told us he was the best DJ they'd ever heard and that he completely MADE our wedding that much better! We chose the Amber up-lighting, and it gave our reception such a warm and inviting feel! The vibe of our reception was everything we ever wanted, and the music was spot on. Greg is so professional and meticulous, and such a great guy! My husband and I HIGHLY recommend Northeast Event Design! We recently were lucky enough to have Greg as the DJ for our wedding. He was incredible!! We truly couldn't come up with one negative thing about him or his work. We knew he was the DJ we wanted to work with from the first email we received from him. We could tell he was professional, personable, paid attention to detail, and would work his very best to make our day that much more special. And let us tell you from experience, thats exactly what he did. He truly was there anytime we had a question or request. Meeting with Greg before the wedding truly put us both at ease. We knew our reception music/entertainment would go off without a hitch and it truly did. From the cocktail hour to the last song of the night Greg really nailed the song choices. We had SUCH a blast at our wedding, we wish we could do it all over again. We would ABSOLUTELY choose Greg a hundred times over again and HIGHLY recommend him for your special day!

Danny was amazing! I had a great feeling after speaking with Danny the first time on the phone, and he really put my wife-to-be at ease during the planning phase of our wedding. It was great to know that there was one less thing to worry about and he really took care of us.
Its been 2 months since our wedding and we are still getting compliments from friends and family on our DJ (seriously, the one thing we keep hearing about). Danny read the crowd perfectly and kept the party going! I wish we could have kept the party going until dawn. Who knows, maybe we'll have to get an anniversary dance party together....

From the Mother of the Bride ... I cannot be more pleased with our DJ Greg. I told my daughter I would pay for the DJ and she immediately asked for Greg. Our first introduction to his work was at my niece's wedding in 2012. The reception was amazing and obviously he was a major part of that. Then in 2015 Greg was with our famiy again for our other niece's wedding celebration. We knew at that point that he was the one we hoped would be available when it was our daughter's turn. Our daughter had a destination wedding and was provided a video of the ceremony. Greg brought in 2 large TV screens and when everyone had arrived for the (very typical!) reception back here at home a few days later, everyone took a seat and you could hear a pin drop as the video played. We were thriled and it made everyone feel like they were at the wedding. Immediately after, we were all introduced and the party began. It was perfectly coordinated! From wedding video, to first dances, Photo Booth, glow sticks and the party music the bride and groom requested ... it was the party celebration they wanted and then some. The feedback from our 100+ guests was crazy favorable for the DJ, music and fun night. Job well done and he has already been highly recommended and will continue to be!

We recently had the pleasure of working with Greg at North East Event Design for our wedding. From our first meeting until the big day we were impressed with his attention to detail and his willingness to make our day as special as possible.
We met with Greg before our wedding to go over songs that we wanted to incorporate into our day and also the timeline of events. We quickly realized that there were so many aspects that we had not thought of, but Greg was there to guide us and make suggestions. He was extremely responsive to email and carried himself in a very professional manor. We found all the equipment used to be state of the art, and our guests really enjoyed the photo booth. The monogram adds a great touch to any venue and ties the whole package together.
During the ceremony we were very pleased with how the music was ever changing to facilitate a lively dancing environment suitable for our guests. Overall we couldn’t be happier with the services we received from Greg and North East Event Design team. They are a must for anyone looking for a DJ service.

We worked with Greg for our May 7, 2016 wedding at Point Lookout and would HIGHLY recommend him to other couple's looking for a DJ. Greg was great to work with and extremely responsive. He worked with us ahead of time to create an awesome wedding timeline and made the reception flow perfectly. He understood our style in music and knew how to keep the party going all night. We told him we wanted music to keep our guests on the dance floor all night and didn't disappoint! Additionally, his equipment was super high-tech looking and didn't take away any room from the dance floor.

He took the time to sit down with us leading up to our wedding to discuss the details and even gave us ideas we had not even thought of. Greg is amazing at what he does! I knew right away that I wanted Greg as the DJ for our Wedding. My husband used to own an entertainment business and really wanted to do his due diligence before making the final decision. It took him meeting Greg ONCE to realize he's the best of the best. Greg was so easy and fun to work with. We gave him a lot of freedom when it came what songs to play at the wedding. He was so good at reading the crowd and made sure to play songs that every guest could dance to no matter the age! We LOVED the photo booth, the glow sticks, and the social media technology Greg used. If I could give him 6 stars, I would. :) Thank you Greg! You made our wedding so much fun.

We worked with Danny from Northeast Event Design and he was absolutely wonderful! A friend of ours recommended him as we were not familiar with any DJs in Maine and we couldn’t have asked for a better DJ! He was very responsive and professional from day one. Danny is very organized and very knowledgeable not only about music but about weddings. He sent us a planner sheet a few months before the wedding that helped us figure out what music we wanted along with getting our timeline of events in order. Danny was super flexible and patient when we set up our appointment about a month before the wedding. We live in Boston so meeting on a week day was hard for us but Danny was very flexible in meeting us on a holiday! Having as much time on the dance as we could was very important for us. Danny listened to what we wanted and he went above and beyond our expectations! We had our family and friends on the dance floor all night thanks to Danny, it was incredible! All of our guests had such a blast dancing and loved the music he played; he did such an excellent job! Danny really made our wedding experience so memorable and I hope we have the chance to work with him again!

Northeast Event Design was amazing from our initial phone conversation through the end of our reception. Everything was just perfect. Our DJ Danny was amazing, completely the life of the party and got all of our guests up on the dance floor! Guests ages 8 to 88 were all having an amazing time. The photo-booth package they offer is incredible...the props were so fun and the booth even immediately printed keepsake photos for all guests to keep! As a late night surprise he pulled out some awesome huge foam glow sticks to turn things up a notch and end the reception with a bang. This was such a hit with everyone, I think every single guest was on the dance floor at this point. Danny was an absolute pleasure to work with, he listened to all of our ideas and provided us with a very helpful template to aid him in selecting the best music for our party. All of our guests were raving about the songs he played and how fun he was overall. We could not have asked for a better DJ, everyone wanted the night to go on forever. As a bonus we all got to keep the cool glow foam stick :)

DJ Danny was absolutely fantastic!!! We are so thrilled we picked him to be our DJ and would recommend him to anybody!! Not only does he customize the playlist to your requests/likes/dislikes but he is an amazing emcee and coordinator as well. Danny kept us in the loop all night and was very in touch with making sure things ran smooth and on time. He did an amazing job with announcing the entrances and dances/speeches throughout, and kept the crowd rocking all night! Everybody raved about how much fun they had and how the dance floor never cleared out!! It was exactly what we were hoping for, thanks Danny!!

Greg is amazing! He is unbelievably professional, made any possible stress of the day disappear and to top it all off made our small wedding of 40 people turn into an all out dance party rager!!
I will say I was hesitant given his prices are on the higher end however he lives up to them. My husband and I love music and dancing and with throwing such a small wedding were really focused on making sure the music got people up and moving. Greg did an awesome job taking our playlist and then expanding on it and changing things up so as soon as people walked off the floor they were running back on because "OMG that's my soonnnng!" came on.
If the entertainment portion is important to you, book Greg! He's worth it. The day would've been great no matter what but Greg helped make it perfect. Best DJ ever!

Greg and Northeast Event Design was the best decision we made when it came to our wedding! When we first met Greg he was extremely personable, helped us figure out exactly what we wanted, and covered a few details we had never even thought of! On our wedding day his music choices kept everyone on the dance floor the whole night, and his ability to role with new things had all our guests very impressed! He was extremely professional with a great smile that put us at ease, and on a day with so many items to worry about, this was never one of them! We heard about Danny through multiple vendors. Whenever we asked for recommendations Danny was first on the list. We knew we needed to have him! He was very easy to communicate with him which was very important to us when planning a wedding in Maine from afar. I would text him with questions, and he would respond right away. We also took advantage of the up-lighting and Monogram services. They turned out amazing!!! His set up is very clean and Danny did a great job getting the party going! He is very professional and organized. Before the wedding Danny took time to meet us and review all the details of the wedding, it was amazing hearing all his ideas and things we had never thought of.
Day of the wedding went off without a hitch. He organized the bridal party outside and the party began! People were on the dance floor all night long! The variety of music was perfect for our guests. Danny and his crew work like a well oiled machine. Many guests commented on how great Danny was and how the music was a perfect selection. Danny did a great job the Country Club didn’t look like a club, and kept it classy and elegant and at the same time no one wanted to leave the dance floor. He even stayed an extra half hour for us because the party was too good to stop! My husband and I could not be happier with our choice of Northeast Event Design. We highly recommend Danny! He isn’t your typical DJ, he really can offer any services you might need for your big day.

Greg from Northeast Event Design was the DJ for our wedding. He was amazing! Our guests had a blast and could not stop talking about how great the music was. We had our guests request songs with the RSVP's and Greg played almost everything we gave him for requests. We discussed every aspect of timing, introductions, music, lighting to all be on the same page. He paid a lot of attention to what we wanted and how we saw the night going. And he even managed to pronounce my grandmother's name correctly which is an accomplishment! It was a lot of attention to details and we really appreciated it!

We chose Danny because he is head and shoulders above other local DJs. We didn't want a stuffy overly formal wedding with a cheesy '80s style DJ in a sparkly rented tux... Danny is a consummate professional. We conversed often via phone and email before & after our in-person meeting. Danny has this down to a science - he fully understands how to read a crowd and how to engage each age group - all while keeping the dance floor packed. I could write volumes about how great our wedding was and how Danny was the primary reason why our friends from NYC and Boston are still talking about it. I also highly recommend the Photo Booth!

Working with Dan from Northeast Event Design was a WONDERFUL experience. Dan is a very responsible, organized, and attentive DJ who takes care of all the little details so that you don't have to worry about anything during your wedding. Dan put on quite the dance party and so many of our guests commented on how much fun they had. He provided us with lots of planning materials way ahead of time and was very flexible with being available for both our ceremony and reception. He also added in some additional fun lighting that made the dance floor look really fun. Rest assured Dan will work very hard and will absolutely be a wonderful contribution to your event.
