  Ashley went above and beyond

  We cannot say enough good things about Ashley and her team. We only hired her for partial services and honestly she went way above and beyond than what we contracted her for. She truly took the time to answer every question or stressful moment I had and she made me feel calm and excited entering my wedding day. I will never forget me feeling anxious about to walk down the aisle and she told me you look beautiful and you got this! It helped me relax and smile, I will never forget it! Thank you Ashley for everything you did to make our day a success and it truly was the best day of our lives!

  The BEST Planner!

  We interviewed a lot of planners, but Ashley made us feel comfortable, calm and we connected right away. She really understood our vision and helped design the most beautiful rehearsal dinner and wedding! It truly took the stress away from us and we are so thankful that we found Next Event.

  The Best Planner!

  We planned our wedding from Chicago and we were looking for a planner that is established in the Monterey area. Ashley and her team are extremely thorough and kept us updated with all planning details. They are fresh with new ideas and on trend keeping us in budget. We felt so calm that everything was taken care of it was truly the best day of our lives. Don't hesitate to hire Ashley as your planner!

  5/30/21 wedding

  Ryan and I hired Ashley early on in the planning. We knew we wanted a planner and she was a perfect fit for us. We had just moved to the Monterey Bay area and her knowledge and relationship with other vendors was priceless. Our original wedding date was 6/20/2020 and because, ugh- covid) we had to reschedule. Twice! Ashley was a lifesaver. Each time she contacted all the vendors and venue and worked with everyone to find a date that would work. The day of her and team ran things like clockwork. I didn't have to worry about a thing. I just had to show up, ready to go. And it was perfect. Almost 2 years later Ashley had become someone Ryan and I consider a friend and its bittersweet to finally have had our wedding because we had to say goodbye to such an amazing person.

  I have no words for how AMAZING our coordinator was

  I honestly didn't think we even needed a coordinator. I am such an organized person and planning has always been a strong suit of mine. But I could not have been more wrong. Ashley was EXACTLY what we needed. We hired her as our day-of coordinator, but she was there for us long before the day of. Months before the wedding, she was calling our vendors, making sure each and every one of them was confirmed, and knew and adhered to the timeline she created. As for the day-of... it was beyond what I had even pictured in my mind. Best day of our lives, and it couldn't have been nearly what it was without her. A brides worst nightmare happened the morning of our wedding - suddenly we didn't have linens for our reception tables. Ashley called me from Bed, Bath, and Beyond and was literally shopping for linens for us on the morning of our wedding. If that doesn't explain how amazing she is, I don't know what does. Ashley - THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding day the best day of our lives.

  Worth every penny!

  We got married at Holman Ranch and needed a hands on wedding planner to help us plan our wedding. Ashley designed our wedding and made it so easy for us. We shared all details through an online profile and emailed nonstop! She truly made me feel at ease and handled all the details like a pro. Seriously find the room in your budget for an amazing planner it is so worth it and necessary!

  The best planner!

  We booked a custom partial package for my wedding. I was so lost and had no idea where to start. Ashley is so calm and creative that I am so lucky to have found her! She is very professional and never made it seem like I was too needy and we talked weekly. Her communication is great and she made my day better that I expected.
  
  My wedding day was a dream and seriously do not hesitate to book her! She books up quickly and we had to change our date due to COVID and were able to reserve her as our planner. Thanks again Ashley!!!

  Amazing Coordinator and Planner

  We got married in Big Sur and never planned a wedding before. We were torn between needing a planner/coordinator or not and boy are we glad that we found it in our budget! Ashley and her team went above and beyond for us. She does whatever it takes to make sure her couples are happy and stress free! We enjoyed working with her so much and were sad when our wedding was over. She made sure all the details were organized, everything was on schedule and helped lead us in the right direction. She is so calm and great at what she does! Thanks again Ashley for being our rock!

  Amazing and Detail Oriented

  We hired Ashley and her team to coordinate our wedding day of. She went above and beyond and doesn't nickel and dime like most coordinators do. She started and finished past what was contracted and made sure our day went perfectly. She is very knowledgeable and I wish we hired her sooner to help more with our big day. Every detail was just as I imagined and she shielded us from any mishaps that came up on our day. You will not be disappointed, hire Next Event!

  Ashley was our rock!

  We cannot say enough about Ashley! She was hired as a month of/some partial planning event coordinator, but she went above and beyond! As we neared our big day and the stress was becoming too much, Ashley took the reigns to lead the way all while being available for anything throughout the planning process! She was extremely responsive, kind, organized, thoughtful and pulled so much weight behind the scenes that we were at ease and able to trust her to tie up any loose ends while we enjoyed the moments leading up to becoming husband and wife! I truly felt we were working with a friend along this journey to make our dream day become a reality and we could not have done it without Ashley 💗 She really advocated for us and what we wanted our big day to be, then delivered this seemingly effortless perfect day! Request Ashley for any of your planning needs; you wont be disappointed!

  Ashley is Incredible!

  I had no idea or where to start with planning a wedding. I chose Next Event for full planning because of their pricing and professionalism. Throughout the entire process Ashley was one step ahead with the details and answered any questions that came up. She also designed my whole wedding exactly how I imagined it and allowed me to enjoy my big day. We could not have done it without Next Event! Do yourself a favor and hire them!

  My wedding would have not went flawlessly withoutout Ashley and her team.

  Without Ashley my event would have been a disaster! Trying to pull off my wedding and handling a newborn child was way too overwhelming for me. Ashley and her team were fantastic throughout the whole process. They went into great detail about things that I needed. They even assisted me with finding catering, entertainment, transportation and so much more.

  Super happy!! Next Event staff is fantastic! They were so proactive and detail oriented with our wedding. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful, and high quality even on a tight budget. Ashley has exceeded our expectations and I highly recommend Next Event! Ashley is a true professional, easy to work with, and helped to make fantastic memories that will last a lifetime!   Made My Dream Day a Reality - Without the Stress!

  As a busy medical student, I was worried about also planning a wedding. Luckily, I found Next Event! Ashley and her team were able to plan almost every detail of my big day, while also continuously checking in and making sure I loved everything. She talked to each vendor and found the best deals, saving me a lot of money. Communication is key and Ashley was always extremely responsive to any of my ideas/concerns. She took my vision and made it even more magical than I could've done myself while also lessening my stress and nerves. I truly could not have done this without Next Event and I am so grateful to Ashley!

  Not sure that I can recommend for partial planning services.

  Ultimately, Next Event helped our wedding run pretty smoothly and their day of coordination services were helpful. However, we hired Next Event for partial planning (primarily month of with some help with decor/floral planning prior to that) and were unfortunately disappointed with the services we received in that month before the wedding. We were told Ashley would meet with us right before the month of window started so that we could catch her up on where things were at and she would be ready to hit the ground running when we were officially a month out. She reached out to schedule this meeting the week before the window started, and when I replied back the same day with my availability she did not respond. By the time we officially hit a month out, I still had not heard back from her (over a week later) and again emailed her to check in about having the call. I still did not hear back from her for another two days when she finally asked if I was free for a call the FOLLOWING week, at which point we would have been about 3 weeks out from the wedding day (so well into that month of window). At this point I expressed some disappointment that I felt we were not getting the full month of services we had paid for. As a stressed out bride, I was counting down the days until she took over, and every day counted at that point. When I expressed this, she didn’t explicitly apologize, but did agree to move our meeting up and assured me we were a priority. Our wedding day went fairly smoothly. There was a major piece of decor missing due to a miscommunication that I wish she would have caught when she arrived at the venue before us that day, but that was not entirely her fault (it’s importance to me was something that I mentioned multiple times throughout the planning process, though). There were a couple other small things, like not thinking through where to have us go to not be bombarded by guests immediately after the ceremony and before photos. We also didn’t hear anything from her after the event other than when I reached out to ask where something had ended up at the end of the night and she responded, but didn’t offer congratulations or thank us for choosing Next Event or anything like that. Obviously that isn’t something that’s at all necessary, but as one of the vendors we interacted with the most leading up to the wedding, it felt a bit cold.
  
  To be clear, my review is solely for partial wedding planning services and I am sure our experience would have been different had we hired Next Event for full planning services—it certainly seems like it from other reviews! We unfortunately just didn’t feel like we were prioritized or that we received the full month of planning services we hired them for.
