Indian wedding experience
Our family kicked off the first wedding ceremony for Sonja and Jake at Newport Beach House, through and through an Indian experience with baraat, wedding and sangeet. It was picture perfect - the venue, the weather, the view, the ambiance, the sound and decor. And the food, so delicious - all made in house. Big thank you to Leighton and her team for service excellence. And to Rachel and her team @cosabellaevents. It was so special for all of us. Still savoring every moment at this wonderful venue. -

We had the pleasure of having our wedding at the Newport Beach House: A Longwood Venue, in Middletown, RI. The venue was absolutely stunning! People talked about how beautiful the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were. So much space! Such a beautiful venue! My wife and I were blown away by the staff and how on top of things they were. Our wedding planner, Daria, was a huge help! Her and the staff at the Newport Beach House legit made this whole process and day so easy for us. We thank Daria for all her help in set up, calls, meetings, follow-ups. It was a dream venue and a dream day! 12/10 would recommend this location and staff for any experience let alone a wedding. Thank you so much Newport Beach House! You made our day a dream come true!! -

We had an absolutely amazing experience getting married here! We are so happy that we chose this venue. Not only is the location great, but Daria, our wedding coordinator, was amazing as well. She orchestrated everything beautifully, took care of us on the day of the wedding, and answered emails in a timely manner leading up to our big day! I would highly recommend choosing Newport Beach House for your venue though no matter which coordinator is assigned to your event. We fell in love with the venue and so did our guests. They also told us how much they LOVED the food! Everything was very tasty, more than you would expect for "wedding food." It was definitely worth the money. Our guests were impressed at the service at the event as well - the staff sets everyone's plate down at the same time which is super cool to see. It was the perfect space for us and the best backdrop for our ceremony. Highly recommend! -

Perfect beach wedding venue!
I had the BEST experience working with Ardriana and the rest of the Newport Beach House team for my wedding in August 2023!! The level of service and professionalism went above and beyond my expectations. Ardriana was very responsive throughout the whole process as we finalized our guest count and made tweaks to our food/ rental options. The wedding day went so smoothly thanks to all of her hard work organizing the timeline and coordinating with our vendors. We were lucky to have great weather for an outside ceremony and cocktail hour, and had our reception in the Eventide room. Our guests raved about the beach/ sunset views from the deck and how delicious all of the food was. Newport Beach House was truly the venue of my dreams! -

Newport Beach House
Our wedding day ended up being far better than what we even imagined! As disappointed as we were to not have the ceremony outside, the inside “plan b” ended up being just as amazing and beautiful. Hands down, one of the best wedding venue food I’ve ever had. Also, Daria was extremely helpful and flexible with ensuring our day was perfect and to our expectations! Jess was also amazing to deal with and was always there looking out for us too! -

Newport Beach house is a DREAM wedding venue & team. Everyone we worked with - starting with our tour with Emily to our amazing planner Daria to our attendant Jess and everyone in between - was absolutely incredible. Daria helped us stay organized and ensured that we had the wedding day of our dreams. Our guests are still raving about the food and how great the Newport Beach House was at serving folks quickly and keeping everyone more than happy throughout the evening! -

Indian/Catholic fusion wedding
I cannot speak highly enough about NBH. I had a very complicated, tightly packed schedule of Indian/Catholic fusion events and NBH made the process SO easy. They allowed for a baraat, full Indian ceremony, and their own Indian fusion menu that blew our guests away. They were SO attentive to me throughout the day. The venue is stunning, and I heard from several guests that it was their favorite venue of all time. I’m going to relive this day throughout my life thanks to NBH. Its expensive, but worth t every penny. -

Not only is this venue absolutely beautiful, their staff is so professional, helpful, and efficient. Everything from booking the wedding back in 2019 to our wedding day in 2022 was perfect. They were super accommodating with COVID when we decided to move our wedding date. I can not recommend this venue enough! Also, the food is cooked on site by their chefs and is amazing! -

From the start of the process over a year ago to the grand finale a week ago Daria was nothing but professional, responsive, flexible and mostly supportive to both myself and my daughter while we planned such an important day! The food was just amazing (everyone is still raving about it) For anyone wondering if the food is as good as it was at your tasting the answer is without a doubt yes! My now husband and I were guests at a beautiful wedding at the Newport Beach House in 2017. Fast forward to 2020 when we got engaged, we knew we had to visit the venue again. Needless to say, we fell in love the second we stepped back here and booked the Surfside space for a Sept 2021 wedding. The ocean backdrop and private beach setting is breathtaking. The Longwood team (and HUGE shoutout to Daria W, our day-of event coordinator) were very professional, communicative, and organized. Given the pandemic, we had some last minute changes to our guest count / food options, and the team was very understanding and flexible, working with us on everything. The food was by far the BEST food we've ever had at a wedding and everyone had commented on how delicious everything was (to this day, our friends & family are still talking about the food). Just thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts - it was truly everything we could have dreamed of and more. -

There really are no words to describe my appreciation for Ardriana, Jess and the team at Newport Beach House. My husband and I started planning our wedding in 2019 scheduled to be married Nov 1, 2020. Due to Covid we were forced like so many to move and reschedule. NBH and their team members made everything so easy, stressless and seamless during this hectic time. Their venue, view and staff are second to none and the service is the best you could request. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional. My mom and I bought a ton of decor to decorate the tables, room and cocktail hour to match our fall rustic theme; we left everything in the hands of Ardriana and she blew us away with the way the room was set up. We really can’t thank her and everyone there for their support to get us to our reception day (finally) and would advise everyone that Newport Beach House should be the place you chose to be married. -

Planning a wedding is never an easy task but planning one in a pandemic adds another layer of crazy! After having to reschedule several times due to COVID, we finally were able to have the wedding of our dreams. From start to finish, the team at NBH was communicative, supportive, and all around amazing. Daria was fantastic to work with, handling my million questions with ease and we loved our day of attendant Susan - she went above and beyond to make sure we ate, stayed on time, and overall had an amazing experience. The food was truly exceptional, our guests were absolutely raving about it.
The venue is truly beautiful - the views are stunning and the building is so modern and gorgeous. We knew it was our place the moment we walked in. I couldn't recommend Newport Beach House more! -

From the saleswoman who started us out to the event planner who was with us throughout the entire weekend the event was flawless. We received more compliments than we could count about the beautiful venue and the extraordinarily delicious food, right down to the chocolate cake. Reliable, accommodating, seamless
After rescheduling our wedding 3 times, the NBH saved us and made our dream wedding finally come to life. Ardriana was a pleasure to work with, always answered our questions timely and did her absolute best to accommodate all of our requests! If I could do it all again, I would chose the NBH time and time again! I also want to give a shout out to Dan for being so attentive. He always made sure I was finished eating before clearing my plate, had a drink in my hand at all times and kept us on schedule! I 100% recommend working with Longwood Events & Venues. They are responsive and so professional and were incredibly flexible and easy to work with. We had a couple of hiccups that I wasn't even aware of because the venue just made sure we were relaxed and having a great time instead of worrying us about the fact that the table numbers got lost on their way to the venue (probably my own fault). I even hugged our wedding coordinator at the end of the day because she was incredible and made our day so special.
Our wedding had to be postponed 3 times due to Covid but Newport Beach House/ Longwood was there with us every step of the way and were always knowledgeable and on top of what the current restrictions were. The staff also wore masks the entire time and sanitize everything between each wedding.
The place itself is beautiful. We chose this venue for the following reasons:
1. It is just as beautiful inside the venue as it is outside so we didn't have to worry if the weather didn't hold for our day
2. The whole place is air conditioned
3. Everything is wheelchair accessible for the older folks that attended our wedding
4. The food is AMAZING and cooked all on site

The Newport Beach House from start to finish was fantastic to work with. We absolutely love the space, it is both modern in it's fit & finish, but also located on the beach where it has a nice casual vibe that isn't overly pretentious. The outdoor space is gorgeous right on the beach with a terrace and 2nd floor balcony - and there is plenty of space for guests. Our wedding day was unfortunately a bit cold and rainy, where the venue was able to accommodate us inside...and everything still looked amazing and still had gorgeous views.
As for the food, everything was delicious. We got compliments from everyone we spoke with about how good the food was; comes in decent size portions, and is well presented.
Lastly, which we can't speak highly enough about - the planning process was great. Starting from Carly who was our sales rep working with us to secure our date and rental agreement. We did then have a few different wedding coordinators that we worked with, but also recognize that resources were in flux due to COVID, which made us a bit nervous - however, the venue and transition between their personnel and every single person we worked with was absolutely fantastic. We were able to do a tasting with both of our parents, which was a really fun experience and then would like to give special shout outs to Meghan Dargy and Ardriana Ferri!! Not only were they very communicative and pleasant pre-wedding, but they were both on-site with us, and they knew every single logistic that we had in our head to always keep us one-step ahead of where we needed t be.
We'd absolutely recommend the Newport Beach House to anyone considering this venue. Not to mention, there are plenty of really great Airbnbs in the area that makes for a really fun weekend and overall guest experience for those coming into Newport. -

There's not much to say beyond wow. From the initial tour to the final morning after my wedding, my groom, parents and I have been absolutely blown away by Newport Beach House and their extraordinary staff. This is a top notch venue and you truly feel that they care about your day just as much as you do. We worked with Stephanie and on the day of Courtney and Sam and they all, along with the rest of the staff, made us feel at ease, kept things on track, and were attentive to us and our parents from start to finish. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone - not only is it gorgeous (almost all of our guests took unreal sunset pics and haven't stopped talking about it) - but you get the best of the best dedicating themselves to your night and you leave feeling like all the time, energy and stress of planning was 10000% COMPLETELY WORTH IT! -

Best venue ever
Honestly this venue speaks for itself! I currently live in Chicago but lived in Rhode Island for 3 years and met my husband in Newport. When we got engaged I knew we had to get married in Newport Rhode Island. After doing a ton of research and thinking about all the venues I already knew of I was very torn because I felt like none of the typical venues really reflected my laid back and simple style. My mom found Newport Beach house (when I lived in Newport this was still the old ABC so I had no idea it even became a wedding venue) and I loved photos online so had to see it in person. Once I saw the venue in person my husband and family were blown away and it was pretty clear we had to get married here!!!! It is expensive but for Newport it is more
Affordable then so many other venues and what you are given is so worth it. I loved working with Olivia our event coordinator she was amazing and even Carly that booked us at the venue went above and beyond to work with us to make sure we could get married there and that it made sense for us! The entire staff is so accommodating and amazing I can’t get over it. And on the day of our wedding we had an amazing girl with us all day named Courtney who absolutely crushed it. She would hold my bouquet get me and my husband drinks get anything for our family
Or bridal party she really took care of everything so that we could enjoy our day and feel completely stress free!!!! My favorite part of the venue though was the epic sunset that took place right after cocktail hour. The entire wedding was hanging out on the upper deck enjoying the beautiful view and they were blown away. You seriously cannot go wrong with the Newport Beach house ! -

My husband and I were SO happy with our decision to have our wedding at the Newport Beach House! From the second we walked in, we knew it was the perfect venue for us. We loved the clean and laid-back look of the venue, but it still had the sense of elegance and style that we were looking for. I wanted to have an outdoor ceremony with an indoor reception (more on that later) and the best part of the NBH is that the rain plan for the outdoor ceremony was just as beautiful as the outdoor option. I knew I'd be happy with the setup no matter what the weather was. Also, we wanted our guests to feel relaxed and to feel like they could really let their hair down, and I can definitely say, mission accomplished! From beginning to end, our day could not have been more perfect - but first, let's start with all the prep that went into it. Ashly, our coordinator, was the MVP!! She was so responsive, organized, friendly, fun to work with...and did a great job dealing with my neurotic requests on timelines and what one might see as "small details." She is also great at organizing large groups and dealing with family members. In the lead-up to the day and during the entire event, I knew we were in the best hands. The venue staff and bridal attendant were fabulous too. On the day of the wedding, it absolutely poured - there was a foot and a half of water in the street, flooding (not in the venue!), etc. Of course, this put a damper (pun intended!) on our outdoor ceremony, outdoor pictures, and outdoor cocktail hour. Ashly and the rest of the NBH staff had the whole thing under control, with the rain plans ready to go for each component. We ended up having the ceremony inside overlooking the ocean, and it was completely gorgeous. Many of our guests didn't even realize that the ceremony was supposed to have been outside. We were able to take photos inside in the bar area, and they came out beautifully. It finally stopped raining while the ceremony was happening, so we ended up opening the deck area and having an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour. My husband and I were even able to take some photos on the beach, which came out so beautifully because nobody else was on the sand! It really worked out perfectly, and I wasn't stressed about the weather at all because I knew we had a great rain plan that the staff would execute flawlessly. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all looked great, and I didn't notice at all as the staff transitioned the spaces from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. As the night went on, Ashly and our bridal attendant were so attentive and supportive, and really made sure that everything was going smoothly behind the scenes and that everyone was having a great time. I seriously cannot say enough good things about the NBH - if you have your wedding here, it will be money well spent! P.S. I saw some negative reviews from 2016, but I didn't experience any of that - they must have changed staff or something since then. You will definitely be in good hands! -

Our tasting was good, but the food the day of the wedding exceeded our expectations. We received so many compliments.
Julianna, our wedding planner and Ashley, our day of coordinator was so sweet and helpful. They made everything so enjoyable and pleasant.

Our bridal attendant Mary walked all the way down the end of the beach to bring us beverages while we were taking pictures. She made sure we were taken care of all night. The food was out of this world delicious (still getting compliments from guests!). The setting and the view... unbelievably gorgeous. Big open floor to ceiling windows that over looks mansions / cliff walk / beach / ocean. The deck is the perfect place to take it all in. The flooring, ceiling, glass light fixtures, even the bridal suite and bathrooms were beautiful!
You can't go wrong choosing Newport Beach House (or any Longwood space).

Our wedding at Newport Beach House was everything we had hoped for. We were delayed multiple times due to Covid and NBH worked with us to move our dates with ease. They answered all of our questions, worked with our vendors, and thought of all the details to ensure our wedding day we only had to think about having fun.
The staff and team did an amazing job and all of our guests had a great time. Most told us it was the best wedding they have been to. Thanks Newport Beach House for a memorable evening! -

Beautiful and professional wedding venue!
We hosted our wedding ceremony, reception, and after-party at the Newport Beach House on June 10, 2023. Our ceremony and reception were in the Surfside room, and our after-party was in the Oyster Lounge. The ceremony was beautiful. Our florist and DJ were able to coordinate with the venue seamlessly in setting up our ceremony, without any input needed from us. The reception was very fun. The food was excellent, exceeding our expectations. The bartenders were good-natured. Again, the DJ and florist were able to set up the sound system and all of the tables / centerpieces perfectly without our input. All throughout the night, Daria, our Event Specialist, was a steady hand behind the wheel, always making sure we were comfortable and informed. The after-party in the Oyster Lounge was also great! Can't recommend the waffle bar enough - all the guests partook. To top it off, at the end of the night, Jess, the onsite manager, generously helped us pack up our decor items into our car.
A special shout-out to Daria, who was extremely helpful and professional during the planning process. She made sure that everything was taken care of and no details were overlooked. She was also very responsive and very thorough in addressing all of our questions and concerns. -

Newport Beach House was an absolute dream especially since we had such nice weather for our ceremony. I can’t say enough great things about the food and venue space. Truly beautiful setting. Our wedding coordinator was also easily one of the best parts about our day. Ardriana was professional, responsive, smart, and a dream to work with.
You do need somewhat deeper pockets to get married at this space, but for us it was totally worth it. The other note I’ll make was that we had to rearrange due to COVID, and they were good at accommodating and being understanding of this situation. -

We had our wedding here this past Saturday- and I could not say enough about the staff. The entire night felt like it went by in 60 seconds- but Olivia was a pleasure to work with the entire time, and was extremely responsive. She also answered all my questions via call and email leading up to the night. She took charge in the rehearsal which was great and got it done as quick as we could. Courtney the bridal attendant was also fantastic - made sure I had a drink in my hand at all times (love you for that) and was such a warm soul.
You can tell Longwood has it down- and that was really comforting for me as I planned my entire wedding basically over the internet had never being to RI before. My one suggestion would be to allow weddings to bring in their own late night food- I know a lot of places don't let you bring stuff in, but we would have liked to do something more substantial than passed flatbread.
Either way-fantastic experience! Every vendor we had was familiar with Longwood and it made things so easy for me. I definitely recommend! -

Nice venue but poor delivery. Unfortunately we had our event planner leave in the middle of the planning stages and provided a new planner. Nice but seemed like this was her first big event. We spent at least $100000 on this event but they did not deliver. Many issues were brought up but in particular the meal and desserts were not brought out in a timely fashion. It was a buffet but staff did not not replenish or kept track and we found out after the event that several guest did not eat because they thought they ran out of food. Now the food was eventually brought out but no one knew it and staff did not notify anyone so there was food left over. Desserts were also forgotten. We used an outside vendor for dessert but you were required to purchase one dessert from them which was never brought out till it was mentioned toward end of evening. Again there are were other small details which we will not go into. The staff itself was helpful and friendly but poorly run and coordinated.
Again nice location but would not recommend till those in charge improve. We did register our concerns but absolutely no response -

Be careful as this facility is excellent at responding when you are scheduling an event but not so much if a Global Pandemic arises and you need to reschedule.
Our daughter’s wedding was scheduled for a Friday evening in Newport RI at the Newport Beach House @ 3 Aquidneck Avenue in Middletown, RI 02842 on 12/18/20.
This is a Longwood Ventures & Destinations property.
In light of COVID 19 and the RI.gov website saying “Social gatherings: Social gatherings can be no larger than 25 people indoors or 50 people outdoors. For social gatherings like weddings where there is a licensed caterer involved (which makes the setting more like a restaurant) gatherings can be as large as 50 people indoors or up to 100 people outdoors.” We made the difficult decision to move the event to 12/17/21.
Well the Newport Beach House was willing to do that and move my deposit to the new date only if I agreed to a 33% increases in the “guaranteed minimum” from $15,000 to $20,000!
So I called our “Sales Contact” Ms. Parker that we worked with in December of 2019 on June 8th to reschedule the event. No call back which was in stark contrast to the response times prior to my sending a $5,000 deposit…
I left another message and emailed on June 9th. Again, no response.
On June 11th I called and a receptionist gave me the name and email of the “Director of Events”, Ms. German who I called and emailed that day. She did respond that she was not available until 6/15.
I thought this may be easy as we are experiencing a horrific Pandemic and gatherings of over 50 people are currently against RI law so I emailed Ms. German on 6/12 asking for the new date of 12/17/21 and did not receive an email back.
I called her on 6/15 and left another message and finally received a call back on 6/16. It was clear the she did not want to postpone the event and said she would do so only if I agreed to increase the “Event Minimum” by 33% from $15,000 to $20,000!
If you are thinking of booking an event at the Newport Beach House in Middletown, RI, a Longwood Ventures & Destinations property please be aware the their “Event Minimum” does NOT include taxes (understandable) or their 22% “Administrative Charge” (NOT understandable).
Mind you the agreed upon total was $21,710.76 before the upcharges for linens.
We are empathetic that the Newport Beach House and Longwood Ventures & Destinations is experiencing challenges during COVID 19 as we drive by their often on our way to 2nd beach and the parking lot sits empty. Most everyone is experiencing financial inconveniences.
However, the fact remains that we do not have any way of knowing what things will be like in 5 short months. This is our daughter’s wedding and currently her guest list of 85 is illegal in RI.
Sure it may be legal in December OR maybe it won’t. We need to rebook the band, cake, hotels etc. etc. and EVERYONE else understood and accepted the new date at the agreed upon prices, Except the Newport Beach House and Longwood Ventures & Destinations.
I even agreed to increase the “Guaranteed Minimum” to $17,500 and meet Ms. German half way and that offer was not accepted.
I truly feel held hostage. They have my deposit and we only want to move the date. We do not want to cancel but a 33% increase is not acceptable.
Not sure how this will turn out but be aware that while the facility is beautiful their COVID 19 policies are not. Think twice before booking here.
