We cannot recommend this venue enough! The space is absolutely beautiful and cozy—perfect for the intimate, romantic atmosphere we envisioned. The ceremony area is gorgeous and perfectly shaded, making it comfortable and stunning for our special moment.
Rehearsal was included, and we had our rehearsal dinner there right after practice—it was amazing and made the whole weekend feel seamless and special. Our day-of coordinators, Jamie and Jordan, were incredible—super organized, friendly, and attentive to every detail, helping the day run flawlessly.
From the very start, Matt and Jess went above and beyond to make our wedding day unforgettable.
Matt, who also catered our wedding, prepared the most incredible food—our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was! Every dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Truly the best wedding food we’ve ever had.
Jess was our florist and designer, and she absolutely nailed our vision. The florals were stunning—elegant, colorful, and so thoughtfully arranged. She made the entire space feel magical.
The groom’s room was perfect for all the guys to get ready and hang out—it had a pool table and a big TV, creating a relaxed, fun vibe before the ceremony. One of the things that meant the world to us was that they allowed our dog to be part of our wedding. It made the day even more special, and we’re so grateful they were so accommodating!
Every member of the staff was kind, helpful, and professional. A special shoutout to Tori, our bartender—she was amazing! Friendly, efficient, and made sure everyone had a great time.
If you're looking for a beautiful, welcoming venue run by people who genuinely care about your day, this is the one. Matt and Jess are a dream team, and we’re so thankful to them for making our wedding truly perfect.

Glad our daughter and son-in-law chose to host their wedding at Newcastle Wedding Gardens! The grounds and wedding ceremony site are absolutely spectacular. The barn reception venue is perfect and can be set up to accommodate a variety of needs.
Throughout the reception we were getting over the top positive reactions from our friends about the food, decor, service and ambience.
Newcastle Wedding Gardens is also an excellent value! They prepare and serve the food, decorate the venue, provide flowers, and wedding coordinator- all in house. They also have a reliable vendor list for any services they do not provided themselves.

If I could give more stars, I would. Matt, Jess, and the whole team at Newcastle were such amazing people to work with. We live out of state, but I'm from Sacramento area, and we wanted to look for a venue that had as many things included on-site, like catering, decorations, florals, table settings/linens/set-up and breakdown, bartenders, coordinators, etc. This place hit all the marks and made planning a breeze. They were always available whenever we had questions, and were just amazing! Another highlight was the food. Matt grows produce in the gardens on-site, so everything is just so fresh. We hosted our rehearsal dinner at the venue as well, and both menus we chose were nothing short of extraordinary, and our guests were raving about the food as well. That's another reason why we chose the venue; we wanted to make sure our guests were taken care of, and people remember how the food was at weddings. Overall, it was just the perfect venue for us, with the gardens for the ceremony and the barn for reception. If we could get married all over again here, we would do it in a heartbeat. I can't recommend this place enough! -

We had an absolutely perfect wedding at this venue! Matt the owner/chef created the greatest menu that our guests absolutely raved about! Jamie, our day of coordinator, was a perfect dream and made sure every minor detail was attended to. The venue was beautifully kept and accommodated all of our vendors and guests just wonderfully. If we could do it all over again, we would choose Newcastle Gardens every time! Thank you Matt and team for all of your hard work! -

We absolutely loved having our wedding at Newcastle Wedding Gardens! Matt, Jordan, and the entire Newcastle crew were fantastic, professional, and made our special day perfect! We chose them for their rustic charm, flexibility, and fantastic food (done by Matt himself). Matt and Jordan were very responsive and worked with us to make sure all our details were finalized, helping us relax the week of the wedding. They were also great about letting us choose our vendors and gave great recommendations as needed.
We got married in early October, and the weather was perfect (minus the slightly smokey skies). The venue has great spots for photographs and we're so happy with how our pictures turned out. Check out the tagged pictures on their Instagram page for some inspiration and photo location ideas! -

Amazing venue and people!
I can’t say enough about this venue and the owners. I chose this venue based on several factors and a huge one for me was that the owners Matt and Jessica made everything so easy. As a full time working mom of two trying to plan a wedding…I needed a “one stop shop”. Matt is a caterer and makes amazing food, Jessica does amazing floral arrangements and Heather (the wedding coordinator) listens to every little detail. Our wedding was perfect. The decore was so beautiful and in combination with a phenomenal DJ and great bartenders. Nobody wanted to leave!! I’ve never been to a wedding where the dance floor is still packed and the night ends with a group hug! Hahaha! What a magical day and night for us! Thank you to the dream team!! ♥️ -

I cannot imagine a more perfect day. Planning a wedding from the other side of the country is difficult, planning it during COVID is nearly impossible, but Matt, Heather, and the rest of the team were somehow able to make it more amazing than I could have imagined.
Let's start with Matt. He is the most genuinely kind, charismatic, laid-back, flexible, PHENOMENAL cook and vendor owner you could imagine. When we had to postpone our original wedding due to peak COVID, he made this the smoothest process ever. He was responsive to all our needs, especially as things kept changing as we got close to the rescheduled wedding. His food can literally not be beat. So many people came up to us at the wedding raving about the food and I got individual texts later. He even made a special effort to have a cookie/brownie bar as I'm not a cake person. His venue is beautiful and I'm so happy we chose him and his team.
Next up is Heather. She is the the calmest, most organized, efficient, and wonderful wedding coordinator. She took every stressful thing in stride and was able to figure it out/take it off my plate drastically reducing my overall wedding stress. She too, was incredibly responsive and was integral to allowing our wedding to go off without a hitch.
Overall, I feel so lucky to have found this crew to take our vision of a wedding day and make it even more beautiful and perfect than expected. Thank you so much and we would recommend you all to anyone! -

This Venue was not only Absolutely Gorgeous but the staff was Amazing as well! The Food was Perfect, great taste as well as presentation. From the beginning to the end the staff was so helpful. Between the room full of goodies to the men's room, the Venue was perfect for us and our guests. Everyone had a blast at the wedding. People have told me this was the best Wedding they have went to, and I have to thank Matt and Heather for everything they did to ensure that happened. -

My daughter got married on May 11th. The weather was wonderful and the garden was beautiful! The coordinator that comes with the package was so helpful and decorated the venue for us.
The reception was held in the red horse barn. We had elegant tables with lanterns and candles.

Johanna Sent on 05/20/2018My son had his wedding at Newcastle Wedding Gardens and Red Horse Barn (NWG) in April 2018 and we were blown away by the overall experience. The venue itself was exactly what we were looking for when considering atmosphere, scenery, and overall experience. Matt Mermod, the owner of NWG, was thoughtful and helpful with every operational detail and upon our early arrival, the grounds and reception barn were beautifully prepared. The entire property was blown off, the lawn was trimmed and mowed, and the ceremony area was ready with music playing. Additionally, the reception barn had been professionally cleaned leaving no evidence of the prior event held the day before, and Matt was there waiting for us and ready to assist with any last minute requests. Also waiting was Jordan Brushia, the wedding coordinator included with the venue.
What can we say about Jordan other than she provided the most wonderful wedding day experience ever! First, Jordan is a coordinator for the venue and not a wedding planner. Jordan’s role was to coordinate everything involved on the day of the wedding. She managed every component, including the loading-in and loading-out of items, tweaking last minute details, wedding timeline, reception floorplan, rehearsal management, wedding day vendor management and so much more. Jordan is extremely organized and detail-oriented. The care she provided the guests and both the bride and groom throughout the day was thoughtful and surprising. She is the ultimate reason why our guests and we look back on that day and say “That was the best and most AMAZING day ever!”
In addition to TEAM Matt and Jordan, NWG provides a list of hand-selected vendors which are exclusive to their venue and which we were required to use. We were unsure about this at first. However, the vendor selection proved to make this one of the best weddings our guests, or we have had to pleasure of being apart of. The day was perfect and went off without one hiccup. -

Staci Sent on 06/23/2016Not only is this venue absolutely gorgeous but Georgia has partnered with some of the best vendors in the business! She works with Jackson Catering which created such amazing food that we hired them for both the wedding and rehearsal dinner. She also works with O'Shay's florist who created gorgeous arrangements, bouquets and boutonnieres for our wedding. Our DJ, TJ Jurado-Song Man Entertainment, was professional, well organized and fun. The planning was simple and straightforward. The day of wedding staff was professional, readily available and always a step ahead of us ensuring that everyone had a fabulous time! The venue is so beautiful that my mother cried the first time she saw it. The setup of the venue is perfect! The day of our wedding there was a freak heat wave yet the ceremony site is so well shaded that our guests remained comfortable throughout the ceremony. The barn is perfectly setup to ensure all guests feel included and have a great view of the festivities. Overall the venue is gorgeous and easy for everyone to get around which was important to us since we had a number of guests in their 80s and 90s. We truly could not have picked a more beautiful venue or exceptional group of people to work with. The day ran smoothly and was everything we could have dreamed of and more! -

Melanie Sent on 04/13/2015The same feeling I got when I found my dress is the same feeling I got when I took the tour of the grounds at Newcastle Wedding Gardens! I'm not sure if that's a normal feeling for your venue and reception location, but I went with it and we could be happier! I was out of country for the 6 months leading up to our wedding but Georgia made that easy for me! She helped me put a theme together (because I had no clue what I was really going for). The day of our wedding was perfect! All the flowers had bloomed, the trees were green, and it couldn't have been decorated more perfect for the "look" I was going for! The food was AMAZING! All the venders we used were through Georgia's recommendation and they were all perfect! Thank you very much NCWG, I still get chills thinking about our big day! -

Shannon Sent on 07/15/2012Newcastle Wedding Gardens was the first place I checked out and after I did I didnt feel the need to go anywhere else. I knew I wanted to get married there. The gardens are beautiful and the perfect setting for an outside ceremony. I never thought Id say I was getting married in a Barn but the Barn there is amazing. I have received so many compliments on the place and the food. Georgia and her crew do an amazing job. I would highly recommend checking it out! -

I rarely saw her, but things just happened exactly when they were supposed to. She is phenomenal, just trust her. She knows what she's doing! -

Stacia Sent on 05/04/2008I used this site for ceremomy only and they were very accomodating. Things ran very smooth, even with the ceremony music. My musician cancelled the day before as i was heading to the rehearsal, but they said no problem and we picked out music right before the rehearsal and it was wonderful. Georgia has tons of experience and she knows how to do a job well done.
