To say working with Rachel and Kyle was an enjoyable experience would be putting things lightly. When we met North Arrow Creative, Drew and I knew immediately that we could not simply work with them, we had to be friends too. Their connection to one another and to their work is what I think helps North Arrow stand above the rest. Not only are they an incredible partnership, but those they have trusted to collaborate on their team are some of the most enjoyable and educated individuals we have worked with. We relied on Rachel and Kyle for their recommendations for countless vendors and none of which left us disappointed. It seems everyone doesn’t just know this team, they’re friends too; and after our time together, Drew and I can understand why. Rae & Kyle managed to do something so much more important than just take cool photos of our wedding. They gave me my memory back. Everything was such a blur that day, I remember NOTHING. But having these perfectly captured moments to look back on brought the experience into full color. They so seamlessly integrated into my motley crew of friends & family, that it looks like we were all professional photographers, taking the pictures ourselves. Every time I look at one of these photos, I'll be infinitely grateful to them for giving me this once in a lifetime event to hold forever. Highly recommend if you want to remember the best version of literally any event. Pricing was in line with other local professionals, and was honestly worth the money. Put them in your wedding budget first! -

The best ever!
Where do I even begin with this review?! Not only does their work speak for themselves, but they are also just the most fun and professional people I have ever worked with! They felt like friends sharing our special day with us, and made sure my head stayed on straight and kept all the ducks in a row! They were the anchor in the storm of both wedding planning and for the day of, with brilliant ideas for pictures, being flexible with any changes on the fly and just flat out being awesome and a joy to work with! Also, their pictures are AMAZING! Everyone has raved about them and all we got was the teasers so far, which I might add that we got them only 5 days after the wedding!!! Don't even hesitate, book them for any and all events because you will NOT be disappointed! -

Hiring North Arrow Creative is the best possible choice you can make for your wedding! We hired Rachel and Kyle to photograph our wedding after they photographed my brother's wedding a few years ago. I remembered loving them and their photos from the start, and it couldn’t have been a better decision. From the beginning, Rachel and Kyle went out of their way to make me and my now-husband feel comfortable, and we hit it off with them immediately. They are warm, lovely, and fun people who put us at ease during our engagement session, which was especially important since neither of us feels very comfortable being photographed.
On our wedding day, they were absolute professionals who stayed on top of everything while being warm and personable—immediately winning over our families and keeping me calm the whole day. They struck the perfect balance between guiding us when needed and disappearing into the background. There are countless photos from the day where I have no recollection of seeing them, yet they were everywhere capturing beautiful moments.
The photos themselves are stunning—I've never seen such beautiful wedding photography. Everyone looks like the most joyful and beautiful version of themselves, and Rachel and Kyle perfectly captured the love, joy, and fun of our day. We particularly love the pictures from our ring-warming ceremony, where we passed the rings around and they captured some really beautiful, intimate moments. THey sent us a preview of 800 photos just two days after the wedding (while also flying home, as we got married in Atlanta), which we were shocked by, and sent us over 1,000 more for the full album. We couldn’t believe how many incredible photos they had taken. Rachel and Kyle were exceptionally easy to work with and generous with their time and talent. Months later, we still receive compliments from friends and family about how beautiful our wedding photos are and how great our photographers were. I can't recommend Rachel and Kyle enough—they are just the best of the best. -

In all seriousness, working with Kyle & Rachel has been a DREAM. They are the BEST humans; kind, professional, accommodating, efficient (we got through family pictures SO quickly, my mind was blown!), and most of all, FUN!
As someone who's been in many weddings, taking pictures can be miserable. Anytime we're with K & R, the time flies, and we have an absolute blast. Our guests and bridal party also raved about how great they were to work with!
Their photos are incredible. We did engagement photos as well as wedding photos with them. I typically don't like taking photos because of my weight, but the photos K&R take always leave me feeling confident and beautiful. They use very creative & gorgeous locations, and really go above & beyond to get the shot!
Their communication and organization are top tier. We got our teasers in record timing. All of our guests were blown away and jealous that they didn't experience the same with their photographers!
I'm SO glad we stumbled upon North Arrow Creative, and I can't recommend them highly enough!! We will be using them for all of our photography needs in the future! -

Simply the best!
If you're in the market for wedding photographers, North Arrow Creative is the only name you need on your list. Rachel and Kyle are absolutely phenomenal. While we already had engagement photos, they offered a free photoshoot so we would be comfortable with their shooting and communication styles the day of. We took it as an opportunity to show ourselves in clothing and environments that were more casual and reflective of our personalities than our original photos covered. They were fantastic, and some of our favorite photos to date. During that shoot, we connected with Kyle and Rachel as friends, with all of us almost forgetting the reason we were at the bar in the first place.
We couldn't have asked more for our day of photos. They listened to everything we wanted, and their additional team members were professional and courteous. We could go on all day, but the photos speak for themselves.
Even after the wedding, their continued communication in making sure we knew when our photos, videos, album, etc. would be coming in was impressive. They are dedicated to every client and stick with you through the whole process. We opted in for the seven minute video - it was the perfect length and encapsulated all of the highlights from our big day.
These guys are truly the best, and we would recommend them to anyone!! -

Although I have no experience to compare our time with with NAC, I can still safely say that our expectations were thoroughly exceeded. We booked engagement and wedding shoots with Rachel and Kyle of NAC and from the beginning of our process in early ‘23 until our recent wedding of March ‘24, they have demonstrated tremendous attention to detail, professionalism, and care of their craft.
We were attracted to the aesthetic of the photos and were able to meet via Facetime with Kyle and Rachel numerous times before booking. In these conversations, they made my wife and I feel at ease and went over the process in detail and answered our many questions. In addition to the professional and technical aspects of photographing an engagement and wedding, the pair took extra time to get to know us personally and learn not only our dynamics as a couple but that of our friends and family who would be participating in the wedding shoots. We did not hesitate to move forward with their services.
Prior to our engagement shoot, NAC was in contact with us to plan out locations based on our clothing, personal preferences, and gave some great recommendations of their own. The shoot itself was carefree and fun and it became readily apparent that their eye for lighting, angles, and poses was extremely talented, with both Rachel and Kyle jumping in to suggest ideas and each bringing their own flair to their cameras. We were gladly surprised when we received our photo samples and finally the entire of folder of images from our afternoon. Suddenly, all of the beautiful photos samples that we reviewed when choosing photographers now included us! We were blown away by the quality and the true encapsulation of our relationship. Again, we were reminded that we made the correct choice booking with NAC.
On the big day, what stood out to my wife and I the most was how truly invested Rachel and Kyle were to the flow and success of our wedding. Based on our engagement shots, we were comfortable knowing that the photos would turn out stunning, but on numerous occasions throughout the day, the two went above and beyond to participate and make our lives easier, allowing us to focus all of our attention on each other. I remember fondly as Kyle ran across the parking lot at Silver Oaks with our golden retriever dog in tow and a hairbrush for the next round of photos while Rachel efficiently helped organize family and friends for their turns in front of the camera. It cannot be stated to the extent of which these two helped ensure the ease of our special day. Similarly to our engagement package, when we received our sampler from the wedding day, we were overwhelmed with the talent and consideration as we relived that day in photos. It is not an understatement to say that we looked at the previews over and over in the following days and were overjoyed each time.
Please consider booking North Arrow Creative for the special events in your life. You will take comfort in knowing that your moments will be handled by true professionals who will be deeply invested in all the small details. The photos and memories will speak for themselves.

The best boudoir and wedding photographers
I had an absolute pleasure of doing a boudoir shoot with Rachel and let me tell you, even tho it was my first time ever shooting boudoir, Rachel did THE BEST at directing me with poses and guiding me throughout our session and I did not feel uncomfortable or uneasy even for a second. Needless to say the outcome of that shoot was beyond amazing and I am in love with all the perfect portraits in the album. The retouching and editing she does on all her portraits is exceptional.
Not just that, I have known Rachel and Kyle for a few years now and have seen them first hand doing amazing photography on the venue. They captured my sister’s entire wedding right from their engagement celebration to their pre wedding and till the reception night. We absolutely love north arrow creative and we would recommend it to all our friends and family for all their future celebrations and occasions.

I had already hired the amazing duo that is North Arrow Creative multiple times for portrait, career/lifestyle, and engagement photos, so I knew they were going to knock our wedding out of the park, but I was still just absolutely blown away once the photos came back!
First of all, we got our preview gallery back much faster than I was expecting, and my husband and I were both so in love with the pictures! Honestly, if those preview photos were all we got, we still would have been over the moon. They were stunning, and captured the feel of our day perfectly. When we got the rest of the pictures back, I felt like I was once again reliving the high of that day, they transported me right back there, and were so, so beautiful (and funny! some of our guests' candids were hilarious, which we loved!). There was a great mix of posed and candid photos, and both Kyle and Rachel are great at directing you for poses and just generally making you feel at ease. No posing knowledge required!
They were great to work with through the whole process leading up to our wedding - they carefully listened to what both me and my partner wanted out of our big day, what moments were important that they capture. They provided us with a very detailed schedule for the day of the wedding as well, which we and all our vendors appreciated. They were endlessly patient the day of our wedding when, of course, family & friends started demanding group photos of them that weren't in our plan (and Kyle & Rachel only proceeded with the additional photos as long as it was okay with us as well, which we appreciated).
I can't wait to order an album of our wedding pictures now - I had actually ordered an album of our engagement photos from them a few weeks before our wedding in the hopes that I could use it as a guest book. Kyle & Rachel, being the amazing people they are, took that small turn around window and made it happen - editing dozens of photos and arranging them into a beautiful guest book/album for us. They even got it all done with a couple revisions I had requested. The book arrived on time, and it was absolutely stunning - very high quality, and will be a keepsake we treasure for a long time. I can't wait to order something similar for our wedding photos - the only hard part will be choosing a mere 30-ish photos from the hundreds of amazing photos they gave us.
I really couldn't be more happy with North Arrow Creative's work, you can't go wrong with these amazing people! -

North Arrow Creative is so talented!
We LOVED working with Kyle and Rachel for our wedding! Beginning with our first phone call, they were so personable, kind and knowledgeable. Throughout the process of preparing to shoot our big day they asked us numerous questions that prompted us to think about details we had not yet considered. As an interfaith couple, we had many Jewish components within our wedding ceremony. They were knowledgeable about the different traditions and already had ideas for how they could best capture those special moments (see Ketubah and breaking the glass photos!).
We had an engagement session prior to our Wedding day and during that session Kyle and Rachel helped my husband and I become more comfortable in front of the camera (we are both quite awkward!) and gave us feedback on poses. Due to all they did in the engagement session, our photo taking on the day-of went so smoothly! Rachel and Kyle were also immensely flexible and quick on their feet. It was quite busy in Forest Park that day, but they quickly thought of several spots we could go that would be less busy and where we could take our pictures. They also are COMMITTED to their vision and will do whatever they need to, including standing on questionably secure objects and laying on the ground, to get the picture!!
And don’t even get me started on their final products… we are in AWE every time we look through our photo album. They captured so many beautiful moments, both formal moments and the inbetween silly moments. They truly captured the beauty and magic of our special day and we could not be more grateful. Thank you, thank you Rachel and Kyle for sharing your talent! -

I've used North Arrow Creative for ANY and ALL of my photography needs, and will 100% continue to do so! Ray and Kyle are extremely personable, beyond hilarious, indubitably comfortable to be around, and are full of lively, positive energy. They're very punctual and professional, and their work never falls short of museum-worthy masterpieces.
A big part of what really made them stand out to me, was their ability to give me direction on how to move/pose during sessions, in addition to their constant encouragement. I can shy/awkward in front of the camera, especially with a stranger or someone I don't know well, but never once have I been nervous when working with Ray and Kyle.
I love how genuinely positive and encouraging they are. Their sincerity and vibes really boost my confidence during sessions and make it so easy for me to loosen up. North Arrow Creative will always be my first recommendation when asked, and my first choice when needing photos/videos! -

By far the best experience we could have asked for. Ray and Kyle did any amazing job capturing our engagement photos and our wedding photos. I recommend doing both engagement and wedding with them! Phenomenal we love them so much

Rachel and Kyle are the absolute BEST. Their photos were stunning, they were very organized and professional, and they were simply a joy to be around. Because we chose not to do a first look, we had a very limited time to get photos after the ceremony before the reception began. Rachel and Kyle were totally on top of it -- they lined everyone up and told them who was 'on deck.' They learned the names of everyone in my wedding party, and the grandmas told us later that they had inside jokes with our photographers. Me, my husband, and our entire families have fallen madly in love with North Arrow Creative! Due to Covid we needed to find a photographer in 2 months time and North Arrow happened to be available by the grace of God! They were more than accommodating and whipped up everything we needed in a matter of a few weeks. They provided a well thought out timeline, they had scouted our location, and had talked with us extensively about our vision for our wedding day. When it came to our wedding day, we felt like we were in amazing hands with Kyle and Kegan! They were both such joyful people to be around it was clear they are complete pros at their job and have shot tons of weddings. They were great at adjusting on the fly to any photo ideas we had and even went out of their way to accomplish this grand concept I had for a photo in my mind and it turned out better than anticipated! The turn around time for our photos was within 2 weeks and the photos that the team had selected just captured every aspect of our wedding day perfectly! I feel like I am reliving the day time and time again. Another big aspect that we took into consideration when choosing North Arrow was their editing style. It is so timeless and not over done so I know we will want these photos on display until we are old and gray. I truly cannot recommend every member of this team enough and hope that everyone considering North Arrow Creative will book them ASAP! It is so worth every, single dime! -

We were so lucky to use North Arrow Creative for our engagement, wedding, and boudoir session! They are so talented and innovative with their work. We LOVE everything they captured and the special touches they put on things. Having amazing photos and video was a top priority for us and Rachel and Kyle were with us each step of the way, making the planning effortless. They responded to each of our questions promptly and helped ease any worries on the day of. Honestly they are the most fun to work with. The engagement session was the first encounter working with them and we were blown away with how much fun we had! And of course by how unbelievable the photos and video turned out.
As far as boudoir sessions go, I highly recommend working with Rachel. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease during the session with some great music and lots of laughter! It was a wonderful experience. Not only are they extremely passionate about their work, they are amazing people who we are now proud to call our friends. I knew I wanted to do a boudoir session & gift it to my husband on our wedding day. As with many people, I was a little nervous about the whole process. I must say though, Rachel & I completely hit it off the first time we met. When I reached out to her about the boudoir session, she couldn’t have been more excited & helpful. Throughout the shoot, she made me feel 100% comfortable. We laughed & listened to music, it was such a wonderful experience & for those that may feel a little apprehensive—know that Rachel will take away any nervous feelings you may have. She got my photos back to me in a very timely manner & her willingness to work with all of my wants & needs in the photos is so much more appreciated than I could ever express to her. My wife and I stumbled on North Arrow Creative's page when searching for a local photographer to do our engagement session and wedding day. We reached out to them and they quickly set up a Skype session to learn more about us and give us the opportunity to put a face (faces) to the name. From that moment on, we knew we had the right team to help us document our wedding experience. Kyle and Ray are an amazing team who are passionate about love, in all forms, and show that through every conversation, hang out, and picture they take. Kyle and Ray even traveled with us to Kansas City to take our engagement pictures in some of the most important places to us. Prior to our wedding day, we got the chance to hang out with them again and go over every single detail of the day. They never leave a meeting until every question has been answered or scenario explored, which I could not have appreciated more. Our pictures turned out more amazing than I could have ever imagined. Once the wedding day is over, all you will have left of the day are the pictures and videos, so choosing a photographer is, in my opinion, your most important decision.....CHOSE NORTH ARROW CREATIVE....you will not be disappointed. We hired North Arrow for our engagement session and loved not only the quality of their work but how enjoyable they made our session and time together. They spent extra time on all of the details for a shot and made it an enjoyable experience for my fiance (who isn't crazy about taking photos.. much less a photo session) and I.
The style of the shots is exactly that we were hoping to achieve-- natural, eclectic with a little bit of hipster/rad flavor. We were not interested in "posey" photos and I would say their style compliments for in-the-moment magic. We loved working with them so much we ended up hiring them for our wedding as well! Truly a great experience throughout. Communication with their team was also quick and professional. -

Laurend Sent on 04/05/2018My sister wanted to capture the exact moment she surprised our family with the news that she was pregnant with the first grandchild. And my background in marketing told me that using a friend with an iPhone just wouldn’t cut it.
Enter Rachel to save the day! She worked with us to plan a double shoot: an engagement session for me that was the “cover story” for getting everyone together for the family session, plus the surprise portrait (all planned with only 2 short weeks' notice).
Rachel knew all the quintessential St Louis spots to suggest, and was also flexible and trusting enough to go along us when we told her there was this “great little pond that may or may not be under construction that held special meaning to us.”
My fiancé, who hates having his photo taken but had also worked with professional photographers for years as a Creative Director, was impressed with Rachel and even started enjoying being on the other side of the camera for a change!

Meredith Sent on 03/01/2018I'm so glad we went with Rachel for our wedding photos. Aside from the pictures being amazing, Rachel and Kyle were a blast to work with on our wedding day! They showed up exactly when planned in the morning, had the entire day of shots planned out and timed perfectly, were super cool and easy to get along with and everything just flowed seamlessly (even the pictures with our dogs)! We absolutely love our pictures and can't wait for our album as well. Our wedding party even commented on how great they were! Would highly recommend!

I think the one thing that makes her stand out from the rest is that she has a sense of humor and she makes you feel very relaxed and comfortable. She made the chaos of wedding planning way less stressful because I knew everything in the photography department was being taken care of and she had it under control. From the very beginning, Rachel was very professional and personable. She met with us and was able to guide us through the steps and details of her photography style. She also kept in touch with us in the months before the wedding in order to help create a wedding day timeline of events.
For both the engagement session and the wedding, Rachel made us feel comfortable and relaxed so that she could capture some really amazing photos! She was very flexible and gave some really great suggestions for locations and poses. Rachel managed to capture all of the emotions throughout the day, like the “getting ready” shots, the first-look with my dad, Liam’s reaction as I was walking down the aisle, and the excitement of our guests dancing at the reception.

They say it takes a village to raise a child, well also takes a village to plan and execute a wedding and I can honestly say that we were so blessed to have North Arrow Creative in our tribe!! From our first virtual meeting to our wedding reception, Rachel and Kyle were with us every step of the way. They listened to our vision, they provided honest feedback on our ideas and offered assistance in every situation that we felt lost. They captured all the sweet unspoken moments between best friends. They documented every change of venue, the first dance, the final round of drinks and all the in between. We felt that they really understood my husband and I and they worked with us to capture our day the way we expected and so far above and beyond what we could’ve imagined. We’re truly grateful for the work and effort they put into capturing our special day and our engagement. We will cherish our photos for the rest of our lives and will definitely someday be hiring them again come a bun in the oven down the road! -
