    Had an amazing wedding reception. Richard was the best event manager I have seen hands down. The venue was perfect and the staff was perfect to host. Could not be any more perfect!

    I would like to say this hotel was perfect for our wedding. Every step of the way I was in constant communication with their event manger Jessica Henriquez. She was very responsive. I had so many questions weekly and even daily as the wedding day got closer. She was always so pleasant and willing to accommodate our every need. We truly felt like King & Queen that day! The ball room is gorgeous and the food was amazing! Everything you receive in the package was on point and matched the price. The hotel staff was very pleasant from the day we booked to the day we said I do. Perfect location because you can literally hop on the plane to your honeymoon the next morning because the hotel is on airport premises! I cannot stress enough how elegant the hotel looks. I am glad we took our time and looked at plenty of hotels because this was a stellar choice. Having the hotel room to get ready in, breakfast, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, food, alcohol, cake, plus more all in the package was the best thing we could have ever done! So simple and convenient! The service, organization, & elegance makes me want to relive this day over and over again! We couldn't get enough of it!     AMAZING! We want to open by telling everyone how our wedding experience at this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way! You will not find service of this quality at your run of the mill wedding hall. We had done our research and found that Marriott's prices were comparable to most of the wedding venues in the northern NJ area, however, no one had a team like Amy Glamann and Rich Mortellaro. After meeting with them and discussing the possibliities for our wedding, we were hooked! They put together a package for us that included unique, personalized details which were creative, fun, elegant and classy. Throughout the entire experience Amy, Rich, and Joe Benitich (AV) responded to every email and phone call within hours, were always positive and flexible and gave us honest answers and opinions. They made planning a wedding easy and fun, and were always ready with answers and recommendations when we needed them. The result was better than we could ever have imagined! The entire wedding was executed perfectly from start to finish. Every last detail was considered, and everything from the ceremony to the cocktail hour to the reception tied together so that the theme we chose was reflected in a fun and elegant way. Our guests commented about how amazing the amount of detail was. We received many comments on the service our guests received during the cocktail hour and reception; glasses were never empty and plates were always full. The staff were always smiling, friendly and attentive, which the guests noticed and appreciated. When we were shown into the ballroom for the first time that evening, the view was breathtaking!The lighting in the ball room was better than anything we had seen before; it had a lounge-like effect that gave the room a romantic feel. The tables were set beautifully to showcase our centerpieces and they had set up lounge tables with seating near the bars - something else we had never seen before and absolutely loved! We chose to have filet mignon and stuffed shrimp for dinner. The presentation was beautiful, the food was hot, and most importantly, it was delicious! The shrimp was fresh, and the steak was so juicy and tender we cut it with butter knives!! Our guests could not believe how amazing the food was! Our viennese dessert tables had a little bit of everything sweet to satisfy everyone - it was the perfect ending to a fabulous meal!
    You will not find a more talented, creative, professional (and fun!) team than Amy, Rich and Joe. We highly recommend having your big event at the Newark Airport Marriott!!

    Amy and Ida were the best. They worked with us, offered suggestions and did what they said they would do. On the day of the reception, we had nothing to do. Ida took care of everything.
    This is the first time in a long time that what was promised was delivered. I can't thank them enough.

    Everyone at the Marriott went above and beyond to make or day perfect!! From the cocktail hour to the cake, everything was amazing! Definitely a great place for a reception!!

    We hosted our wedding reception at the Marriott Hotel which was nothing short of FABULOUS!!
    On our first visit ,we met with Amy Glamann who was very responsive to every question and concern we had about hosting our event at the Marriott.We did our research and visited a number of recommended venues by the Jersey City waterfront,but were always drawn to the Marriott hospitality and professionalism and knew this was going to be perfect.
    Ida Kraner took over as our event manager ,and the wonderful team quickly helped us put together our itinerary.
    We wanted our food to be a good blend of American and Indian and they immediately offered to tie up with Moghul Catering for the Indian part.Its almost like they had a solution to everything.
    Amy and Ida were very accomodating,and contacted all our vendors directly for insurance,set up and other details ,which really took the stress out of us,since we planned our wedding in a relatively short time frame of two months.Not to forget accomodating a new table at the last minute and still retaining the size of the dance floor.
    Come wedding day, the bridal party was well taken care of in a separate room, stocked with cocktail hour appetizers and our signature drink which was excellent.
    The Marriott cocktail hour room is beautiful and tastefully decorated.The ballroom is splendid and was perfect for our 150 guests.
    Our guests were amazed at the quality and amount of food that was served. Everything was fresh and prepared with such an attention to detail. The chocolate covered strawberries served with the wedding cake were simply the best.
    Our Maitre'D John deserves a special mention.He was extremeley helpful throughout the evening.
    All in all , a wonderful experience ,we definitely give the Marriott at Newark Liberty an A+++

    I have to say that my experience with the Newark Airport Marriot exceeded my expectations. My wedding was absolutely everything I hoped it would be. My first meeting was with Amy, the Senior Catering Sales Executive, who was absolutely wonderful, she understood exactly what my vision was from the start. She was very accomodating to our needs, very professional but at the same time she was down to earth, sweet, and seemed to really care about making our day special and memorable. Ida, our wedding coordinator was also absolutely the sweetest and the best. My family was very impressed on how involved she was during that evening, always making sure everything was running smoothly. Between the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, we had the best 6 continuous hours. The food was absolutely delicious, all my guests had extremely positive feedback, the rooms looked beautiful and the overall cost I thought was reasonable. We went to four different hotels aside from the Newark Marriott and not one was able to match the attentiveness, the professionalism, the overall service and cost that we received from the Newark Airport Marriot and their staff. I also have to mention John, the bellhop that was there the evening we went for rehearsal and on the wedding day. He was the nicest man ever, very helpful when we dropped of our things for the wedding and was very nice to our guests when he worked the coat check. I really can't stop saying the many positives of our experience with this venue.

    My experience with the Newark Marriott was a thousand times better than I ever expected. When my fiance and I first met with Amy, she made us feel so welcomed and extremely comfortable, making our decision such an easy one when it came to deciding on our venue. She was extremely attentive and noted every tiny detail about our wedding, making every possible effort to make sure we were happy and had no regrets about our decision.

    After booking our wedding with Amy, Eliana, the event manager, took over and we couldn't have asked for someone better to coordinate all of our wedding details. Eliana was very professional and extremely detail-oriented. I knew our wedding was in good hands just a few minutes after speaking with her. Our reception was amazing and the ballroom was breathtaking. Eliana and her staff did a phenomenal job with everything...the decor was beautiful and the service was great!

    I highly recommend the Newark Marriott and I especially recommend booking with Amy and planning your wedding day details with Eliana.

    The entire staff was extremely helpful. Anything I needed they were there and made sure I had nothing to worry about. I would recommend them to any future bride looking for a reception venue

    The folks at the Marriott were soooooo professional with us! They waited on us hand and foot and I truly felt like a bride that day! Their food was delicious and the presentation was great! I would definitely be having more events there!

    The Marriott also made our night absolutly perfect. They had everything set up perfectly. The cocktail hour rooms and the ballroom were all set up beautifuly. They all did an amazing job. I had one problem. When everyone was coming in, there were supp to be waiters walking around with purple and silver drinks to be giving out to the guests. And that didnt happen. Thats the only problem I had with Marriott. Besides that, everything was great. My husband also just had a little prob with the size and quaility with the open bar. Everything else was great and beautiful. I would recommend this place to friends of mine. I also would like to say a personal thanks to AMY if it wasnt for AMY I am not sure alot of stuff would have been done. She is amazing. If I called her she always answered and if she didnt then she would be calling me back in 5min. If i emailed her she got back to me in about 2 mins. She was great and I really dont think everything could have been done so great with out. So Amy thank you. Steve and I both really appreciate it.

    Overall, the wedding day was a success! There were just very few setbacks throughout the weddiing process, however, Amy & Nerissa were able to bounce back from those setbacks. Some of those setbacks were:
    1.) the transition between our first wedding coordinator and our current coordinator was not very smooth. There were some confusion about the wedding contract details and having to wait for some time to get answers responded in a timely fashion. However, our concerns were always heard and basically provided us with solutions.
    2.)Having emails responded in a timely fashion was an issue during the last 5-6 weeks of the wedding planning. This cause great stress for me and my husband. Due to our work schedules, we literally had to work until the day before the dress rehearsal and have our plans done one week before the wedding. We depended on timely responses in order to faciltate our own planning and organizing our last-minute tasks. We ultimately spoke with Amy G.(sales) who was amazing at providing very detailed, timely responses as well as an apology for this major inconvenience. It was like having 2 wedding coordinators during the last month of the wedding planning, which was a great relief!
    3.) The dress rehearsal practice didn't match the actual wedding reception. Initially, I was told that both of my parents would be able to walk me down the aisle. I recall asking Nerissa after the practice if there will be enough space for both parents to walk me down, and she said not worry about it. It was only when I started walking in the aisle that all three of us would not fit. My poor parents were stepping on my dress, and I just remember my parents telling me to keep walking. I just wished I had a smoother entrance. For future weddings, please ensure that the aisle is wide enough or inform the bride that their request could not be made. Also when my in-laws walked with the flowergirl, the bow was blocking the aisle's entrance which again caused an awkward entrance. Also the stairs used to get to the stage were not in good shape, so it was requested to put the steps on the sides. So at the last minute, I was told to go up stage from the side. My bridesmaids were not aware of this last minute change, so there was another mini awkward moment. Last ceremony detail was the purple uplights were not on during the ceremony and the lights were not dimmed(well according to the pictures). Basically, more attention to small details would be extremely helpful. Again, the ceremony room was beautiful and just loved it.

    Positive Feedback/Comments:
    1) What you get for the price is AMAZING! Very pleased with the ceremony/reception halls, the staff, having an event coordinator, amazing food & drinks, and AWESOME complimentary bridal suite! We were also surprised to have a 2nd complimentary night (for the dress rehearsal)
    2.)Staff listened to our complaints/concerns and executed solutions that made my husband and I happy.
    3.)Despite being next to an airport..you DON'T hear any planes flying by.
    4.)The locale is beautiful...we got to take pictures by the cherry blossoms, and the inside decor is very contemporary. EXCELLENT pics!
    5.) Our Maitre'D ROCKED! He made sure that we had a smooth entrance and organized line of events throughout the reception. He basically did all of the thinking for us! He also made sure we ate!! We definitelly appreciated that!
    6.)WE had amazing compliments with the cocktail hour. In fact, our bridal party had their own room (w/food & drinks ready for us). That was super nice!
    7.)Loved our reception room...we were impressed to see many staff ensuring that of the decor was placed correctly and beautifully. Again, many, many great compliments!
