Yay nomi beauty

I was being very picky about who I wanted to choose for my wedding. After contacting several places I went with NOMI Beauty. They were quick to respond and flexible. I also asked for pictures of the work and they were provided. I felt confident with the people who were working on me, turns out here was never anything to worry about.

I had NOMI Beauty do my hair and makeup. Two words: completely obsessed. I will for sure be going back to NOMI Beauty for any special event. My stylist was extremely friendly and talented, and my make-up artist was dedicated to give me the look I was going for.

I am so picky with my hair and makeup but once I met Dani for makeup and Maya for hair, I knew I had found very talented artists! During my trials, they were both very patient in understanding the look I was going for and took notes to remember details for my wedding day. The pictures say it all! My friends and family LOVED my look and especially liked the intricate hair style! I highly recommend using this company! Even Lily, the coordinator, was super friendly and very professional!

NOMI beauty was the best value I found for hair and makeup in NY and they did a wonderful job. The whole wedding party looked amazing and they were very professional. NOMI was also able to send enough people to get my wedding party done in a tight time frame which was wonderful. I would absolutely recommend them.

I was so pleased with my hair stylist and makeup artist for my wedding from Gloss and Glam! They both did an extraordinary job on me and my wedding party. The trials I had for both went very well, and they were super receptive to my wants for hair/makeup. They arrived right on time day of and set up quickly so we could get started right away. Everything was timed perfectly and both hair/makeup lasted all night. Thank you so much!!!

The girls and guy of Gloss and Glam that did my bridal party hair and makeup were aboslutely amazing. Tara who did my makeup and Anna who did my hair both did my hair and makeup trial as well so I knew what to expect going in and was already so comfortable with both of them. Brian who did both hair and makeup was also with us on the big day and he was amazing. Between the three of them, they got a bride, 7 bridesmaids and a mother of the bride all ready well in advance of the wedding while having so much fun. They are amazing and so professional. Like all on location hair and makeup services they are not cheap, but they are worth it. All my bridesmiads looked like perfection and my mom kept saying she couldnt believe how good she looked (especially her brows). As for me, my hair and makeup were everything I dreamed of. It was hot and humid the day of the wedding and it rained, and still my hair stood the test of time, not one stray hair was loose over 11 hours later and my makeup was still looking amazing, false lashes and all. As for the owner, Nikki, she is so awesome and great to work with. She schedules a phone call with all her potentially brides prior to taking them on as clients to get an idea of their personality, so beware bridezillas, this is not the company for you. They are professional and on top of their game, you do not need to overmanage them or stress out about them being there on time. They do their jobs and as a result, they only want to work with cool people! So just be a relaxed bride and let the professinals at Gloss and Glam handle your beauty needs!

I live in New York but my wedding was taking place in Jersey. Gloss and Glam were great! They came to my house for the trial and traveled to Jersey for my Wedding! My hair looked like a million bucks and my makeup was flawless.

I love Gloss and Glam! My hair is so unmanageable and my skin isn’t the best out there. When I was looking for a place I wanted the perfect one. I needed a great hair stylist and makeup artist! I had a dozen of trials with different companies and I just couldn't find one that lived up to what I imagine myself looking like on my wedding day. Then I found Gloss and Glam! Once I called I knew this was the place for me. Nikki was creative and entertaining. Her team made me look fabulous and on my wedding day she manage to calm my craziness down. I thank Nikki, Alex, and Bryan for making my day perfect!

I'm so not a photogenic person! But with Annie on my side all my pictures looked beautiful! My face tends to look shiny in pictures but not on my wedding day! Gloss and Glam made sure I look simply beautiful on my special day. And I'm proud to show my wedding pictures! Thank you Annie! Also a big thanks to Elyse for spending an hour on the phone with me when I first called! I had a million questions. FYI, I did my trial at home in NYC, and then they came to my venue in NJ! It was a huge help!

So I'm a perfectionist. I need everything to be perfect and exactly how it looked in my dreams. I went to four places looking for a hair and makeup artist. Either they weren't perfect for me or I for them. I honestly stressed people out because every detail needs to be exact. Hey, I only plan on getting married once! My mom booked me a trial appointment with Gloss and Glam behind my back and I was never more grateful. I mean they were absolutely perfect! I told them what I wanted and they gave it to me exactly! It was a perfectionist dream to meet people so efficient. I booked them right on the spot for my wedding day! I couldn't risk the chance someone else booking them before me. Needless to say my wedding was absolutely perfect! I would HIGHLY recommend them! I used two senior artists; Nikki ad Alex. They were more expensive but worth it!

Not to sound cheesy but Gloss and Glam is the place where magic happens! At least for me! If you could’ve seen how I looked on my wedding day you would know what I mean. As I walk down the aisle my now husband was stun in silence. As I looked at my husband looking back at me in my gorgeous dress, beautifully done hair and makeup I swear I think he fell in love with me all over again. They made my day extra special.

I fell in love with my hair and makeup at my cousins wedding. We used Ali and Sean! When is came time for my wedding, I was heart broken to learn that someone had booked them both before me. But Gloss and Glam sent me over Bryan and Jen. Who I feel in love with just as hard! I loved loved loved my hair and makeup! You guys are the best!

I got married at Temple Isreal in Orange, but I live on the UES. So Gloss and the Glam was the perfect fix for me. We did my trial in the city, and then Ali came to my parents house in NJ for the wedding. My hair and makeup looked perfect all night! Thank you Ali!

Gloss and Glam are the best! I have puffy hair and it's really hard to tame but they were great with taming it! My hair and makeup came out exactly how I imagine it maybe even better. I would recommend Moet any day!

I was really stress out looking for a place to do my hair and makeup. I had a couple of trial and they were horrible! One place wouldn’t do what I asked. The hair stylist was trying to do a different hairstyle and I told him that wasn’t what I wanted he insisted that his was better. Maybe he could’ve approached me better but it made me feel like my opinion didn’t matter and it was my wedding! Another place showed up to the trial late. One company sent someone who did my makeup horribly. I finally found Gloss and Glam and they were like the light at the end of a tunnel. Lydia was great! She helped me pick something that would look great with my bone structure and told me what would look best on me. My hair and makeup trial was prefect and for my wedding even better! On my wedding day they were on time and ready to pretty me up. They chatted with me to calm my nerves. It felt natural to get my hair and makeup then by them. I felt like I was in the company of friends. My bridesmaids were happy with their results. They look great. My hair stayed intact the whole day and my makeup didn’t smudge. I was very happy.

I'm Hispanic and I have very heavy straight hair. Usually my hair can't hold a curl for more then three hours or so. I even have to put two hair ties to keep my hair in a high ponytail. So of course I was very nervous about my wedding day. I mean, what was I going to do? Luckily my cousin, who happens to be my maid of honor, told me about Gloss and Glam! She told me her friends used Gloss and Glam for her wedding day and her makeup and hair were fabulous and flawless. So I booked a trial and I was so happy with the results! Seriously I looked so sexy! lol On my wedding day they were on time and ready to make me the center of attention! Needless to say my curls stayed the whole day! And my bridesmaids were happy with their hair and makeup too.

For some reason when I put makeup on myself it smudges or runs. I swear I put eyeliner on a regular basis and I look great but after about an hour my eyeliner starts to run and I start to look like a raccoon. No matter what I tried this always happens. So I was really worried that on my wedding day I would have to run to the bathroom about a million times to fix my eyes. When I booked my trials I explain this to many makeup artists and they told me it just the liner I’m using. But after they put their makeup on me it still ran after about an hour or so. When I booked Gloss and Glam I told Lindsey my problem and she told me not to worry that my makeup was going to stay and I wouldn’t have to run and fix my eyes once. I’m glad to say she was right. Not only did my makeup stay but so did my hair! I’m really glad I chose Gloss and Glam. I looked at all my picture and no raccoon eyes for me! I dance and sweated the whole night and in the pictures it’s as if I didn’t sweat a drop. Lindsey and Moet really know how to make you look pretty for hours.

I used G & G for both hair and makeup and was extremely happy. Their professionals are experts and really worked with me to achieve the looks I was going for. I also found them to be friendly, caring individuals who really wanted to make me happy and make me look my best on my big day. And when I wasn't completely happy with my makeup trial, the owner, Nikki, sat with me one on one and personally did another trial - taking me step by step through her process and consulting every step of the way to make sure I was happy with my look. I should add that I've rarely had my makeup done and was pretty apprehensive about it so I really appreciated all the individual attention - it definitely put me at ease. On the day of the wedding both my hair and makeup came out better than the trials! They told me that between the time of the trials and the wedding day they had put thought into better ways to achieve the results I wanted - which I thought was really great. Overall, I was very impressed with their services and would 100% recommend them!

I will admit that when it comes my hair and make-up I'm incredibly high maintenance, so add a wedding to look amazing for and I was a ball of nerves. I had had several expensive hair and make-up trails and left feeling kind of uninspired. I can do my own hair and make-up, so when I go to a professional I expect to feel glamorous and basically like Kim Kardashian. Gloss and Glam did an amazing job on my wedding day. Alex and Tara arrived on time, were friendly, understood how I wanted to look, understood how to make me sweat and humidity proof (we got married in August), and were on hand when it was time to take the formal posed portraits. I enthusiastically recommend Gloss and Glam and can't wait for another event when I can call on them again.

My friend had used Gloss and Glam at their wedding. My hair and makeup team cancelled on me the night before. At 2am, no joke, I called and email them. Someone emailed me back at 2am. And they saved my wedding! Thank you Nikki and Rachel! For doing my hair and makeup and saving my wedding!

I knew I wanted to hire a really good hair and makeup person, since I knew 300 people would be stareing at me. So I went with Gloss and Glam and I am so happy! the staff is soooo nice and they are wonderful at their jobs! Also, may I add they are fab! I had the two cutest boys and nicest woman ever doing my wedding!

Gloss and Glam comes to your home the day of the wedding and for the trial if you want. Thats why I picked them. So they came to my house in the city for the trial and then they came to NJ for my wedding! My hair and makeup team were pros! Perfect pick for me (or any1)

I used Gloss and Glam for my wedding and I could not have been happier. Not only did they come to the venue to do my hair and make-up (and the hair and make-up for my bridesmaids), but they even made it to Long Island at 6 am so that we could be ready in time. Nikki and Alex are fantastic. Nikki did my make-up. I told her my main concern was that I have an oily complexion so I look shiny in the majority of my pictures. I have only seen a few pictures from the wedding so far (all pictures my friends took during the reception) and I don't look shiny in any of them!!! Alex did my hair and it was perfect. I told him I wanted half-up, loose curls and not only did everything stay put for the pictures but my hair looked great throughout the entire reception (dancing and all). I highly recommend Gloss and Glam. If I ever have another reason to get my hair and make-up professionally done I will most definitely go back to them.

I was very nervous about finding the right hair and makeup for my wedding. I had a trial with a different company and hated it. Then a friend recommended Gloss and Glam. They were incredible! Everything was perfect. They worked hard with me to pick just the right look. On my wedding day they were right there when I needed them. They did my bridesmaids as well and everyone looked stunning. They are a must hire.

Gloss and Glam were great on my wedding day. I looked as beautiful as I had imagined in person and in the pictures. The artists were extremely friendly and easy to work with. They were on time and professional too! I would recommend them to anyone who wants to look their best on their big day.

I picked Gloss and Glam because my neighbor had used them and I was so please with their work. My hair lookied out of this world. I did half up half down with perfect waves. My makeup was totally natural and amazing! They did EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED !!! (unlike my local hairdresser..lol) Im sure if you if pick them you will be very pleased as well!

Gloss and glam could not have made my wedding day more perfect and complete! I used gloss and glam because a friend of mine had referred me to this company saying that a friend of her used them for her wedding and did an excellent job. I then asked to see pictures of the bride on her wedding day. When I was shown the pictures I could not get over how amazing the bride looked. Her hair was perfect and her make up was impeccable.
Now, being a very picky woman even though this bride looked perfect I needed to try it out for myself. I booked an appointment with the company for a trial. I have a very busy schedule so it was hard to find time book the appointment on my end. Thankfully Gloss and Glam is very flexible and worked within my schedule to the best of their ability. During my trial I could have not been more pleased! The team was so nice, knowledgeable about the latest makeup and hair styles and was able to know what I was looking for after only explaining it to them for less than 3 minutes. It was like they read my bridal mind! When the trial was over I never looked so beautiful in my entire life! Right then and there I knew this was the beauty team I needed for my wedding day!
Three months later by big day arrived! I do not know how I would have looked if it wasn't for Gloss and Glam and their wonderful team! When my husband saw me walk down the isle tears came to his eyes. Under the Chupah he whispered to me that he always knew I was beautiful but words could not describe how radiant I looked that evening! My brides maids were also done up by this team! They all looked absolutely breathtaking!! Gloss and Glam made my wedding day beauty wishes come true!! Thank you for making my day extra special!

hi!So I am Asian and my husband is black. So I had no idea where to find a hair and makeup artist that coud do Asian and Black Women! Well look no further! I was beyond pleased with the service, both customer and product.
The owner was so accommodating, organized, and a pleasure to work with. The make up artist was the same and did an absolutely terrific job; she focused in on the client and did not come in with a set idea of what to do and the result was magnificent. As someone who has had dealt with make up and hair professionals before, if you want great service than you must work with Gloss and Glam. It also helps that for what they are offering, their prices could be much more (hopefully they won't read this and raise it!)

Nikki Robinson did the make up for my wedding party. She was professional, efficient, creative, responsive to the girls' requests, and best of all...entertaining! As the bride, she made me feel relaxed, confident, and beautiful. My new husband loved the results, too! The ladies from Gloss and Glam did a fabulous job during my wedding day. Each of my bridesmaid as well as myself, the bride were so impressed with our hair and makeup. Moreover, the big day can typically be stressful, but the stylists from Gloss and Glam were able to keep everyone calm, happy, and beautiful. Nikki from Gloss and Glam was AMAZING!! My makeup was magnificent! Her work matched my personality completely and my photos came out fabulous!

We had two minor challenges during the day and Nikki handled them professionally and beyond my expectations! I had a dry patch on my cheek and Nikki worked with the photographer to make sure it didn't show up in the photos!

Secondly, my mother-in-law had her makeup done at a local spa. She was so distressed when she arrived at the wedding because she felt that it was too overdone! Nikki made time to redo it and my mother-in-law was so happy with the new results!

All in all, Nikki and Gloss and Glam were EXCELLENT! I would highly recommend her and Gloss and Glam to anyone!

I was the pickest bride you ever met! I had done three trials untill I found Gloss and Glam! But Nikki and Alex made me feel amazing. By hair and makeup looked perfect! I called Nikki the day before my engagement party for a makeup lesson and to help me create a great look for my big evening. Of course her schedule was jam-packed, but she was so flexible and gracious to squeeze me in at the last minute.
I knew Nikki was so talented because I used to hire her as a make-up artist for the high-end video and photo shoots I produced. She was always fun to work with - she even puts the most serious, high-powered CEOs at ease!

Nikki took her time working with me showing me tips, tricks and techniques. She knew just how to bring out my best features and even hide the flaws with clever shading. I got so many compliments at my party, and I looked and felt my best.
I would love another lesson with Nikki, just for fun!, and will definitely be booking her for my wedding.

We had our event at the Quin Hotel, where they are the in-hotel salon, though they do all their work in-room (which was totally easier than going to a salon when trying to get ready!) They did my hair and makeup and also (I found out later) the hair of several of my guests as well. Everyone looked fantastic and have a really easy experience! I would DEFINITELY use them again for anytime I'm in NYC. 5 stars!!!!

PS - I was confused by all the "Gloss and Glam" references in the reviews, but when I contacted them, I found out they just changed their name.

My advice, to all the brides out there looking for a great place to do your makeup and hair, is book Gloss and Glam! When I was looking for a hair and makeup artist I was really nervous. I mean it was for my wedding day! The most special day in a girl’s life! You want everything to be perfect. So trust me when I say that perfect place is Gloss and Glam. Out of all the companies I've been to, they honestly wanted me to look my absolute best for my wedding day. I'm so happy I chose them. Book Alex and Allison!

I had done several hair and makeup trials with a handful of different companies before choosing Gloss and Glam; I just felt that I needed to do my due diligence and no one was really hitting the nail on the head. Gloss and Glam assigned me James (hair) and Erik (makeup) who both knocked it out of the park! After supplying reference photos, and listening carefully to what I had in mind, did want, and didn't want- they got it 100% right and did an incredible job. One thing I noticed about other makeup trials was that the foundation looked SO heavy and anything but natural; Erik make me look luminous, while still prepping me for a day of dancing, occasional tears and photos. James made all of the flower girls and bridesmades' hair look wonderful and did a great job on both my Mom and my now mother-in-law; he listened carefully kept my hair shiny and bouncy, while still making it stay put for an entire day in my updo with fresh flowers. Bonus: they were a total pleasure to be around. I actually can't wait to find an occasion to hire them again- and I have every intention of doing so!

Working with Nikki on getting a quote for me and my 2 friends for my wedding was done efficiently over email 6 montgs before the wedding. The closer we got to the wedding date though, the longer it took Nikki to respond to setting a date for our trial. It all worked out in thw end, with some tolerance for a little disorganization, and Lydia gave me a look that was both natural and recognizable in the photos. Lydia was so receptive about toning down on makeup and hair and she was a great comforting presence on the morning of the wedding. Highly recommended!

If you don't need one of those massive packages (that are only worth it if you have at least 5 bridesmaids etc.!), definitely go with Nomi Beauty. They come to you, they are responsive, and professional. The trial is also super reasonably priced (by NYC standards). They listened and did a lovely job on both hair and makeup, I got many compliments day-of. I looked like myself but a more glamorous version :) My sister also had hair and makeup and was happy. All payments are done online and 20% tip is added on so no cash to remember day of.

My experience with gloss and glam is divided up into two categories. The first was the process of getting in touch with someone and booking my wedding hair and then the next is the actual hair on the day of my wedding.

Booking with Gloss and Glam was a little bit tedious. There was a lot of back and forth emailing to firm everything up and then the person I was communicating with was on vacation for a bit and so then I didn't hear anything for a while. The emails all come from and info@ address - which is really confusing because it seems like spam. When the owner, Nikki, finally got back in touch with me, the rates and minimums that were initially quoted were not correct. After some back and forth, we were able to get everything straightened out and I was able to book Anna for my wedding hair.

I had a wonderful experience with Anna. I scheduled the trial for about 2 months before the wedding. She was amazing at looking at the pictures I had for inspiration and executing them. I wanted loose and soft hair but up as the back of my dress was open. I wanted a soft braid detail worked in as well. We did a few takes and then took pictures and a video of the finished product. On my wedding day, everything went off without a hitch. Anna also did my mom, mother-in-law, and step-mom's hair and they all look perfect.

In my wedding pictures, (taken by Bia Sampaio if you're looking for a photographer!) my hair looks beautiful and soft. The best part is that my hair is just a nice accent to how I look and is not the focus of the pictures.

I would recommend Gloss adn Glam, but be prepared to be patient while you go through the booking process.

Firstly, I will say that James did amazing makeup for my trial and wedding. I know a lot about makeup and had 2 trials I was unhappy with before I stumbled onto this company. They assured me I will love James and he is the top level (read most expensive level) of their offered services.

Now things I didn't love -
Then leading up to the wedding, I kept sending communications to the sales lead and somehow the changes I needed to make were not being reflected in updated schedule for all bridesmaids and mothers getting make up done. I was told there was confusion etc but I did go over all final details on phone. Well the day that the make up artists arrived (by the way, they were on time - all good!) they did not have the updated schedule we discussed and also did not have extras selections such as eyelashes which I also discussed. They each carried extra lashes with them so crisis averted but I was not happy I had to have one of my bridesmaids read out the final schedule I DISCUSSED AND EMAILED TO OFFICE to keep our day on track.

It gets worse - As I am on my honeymoon, I keep getting calls and emails from the office saying to pay for the extra 2 people we added day of (mind you - one I didn't approve but no one asked me if it was ok to add her to schedule - no big deal, just another $250). I told the woman I dealt with previously here is my credit card info - just charge my card. She begins to tell me how I need to send in a signed authrorization form...once again on my honeymoon as I am on a somewhat remote island at this point.

I ended up booking gloss and glam after a horrible trial. I had Anna and Rachel. I was blown away and loooooooved what they did. I booked them on the spot and also decided to gift my bridesmaids with hair/makeup. 3 weeks to my wedding I emailed Rachel to say one of my bridesmaids has cancer and to be sensitive to the fact that she wears a wig, etc... No response. So I emailed their main email. The new manager emailed me back that Rachel (my makeup artist) was no longer with the company. Uh, what??? When were they going to tell me this??? Then I'm told Nikki the owner was in the hospital so she couldn't get back to me. In the meantime I'd recommended them to a friend (based on my trial with Rachel/Anna) and the makeup person no-showed for my friends trial! I was mortified!!!
Finally Nikki calls me back and says she'll send someone to do a new trial. Ok, fine... I've already paid in full so sure..Nikki says they'll show the new makeup artist pictures and will recreate what Rachel did..the person shows up 20 mins late and I hated what she did. She had no clue about the situation or what i wanted, nor had she seen pictures. thank god id taken some of my own. Nikki sends yet another person... It was better but not the same. I asked Nikki if I could contact Rachel directly and she told me a crazy story about why they let Rachel go. Mind you my wedding is in 2 weeks! So fine, I'm a little freaked out but I agree to use the last girl who did my makeup.
As for my hair/makeup... The makeup ended up being beautiful, but the hair wasn't what we'd done in the trial. I wanted very loose waves with one side back but not severe to my head. I had such tight curls I was brushing them out and trying to loosen them all night. And the side that was back looked slicked down. I was bummed as it just wasn't what I was going for. Overall I feel like I spent a ton of money and I had jut the strangest experience ever with this company. It just added so much stress to my planning and day.

I found Nomi beauty through the positive reviews on different websites and set up a make-up and hair trial about a month in advance, because I was coming in from out of town. I was not told anything about how the trial could have been in my hotel and instead met in an office on Wall Street. The week before the trial I emailed to confirm the appointment and they changed the time of the trial, which was still okay with my train schedule, so I kept it. I arrived at the trial and was not really given directions where to go (they gave me an address but no suite number or who to call when I get there). I had to look up the phone number on the website and a man picked up who met me downstairs and brought me into the appointment. He said that he did the tech for the company and then told me that the hair stylist would be unable to make it because of child care issues. He said that I would get a full refund (I was required to pay in advance of my appointment). I said okay and had the make-up trial. Later that evening the CEO called me directly to apologize, which I found to be a good gesture. She commented on the poor communication and how the person who had made my appointment was being fired. She also told me that I should not have made a trial appointment on the weekend because her "best girls" were always busy on the weekend and weekdays would have gotten me a better make-up artist. That information was startling (they gave me a bad make-up artist?), but she also said she would give me a full refund and I thanked her for the personal call. She called again wanting to extend even more apologies and offering to give me free make-up for my rehearsal dinner. I was concerned about the refund as I never heard more about it. I emailed and called and she said that she did not know how to work the system. Finally I got an email that I was refunded-but I never got the refund.
UPDATE: I did receive the refund at the beginning of May 2018 (my appointment was in April 2018).

Absolutely shameful

I booked my wedding hair and make up with this company from London. All nice and polite at first said all what you want hear.. then very pushy. Paid $600 for a trial and the wedding hair. COVID hit.. cancelled 6 weeks before as had 24 hour cancellation we couldn’t fly to NY.
Well how wrong was I? Asked for a refund I had a contract that said 24 hour cancellation policy and states that clearly on their website if you read the terms. They denied the whole thing even though I had it in writing in my contract. I never got a penny of my $600 back they have completely robbed me blind. Ignored my emails and phone calls. After having to cancel my wedding this was the icing on the cake. The worst company I have ever dealt with. Please read google reviews on this company. I have also spoke to others who have had the same problem with this company. I can send anyone emails regarding this to see how ignorant and outrageous this company is. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. I am trying to take legal action against them.
