I started out choosing a dress from a local boutique in Greensboro, NC, but wasn't 100% sold on the dress. I would occasionally drive past NY Bride Last Look on my way up and down Wendover Ave, and decided one day on my lunch break to stop by. I was greeted by two ladies who told me I could take my time and try on as many dresses as I liked. So that's what I did and ended up finding THE ONE. This was my second marriage so I wanted to have a dress that was nothing like my first one, but also was a bit more on the "GROWN AND SEXY" side. I bought the dress at a discounted price right off the shelf. It was some sizes too big, but they recommended a seamstress to support with alterations. Once the dress was altered, it fit beautifully for the big day. I am glad I went with my gut and stopped by the store that day. -

My mom and I came to look at dresses for the first time back in April 2023! I was blown away by the amazing customer service at New York Bride & Groom of Raleigh, and was even more surprised that I found THE DRESS after only a few hours of trying things on! The alterations process also went very smoothly, and I am so grateful that this is a service NYBG offers in-house! We did have an issue with the veil I ordered - whether due to miscommunication or an error in ordering, I received the veil I wanted but in a shorter length! As soon as I noticed, NYBG wasted no time ordering me the longer veil I originally requested at no additional charge. I was so impressed by how they handled the situation and that they were able to order the correct veil in such a short time frame. Thank to NYBG Raleigh for helping me find my dream dress (and veil!). I felt so beautiful on my wedding day this past March and have you all to thank for it. -

We had the best time finding THE dress at New York Bride and Groom. They offered mimosas while we shopped, their dressing rooms are huge so your whole entourage can have privacy and their selection is unbeatable. There were so many styles to choose from and they even had the dress I was eyeing from Pinterest that ended up being THE ONE! Their prices are competitive, the staff was friendly and helpful, and they do alterations in house. It was such a fun and memorable experience and I would highly recommend giving them a try to find your dream wedding dress! -

We got there right when it opened and felt special right away! Our girl Eliza pulled my perfect dress and the experience was great. Great vibes from every employee, they seem to genuinely LOVE their jobs. I tried on so many and ended up getting one that I never would've picked to try on! Private rooms and my sister helped me change every time which was a special experience. They give you space but step in right away when you need help or advice. -

NY Bride & Groom of Raleigh were great. They helped me narrow down what I wanted in my dress, and were able to get it in relatively quickly despite the surge in weddings (mid 2021). I did my alterations with their alterations team and they came out really well. Alterations cost about $550 to have the bodice taken in, straps shortened, hemline taken up slightly, and 5 pt bustle added (for reference my dress did not have any beading or lace). Overall, I enjoyed the experience! -

I came in for a trunk show and left with the dress of my dreams! They have tons of dresses to choose from and they are all perfectly organized. The individuals working there are also super friendly and helpful. After trying on about 10 dresses they helped me narrow it down to 3 that I was able to model in the larger 360 mirror. Even with COVID, my dress came in plenty of time. I would recommend this store to any brides to be looking for their dream dress at an affordable price. -

I found my dream wedding dress at New York Bridge & Groom for only $199! At the time, they had an entire section of the store that was $500 dresses or less. If you had a larger budget, then the dress options were unlimited. The staff was extremely helpful and patient in assisting me in finding the perfect dress! They really understood my style and I didn't feel rushed or pressured with any decision. Luckily, I found the exact dress I was looking for that was priced under $200! I was very happy with my experience here and I would recommend anyone to this shop! -

This bridal boutique has tons of gowns to choose from which can be extremely overwhelming especially when you aren’t sure what type of dress you want. The staff all pitched in to help me find my perfect dress! They did just that. They ordered my dress, called when it came in, and did the alterations in house. Words can't describe how special this place is. From the moment you walk in the door, it is a totally different experience than any other Bridal Shop in the Triangle. You don't need an appointment, you can just walk right in. You get to wander the store and touch and take any dress off the rack to try on. You get to put the dresses on yourself, you do not have to have someone put the dress on you, though if you prefer that, they will definitely help you put it on. The atmosphere is relaxed, comfortable, and welcoming. The staff were so wonderful and kind, and helpful with finding the right dress for me. I actually ended up buying two wedding dresses here, as well as my veil and a belt. I also had all my alterations done there, and they handled the professional cleaning of both my dresses after the wedding. My husband got his suit here as well! They truly are a one stop shop and I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else. NYB&G is the only place you need to go for your bridal attire needs! -

New York Bride & Groom is absolutely the best bridal shop around. I myself worked in bridal sales for approx 6 years before moving to NC, so when it came my time to shop for my dream dress, I will definitely say I had high expectations. Furthermore, as a plus-size bride I knew that my shopping adventure would not be an easy one.
I visited New York Bride & Groom first simply because of their close location to me. Despite reading on their site that they accommodated plus-sizes, I was still worried. However, the second I stepped into the store I felt at ease, and instead of expecting the worst, immediately knew that the process would be fun!
The store was organized in such a way that I didn't have to be veered off to a remote corner of the store, simply because of my size limitations. This was a huge plus for me. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The dressing rooms were large and high-end.
In addition to my high expectations and size limitations, I also was getting married in 3 months (my now-husband is in the military and an upcoming deployment moved up our timeline). The sales team not only turned me towards the dresses that I could take home that day - they actually recommended to me the dress that I chose! The size was absolutely perfect (no alterations needed!) and the design was incredibly flattering. What's even more was the price was incredible (due to an off-the-rack sale).
I would absolutely recommend this shop (and already have to a bride that bought her dress here last weekend)!
Tldr; The store is amazing and accommodated my tight budget, size limitations, short timeline, and high expectations. Don't buy anywhere else! -

Some people spend entire days in this store and I can see why. What a dream to have the freedom to look around as you wish and take your time. I really appreciated the easy going sales team. Everyone was very kind and helpful. I found my dream dress on their sample rack and was able to have it altered 3 sizes smaller to fit me. It was the exact designer and style I wanted and felt so meant to be. Thank you for a wonderful experience! -

I could rave all day about NYB&G of Raleigh! I started wedding dress shopping during a weekend in October 2018 with a few of my closest family/friends and to highlight the experience I had - no appointments necessary, ALL of the staff were more than willing to help with anything (bring dresses, find new ones based on your likes/dislikes, tell you how beautiful you look and to help you get in and out of your dress), the options were endless, and you can't beat the price!
When I initially went began to start the Wedding dress search, I made an appointment with David's Bridal of Raleigh (not really knowing about NYB&G yet), but the pre-try on experience with David's was awful... to the point that they cancelled appointments and had poor customer service - then I came across NYB&G and they literally were God-send! One appointment at David's got cancelled, while NYB&G welcomed me with open arms and enough attention that I felt as though I was the only bride in the store! I can't rave enough about my experience and my dress was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!
If you are looking for a bridal gown that is amazing quality, beautiful, great staff and affordable pricing - go to New York Bride and Groom of Raleigh!! -

New York Bride and Groom of Raleigh was nothing short of amazing. I feel so bad that I cannot remember the name of the girl who helped me, but she was absolutely fantastic. Because of her, I only tried on about 5 dresses and found the perfect one (at a reasonable price too)! Their selection is AMAZING too! I love how there are no appointments, and the environment is so casual and fun. My bridesmaids and I had a ball, and it was never stressful. I got so many compliments on my dress and I know it is all because of their awesome team. I could not recommend them enough! -

Great place for plus size brides and those seeking unique dresses or custom alterations!!!
As a plus size bride (22 dress size) I originally had a hard time finding shops that would stock my size sample dress or be willing to order them. NWBG was recommended to me by a small bridal shop I had been in touch with and I could not be more grateful for their recommendation. Not only does NWBG have the absolute largest inventory of designers, styles and sizes I found in the area but their staff was so helpful and their fitting rooms were comfortable and gorgeous. This place was everything a girl needs to find her dress, whether it be a stock dress from online or something more unique they had it all right there for you to try. The staff didn't even blink when I told them I'd need at least a size 20 for try ons and they were able to provide me whole lines of dresses in my size and desired style. After I made my dress purchase the staff continued to be attentive and interested in me as a bride, setting up on site alterations and helping me track down some fabric for straps I wanted to add. While I was still waiting for my dress to come in, the staff were kind enough to pull out a sample of my dress for my my mom (who lives out of state and wasn't able to come down and go dress shopping with me), to see it on me during one of her visits. Once the dress arrived I was again overwhelmed by the well priced and attentive help I received in alterations. In addition to adding small off the shoulder straps my dress also needed minor adjustments around the bust to ensure a good fit and the staff were so helpful and timely to get these done. I was so pleased with how my dress purchase and alterations went with this location I even brought my dress back to them the Monday after the wedding for dry cleaning and preservation (another great price)! Cannot recommend this specific store and alterations department enough - do not be fooled by the unwelcoming shopping complex the store is located in this place is a hidden gem and is a true dress palace on the inside! -

I went to over 5 bridal shops in search of the perfect dress and ultimately purchased it from New York Bride and Groom of Raleigh. Although they don’t take appointments, I never waited when I went in (several times) to try on dresses, or when going to look at accessories. With their huge selection of dresses, they had all of my favorites from other bridal salons in stock, so I could compare them side by side. I actually first purchased a dress there that I realized later I did not really love (I think I was just burnt out looking at so many dresses that week, and confused by the many opinions of my different family members). I went back to the store the next day and they quickly helped me exchange the dress for one I did absolutely love with no fee (they did have to check with the designer, who was okay with it). I also wanted lace added to the train of the dress and the staff helped me find a pattern and color that matched perfectly.
The alterations department was wonderful as well. I had to reschedule my appointments several times due to a somewhat unpredictable work schedule and they were flexible. They did a fantastic job with adding the lace- it looked like it was original to the dress- as well as fitting the dress exactly to my body. The bustle came out beautifully as well and the staff helped take a video of how to do it, which was essential on my wedding day when my mom and coordinator were trying to get the dress butled quickly in low lighting. The timeline for the dress coming in, getting altered, and getting pressed was all right on track. I felt the prices were reasonable for the quality they offer, and comparable to other nice bridal shops in the area. -

I had initially set up appointments at a few other smaller boutiques because I wanted a really intimate setting. However I can now say that after two boutiques the third time was a charm!! Coming to NY Bride & Groom was the best decision I could have made for this process.
It honestly was intimate.. I never felt pressured to buy anything or make any commitment and the ladies who work here were so helpful! It was such a pleasant experience. However I do think if I would have come here first, before going to any boutiques I would have felt very overwhelmed. After trying on different styles at other places and having narrowed down my specific dress style it was easier for me to pick through their showcase.
We were so happy with NY Bride and Groom that my (now) husband even decided to get his and all the groomsmen's tux rentals though them! -

I highly recommend going here to shop for your wedding dress! Everyone I met was very professional and friendly and not pushy at all. The selection of dresses is huge, therefore I was able to find my perfect dress there. It did take me two trips but I didn’t feel pressure from the staff, so I was very comfortable with coming back. The alterations were also very well done and the team was also very professional there. The guys were even able to get there ties and bowtie there! I went to 2 previous stores before I went to New York Bride & Groom of Raleigh. I wish I would have to New York Bride & Groom first. I went on a Monday when there was really no one else in the store so I had my pick of the dresses. The dress I selected was the second I tried on and I knew immediately it was the one. I was pleasantly surprised by the interior of the store. It does not look as nice as it is inside. They had the best selection of dresses from any store I went to. The large dress selection made it very easy to find the one I was looking for. They also had reasonable prices. The staff was very friendly and helpful from the time I first purchased the dress to every fitting and my final appointment. The alterations were done correctly the first time and I didnt need to have alot done to my dress. My whole experience with New York Bride & Groom was a pleasant one. I would highly recommend using this bridal shop for your wedding dress purchase. -

This is where I found my gown after trying several stores in the area including places like David's Bridal and smaller boutiques, too. I found exactly what I wanted with the help of their expert staff and also got my dress altered there. It took a couple of fittings to get it just right, but their alterations department is fantastic. Don't let the shopping center it's located in fool you - this shop is a must-see! -

The place doesn't look like much from outside in a strip mall, but I was floored when I walked in (no appointment needed!). The place is beautiful, with TONS of reasonably priced dresses to choose from. The fitting rooms are wonderful - spacious with chairs and a half-wall and floor-length mirror (MUCH better than my David's Bridal tight closet-like fitting room). Staff pretty much leave you to pull dresses and try-on, but are available to help. Jennifer was so helpful, and was there from choosing the dress to overseeing the alterations to helping me put my dress on at my last fitting. They had great suggestions and advice to offer, which eased my mind. They were able to take my mother's veil and make a few changes to transform it into something that worked with my dress. I loved my experience with New York Bride & Groom! -

The entire salon is very laid back and the environment makes you feel welcomed! I walked in without an appointment and immediately brought back to one of their many HUGE dressing rooms. The dressing rooms were fit for a queen with couches and chairs for your family/friends. The staff I had interaction with were AMAZING! I was helped by Erin and Corrine. Both of these ladies were very supportive and helped me get into my dress, clip and pin when necessary. The clipping and pinning helped get a full picture of what the dresses would look like when altered. This bridal shop had a wide selection of designers, styles, colors and sizes. Needless to say I SAID YES TO THE DRESS here and now I can't wait until I get the dress! -

NYBG of Raleigh provided a wonderful wedding dress shopping and alterations experience! They have a HUGE selection of dresses and designers to pick from, and the staff was great to accommodate my shopping group on a busy summer Saturday. I also used NYBG alterations for the dress that I found there, and I was SO happy with the end results! My dress required hemming, a bustle for a very long train, straps shortened and brought in, waist brought in, and cups added. I was a little worried at first since the dress had a lot of beading and delicate lace in all of those areas (with crepe for the rest of the dress), but my seamstress (Nadia) did an absolutely amazing job. I was a bit pricey, but she clearly knew what she was doing, and I left my first fitting appointment feeling confident that she would do a good job. And she did an excellent job! Overall it was great working with this store and their entire team :) -

So glad I went with them, I had so many compliments and loved how it ended up looking! I was on a short timeframe (6 months) and it was tight to get the dress and veil in time but they worked with me and were able to do it! Definitely start dress shopping as much in advance as possible as some dresses/veils take 6 months to a year to order in! -

I went to NYBG on my first trip dress shopping and walked away with 2 dresses that I absolutely loved. We spent several hours trying on dresses and my consultant was very helpful and did not rush us. I got one ball gown and one fitted dress with lace and was able to get the alterations I needed there. My only issue was that the hours that the alterations department was open did not work best for my schedule and I was always jumping through hoops to make timing work. Hours do not work well for people who work Mon-Friday 8-5, and then have to drive out that way. They are only open later on certain evenings and not the weekends, so it made it difficult. -

It was nice being able to look through the dresses & pick out what I wanted to try on. There was a sales consultant available to help me try on the dresses & help pull more of what I was looking for. Great place to shop without the pressure
This place legit has every designer you want to look for and the best thing is, you don’t have to make an appointment. I went with my mom and grandma one evening after work, not expecting to find anything, I had two very bad experiences before hand. As a mid-sized lady, I had a hard time finding the style my heart was set on but still looked good. They girl who helped me was so sweet and extremely helpful! As luck would have it, they had my dream dress! The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars on everything is there was a problem with getting my dress in. I was told one time frame and when that past, I had to call up to the store to find out what was going on. It’s was a problem with the designer but again I had to call for them to look into it. My dress did come in, a month later than was promised (at the latest date) and the owner wasn’t very nice about it at first. That aside, they were super nice and their alterations department was incredible! Probably could have had it done cheaper somewhere else but, they were familiar with the dress and did an incredible job. -

The experience I had today was nothing short of appalling. To say that I felt insignificant, worthless, and an inconvenience are words that just don't feel strong enough. New York Bride & Groom's manager, Taylor, and the tall blonde girl with the French braid really did make me feel as though I was nothing. I went into the shop today to pick up my dress/try on after waiting a LONG 3 months for it to FINALLY arrive. I had to cancel my bridal portraits in the wait for the dress. Anyway, let's start off from the very beginning where they set the tone.
Right away, I am brought back to the dressing room where Taylor, the manager, hangs up my dress and says that she will be waiting outside of the room to help me button it up. Right away, I come out of the fitting room and am looking for her or another staff member to help me button up the dress (the dress has something like 24 buttons). I wait a while and, while the blonde girl is absently attending to the dresses hanging up on the rack, my friend eventually has to help me get it on. Eventually this girl does come over and helps me with all of the buttons. However, when she is in the dressing room with me, she pays NO MIND to the fact that the train of my dress is out. She STEPS on my dress as she buttons it on. Okay, so now I am feeling a little irked. But, whatever.
Next, I walk back out to show my friend the dress as well as to the staff. Taylor strolls right past me and tells the bride-to-be next to me that she is gorgeous and the dress is stunning. She gives me a side-way glance and tells me "that looks good too." Okay, ouch.
She comes back around and while I'm fiddling with the dress, I make the comment that I've lost some weight and think it needs to be brought in (I went from 120 to 110lbs). She says, "it looks good on your waist. And it looks nice with your tattoos." I'm not trying to seem like a bridezilla or someone with insecurity, but you know it might have been nice if she had said that I looked gorgeous too. She might as well have said that I was ugly and I should have tried for another dress.
Next, the blonde girl tells me that I will be standing on a pedestal when they're doing my alterations. So I ask her if I need to stay in the dress (I had thought that I was getting fitted for it today, but apparently not). She says no and that she was just waiting for me to be done. So, now not only have they made me feel insignificant but they're also making me feel rushed. Anyway, I go back to my room expecting her to help me get out of the dress at this point. She does not follow me at first initially. AGAIN, my friend had to start coming into the dressing room with me to help me get out of it. The blonde girl comes in after a bit and then helps me out of the dress.
Now, we're working our way out of the store. I'm ready to go. I feel insignificant and these people have ruined something I've been looking forward to since I bought my dress in the beginning of MARCH. We get to the counter and the blonde girl keeps saying "Julliane" or something like that. When I don't answer, she goes "you're jillian, right?" (I don't exactly remember what name she kept calling me, but it was not my name). I say back to her, "I'm Samantha." Mind you, the dress is hanging up next to her with my NAME ON IT. How hard is Samantha? Or just Sam? I'm really done at this point.
Finally, the manager, Taylor, sits down with me and is in the process of setting up my alteration appointment. She asks me if I have any bridal portraits coming up and I inform her for the second time that I had to reschedule it because I was waiting a long time for the dress. She doesn't even apologize. Instead, she goes, "well you should book it soon," and "do you want to do it in August or September?" SEPTEMBER?! My wedding is the second week of October!! Why would I wait that long to get my alterations?! I obviously go with August.
As I am leaving, I decide that I want to bring my dress home. I am more than halfway convinced that these people are NOT touching my dress. After they've said I can bring my dress home with me and back for alterations, she leaves it on a high hook and NEVER ONCE OFFERS TO HELP ME GET IT DOWN. I'm 5'2. I'm short. I get on my tippie toes and get it down myself. I know this is sounding petty, but let me tell you that that same bride that Taylor complimented, she helped her get her dress back into her garment bag, she opened the door for her, etc. etc. She was respectful and accommodating to her but not me! At this point, I'm getting flustered and I am tripping over the dress on the way out of the store. She does not offer help and she does not open the door for me.
THEN, after crying in the car and feeling insignificant and worthless, we decide to go back in to bring my concerns to the manager. This is of course Taylor. She comes outside to talk to us but she only makes excuses. I give up. I brought my dress to another seamstress with good reviews and someone who acted like they cared about me and my wedding day.
