The Best Decision We Made for Our Wedding - Mary
If I could give Mary 100 stars, I would. We just got married, and our wedding was absolutely perfect - and we truly could not have done it without her.
From the very beginning, I completely trusted Mary, and that trust only grew throughout the entire planning process. She made wedding planning feel as close to stress-free as it possibly can be. Every detail was handled with so much care, professionalism, and thoughtfulness.
The vendors she recommended were all incredible - from the flowers, to the catering, to the music, every single part of our wedding exceeded our expectations. Everything came together so beautifully, and we were able to actually enjoy the process because we knew we were in the best hands.
Beyond being an amazing wedding planner, Mary is just an incredible human. My now husband and I absolutely adore her, and we feel so lucky that she was such a huge part of one of the most important days of our lives.
We are endlessly grateful for her and cannot recommend her enough. -

I'm not even sure how to begin this except by saying that hiring Mary at Nila Destinations was one of the best decisions I have ever made. My now wife and I had a lot of questions and were not really sure where to begin in planning our dream wedding. In working with a resort directly, it was laborious and the answers and responses were slow going. I found Nila online and we had a call with Mary in very short order. We knew within the first 2 minutes of the call that she was the person we wanted to be our eyes and ears in Turks and Caicos. Mary had all the answers, relationships with Vendors, and helped bring our vision to life. We met with Mary in person when we arrived on the island, talked through everything, and truly enjoyed our time in paradise without a care in the world. Working with Mary, she helped us decide to have a sunset cruise instead of a rehearsal dinner, she was there to make sure everyone got on the boat. I will never forget the look of joy on peoples faces, definitely a brilliant decision. Day of the wedding, she was there early in the morning making sure all the vendors were in place and that everything was as it should be. At the end of the night, she was there helping them shut down. She even took time out of her schedule to come by and tell us goodbye before we left the island. Its not just a working relationship, this is who she truly is. Some guests of ours were at the supermarket in town looking for a good bottle of wine and a very nice lady helped make a suggestion for them. It wasn't until the wedding that they realized it was Mary. I could go on forever about what a remarkable person she is and how Nila Destinations took care of us. At the end of the day, this felt more like a vacation than a wedding. For that, I will forever be grateful to Mary and Nila Destinations. -

We worked with Katy from Nila Destinations for our destination wedding in Turks and Caicos Islands and I’m honestly so grateful we found her.
I live in Florida, so planning from afar could have been stressful, but she made it feel easy. We had calls throughout the year to go over details and quotes, and every recommendation she gave us, transportation, décor, florals, DJ, saxophonist, turned out perfect. She is well connected in the island and every vendor meeting I had gave me more confident, trust, and excitement for the big day.
We had a full three day celebration, rehearsal dinner, wedding, and post-wedding barbecue, and Katy was there hours before each event making sure every logistic was handled and stayed until the very end. She also did so many thoughtful things she didn’t have to do, like driving two of my friends home after the wedding just to make sure they got back safely. She handled vendor communication so I could actually enjoy time with my husband, family, and friends.
I truly can’t imagine doing this without her and would recommend Katy and Nila Destinations to anyone getting married in Turks and Caicos. I already told her when we come back one day with our kids, we’re taking her out to dinner!

Mary from Nila Destinations Was the Best Decision We Made for Our Wedding!
Mary Thompson was the best decision my husband and I could have made for our wedding. From the very first meeting, Mary was intentional, thoughtful, thorough, and put all of our worries at ease. She listened to our needs, wants, and concerns when planning a destination wedding. She was attentive and communicative throughout the whole planning process and gave us plenty of options, offering her opinion when needed. Her knowledge of Provo and the TCI community is top notch. When it comes to recommendations and decision making across the board, Mary tells it like it is--leaving the ultimate decision up to the couple, but providing clear, unbiased information needed to feel confident in the direction you decide to go. We valued this greatly from Mary. On the day of our wedding - we had crazy weather and a power outage and Mary (and Katy!) never missed a beat. They were on top of everything to the point where I couldn't worry because I knew that no matter what, we were in such incredible hands. We are so grateful for Mary + the team for everything and could not recommend them more. -

Out of this world

Don’t hesitate for a second and just book your special event with Mary. She cares so much about her couples and you feel her loving energy in everything she does. Perfect Wedding Planner - Mary at NILA Destinations
Mary from NILA Destinations was a true professional to her craft. No small detail got past her, she knew just what to ask and what to address to make my daughter’s destination wedding (and week!) perfect for us. She handled every detail. Mary has great relationships with all our chosen vendors, making things easy on us, she saw to every detail, right up to the end of the reception. She oversaw it all! Even our excursions were handled and taken care of by her. Made life easier. After working with Mary for over a year, she felt like extended family to us. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, especially from afar—but Mary made the entire process not only seamless but truly magical. From the very beginning, she went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. She expertly coordinated vendors, kept communication smooth between multiple parties, and handled all of my (many!) requests with grace and professionalism.
Her deep knowledge of Turks and Caicos was invaluable—she knows the island like the back of her hand and used that insight to bring our vision to life in the most beautiful way possible. Gage and I were in awe of how she transformed our ideas into reality and created a day that was beyond our wildest dreams.

As soon as we connected with Mary to help us plan our February 2025 destination wedding, we knew it was the perfect fit! Hands down, Mary is the best, NILA made our whole weekend perfect
We decided to get married in TCI without ever having visited the island. Provo is stunning and we are so glad we found Mary to plan our wedding. She made the experience easy even though we didn't see our venue, try the food, or meet our vendors until 2 days before. Her recommendations were spot on and made our wedding everything we wanted it to be. In our introductory phone call she listened to everything we wanted and everything we didn't know we wanted to help us plan the perfect weekend. Planning was easy and we talked on the phone with her and vendors in a timely manner, getting everything locked in over emails. She was also able to help us stick to our budget. We really wanted to have fun with our guests and enjoy the weekend, spending time with everyone who traveled to be there with us. We had 55 guests and with her help she planned the perfect welcome event, a sunset boat cruise to help everyone get aquatinted. Caicos Charters were wonderful and we really had a party with them on that cruise. On the wedding day she kept us to our timeline and we were able to enjoy our ceremony at sunset and get all of our family photos done efficiently with Jon from Eye Spice photography. He captured perfect photos for us. We then got to go to cocktail hour at Solana with our guests and enjoyed drinks and apps which were absolutely delicious. Her suggestions for everything were stellar and she was even able to secure us an afterparty beach bonfire! You cant go wrong with Mary, she is the best! -

Mary was the most amazing planner. She was always quick to respond, very attentive, extremely informative. This was our 1st time to TCI and she helped us with everything from where to have our ceremony, where we should go to dinner, getting our flowers, a hair stylist, makeup artist, excursions…you name it and she was there. We had the wedding of our dreams in Turks & Caicos and it was mainly because of Mary Thompson at NILA Destinations. Mary listened to our vision, as crazy as they got, and guided us the whole way. Not only did she move heaven and earth to give us what we wanted but also used a gentle hand to move us away from things that she knew probably weren't needed or worse, would have gone wrong. She was with us every step of the way, taking care of everythng including setting a fire under people that were dragging their feet in getting back to us, even when it had nothing to do with wedding! If you're looking to get married in T&C, you're making a mistake if you don't talk to Mary first.

When I first sat down with Mary in February of 2023 to decide a location / place for our wedding in Turks and Caicos she stated that throughout the process she would act as an extension of our family. That ended up being a complete understatement since we now consider Mary part of the family! Not only did Mary make our wedding dreams come true she was amazing every step of the way. Her knowledge and connections on the island helped make every detail come to life. She also helped put my stress (especially planning from a far) at ease throughout the entire process. We planned 4 days of events for our guests and Mary was by our side making sure everything went smoothly and that neither me nor my husband were in need of anything. She was very hands on!!!! Every bride and groom would be lucky to have Mary become part of their family and their special day. -

Mary and Katie were amazing to work with! Mary took the time to meet with us on multiple occasions, linked us up with the best vendors and walked us all through every step of the wedding process. Having a destination wedding is an event in itself, but Mary helped to make it a great event. Wedding Day?? Mary and Katie took care of every detail from setting up the beach, to delivering flowers, to taking our guest book to the reception venue. Did I mention, she even picked me up from my hair appointment at G Style Bar (Geraldine was also amazing)? The guests were seated on time in order to capitalize on the sunset and whisked off to the reception afterwards. My wife and I recently had our wedding in the Turks. I was skeptical that we needed a wedding planner, but boy was I wrong. Mary was so warm and sweet and that kind of energy made us feel comfortable and right at home. She got us all the best deals on all the best food, flowers, DJ, entertainment etc. The boat cruise was truly one of a kind, and DJ Uncle El is one of the best I've ever heard. We had the perfect wedding on beautiful Grace Bay Beach. Mary helped us every step of the way. Helping us find the photographer, hairstylist, limo driver, flowers, sand ceremony, and even helping me with my dress, and taking the "before the wedding" bride picture. She sent wonderful advice, and encouraging messages when it began to rain the morning of our wedding. She was right, the sun shined when it was time, and everything went perfectly. Wonderful experience
I chose Nila Destinations as my wedding planner. Even though it was just my fiancé and I getting married, I knew I wanted/needed someone local to help with the planning, officiant, paperwork, etc.
I reached out and received a quick reply, which I appreciated since I had contacted another planner who ghosted me after I told her "it was just the two of us." Definitely helped make my decision even easier to choose Nila.
So glad we found Nila and that we were assigned to Mary. Mary treated our wedding planning as it was her most important job.
The best part was meeting Mary in person after emailing with her for a long time prior. She's a ray of sunshine - cheesy to say, but it's so true. She is so sweet, funny, and caring. On my wedding day, it truly felt like I had a family member helping me - she did so much from making sure I had food to helping me get into my wedding gown to choosing a perfect officiant (Pastor Padamore - amazing guy) that fit our personalities.
I'd highly recommend Mary and Nila since they were responsive, knows what they're doing, treats your wedding as more than just a business transaction, and Mary was just a fun and calming presence that I didn't know I needed, but am so glad I had.
I feel like Mary became a friend and when we visit Turks in the future, I will be sure to see Mary and say hi. -

Mary is the best !!
We had the pleasure of working with Mary from Nila for our wedding at The Palms in Turks and Caicos. It can be daunting trying to plan a wedding so far away but from start to finish, Mary was an absolute joy to work with. Not only did she guide us through the planning process, but she also went above and beyond to ensure that our special day (and entire weekend) was everything we wanted and more.
Even when faced with the challenge of bad weather, Mary was quick to come up with a backup plan and made sure that everything went off without a hitch. She was extremely organized and always on top of everything. She was always prompt in responding to our many texts and calls over the months. She has close relationships with all of the wonderful vendors on the island and made sure that every aspect of our wedding was taken care of.
I would highly recommend Mary to anyone planning a wedding in Turks. She truly exceeded our expectations and made our special day unforgettable.

Incredible Team. Incredible Service. Incredible Execution!!
We worked with Mary, and she quite literally saved our entire wedding and helped us pull of an event of a lifetime. We don't know anyone else who could have pulled off a 120person destination rehearsal dinner, welcome drinks, wedding, and after party, in just 3months!! INCREDIBLE.
Mary took the time and patience to understand who we are and what our vision was. She was available and quickly responsive whenever we needed her. She was organized and clear with what direction/guidance/delegation was needed. She handled all of our local vendors and made sure everyone was accountable. Her network with the vendor-base in Turks and Caicos is so expansive and clearly, she is so well respected- this opened up many doors for us with regards to what was available and executable.
On the days leading up to, and including, any wedding events Mary impressively took any potential stress off of us and handled everything with constant and clear communication. Upon our arrival on island, Mary even organized a sequential meeting with us and each of our vendors for finalizations....this was so productive, efficient, and then allowed us to enjoy the days for a vacation ourselves!
The wedding was executed perfectly in our eyes. We were on the beach, with a massive clear tent, beautiful greenery, lanterns, bonfire, torches, sax player, DJ, creative dance floor setup, DELICIOUS food, gorgeous cake, and a seamless flow from start to finish all as a result of Mary's efforts. We love you Mary!! THANK YOU!!! -

Andre and I first made contact with Nila Destinations pre-covid (2019) to organise our wedding for August 2021. Stephanie Camozzi was our wedding planner. We initially weren't too worried about the pandemic due to the planned date of our wedding, so wedding plans continued full-steam ahead! Then 2021 came and the covid situation despite being a vast improvement on 2020, brought the challenges of meeting new travel requirements, which unfortunately due to us being from the UK, we and our family were unable to meet. So unfortunately we had to postpone our wedding to August 2022. Stephanie was amazing at dealing with all the various suppliers to make sure they were aware of the postponement and would still be onboard for our wedding in 2022. In 2022, preparations began again, and everything was falling into place and we arrived in the Turks and Caicos 9 days before our wedding. Then a week before the wedding Andre and I, and one set of parents became ill with covid. We were struck with panic about whether we would be able to continue with the wedding, but Stephanie was amazing at reassuring us that with a few tweaks we could still have our planned wedding, and if really necessary the wedding could be postponed for a few days to allow everyone to recover. Fortunately everyone was mostly recovered by the date of our wedding, so the wedding happened exactly as planned. Steph was amazing at ensuring that everything went smoothly, despite us not being able to have any rehearsals due to being ill. Andre and I, and all our guests were able to truly enjoy our wedding. We and our families are extremely grateful that she made it all possible, despite life throwing some really unexpected challenges at us!

Fairy Tale Wedding.....

Nila Destination went above and beyond anything I could have imagined. I was blessed with Mary as my wedding planner and I feel like I won the lottery with her. Mary was extremely prompt with any questions I had and reassured me that whatever I was needing was possible and would turn out beautiful. Mary was absolutely correct. The day of the wedding everything we picked out came to life and was even more fabulous than I envisioned. The best part, Mary to us was more than our planner. Mary became a great friend and we talk and joked like we knew each other forever and our guests adored Mary just as much. I could go on forever how much I appreciated Mary but bottom line if you want someone to care just as much as you do about your special day go with Nila Destination and hopefully you will also be blessed with Mary.

Choose Lynne!
I was introduced to Nila Destinations through a villa we would be renting for our small wedding. I was recommended I work with Lynne. I am not much of a planner and struggle to gather some of my thoughts so I was beyond thrilled with my first discussion with Lynne. She instructed me to send her a "vibe", pictures on Pinterest or google and she would do the rest. She was very honest about pricing for vendors and made some great suggestions. The villa we had chosen was not one Lynne had previously worked with. To say they gave us trouble every step of the way is an understatement. I initially thought our wedding would never happen due to all the loopholes and hoops to jump through but Lynne took charge. She called everyone, got in contact with the owners, and explained everything. She took so much stress away to ensure I was going to enjoy my special day.
On the day of the wedding, Lynne made sure everyone was doing their jobs and everything was in place. She made sure I didn't see the BEAUTIFUL arch on the beach until the very moment I was walking to meet my guy!
The dining table looked spectacular and everyone was raving about how beautiful the night was. I can not thank Lynne enough for helping me and my husband have a stress-free wedding day. It feels strange to not have been in contact with her over the last few months as I truly feel she became a great friend.
If you chose Nila Destinations, I would recommend to any bride who knows her vibe but cant quite put the pieces together, to chose Lynne. She will make your day exactly what you want. -

Mary was absolutely amazing and so accommodating! We ended up having to plan our wedding from afar, which forced us to rely on Mary to be our eyes and ears. Every detail that we wanted for our wedding and reception came to life and turned out way better than we planned. When we arrived to the island, Mary lined all of our appointments with each contractor back to back in one day so we could enjoy our friends and family when they arrived to the island. On the day of the wedding, Mary made contact with us and then off she went to start bringing the ceremony together. I did not really have to worry about much because she was 10 steps ahead of me the entire time. Even when the groom started to have his moments, she remedied him and sent us down the aisle. I highly recommend Mary with Nila Destinations. We sent an overwhelming amount of emails, calls and texts in preparation for our wedding. Mary never got overwhelmed or showed us any kind of frustration. All I could do was hug her at the end of the day. Thank you Mary! -

Working with Mary and Nila Destinations for our intimate wedding at a private villa was the best decision I made in the planning process. She made everything so easy, I didn’t worry for a single second but instead just got to enjoy the evening. Not only did she coordinate everything the day of, but she took time to meet with us when we came down 6 months before, set up a cake and caterer tasting, got us into the villa to see it even when management said no, and even stored a box of stuff for us at her home until the wedding. Lu, your expertise is second to none! ...
In fact, words cannot do justice how invaluable she has been to Danny and I over the journey towards our wedding just 3 weeks ago. From the very first communication with Lu, before we had invested anything, she brought us out of a state of overwhelming panic and confusion. Super down to earth with an incredible knowledge of the local industry and suppliers- she helped us sort out the perfect place without the “resort wedding” feel that most people associate with having a destination wedding.
She was also constantly in touch with both of us to remind us of things we needed to do and always made herself available by email and text once we arrived on the island. Lu saved us so much time and unnecessary stress that came with organizing our wedding.
Once we arrived on the island she made herself immediately available to go over paperwork and last minute details so that we could enjoy the special moments leading up to our wedding.
Lu was there from the very beginning coordinating everyone and everything: our welcome dinner, transportation, our officiant Pastor Padmore, Food & Bar, DJ, florist, furniture... not to mention arranging the site and coordinating 40 guests! Not only is Lu on top of all of this, she is an extremely genuine, caring and lovely human. Her recommendations were top notch. Everyone is still talking about our wedding 3 weeks later, even the food! Note: I had never heard people rave about the food from a wedding but that’s how delicious it was.
Her presence made EVERY difference to me before, during, and after the wedding.
Sometimes my husband and I still think back to that day and can’t believe...that was OUR WEDDING!
If you are looking for someone to assist with planning your special day, I honestly cannot recommend Nila Destinations/Lu Bayley highly enough.

My husband Eric and I were lucky enough to work with Mary from NILA for our wedding on Long Bay Beach on 5/18/19. From the minute we met her in September, she was warm, kind and utterly competent. She knew exactly what we needed and she did a truly incredible job of taking our lead and creating the event we had envisioned. Even with a few curveballs (bad weather, guests in need of medical attention) she was always steady and calming and made it all work. She even did a great job of taking my husband (who wanted to marry me, but had no interest in planning a wedding) in to account and making sure his voice was heard. Our entire family felt we were in great hands for our daughter’s May 18, 2019 wedding, from our first meeting with Mary. Her expertise, island contacts and experience with the very best vendors on island made it a total pleasure. Five events, over 4 days, made for A LOT of details; Mary did not miss a beat. Furthermore, we were challenged all weekend with unsettled weather testing all of us at every turn for our five outdoor events. Mary was our beacon in a storm and totally calming influence. We stayed at The Sands at Grace Bay and had our wedding outside by Bay Bistro. I tried to plan the wedding so that our guests would have the best time possible (about 30 people). Everything was better than I had even anticipated. We had a rehearsal boat for everyone the evening before, and then had the ceremony and reception on the beach with tents and a bonfire. Mary knew all the best vendors to choose and everything went smoothly. The flowers, food and arch were amazing, and our guests danced all night long until the last song. I had seen a picture of a fireball man I wanted to perform, and she tracked him down so I could have him surprise everyone at the party. She stayed during the reception to assist us with anything we needed and kicked out wedding crashers trying to sneak in and take advantage of the open bar (I didn't even notice there were any until someone told me after). I'd definitely recommend Mary if you're planning on having a wedding in Turks & Caicos. -

Mary at Nila Destinations is the best! We were put in touch with her when we booked our wedding package at Wymara resort. We communicated through e-mail mostly at first since it was a destination wedding for us & we weren't local. During that time she was very competent, professional, responsive, and sweet. When we arrived in T&C & met her though, she was even better in person! She took care of arranging everything between our pastor, photographer, videographer, the resort staff, & hair & makeup to ensure the only thing I was doing on the day of was getting excited to get married. We met with Mary Thompson to possible work with her for wedding planning. She was extremely helpful through email and we even met her in person when we were looking for venues. She was very responsive and we would have totally went with her if the venue where we had the wedding at did not have a wedding coordinator that managed that venue. Laura Sent on 10/06/2018My wife & I had been to the Turks & Caicos numerous times on vacation, but knew that when it came to planning our wedding in paradise, that we would need the assistance of someone who knew Providenciales intimately. Someone who was on a first name basis with the staff at each hotel, someone who could tell you impressive anecdotes from working with the Caribbean's premier florist, and someone who could take you into the home kitchen of the loveliest & most talented baker on the island.
As luck would have it, that person was Luise Bailey, from NILA Destinations.
From the first time we met Luise for a spot of lunch on the beach at Ocean Club West, she clearly demonstrated her extensive experience of running events on the island, her appreciation for its culture and people, as well as an extensive knowledge of its many unique experiences and out-of-this-world locales.
Our wedding celebration took place over the course of four days, and couldn’t have been more seamless. The year of planning however, was a bit more difficult to endure as the response rate from many of our adored vendors was quite longer than we were used to. (Of course, we are high velocity New Yorkers, and it’s quite possible that our barometer for responsiveness is a tad skewed.)
