We had an amazing experience with Nick as our engagement photographer! He was incredibly responsive and was able to get us scheduled right away, which made the whole process stress-free from the start. Nick chose a stunning mountain location that created the most beautiful backdrop for our photos—it honestly felt like he took us on a destination mini vacation.
He coordinated everything so seamlessly and even became our personal “tour guide,” guiding us on a short hike up the mountain so we could catch the perfect sunset over the peaks. The experience was meaningful, fun, and truly unforgettable.
After the session, Nick got our first sneak peeks back to us quickly, and shortly after that, we received our full album. We highly recommend Nick to anyone looking for a photographer. He will undoubtedly make your magic moments last forever through his photography.

We had an incredible experience working with Nick for our engagement photos! He brought such a warm, fun energy to the entire shoot and made everything feel effortless and enjoyable. He guided us through poses in a way that felt natural and exciting, and we genuinely had the best time.
The locations he helped us choose at The Looking Glass and in the mountains were absolutely breathtaking — the views, the light, the scenery… everything was perfection. Our photos turned out stunning, and we are so grateful to have these beautiful memories captured so thoughtfully.

best photographer for the best day!!
Nick is an absolute gem!! We are so thankful that he photographed our wedding. My partner and I had a lot of requests and Nick accommodated them all while never making us feel difficult. He listened carefully to what was important to us - for my husband it was not stopping the party to take pictures and for me it was LOTS of candids of our loved ones. Somehow Nick made it happen!! We got gorgeous photos of the two of us just being ourselves with each other and amazing dance floor shots of our guests having the best time! With no posing!! The colors in the photos are fantastic -- even though Nick does AMAZING work outdoors he makes indoor photography feel just as special.
Nick made a special effort to take a lot of photos of my grandparents and our parents specifically which we will treasure in years to come. Our friends said that the photos "look like how the day felt" which is so right. We were amazed by how many micro moments between guests Nick captured!! Reliving the day via the photos is now my favorite past time.
To top it all off, Nick was incredibly kind and calm throughout the day. Everyone in our families raved about how nice our photographer was. He worked with our coordinator for our timeline to run on schedule without ever making us feel rushed. We got to be fully present all day long. It was the exact energy you want by your side throughout your wedding. If we could change one thing it would have been having Nick for more time!! -

My Fiancée and I were engaged in November of 2022 in Washington state. We moved across the country to the Northern part of South Carolina very shortly afterwards and just simply forgot to take engagement photos.
Obviously, moving to a new area, it was more difficult to know where to start looking for a good photographer much less who to trust with capturing such an important time in our lives.
As you may have guessed, our research into the perfect photographer led us to Nick Levine and, as they say, the rest is history.
Nick was an absolute pleasure to work with. He is a skilled photographer and a consummate professional. He had lots of great ideas for scenery with different backdrop options and never a shortage of suggestions for the perfect picture (also some pretty funny jokes to break the initial awkwardness of engagement photo taking).
It was a truly enjoyable experience (especially since the weather cooperated). We had a small hike around the Asheville area to a secluded waterfall called Crabtree Falls for the initial shoot. This was followed by a second location at a beautiful overlook that showed just how picturesque the North Carolina mountain ranges are.
We will, without a doubt, recommend Nick to any friends and family that need professional photography services in the future and personally hope to have the chance to work with him again in the future.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Nick, and I cannot recommend him enough as an engagement photographer. Living in a more urban area, we wanted photos that represented our love for the outdoors and Nick was able to help us pick the perfect location.
From the initial consultation to the final delivery of our photos, Nick displayed the utmost professionalism and talent. I wanted to keep the engagement a surprise and Nick helped keep the subtlety so we could truly surprise my partner.
He has an incredible eye for capturing authentic and intimate moments, and he worked with me to capture the moments that I knew would be important to us.
We are not people comfortable in front of the camera and Nick's friendly and relaxed demeanor instantly put us at ease during the shoot, allowing us to truly enjoy the experience.

Great experience - highly recommend !
Nick is SO easy and fun to work with! He photographed mine and my husbands elopement in Asheville and the pictures are BEAUTIFUL. He answered all my questions ahead of time and is one of the nicest people I’ve had the pleasure to work with! My husband and I aren’t picture people but Nick made us feel so comfortable and had us laughing and having such a great time. The preview pictures and the full gallery came back so quickly and the pictures are gorgeous. He captured everything beautifully down to the very last detail. We even have the option to order books and canvas pictures through the gallery, which is so convenient and easy to do! Nick will always be our go to photographer when we visit Asheville! -

Couldn’t have asked for better!
Working with Nick for our wedding was truly a dream come true! My husband found him through Facebook and I’ll be honest I was a little hesitant at first but the second we talked to him we knew this was exactly what we wanted! We had talked to some other photographers and they just didn’t have the relationship and personality that Nick had( Not to mention they were probably twice as much money). Nick was beyond our photographer, he was a friend who supported us with picking other vendors, finding local spots to eat, and just supporting us through some difficult wedding planning. On top of all of this, he takes really freaking good pictures. He helped us pick locations and kept the very stressful day very light and fun! Nick is someone we plan to use in the future for family photos and someone we just our so happy we have in our lives! Thank you Nick for everything you did for us! -

Neither of us are very photogenic but Nick was able to make us feel comfortable and captured the moments where we were truly 'us'. Not only were his photos light and beautiful bringing in the nature around us but they captured who we were as a couple. On our wedding day, I couldn't have told you where he was during the ceremony and reception... he blended in with the background capturing wonderful candid shots. I have been to so many weddings where the photographer was so obtrusive that I was more focused on them than the couple getting married, this wasn't the case with Nick. I don't know how he did it, but he is phenomenal! And one of the most important things to me is he didnt limit us on how many photos he gave us. I dont understand why some photographers limit you on how many photos you can keep electronically. Not Nick, if he shot it, he shared it. His website seems easy to purchase prints from, now we just need to decide what to buy! -

Nick is quite literally the best. I can go on and on about how amazing his pictures are. He captured every moment of our special day. What really makes Nick better than any other photographer is because he goes above and beyond his job description. Our wedding location was closer to where he lived than where we were. Nick went out of his way to recommend local vendors, gave his opinions on other vendors, and reviewed our itinerary for us. He could be a wedding planner easily. He is attentive when you need him. He’s available to chat but also laid back and isn’t constantly contacting you during your busy season of wedding planning. I can’t recommend Nick enough! He is the best! -

Nick comes HIGHLY recommended by his peers in the industry and for good reason. I originally reached out to a different photographer who was booked for our date, and honestly I'm glad she was! She recommended Nick to us and I am so thankful he was available to capture our elopement. He is so easy going, but still gets every shot you want. He was able to really capture the essence of us in photos. Eloping can feel uncomfortable or scary, but he honestly eased every fear and made us feel so at ease. Nothing ever felt over posed or weird. The pictures are honestly incredible. They are everything I wanted and more!! Book him, you will not regret it!! Beyond amazing!
Nick was just absolutely amazing from the start! I decided to call him super quick to see if he had availability and figure out pricing. From the first phone call I knew he was a perfect fit for our spur of the moment destination elopement! We were able to jump on another phone to plan the wedding day out and Nick exceeded all expectations. He truly helped plan the best day of our lives! He picked out waterfall locations, our sunset location, and even gave dinner recommendations. Anytime I had an idea, he’d send 50 different options to chose from. Not to mention we planned a wedding in a MONTH! He truly made the day 110% about the two of us, as it should be. He made us feel so natural and captured every special moment possible. A Swiss Army knife of a photographer
Nick was everything I could have wanted in a photographer and more. From a beautiful understanding of my vision to staying on the BALL with scheduling. Not only was he doing the job he was paid for. There were several instances of Nick going above and beyond his photographer duties.(ergo the title) One that everyone can remember was the way he came in clutch when 2 of our guest vegan dishes weren’t prepared yet. Swiss Army Knife Nick swooped in with some vegan friendly snacks to hold our friends off while they waited. It was just so cool ! It really displayed his character and his work ethic. Prepared for ABSOLUTELY anything life could throw. I highly recommend Nick My husband and I HAVE never looked so good These are pictures i will cherish for a lifetime. -

Nick joined our wedding vendor team just two and a half weeks before our big day due to some issues with our previously booked photographer. Having just met, I was nervous we wouldn't have enough rapport, but wow was I wrong! Nick was fantastic in every way. He made our families, friends, bridal party and us feel completely comfortable, so it was easy to be ourselves in front of the camera throughout the entire day. His positive energy helped calm my nerves, and his overall demeanor vibed with everyone in our group. As soon as we hopped on the first video call with Nick we knew we had found the right photographer for our engagement and wedding photos - Nick is a true professional but has an incredibly warm and down-to-earth demeanor. Being in the outdoors is really important to us and one of the things that drew us to Nick was his ability to capture the beauty of nature in his photos. Working with Nick for our proposal was truly a pleasure. He made the entire experience feel special and he captured the moment perfectly. He even let us put a little bit of our own spin on some of the pictures which made it fun! The final gallery of photos is amazing! Not only was Nick professional and responsive throughout the whole process, but he was extremely helpful with the planning aspect of everything so that I could keep it a surprise for my fiancé. Nick was a savior before and during my wedding. Before the wedding even began, he was extremely helpful with information and pointing me in the right direction in his network to achieve exactly what we wanted (which I wasn't even fully sure of at the time). Weddings are packed with infinite emotion and expectations and Nick's ability to come along side me and encourage me to be myself and do anything we wanted with our rules was inspiring. The pressure of having our moment be spectacular was relieved by knowing this professional talented rockstar was going to make sure he captured all stunning moments. I was so busy my wedding day, I don't even remember all the phots he took happening (it all happens really fast) and now I have them forever to cherish. I’ll start by saying that Nick is one of those people you CANNOT forget. My interactions with him leading up to our elopement ceremony felt like I was talking to longtime friend. He prepares meticulously so he can provide the best possible experience on your special day!
30 minutes prior to our ceremony (you know... right around the time us brides start to get the “omg this is actually happening” shakes) he came in with such a CALM energy that immediately put THIS shy bride at ease.
The pictures turned out SO GOOD! He’s got a terrific eye and helped us break through the nerves so he can get genuine facial expressions. Don’t worry, he will guide you well :)

Nick was so much fun to work with. I felt so comfortable and able to be myself which is so important during a photo session. Hire him!!
Nick was the best photographer that I have ever worked with! From the moment we inquired about his services to the delivery of our wedding pictures, we could not have asked for a better photographer. He was always there to answer any question or concern I had. One of my main concerns was making sure he had experience shooting interracial couples as the lighting can be tricky, which was not a problem at all. When we told Nick about our change in wedding plans going from a 160+ guests list to 50 and having a small ceremony, he was very flexible and understanding of our situation. Our pictures completely exceeded our expectations!! -

I can’t say enough amazing things about Nick! I knew just a few moments into our initial phone consultation that he would be a great fit for what my fiancé and I had in mind for our Wedding day. His style really stood out to us and I couldn’t believe how reasonable his pricing was compared to some other quotes I had gotten.
We booked right before COVID happened and Nick stayed in contact with us the entire time. He would occasionally send emails just to check in and see how we were handling life during these crazy times. He was even able to provide some great recommendations for other services I needed for the wedding. Unfortunately our plans changed from a large gathering of friends and family this past September to a private elopement with just us and our two witnesses and a larger reception next year. Nick was very accommodating to our situation and it truly made a very difficult decision a little easier to bear.
By the time our Wedding day rolled around, I felt like I was seeing an old friend rather than just meeting Nick for the first time in person. He was very friendly and the whole evening was a fun experience for us all.
Not only was Nick great the day of, but we had our sneak peeks within 24 hours and a full digital gallery well before his promised time of completion. He was such a pleasure to work with and captured memories that we can look back on for years to come! -

We hired Nick off of thumbtack to photograph our wedding, he called me back within minutes. We really didn’t know what to expect that his pictures we beautiful. Well, let me just say NICK LEVINE’S work was far beyond what we even imagined. He was professional, punctual, flexible, and communicated with us about all details especially through the uncertainty of 2020. Our family and friends were in literal happy tears when we sent the final pictures over. Nick captured so many moments that Brandon and I missed in the whirlwind of the day, we are so thankful. We would highly recommend Nick! He is very professional and communicates in a timely manner. The quality of the photos were too notch and he captured everything we wanted for our wedding day! He attended to all of our requests and made us feel extremely comfortable. -

When we planned a trip to the Biltmore, my husband and I decided to have couples photos taken. I googled for photographers in Asheville, and Nick was one of the ones to pop up. Communicating with him was very easy and he was very quick when responding. He made everything very easy and understandable. When the day came he was honestly awesome. I am a vibes kind of person, and I felt very at ease with him. He made us feel very comfortable during during the entire shoot. We laughed a lot. The areas he chose for the photos were absolutely gorgeous. Even after the shoot communication was still consistent and he gave us our photos when agreed. I will definitely be hiring him again when needed. I would definitely recommend him to anyone in search of a photographer, and he travels to you if needed. -
