Nick has it ALL!

Nick is everything you need in a photographer on your wedding day. He is supportive and insightful. He is friendly and professional. He caught our most important moments effortlessly and took us through portraits quickly. Our photos came out perfectly, we were elated with the final result.

Our wedding changed from a 300+ guest BBQ picnic to a 10 person ceremony in our backyard livestreamed on youtube (thanks, COVID!) and Nick was with us every step of the way.

Nick Griner is an invaluable addition to any team of wedding vendors. 10/10. Highly recommend.

Amazing photos

I'm someone who truly dislikes having my picture taken - but Nick made everything so easy! Engagement photos were a breeze and our wedding photos (socially distant and at a small ceremony, the details of which came together last minute) are beautiful. Nick makes everything feel laid back and everyone feel at ease. He's incredibly flexible and captures gorgeous moments! Could not recommend more highly.

Professional, flexible and great photos!

Nick was wonderful to work with and was very flexible when our pre-wedding timeline didn't go as planned. The photos are wonderful and he was even able to get the teenagers to smile in the wedding portraits!

We can't wait to see the pictures!

Working with Nick was easy and fun, a plus when your wedding day can be busy and at times stressful. We already knew that Nick was a talented photographer, but it was even more evident during the day of our wedding. We managed to have some clouds, sun, rain, and even a rainbow on our day, and we can't wait to see how they captured it all. Nick managed to make us all feel at ease with his easygoing nature, yet managed to wrangle our families and friends easily for photos, even cracking a joke to help people genuinely laugh/smile for the photos. Him and his assistant were a pleasure to work with, both having a great eye for photography. We feel so lucky that we has such pleasant people to work with, considering how much time you spend with photographers on your wedding day. Would highly recommend Nick for any occasion!

When I talk about my wedding day, I start by saying "Nick, our photographer, was perfect." No joke. He was amazing! I got to see some of his shots on the day of--- chills! So beautiful! He has an eye for capturing every detail in the most beautiful way! He also was taking a ton of amazing candid shots of our guests! Nick made us feel so comfortable, kept us on schedule and really made our day all we wanted it to be! He's fantastic. He won't disappoint.

We loved Nick and his assistant Tasha!! They kept us on schedule and made sure I got all the pictures I wanted even though we were rushed for time. I live out of town so we had a phone meeting a month before the wedding to discuss logistics and details. I felt like he had us totally covered and the day would go smoothly. My sister also used him and loved him, so it was an easy choice to hire Nick.
My wedding was 2 weeks ago and he already sent me previews of some pictures and I'm totally blown away. The pictures are beautiful and they perfectly captured the happiness of the day. Highly recommend him!!

Nick did an amazing job with our photos. He was very responsive and laid back. It was much hotter than I anticipated it was going to be on my wedding day. As a result, I as pretty hot and uncomfortable during our photo session and my family was being less than cooperative. Nick managed to stay positive and keep things moving. The pictures are beautiful! He has a great eye for lighting and textures. I think he really captured the romance of our wedding venue and our day in general. He also stayed longer than he was supposed to because he wanted to capture a few more events from our reception. We were very happy we selected him as our photographer.

We loved having Nick as our photographer. While laid back and easy to work with, the quality of his work is unmatched. He is creative in finding the best images and utilizing the asset of the venue to enhance the capturing the experience. Nicholas Griner was the best choice for our wedding photographer. From the beginning, he was responsive, flexible, friendly, helpful, and it was evident that he was an expert in his field. Nick worked with us and provided the guidance that we needed. He brought new ideas that ended up making for great photography that we are so happy to have. I trusted that we were in good hands with him and that I would not need to worry about anything the day-of, and I was right. Nick and his assistant Tosha showed up early and jumped right in. I can’t think of a picture that they did not get. We took portrait pictures on the water in Harbor East, MD, and they found many perfect backdrops and were creative with the landscape, showing their artsy side. They felt more like friends at our wedding than vendors, and they seemed to genuinely enjoy taking pictures the entire day. We could not beat the value of price and quality of service and pictures that we received. Nick edited and shared our photos before the expected timeframe, created a website for us, and organized the pictures in albums. The options to download for free or purchase a variety of prints from the site is very convenient for our family and friends. We could not have asked for a better photographer and we absolutely recommend Nick and his team to everyone.

One of the most important decisions anyone getting married has to make is choosing a photographer, and we couldn't be more pleased that we chose Nick. We knew after our initial meeting with Nick that we wanted him to be our photographer. Not only are his photos amazing, but he is just an all around great person to work with. Not only is he extremely professional, but he is laid back and always makes you feel comfortable. He made sure to get our input as to what specific shots we wanted, and executed perfectly. Of all the decisions to make for our wedding, the photographer was one of the two things we absolutely agreed we had to get right, and we couldn't be happier with our decision to have Nicholas shoot our wedding. After looking at Nicholas' portfolio, we decided we liked his style of photography and set up an initial meeting to go over want we wanted and the various wedding packages he offered. He was familiar with our venue and had great insight as to what would and wouldn't work. We met again before the big day to go over the time line and he went over all the groups of people we specifically wanted photos of and what times would work best. On the big day he was ready to go and did a great job of keeping the group pictures moving along quickly and really having a plan of attack. He seemed to be all places at once. He really did a wonderful job of capturing the special moments of the day as well as all the fun of the reception. As soon as we received the pictures, we were thrilled with the results and couldn't wait to share them with our friends and family. He did a fantastic job.

Selecting Nick to be our photographer was one of the easiest and best choices we made! We had experience with Nick from my brothers wedding years ago, so we felt very confident that he would great again. We were right. He was extremely flexible and helpful, responding to questions, concerns and suggestions. Although he had never been to our venue before, he was quick to find spots that gave us outstanding scenes in our pictures. There is seriously not a bad picture in the entire set, and that is saying a lot considering there are over a thousand! His personality makes you feel comfortable right from the start. He is worth every penny and I would recommend him to any and everyone.

Nick is a truly fantastic photographer and you'll be missing out if you don't work with him! From the engagement photos to the wedding day, Nick was a real professional, always very responsive and offering creative ideas for shots and locations. As with all weddings, the evening of was hectic, but Nick did an amazing job keeping everyone (particularly me) cool, calm, and collected, while keeping the atmosphere light during the family and bridal party portraits. During the reception, he captured the most amazing candid shots that tell the story of the night and were better than I ever expected. The documentary style shots captured the joy, love, and all the emotions of the our evening perfectly. Nicholas was the absolute best. He is absolutely top-class as a photographer. He has a range of options available to fit different budgets, so don't be scared off by the going rate for someone his caliber. Chances are that he can work with you to craft a plan you both agree on.
I knew going in that no matter what, he'd get some great shots, because I've seen his work before. But the number of amazing shots that we got back kind of blew me away. I can't believe how great I looked in those portrait photos, and he even got my camera-shy husband to relax and smile!
I should also say that during our wedding day, Nicholas was very professional and personable, and put everyone at ease. He knew exactly how to get the best photos using the scenery around us, what angles to use, when to blend into the background and shoot, and when to ask for a pose. We are very happy with our choice!

Nick was a fantastic photographer. He was easy to work with, reasonably priced, and a great mixture of laid back but also completely professional and on top of things. I planned our wedding from a distance, since I was out of state, and he answered my questions over the phone and was flexible with meeting with my fiance and I during our limited scheduled when we were in town. On the day of the wedding, Nick did a fantastic job of getting the pictures we wanted and wrangling family members for the massive group pictures. He also did his magic in getting some great pictures that made it look like we were outside on a sunny day even though it was raining. My husband and I had a great time working with Nick and would absolutely recommend him. And needless to say, the pictures were beautiful and he really captured the fun we had at the ceremony, as well as the emotion of the day.

He is so professional and great at what he does! He made the picture taking process fun, which sometimes can seem to drag and take forever. I (bride) contacted Nicholas Griner based on his Wedding Wire reviews. He met us for an engagement session where I realized I had found a great photographer. Nicholas is so easy to work with, made us both feel comfortable, talented, professional, flexible, talented... He made time to say hi to me right before my father and I walked down the aisle. After the ceremony and during the reception, he made sure to get all the photographs we wanted, without taking us away from our family and friends too much. My husband and I selected Nicholas Griner for our wedding photographer after he was recommended by our wedding venue, the Hillsborough winery. What an excellent choice!

I was a little worried about the wedding pictures, that photographs would be an ordeal, because my husband hates having his picture taken. Nicholas and his assistant were great. They were calm, relaxed, and not at all intrusive during the "getting ready" phase, and Nicholas had a great sense of humor that put everyone at ease. The group photos were efficient and nearly painless, and we ended up having a great time taking informal group shots with the wedding party.

When I saw the photos, I was totally blown away. Years later, I still get compliments
on various photos we printed and framed. The photos are just breathtaking, and captured both the key moments of the ceremony, and fun candid photos of the reception. I was impressed by how the photos really captured the personalities of the wedding party and guests.

Beyond the quality of the photos, I was very impressed by Nicholas's customer service. He always responded to emails promptly, returned calls, made paperwork straightforward, and really seemed to care about our customer satisfaction. After the wedding, he got the pictures to us quickly. When it took my husband and me well over a year to figure out EXACTLY what photos we wanted in the wedding album, he was patient and friendly, and sent us the wedding album promptly after we finally selected the photos.

I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a friendly, low key, and gifted wedding photographer!

Nick is a flat-out amazing photographer! On top of being so personable and easy to get along with, he's a dedicated professional. He is very accommodating and flexible, meeting us at our house on multiple occasions, being upfront about pricing, and providing an overall high level of service, which is commensurate with a much higher price than what he charges. And for that price, he allows you to keep the rights to all of your photographs, which is something that many photographers will not do. The day of the wedding, he was hard at work, and incredibly patient with us as looming rain had us flip-flopping about whether to hold the ceremony outside or inside. He was pleasant and unobtrusive to have at our event. We felt so comfortable having him go around taking pictures. His photographs are amazing, as you can see on his website. We'd definitely recommend opting for the photo-book -- you will not be disappointed! Nick is a great photographer, a fine individual, and if you have the opportunity, book him for your event!

Nick was absolutelty amazing. Very great and easy to work with. I would only recommend Nick to ANYONE needing a photographer for the big day. I had to the opportunity to work with Nick on my ethnic (Indian/Pakistani) wedding in Baltimore, MD. He took the time to understand my specific needs, learn the events in the day and more importantly was able to roll with the general ad-hoc nature that comes with only ethnic weddings. He worked with us to get all the shots we wanted and helped organize the guests to make those shots happen (not an easy task in our culture). On what is one of the most stressful days in our lives, we were very at ease and confident in Nick and his team's ability to deliver.

Nick not only delivered on the day itself, but was extremely receptive with our needs after the fact, providing us all the variations of the photos we had asked for. I look forward to some of the other milestones where I can work with Nick again. I highly recommend his services to anyone in the DC Metro area.

I just received my album and video tape from Nick Griner. I can't even explain how beautiful they both are. Nick and his team took over 2000 pictures that I had to choose for the album. Nick worked with me to help create my album and I couldn't have been more happy with the outcome.

Nick photographed my sister’s wedding 5 years ago and he did a great job, so there was no question who I was using. He was flexible with the price and worked within my budget, but didn't cut any corners.

I hire a professional Videographer and received my DVD's before Nick sent me his. My husband and I thought that the overpriced Videographer did an ok job. During one of our meetings with Nick he asked if I had hired a Videographer yet. I told him yes, but what was the price? Nick was able to work into my package his Videographer, so I agreed. Let me explain how amazing this Video was!!! It was exactly how my husband and I remember the night. They picked the perfect songs to go with the video and I couldn't stop smiling. It was truly amazing. My husband and I were so happy that we went with Nick’s Videographer. That is the one that we will be showing our family and friends.

I know how crazy it is trying to find any vendor for your wedding. No matter what you will always be wondering...Will they do a good job...will they show up...am I getting the best deal...am I going to like the outcome. Please understand this, with Nick and his team you won't have to worry about any of those questions.

Nick--I can't thank you enough for all of my memories! You captured the true love that I have for my husband, family and friends. You are amazing at what you do and thank you for being a part of my special day. I'll remember it forever because of you.

Nick was the best photographer! He met with me and my husband and answered all of our questions. he has high quality equiptment that results in beautiful pictures. He was quick and efficient in getting all family members organized and to the right spot for group photos which can be challenging so you can actually enjoy your wedding day and not spend the entire time taking pictures. He was funny but did not get in the way; I didn't even notice him taking pictures yet there were so many great shots. He is very responsive and gives you exactly what you want. His prices were also extrememly reasonable and flexible - you get a lot for your money. One of our pictures was even chosen to be hung in our venue (Hillsborough Vineyards) because it was so good. He is such a great photographer we are having him take photos of our daughter when she is born in October! I would highly recommend using Nick as your wedding photographer.

Nick Griner was awesome to work with. After a TON of research and meeting with only 2 photographers, we knew he was the perfect fit for our needs. Photography was the one area we were willing to splurge in order to have a high quality album and pictures. Now, a bargain shopper at heart, I was amazed at how inclusive and affordable Nick's wedding packages were. He was also very flexible in modifying packages as needed. This really set him apart from other photographers. His packages included the album as well as copies of the pictures on a DVD. Personality wise, he was very confident, down to earth and direct. He even offered to help with the organization/schedule of the evening events in order to keep the rest of our vendors on the same page. He brought a 2nd photographer (as arranged in our package) and it was great to get so many awesome pictures from 2 different perspectives. While Nick may have captured a more formal picture of the wedding party, his partner captured it from different angles, as well as other close-up candids. I highly recommend requesting 2 photographers. Our pictures were great, Nick was even willing to stop traffic, LITERALLY, to get the best shot! Our album turned out absolutely beautiful. I am in the time of my life, where everyone and their brother is getting married. Anytime they ask (or even if they don't!), I always suggest Nick.

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Nick and his team. Nick photographed my cousin's wedding about 7 years ago and he did an amazing job- and when it came down to choosing a photographer for my own wedding, he was the first person to come to mind. Nick was very accommodating from the very first meeting. He was professional and organized. We decided about 7 months before our wedding, well after we had signed a contract with Nick, that we wanted to have our wedding videotaped. I asked Nick if he knew anyone who could do it, as we only wanted our ceremony taped, and he immediately got to work to find us someone. We merely had to ask and he did the rest- he organized it with the videographer and we didn't have to worry about a thing! Throughout our entire planning process, anytime I had a question- even completely unrelated to the wedding photography- Nick gave great recommendations and advice. He met with us about a week before the wedding to make sure he had everything he needed and to make sure we let him know anything special we wanted done.

Our wedding day could not have gone more smoothly- and so many of our guests commented on how professional and unobtrusive he and his team were! He blended right in and it was like he was a guest at the wedding- which gave us some great candid shots from the reception!

All in all, Nick and his team were amazing. We have so many stunning photographs from our wedding and we could not be more pleased. He got every shot we wanted and then some, and we got our photos back so quickly, too! I had heard one too many horror stories about wedding photographers that just didn't work out, but from the start I knew that we made the right choice, and I would hands down recommend that any bride and groom who want timeless and beautiful photos to look back on use Nick. Nick Griner took photos for our wedding this past July in Baltimore. He was great to work with throughout the whole process even while I was trying to plan everything from 1700 miles away. He asked great questions and really helped us when it came to figuring out what pictures we wanted and how the reception was going to flow. When the pictures came back I can't begin to tell you how in love with them we are. I can't help but pour over them from time to time and just remember what a beautiful, memorable, and FUN night that was. Many, Many thanks to Nick and his team for truly capturing our day. Nick is an amazing photographer. He is extremely organized, professional and easy to work with. He had a variety of packages from which we could choose and has options that fit every couple's taste and budget. I could go on and on about the great quality and creative photographs he takes but I think his portfolio speaks for itself! Nick was wonderful!

Very easy going, always responsive, flexible and non-intrusive. He did a great job in catching moments you will want to cherish forever.

Our church only allowed 15 mins for pictures inside and although it was a short period of time, Nick was efficient and got all the pictures we wanted. They looked great!!!

Nick was easy to work with and even very helpful with planning the entire wedding! He was never judemental. No question was ever stupid. He researched places before-hand where we could take pictures so we didn't waste time wondering what or where we should go. Nick also knew how to pose us and worked with our personalities which shows in the pictures. He also worked around our schedule to meet with us for all planning meetings. Nick was prompt in returning phone calls and emails. I reccommend Nick for all events. Nick rocks!

My husband and I were actually considering not having a photographer at all at our wedding until we met Nick. We were sick of overpriced, overhyped, and overly complicated packages with confusing contracts and pressure. Within meeting minutes of meeting him, we knew Nick was different. He was organized, professional, and experienced. At the same time, he was relaxed, thoughtful, and willing to adapt his services to exactly what we wanted. Nick was also willing to work with our budget and gave us full rights to our picture files - an agreement we did not find with any other photographer we contacted and really sealed the deal for us.
At the wedding, he captured an exceptional variety of traditional and non-traditional pictures, and was accessible the entire evening for impromptu requests. Several of our guests commented that they enjoyed his approach to his task for the day - even the huge extended family pictures went smoothly and effortlessly.
When we first saw the pictures afterwards, we were amazed by his ability to capture not only the people and events of the day, but also the details and flavor of the venue and season. His creativity and artistic eye shine through our pictures and we couldn't be happier with how they turned out.
On top of all of that - Nick is an all around fun guy who we were glad to have at our party and part of our day.

My husband & I used Nick for both our engagement photos and wedding. Nick was amazing – he has such a creative eye – we got shots that really showed our personalities and captured the true spirit of our wedding. He took magazine-worthy shots of all the things and people that were special to us; especially the personal touches we used to make our wedding truly unique. The photos turned out better than I ever could have imagined – it’s nearly impossible to pick which ones to have printed. Nicholas Griner Photography ROCKS! Nick did an amazing job at my destination wedding in August 2009.

All emotions of the day were captured by Nick's great skill and eye for a great shot. Since we had a destination wedding, it was extremely important to us to have pictures that captured the moments for people that weren't able to travel to our wedding. Everyone we've shown our pictures to have said they felt like they got to join in on the ceremony and fun reception!

Nick traveled far to the Dominican Republic with all of his equipment and acted like it was no big deal at all. Truly a professional! I was very comfortable telling him what shots I was thinking of and he gave me great advice and suggestions as well. My husband dislikes being photographed, but he didn't mind it with Nick! Nick was just shooting away, but it seemed like he wasn't even there. Nick got all the shots I asked for (and more!) and we even did a "trash the dress" photo session the morning after the wedding out on the beach!

His services and professionalism went above and beyond and his calm demeanor put me at ease. He was always very responsive and was timely in sending me the pictures. I was in awe when I saw his work. Looking at our pictures brings us great joy and makes me feel like I am reliving it all over again. I could go on and on, but as you can see by his work, he is an outstanding photographer and a truly likeable person......

Excellent photos. My husband and I and our families are extremely happy with the wedding photos Nick took. We will definitely recommend him in the future. Very professional in dress and conduct and has always responded back quickly when contacted. He was very flexible in his schedule for the wedding day with the trip back and forth from the church to the house and back to the church.

Working in PR in the Baltimore area, I have admired Nick's work as a photojournalist. After our first consultation, I knew he would be able to handle 9 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls, 5 groomsmen and a very Italian mother-of-the-bride.

Nick was able to keep everyone on task and schedule throughout the entire day. He managed the entire party with a great sense of humor. The posed pictures were painless and he made a point to make sure everyone was having fun. That spirit was captured in all of his photos. My wedding party continues to comment about how great Nicks demeanor was and how special he made us feel about the day.

Aside from his professionalism as a photographer, his work speaks for itself. I continue to relive the day and remember the joy, emotion and absolute blast we had with every picture. The only complaint I have is that I now have to sort through all of the pictures and pick my favorites for an albumand I have too many favorites. When picking a photographer, it is important to remember that the day flies by. Everyone warns you that it will, but it isnt until you are saying your goodbyes at the end of the night that you realize it! Your photos will be how you enjoy your special day over again for the rest of your lifeyou want to be sure that you have the best, while considering budget. Nick fulfills the best of both worlds with fun, beautiful shots at an affordable price!

I first worked with Nick in my professional career as a public relations consultant with one of the leading agencies in Washington, DC. Nick always handled stodgy executives with ease and his professionalism and quality of work was second-to-none. So when it came time for my wife and I to get married, I knew that he was the photographer we would use. What I didn't know was how much fun and organization he would bring to the entire process.

It started with an initial consultation where Nick went over all the details that a photographer can only know after years of experience. He brought up so many things that my wife and I had not thought of and he laid out our options in a manner that made the decisions simple for us. Nick was the first vendor that we met with in our wedding planning process and he brought a level of enthusiasm to the initial consultation that got things off to an exciting start.

As the planning process moved forward, Nick would check in at strategic intervals. He wanted to stay abreast of all our evolving arrangements, in order to adjust his strategy for our special day accordingly.

The final planning session, which took place a few weeks before our wedding, was extremely detail-oriented. Nick made sure that he reviewed and cataloged every shot that he needed to get on our wedding day; he checked and re-checked times, locations, addresses and all the names of everyone in our wedding party; he asked about the personalities of our guests so he knew what to expect at the reception; he made artistic suggestions that we never would have imagined. The list goes on and on.

On our wedding day all of Nick's preparation unfolded seamlessly. He arrived at my wife's parent's house early to take photos of her getting ready. Those shots captured the beaming excitement of my bride on the morning of her most special day. Then onto the church where he snapped shot after shot of every last moment leading up to the final kiss and the sounding of the bells. After the ceremony, Nick captured all the traditional shots with family and friends. But is was the time that he spent with my wife and I alone outside of the church that produced some of the most amazing, artistic images. Nick used my wife's bouquet, her veil, our rings, our hands and his artistic talent to tell a visual story of the amazing event that had taken place only moments before.

At the reception, Nick was non-stop. He took pictures of all the guests in the moment, with smiles on their faces that weren't forced or artificial. He made sure that his lense didn't miss a single special moment between my wife and me. At one point I said to Nick, Hey man, relax for a minute and get something to eat and drink. He looked at me, gulped down a glass of ice water, smiled and was back in motion.

We got our photos back from Nick the other day and my wife and I went through them. It took us back to that special day and brought back every emotion that we felt. Nick was able to capture the most special moments that my wife and I ever experienced and many that we would have missed if he wasn't there to preserve them forever.

I can't tell you how pleased my husband and I were with Nick's service and the quality of his photos. We opted not to have a videographer so photos were extremely important to us. And we were thrilled with our selection.
Nick's pre-wedding consultations were detailed and professional. He listened to my requests (I wanted to see lots of modern/artsy shots as well as the traditional ones. And he delivered exactly what I asked.)
On the day of the ceremony, he and his assistant were friendly and extremely flexible. They handled the group shot of my husband's family (all 9 siblings and their spouses and kids) with ease.
Our only complaint about the whole experience is having too many great shots to choose from for our album!

Nick was the first vendor that we hired and later on after becoming more experienced with the whole wedding planning thing, it occurred to us that we never even "shopped" around for a photographer before hiring him. My husband had never even met him. That left us a bit nervous, but after shotting our engagement photos, my husband felt extremely comfortable and confident in Nick. Our entire experience turned out to be a comfortable and easy going one. At our wedding and since then, Nick has been very professional and has always given prompt customer service.

We could not have asked for a better photographer. For two people who hate being photographed, we were pleasantly surprised when we ended up ordering more than 600 prints. Nicholas was a fantastic photographer for my wedding day. Nick was fantastic. Our photos were beautiful and he was not only professional but fun to work with! He was also incredibly flexible when we realized we needed him to stay for an extra hour during the reception. Finally, he provides you with all of the high resolution photos on a dvd and website so you can eaily get copies made whenever you want.
