We knew we found our place!

We loved everything about North Star Farm. The things that drew us to this place were many, to list them all would be impossible. But there were a couple things that really stood out. One was the property itself, well taken care of and manicured and so many trees. Probably the biggest draw was the owners, Rebecca and her husband Scott. We felt, from the time we stepped out of our vehicle and Rebecca introduced herself, this was our place. She was so welcoming, and excited to show us around the venue, while giving us the run down on what was included, she also asked about our vision, and had Suggestions as to how that could be incorporated into the venue. We toured a few other places and those just didn't compare, making our decision easy. We loved the fact that they are owner operated, and the owners actually work with and communicated with us through the whole process from beginning to end. They we're very organized, with lists of highly recommended vendors, and time lines for our wedding day. Another thing we liked was they have separate suites for the bridal party, not just 2 small spaces, but a house for my Bride & her bridesmaids and a dairy barn for myself and my guys. Both have air conditioning. 5 stars on guys space itself. Their reception building is so cool, no other place has the lighting they do, which sets the vibe. A reception dance there is a show stopper alone, our guests loved it and never stopped dancing. I must say I'm not sure there is another wedding venue that has anything like they have. You can tell Rebecca and Scott, along with their staff, put their hearts and soul into everything they do there. They have thought of everything. If you are getting married and are looking for a venue, this is a must tour venue. Your search may be over after you visit North Star Farm.

A Dream Come True!

My husband and I chose North Star Farm to be our venue after tour multiple venues. Every box was checked by them, in what we were looking for. There we're a few boxes we did not even think of that they helped us with. They have thought of everything here, which kept our minds from spinning and put us at ease. They grounds are well kept, building area beautiful. Everything there is picturesque, and the sunsets there are amazing. Vender Suggestion were top notch. And last but not least amazing owners. Everything was a dream come true.

We loved North Star Farm!

We absolute loved how our wedding turned out at North Star Farm. Rebecca and Scott were amazing to work with. Everything about the process and our wedding day was easy, stressless, and seamless. We are still hearing from our guests about how much fun our wedding was. If you are looking for a venue for your wedding, we highly recommend North Star Farm for yours!

This Place is so Beautiful, and well thought out!

I attended a wedding here this past summer and was blown away at its Beauty. Being from the cities, this is how I would imagine a farm to be. It still has that feeling with the original farm house and dairy barn.
What they have done with the farms original quonset and turning it into a really cool reception barn with a large patio is something to see. It even has AC!
The ceremony is area is completely cover from the large trees surrounding it. Everything was green, you could tell they take pride in their venue's appearance.
The staff there was amazing, So kind, thoughtful, and all hard working. They are a well oiled machine.
As a guest my wife and I really enjoyed everything about the wedding we attended there. I cannot say that about a lot of weddings I have attended in the past. I would highly recommend this venue.

So Happy with our choice of North Star Farm as our venue

My wife and I got married at North Star Farm in July. We are so happy with the choice we made to get married there. First off, Rebecca was an absolute joy to work with throughout the whole process, she was so much help in answering any questions we had lowering the stress level. Loved that the venue has both a bridal suite(the farmhouse) and a grooms suite(in the dairy barn). I must say from my own experience, the grooms suite is really cool. Our parents kept commenting on how organized everything turned out. Thanks to Rebecca, she didn’t miss a thing. We loved the fact they had decor to use, so we didn’t have to bring any of our own, other than some engagement photos. Oh yeah, I cannot forget about the lighting there, both inside and out. It feels like a different place once the day turns to night, it’s magical. Outside Edison string lights all around. Warm patio lighting and a fire pit. Inside the Uplighting, which is included, that matched our colors too. One of the coolest things that sets this venue apart from all the others we toured was that they have their own dance floor lighting. If you choose one of their recommended DJs, those DJs get full access and control of lighting. Its pretty impressive and I highly recommend going in this direction. Their catering options made it hard to choose just one, but we managed to do so. Their ceremony area is shaded, and all the building on the property have AC including the reception barn! All are musts for a July wedding. Long story short - We cannot say enough about North Star Farm, Rebecca & Scott, and all their staff. If we had to do it again we wouldn’t change a thing about our day or the venue. They were our number one choice! Highly recommend!

Incredible!!!!

We found North Star Farm by luck, and it was one of the best things to have happened to us! From the second we saw the place we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. Rebecca and Scott are two of the greatest people we have had the pleasure of working with, and they made our experience feel like a dream come true. They truly made every part of our wedding day amazing. I could write a novel on how incredible they are as owners/coordinators and just how amazing they are as people! Do yourself a favor and book this venue ASAP, it’ll be one of the greatest decisions you’ll ever make :)

Rebecca & Scott were AMAZING to work with. We had 3 venues lined up to tour, we looked at North Star first & canceled our other tours, we fell in love INSTANTLY! Rebecca answered ALL our questions in a timely manner. Rebecca & Scott made wedding planning so smooth with the little details & all their advice that was given. We honestly couldn’t have picked a better place to get married at! So many cool & different places to get pictures taken! We have recommended North Star to other friends & family looking at getting married or hosting any other gathering out there! I 10/10 recommend having your event at The North Star! It was a beautiful day on top of it! Thank you again, Rebecca & Scott!!

Amazing Wedding venue and staff

Northstar Farms is an amazing venue and Rebecca and Scott are a dream to work with, My daughter's wedding went off without a hitch on their part (we had a broken zipper though). All of the guests have been so complimentary of Northstar Farms. It is beautiful there with so many things for people to do during the reception. Everything is so clean and inviting. The spaces for Bridesmaids and Groomsmen are unparalleled. Plenty of mirrors stools and outlets for the ladies and the guys had a pool table, foosball table and TV to enjoy.
Rebecca and Scott were quick to reply to questions and accommodating of special requests. THey truly want there clients to have the best experience they can provide and go over and above to make that happen.

They made everything seamless for our special day!

North Star Farm was great to work with. They provided lists for vendors, things to do, things to remember, and a blank itinerary that made this experience less stressful and move smoothly! Their accommodations were amazing from getting ready for the wedding all the way with a place to lay our heads at the end of the night. The grounds had all we were looking for and the games were awesome for the guests. Guests were texting us the next letting us know how beautiful the place was and how much fun they had. It was a great place to have our wedding!!!!

North Star Farm and Event Center was AMAZING. It was the first wedding venue we visited and we knew it was the one for us

Rebecca and her husband Scott were amazing hosts along with their helpers on the day of. They make you feel taken care of and make it so easy for guests as well. We are SO glad that we chose this venue. We would do it again in a heartbeat. The location is amazing and the pictures do not even do justice for this beautiful venue. 100% worth it

Absolutely Magical

This venue is insanely awesome! The owners are extremely easy and wonderful to work with - with tons of flexibility offered (which is rare in the industry - as we all know). But the true star is the property. You don't even really NEED decorations, because the natural state of the place is breathtaking enough. Even our guests have been gushing about the ambiance. On top of all of that, the owners are also beautifully organized and well prepared to make your day go smoothly! I'm telling you - use this venue and you will not be sorry!!!

They even met with us before our wedding day to go over all of the details of the day and provided a day of cordinator help with the day of details. They even provided decorations and helped with set up. The venue is beautiful and we would highly recommend!!

Exceptional experience

My daughter was married on October 29. 2021. The day was beautiful. Everything we needed was taken care of almost before we could ask. Details that we hadn’t thought of were taken care of. Rebecca was there to help every time we needed her. She even packed up my daughter’s belongings so she was ready to leave for her honeymoon. We could not have been treated better. The day and evening were wonderful.

Absolutley stunning location made better by venue owners!

My husband and I were married on June 12, 2021, at North Star Farm Event Center. We loved this venue so much! The setting is so incredibly gorgeous, everywhere you look is another beautiful vista or adorable spot to take a picture. Our guests raved about this venue and all it had to offer! Being able to rent the farmhouse that is onsite allowed my husband and I to not worry about where we would stay or transportation, we simply strolled over to the lovely farmhouse and stumbled into a very comfortable bed. The farmhouse was available for the bridal party to get ready day of, and the groomsmen used the dairy barn. It was so nice to have everyone get ready onsite, it cut down on so many unpredictable scenarios. The farmhouse was so spacious we had 11+ women in there and there was plenty of room to sit, chat, snack, and have our hair and makeup done. We didn’t even need to worry about weather because the venue owners had so many contingency plans and a large covered area that our ceremony could have gone ahead in a variety of comfortable spaces. I was planning this wedding from a different state and the venue owners, Rebecca and Scott, were so flexible when it came to letting me visit the venue whenever I was in town. They were incredibly responsive communication wise and made the long-distance planning even easier because they offered so many extra décor options. I was able to pick and choose exactly what I wanted for the majority of the décor we needed. Our wedding was stunning because of the location at North Star Farms and we will never forget of easy they made this for us!

Phenomenal Venue, Awesome People

Can't stop recommending them!

We truly loved working with Rebecca and Scott at North Star Farm Event Center. The venue itself is gorgeous and accommodating to all needs and wedding styles, but what Rebecca and Scott include in their pricing is unmatched by other MN barn or farm venues that we toured. You are getting a great team who wants to support you and help out as much as they can on your wedding day! We are still receiving compliments about them and their venue months after our wedding. People truly loved it!

Amazing venue with flexibility in vendors

North Star Farm is so easy to work with. They are very flexible, laid back and professional. We had nothing but positive comments about the venue, beautiful scenery and lay out of the venue. Rebecca and Scott are very helpful when trying to plan your wedding. They have suggestions for vendors to bring in and use at their venue. Very reasonably priced for all you get!

Exceeded our expectations!

We couldn't even keep count of the amount of compliments we received from our guests about this venue and it’s owners, Scott and Rebecca Lange!! What an absolutely breathtaking venue with outstanding owners!!! Rebecca and Scott are dedicated to making your day exactly how you incision it. Trust me, THIS IS WHERE YOU WANT TO GET MARRIED!

Best. Venue. Ever.

Affordable and completely gorgeous venue! They do an absolutely amazing job! We had so many people compliment the venue. They also check in with you frequently and make sure your day runs smoothly. I definitely recommend hiring them for your wedding! You will not be disappointed!

We love North Star!

Our June wedding turned out better than we had dreamed! We absolutely loved having the rustic, elegant, outdoor feel to it all. The venue comes with so many accommodations and decorations for use. The landscape looked so beautiful and all our guests couldn't stop talking about how gorgeous both the landscape and the quonset barn was. Regarding the owners, Rebecca and Scott were incredible throughout the whole process, even through the uncertainty of COVID 19. They were both so kind and helpful throughout the planning stages and the wedding weekend. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone who wants a stunning wedding at a special place.

Walter Wedding

Would highly recommend North Star Farm Event Center! They were so helpful with everything and made the process so easy. Rebecca and Scott made our dream wedding come true. They are so professional and organized. Were willing to work with us and help us with any questions or concerns we had, from the venue, food, DJ and anything to make the wedding day perfect especially during this crazy Covid19 season.

So happy we chose North Star Farm!

My fiancée and I have been looking around for a while, and we found North Star Farm. We saw the pics online, toured, and loved it so much we booked the next day with them. Becky and Scott have been very accommodating and have gotten back to us with our questions and requests. Plus, they are in our price range, which is great. We're looking forward to making special memories this fall at our wedding at North Star Farm!

Beautiful and Scenic

Absolutely loved this venue. The beautiful farmland in the country is the perfect setting for a wedding. There was a lot of space and I thought the onsite Airbnb was such a cool option. My friend said she loved having her wedding out here and that the Owners were awesome to work with. I also noticed it was very handicap accessible. You have to check this place out.

This place is amazing!

Scott and Rebecca, owners and awesome caretakers of North Star Farm Event Center, are two very cool people - from the first time we met, my husband and I could tell that they took great pride in their land, buildings and business. They are down to earth, communicative and responsive, creative and talented, wonderful people. We're are 1000% pleased that we chose North Star Farm Event Center to begin out life together. I can't recommend them enough!

Simply wonderful!

My husband and I couldn't have envisioned a lovlier day for our daughter and son-in-law. The team at North Star Farm Event Center did a fabulous job helping to make the wedding a wonderful event. Rebecca and team were so helpful and accommodating. We highly recommend North Star to people planning weddings or other large events! Bravo!

Great place!

We loved being a guest a North Star Farm. Beautiful outdoor area for a wedding -- trees and great breeze. The reception barn has beautiful lights and decorations too. Gorgeous venue!

Great venue!!

Rebecca and Scott were both great! They were accommodating and friendly throughout the entire process. Additionally, the venue was so pretty. The guests loved it. The way they have everything set up is perfect. I love how close this venue is from the city. The drive there was smooth. The venue gives a rustic and cozy vibe, which I love. The bartenders were great and the entire staff. I highly recommend North Star Farm!!

As a wedding planner in the event industry, I knew how crucial it was for me to find a venue I loved for my wedding that was able to provide flexibility and safety.
My husband and I were married on June 4, 2021, at North Star Farm Event Center. We loved this venue so much because of the venue owners, Rebecca and Scott, and their day-of, Taylor. They all stepped in and helped in areas needed and were fantastic and crucial in making our day flow.

North Star is a beautiful barn venue located in Le Sueur, MN with tons of open space and gorgeous barns. What made North Star stand out to us was what was offered in our payment. They have a plethora of decor that couples can choose from to borrow, they allow any vendor (even though they do provide a preferred vendor list), they have great options for getting-ready rooms, backup ceremony plans, etc. In fact, I could text Rebecca when I had questions or worries and she would get back to me as soon as she could to help me process and plan. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a rustic, elegant barn wedding, and to anyone looking to have a great venue experience and relationship!

Amazing elegance... Simple

Rustic Elegance and Flawless Service

Scott and Rebecca are a force of nature. They are outstanding hosts and easy to work with. We were immediately impressed with the gorgeous venue and the ease in which we could move about the grounds. And we were certainly not disappointed on our wedding day. I couldn’t imagine a more beautiful and peaceful place to marry the love of my life. They have beautiful decor and set up/tear down what is theirs. They were super helpful during the stress of COVID-19 wedding planning! Thank you both for your flexibility, communication, and kindness and helping the day go flawlessly!

Great, Casual Venue to Fit Everyone’s Needs

We had our wedding here in June 2023 and it was everything we could have asked. The staff were amazing and the venue had something for everyone. They have a great list of vendors to make it easy on planning. We had a great time!

Disappointing Experience

We visited North Star Farm and decided to book a wedding in June 2020. From our one visit, the venue appears beautiful. But as the Covid-19 virus spread, we realized for safety and coordination that it wouldn't make sense for us to have a large wedding. We reached out to North Star to cancel the venue, and were told that all weddings were "go-ahead" and no refunds are available. We discussed with North Star on the phone, and learned that most weddings in May and June were postponed and not "go-ahead" as advertised. They offered to change dates, but changing dates for our wedding was not an option for us. North Star decided to make one "exception" and us a refund of 1/3rd of our deposit. We realize that this virus is costly for everyone but paying thousands of dollars for nothing seems unreasonable. All of our other vendors have offered full refunds, so North Star Farm's response has been disappointing.

North Star Farm Event Center's reply:

We understand the pandemic is a very trying time for all involved. Unfortunately, navigating through this time can be difficult with all the unknowns. Our venue however, has been in contact with many venues across MN like ours. We do belong to an association with lobbyists and attorneys that have tried to help all us venues throughout this entire situation. We feel sad that Kaela and Luke cancelled their end of June 2020 wedding. We do have a few weddings in June so Kyle’s statement about us not having weddings in June is not an honest statement. We are looking forward to our June 2020 weddings and we are thankful for those couples getting married here in June 2020 and beyond; they have been very great to work with.
Kaela and Luke reached out to us on March 17 asking about our policy on corona virus. This was the first day of the shutdown. We responded that we were planning all weddings as a go-ahead and that there were restrictions on group sizes for the next 8 weeks. We require couples to purchase liability insurance and we informed Kaela and Luke that their insurance did not cover the corona virus. We also informed them that the venue insurance we carry only covered if something happened to the venue site (for example if there was a tornado and all the buildings came down, etc.). The couple responded by saying they have time before their June 26, 2020 wedding and the conversation ended there.
On April 19, we received another email from Kaela stating that she wanted to cancel her wedding and asked us if we would “provide some sort of refund”. On April 20, we responded by saying all of our 2020 wedding were still scheduled as planned. We offered Kaela and Luke a later time in 2020 and they refused and stated they wanted to cancel their wedding.
We ended up on the phone with Kaela and Luke to discuss the situation. We did discuss again their contract with the venue. Per our contract with Kaela and Luke, no refund was to be given within this timeframe. The couple demanded they should get at least half back. We compromised and both parties agreed on the venue refunding 1/3 of the amount back to the couple. We did consult with an attorney as our contract was written by an attorney and we usually contact her if we have questions. Our attorney who is the expert in the wedding business and our contract did say a refund was not required, however, we felt that we could extend 1/3 back to the couple due to the circumstances.
On April 22, we sent a cancelation agreement to be signed by the couple. We received that agreement signed by the couple on April 24, and then mailed the agreement with our signatures and the refunded amount back to the couple.
On May 1, we received an email from Luke stating, “Thank you for your letter and the signed contract. We are planning to start posting this review of your venue online on Tuesday May 5th. Let us know if you would like to discuss ………………………………

That same day, on May 1, we responded to the email from Luke stating, “Luke and Kaela, We are truly sorry and feel sad that you cancelled your wedding. We understand you are not at fault nor are we at fault for the situation. We would have been more than happy to have you reschedule to a different date in 2020 or move to 2021 date. We also offered you this when we last spoke and you declined these options. We are still holding weddings in June, so if you do write a review that would not be honest. Our contract stated no refunds on weddings and we believe (XX) was a fair refund. Our attorney we work with stated we were not obligated to give a refund but we did and believe we went above and beyond in your case. Our attorney also stated your email was a potential threat/blackmail to hurt our business; we hope you'd consider this as you proceed. Again, we are sorry about this situation.”
Regarding Kyle’s statement, “All of our other vendors have offered full refunds, so North Star Farm's response has been disappointing”, North Star Farm is a venue/physical property and other vendors (caterer, florist, DJ, etc.) provide a product or service --- these services were not provided therefore it is easier to refund without loss to that particular type of business. However, with a venue, we have the cost of upkeep, maintenance, etc., and have held that date for a specific couple. In the barn wedding venue industry, it is common practice for us to have similar refund policies. Again, as we have mentioned we belong to an association of similar venues and have consulted with several venues across the state of Minnesota throughout this entire process. Those other venues are whom we’ve aligned our standards with. In addition, going back to the contract we had with the couple, we feel we went above and beyond in our response and attempted accommodations.
That being said, Kaela and Luke cancelled their wedding. We did not cancel on them. We work extremely hard to accommodate past, present, and future wedding couples. We feel bad about this situation, but we also feel that we were fair, honest, and upfront. We believe each contract is to be honored by all parties involved.
