Hiring Nikki over the other photographers we thought about is hands down the best decision we made. From our initial phone call, to now two weeks after our wedding, I sing her praises! Her portfolio speaks for itself, but I was still so pleasantly surprised at how chic, natural, bright, and happy our photos are. I only say this as someone who naturally is most critical of myself, but looking at our engagement and wedding photos brings nothing but joy. There is literally not one thing I'd change! As a quick example, after we decided on a flower farm location for our engagement photos (my choice, somewhere she had never been) and saw that when we got there that the scenery was actually not that great (oops on me!), Nikki was able to seamlessly adapt. Not only did we have fun, but our photos actually look like we're in lavender fields in France :) She's so good at her art, kind and fun while she's working, and I feel like I gained a friend in addition to heirloom photos my family and I will cherish forever.

Nikki is a special photographer but more than that, a special person. She not only has a special talent for capturing the essence of a moment but does so in a way that makes it all feel very natural and candid. Her personality and talents allowed for us to be naturally in the moment and not nervous or worried about anything; just enjoying our special time as she effortlessly captures it. She worked with us ahead of time to get to know us and understand our vision for our wedding, she is super kind, relatable, and welcoming. I would recommend her and her husband to anyone frankly. Words cannot express our gratitude and appreciation for Nikki. As a COVID bride, we had to reschedule our wedding four times. Despite the changes made to our big day, she still captured every single moment exactly how it felt. We didn't feel pressured or rushed - instead Nikki took the time to "create an experience" with every moment of the day. I don't even know where to begin! Hiring Nikki as our photographer was the best decision we made for our wedding! From planing our engagement session through the very last song at our wedding, Nikki was there for us! She was instrumental in every aspect of making our wedding the best day ever. She is patient, kind, calming, professional, and beyond skilled at her craft. She answered all of our questions and was able to handle a large wedding party with ease! She was able to make posing and portraits fun and easy! She captured the whole day beautifully, we will treasure the photos from this day forever. Nikki was so great to work with. She was incredibly professional and organized on our wedding day and managed to make the photography process feel natural rather than staged. We saw a sneak peek of some of our wedding shots and they are wonderful. She somehow even managed to get our dogs (the flower girl & ring bearer) to pose perfectly! We are so excited to see the rest of the pictures and would recommend Nikki to anyone in search of a photographer. Thanks for everything! -

We were absolutely thrilled with Nikki as our wedding photographer. Although her portfolio speaks for itself in terms the outstanding aesthetic and timeless appeal of her photographs, I wanted to utilize this review to share the not-so-apparent aspects of our sweet wedding photographer and how she gave us (and our guests!) an A+ experience. My husband and I were wow’d at how seamless our getting ready shots, first look, and family/bridal party portrait sessions went prior to the ceremony. We all felt at ease, were laughing, and genuinely having FUN with what could have easily been just another to-do task. I know I wasn’t the only one who felt this way since the day after the wedding I had several family members and guests reach out to me about how GREAT and FUN my photographer was (and they hadn’t even seen the images!). The best part about Nikki’s candid and natural approach to photographing our wedding was seeing the resulting images after the wedding and how they brought us back to GENUINE moments rather that memories of posing. This was priceless to us. I also wanted to quickly mention Nikki’s flexibility during the rescheduling of our original hurricane-impacted wedding date and how easy she was to work with through that very stressful time!! Overall, we LOVED having Nikki as the photographer of our most cherished day and would trust her to do it all over again. -

Nikki was such a calming presence in the last minute chaos as I was running slightly behind schedule for my ceremony. She is able to find beauty in the simplicity of the small details and precious moments. I love each and every one of our wedding photos. Five stars aren't enough to describe how talented, patient and creative Nikki Santerre is! Just from one look at her portfolio, I knew I wanted her by our side to capture our wedding day! I never once second-guessed my decision throughout the wedding planning process because Nikki was always available to help ease any stresses that I had or to answer any questions for me. On the wedding day, we had family, guests and vendors raving about how organized and calm she was throughout the entire day and couldn't BELIEVE that we had an entire gallery of photos before we even went to sleep the night after our wedding (not to mention, she flew back from Chicago that same day!!).
Speaking of Chicago, it was her first time visiting and she NAILED it. I had vendors raving about how her creative eye was such a breath of fresh air compared to other wedding photos that they consistently see weekend-to-weekend. When all my photos came back (one month after the wedding, can you believe it?!), I was looking at my dream wedding gallery. I can't even begin to thank Nikki enough for making us feel like models on the day of our wedding and producing such stunning photos. If you're even considering Nikki as your photographer, don't think twice and just book her. You will cherish your photos for many, many years to come! -
Jessica Sent on 12/28/2017Nikki is an amazing photographer. Her use of film and digital makes her images really unique. Not only is her work amazing, but she is great to work with. She was such a calming presence the day of my wedding when I needed it the most. She was also able to wrangle all of my nieces and nephews together for family portraits, which is a feat of its own. My entire family fell in love with her and her southern charm.
My wedding album and parents albums are beautiful, Nikki has such an eye for details and really created beautiful albums for us to cherish for years to come. Almost a year after the wedding she continues to share unique gifts with us to make us reminisce on the best days of our lives. I am so incredibly thankful for the work Nikki did for us and look forward to capturing future milestones with her. -

Our engagement photos were amazing and at our wedding reception you hardly noticed her and her assistants. She is so much fun to work with and I highly recommend her! -

Not only is she good at what she does, but she is excited and passionate about what she does. I thought engagement photos would be awkward but not with her! She makes everything fun and is so talented! She took beautiful pictures of our wedding day that I will cherish forever! I can not only say she is an amazing photographer but became a friend in the process.
