The Best Night Ever

Working with Nelson was an absolute dream! He truly made our wedding reception the most perfect night. We were able to easily communicate regarding songs, timing, and overall vibes and our vision was brought to life! Nelson even helped recommend songs for my husband’s mother and son dance! The dance floor was alive all night long, every single guest of ours took photos using the photo booth and the energy of the night was exactly what we hoped for! I couldn’t recommend this company enough, they truly want your night to be amazing. Our friends and family are still talking about how fun our wedding was months later!

Engaging DJ for school event

DJ Tony was not only professional to work with, but was also great at accommodating high school seniors at our event. He created a fun and festive atmosphere and made sure that requests were honored and that students were enjoying his music throughout the event.

Best night of our lives! Perfect wedding.

Nelson and his team were just INCREDIBLE. We held a wedding at the Harold Pratt House in Manhattan, and as a couple who loves to dance, the dancing part of our reception was one of the most important parts of the wedding! We were looking for a DJ who could really cater not only to the millennial crowd, but who could get everyone (older and younger) involved on the dance floor. From booking Nelson, all the way to the night of our wedding, he was extremely professional, extremely responsive via email or phone, and he put us at ease. We didn't feel like we needed to do much work beyond hiring him and putting him in touch with the venue - he took care of the rest! This was very helpful, because we had so many other "to-dos". We sent him a playlist to give him an idea of what type of music we like and were looking for, and then he used his creative talents on the night of our wedding to keep people moving and grooving for 3 hours! He was flexible when we asked to adjust start time and end time for the event and generally made it feel like we weren't a burden when we contacted him with questions. On the night of the wedding, I really could tell that him and his assistant DJ like the work they do and take pride in their work -- it felt like they were grooving with us, and I think that really adds a lot to the vibes and sets forth a good energy! Thank you Nelson for helping give us the best night of our lives. We are still on cloud 9 from finishing off our NYC wedding with Empire State of Mind! DJ Tone is awesome!

We have had DJ Tone at many of our events! He plays a variety of music and if you are having a theme, he totally gets into it!! If you are trying to impress your guests and enhance the atmosphere of your party, DJ Tone is the vibe you are looking for!!!! Highly recommended!

From our first appointment till the day of the wedding, NC has been ready to answer any question and make any accommodation to make us happy. The day of the wedding, NC was so helpful to us and even did what the venue didn't in the sense that they made sure we had everything we needed! Selfie booth station

Nelson responded immediately too all my wedding inquiries. My wife and I ended up renting the selfie booth station for our big day. Planning for a wedding can be extremely stressful, however working with Nelson was painless. He was responsive, efficient and his team was extremely professional and on time! I’ve recommended Nelson Cruz to very important clients of mine that had an event this past weekend.

The best entertainment experience for our wedding!

Nelson made planning the entertainment for our wedding fun, exciting and EASY. He took all the pressure off us and provided top notch service from start to finish. Nelson and Tony made our special day completely perfect! They truly pay attention to detail and care about making your day exactly how you want it. DJ Fredo was beyond amazing

DJ Fredo killed it at my wedding ceremony and reception. I had a hard time leaving the dance floor because the music was so amazing. My guests loved the photo station. Nelson was fantastic to work with and listened to us and executed flawlessly. He had excellent suggestions for the pre-ceremony music and the processional song for the groomsmen. Nelson Cruz Makes You Dance the Night Away!

We have been using Nelson Cruz as the DJ for our annual company holiday party for years now. He is exceptional! Nelson and his staff are reliable, professional, and fun! They have guests out of their seats dancing all night long. They provide a great mix of music encouraging everyone at our event - young and old to come together on the dance floor. Nelson also ensured the night ran smoothly allowing time for speeches or any special requests we had. We couldn't ask for anything more!

I highly recommend Paul Leonard to be your party's dj. He showed up early to ensure he had enough time to setup and test the sound from various parts of the location. His music selection was perfect (exactly what my wife wanted). Without question I would have him dj a party for me again.

Nelson had every detail covered for our wedding from the entertainment, to the lighting and the photo booth. The day went off seamlessly! Our DJ Fredo was amazing! He read the crowd perfectly and every song was a hit. The dance floor was packed from the moment we entered the facility until they kicked us out. I had numerous guests tell me it was the best wedding they every went to and that Fredo was the reason. Very talented DJ - highly recommend. And Nelson is a true professional.

Nelson Cruz and his team helped me pull off a flawless 400+ company holiday party at The Castle at Park Plaza in Boston. Not only was Nelson Cruz Entertainment our DJ but I also used them for lighting, a photo booth station, and even furniture/bar/dance floor rentals and they nailed it all!

During the 3-4 month planning process Nelson was absolutely amazing. He's creative, professional, responsive and more importantly always made me feel at ease even at the most stressful of times. Nelson and his team are full of life and were eager to keep everyone up on their feet dancing, at times they were even on the dance floor dancing with everyone!! Deciding on a DJ is not easy but I hit a home run choosing Nelson Cruz Entertainment for our event and would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

Nelson Cruz & Co. was the DJ for our son's Bar Mitzvah. From the beginning of our interactions we felt he was a good listener and was very responsive to what we were saying about our son and our own taste in music. Our son didn't want a very clubby atmosphere and wanted rock as well as pop music. Nelson understood how to satisfy our likes and dislikes and still keep the party going. His dance motivators were entertaining and he contributed to a great feeling and party. Checking with us again and again throughout the party, he wanted to make sure it was going according to our plan. Super attentive.

Nelson Cruz is amazing! I felt so well taken care of both leading up to my wedding and on my wedding day. Although I got married in Rhode Island, all of our extended family is from North Carolina and Florida, and so we love the Southern-style shag dance music. Nelson was able to play the perfect mix of top 40 songs mixed in well with the classics (My Girl, Sweet Caroline, Thriller, Shout, etc.). Every person at our wedding knew every word to every song, and sang along. It was perfect, just perfect!

I attended a Bar Mitzvah which Nelson was DJing at, and had to ask for his information because I was so impressed. When my friend asked me to be her bridesmaid and help plan her wedding, Nelson immediately came to mind. She still shopped around but ultimately came to the determination, on her own, that Nelson was the most professional and personable, and entrusted her big day with him!

Nelson was accommodating and gracious both before and during the wedding, and we didn't have to worry about a thing -- he managed the night with style and kept everyone on the dance floor. All in all, it was a fantastic event, thanks in no small part to Nelson's skills as a MC/DJ!

Nelson is a true professional. An example that comes to mind is when when he noticed, during the father-daughter dance, that the father was a little intoxicated (resulting in more "dragging" than "dancing), and made the appropriate decision to cut the dance short in a subtle and classy way. The bride was so grateful that he saved the dance.

Nelson knows how to host a great party. I can't say enough good things about him, and will continue to recommend him to all comers in the future!

We were very fortunate to have hired Nelson Cruz Entertainment to provide the DJ Services and professional motivator dancers at our daughter's Bat Mitzvah this past May. Nelson and his staff were truly a class act. His foremost concern was to make sure that our daughter and her friends were having a great time along with all of our guests. By the looks of the dance floor all had an amazing time as the energy in the room was contagious with Nelson's charismatic personality and his skills as an entertainer!
We would not hesitate to hire Nelson and his staff for another special event as we are confident that the tone of the party would not have been the same without him and his colleagues.

Seriously no complaints at all.

Many of my guests raved about music and Nelson and his team did a great job to make such a happy festive environment.

Also, he definitely knew when to play fast songs and slow songs and kept the party going.
In addition to that, Nelson is so professional. He is always responsive to my emails, requests, and song styles I wanted to play. Before the event, he spoke to event manager at the venue and figured out all necessary logistics specific to this venue.

Nelson agreed to DJ/MC the event at very short notice and did a fantastic job. Everyone enjoyed the music and enjoyed dancing. The set up worked out great. Nelson Cruz was the MC for my twin daughter's Bat Mitzvah party. Nelson and his staff did a spectacular job! I highly recommend Nelson Cruz Entertaiment. Nelson is a very warm, charismatic, talented MC. He's also extremely responsible and professional. During the planning process, Nelson got right back to me whenever I had a question. He provided us with great motivators, a fantastic portrait studio that made beautiful and professional photos of our guests, live music (a singer and saxophonist) basketball, and air hockey, and a great monitor for our photo montage (and he made sure our photo montage played well). Everything he provided was top notch! He listened to my daughter's requests regarding music choices, and games. He worked closely with the staff at the restaurant to make sure everyone was on the same page. All of my friends who have had these events used party planners to help them but Nelson said I didn't need one, that he would make sure everything ran smoothly and he was right!!

Nelson is a kind and considerate man who obviously enjoyed his role in generating an energy of joy at my daughter's wedding. He communicated often with the bride and groom to put together the right mix of music for them, and went out of his way to communicate with the mother of the bride and one of the bridesmaids who, unbeknownst to each other, had asked him to play the same song for the bride at different points during the reception (it was such a perfect song for the bride that he played it twice!). He also helped the father of the bride perform a musical toast to the groom by locating and playing a fairly obscure Scottish song. He mastered a tight schedule of toasts without crowding out the opportunity to dance. He had visited the site ahead of time to acquaint himself with the space in which he would be working, and he showed great consideration in setting up as quietly as he could when rain had forced the wedding party indoors unexpectedly for hors d'oeuvres. He was, from start to finish, a pleasure to work with.

One of the most important things to my now husband and I when planning our wedding was the DJ. We envisioned a big party with no games or cheesy songs - just great music and tons of dancing! We just needed a DJ who could bring that vision to life. On a recommendation from our photographer, we met with Nelson Cruz, and from that moment we knew we were in good hands. Nelson is extremely professional and relaxed, which put us at ease. The DJ that Nelson selected for our wedding, DJ Fredo, was perfect too - exactly what we were hoping for. We cannot say enough great things about our experience with Nelson Cruz Entertainment! From the moment we met Nelson and his wife Erin, we knew we had hit the jackpot. They were personable, professional and completely focused on understanding our wedding vision. They went above and beyond the typical questions & answers approach that many vendors use to get to know us not only as a couple but as two individuals as well. We discussed our desire to incorporate as many non-traditional shots in our photography portfolio as possible and that is exactly what we got. The pictures are absolutely breathtaking...Erin is SO talented! We selected a few must-have songs that we wanted to hear but allowed Nelson creative control over the rest and he definitely did not disappoint. There was a miscommunication (on our end) regarding ceremony music coverage and Nelson was able to accommodate our request just days before our wedding. Everyone had a great time and the pictures reflect that. Nelson had our guests dancing even before dinner was served -- who does that?! A great DJ, that's who! We consider ourselves beyond blessed that we found such an awesome DJ and photographer that ensured our special day was exactly what we wanted. We used a Nelson Cruz Music Entertainment DJ for our wedding and we could not have been happier. We met with Nelson prior to our wedding and he gave us great suggestions and made note of our requests. Nelson was our MC and along with DJ Fredo, they had our wedding guests on the dance floor from our first dance til the end of the night! He even allowed our guests the opportunity to play MC themselves.

Nelson's response to our requests was always yes, and he gave us many good tips, he even asked for a voicemail of the wedding party's names, he wanted to pronounce every name correctly, which he did!

So happy with Nelson, he is a talented and hard working professional with an upbeat personality, cannot be beat!

And Fredo rocked the spliced song mix we asked for, to mix a slow song with Harlem Shake is no small order!

Words not express how amazing Nelson Cruz and his team are. All of our friends and family can not stop telling us how great the music was and how much they enjoyed see the girls
and their friends dancing and having so much fun. Nelson's DJ's and motivators were wonderful, entertaining and so great with all of the kids, ensuring everyone
was having a good time. Everyone was very nice and so professional.
Ensuring that their friends were comfortable when making their speeches by letting them face the girls to speak, and without having to look at the adults was not something I or any of my friends had seen at a Bat Mitzvah before and it was just simply brilliant. The photobooth was a huge hit and we can not wait to see the all of the digital images!

I found Nelson Cruz Events while attending a friends Bat Mitzvah. I hired them to supply and man a photo booth at my daughters Bat Mitzvah. From the first contact to the day of the event, Nelson was easy to work with and attentive to all my questions. He even supplied props for people to dress up before stepping into the booth. Everyone had a fantastic time and the booth was busy all night long. I would definitely contact Nelson for my next event.

We booked Nelson Cruz Entertainment for both our wedding DJ and photo booth. Nelson was always prompt with emails and phone calls and is genuinely a great guy. He was there the night of our wedding to make sure everything ran smoothly.
Our DJ was Hugo and he was amazing. The dance floor was filled the entire night. In fact, when Hugo announced that the first round of shuttle buses were about to depart for the hotel, the entire dance floor boo'd (that's a sign of a great party and a great DJ)! We have had multiple friends say they will book with Nelson when they get married, and even more friends have told us how awesome they thought Hugo was.
The photo booth was really nice as well. It was a hard sided booth with the option of color, sepia, or black and white photo strips. We opted for the guest book package so guests could leave one of their two printed strips in the book with a message. You can even personalize the upper logo on the photo strip prior to your event. Nelson also brought along props (glasses, mustaches, etc) that kept the photos lively and fun.
Overall, we were very pleased with Nelson, Hugo, and our whole experience with this company. You will not be disappointed!

Nelson Cruz Productions makes the party that you want. Nelson and his crew make the effort to find out who you are and what are you trying to create. The crew is professional and provide a great impact without being the center of the party, they leave that to the Bar Mitzvah Boy. They bring great excitement to the event and pull out the energy from everyone in the room.

Nelson will meet with the Bar Mitzvah boy and his family and will learn about what the family is trying to accomplish at their party.

Nelson Cruz Entertainment were referred to us through a family friend. We were having a hard time finding an entrainment company that was comfortable blending a Peruvian culture and a traditional Italian culture under the same tent. We were looking for someone who could bring both cultures together for an amazing night. Nelson decided to meet with us directly which made my wife feel really comfortable. My wife felt better knowing that he had such great experience working in NYC. He was able to understand the challenges we were facing and made some great recommendations on how to blend our cultures together. After the first meeting we were ready to sign contracts and leave a deposit with Nelson. His time management and his expertise in the area of Entertainment is by far the best! He really made you feel confident in what he was going to do.
Nelson recommended DJ Neza which was the life of the party. He played the right music and blended the culture together to give us an amazing evening of Latin/Italian dancing. My parents and my wife's parents danced to music from their wedding and it really brought waves of nostalgic emotions across the room. After dinner was served DJ Neza turned the ballroom into a "NYC Club" playing all types of music. We were so happy to see our family and friends, and even shy nieces and nephews on the dance floor. Absolute pleasure to work with. Nelson Cruz sits down with his clients and gets to know them first hand to be able to provide them with exactly what it is they want for their event. A (5.0) rating does not do justice to what Nelson Cruz entertainment brings to the table, should be a 10!! We had a few friends at our wedding who are in the Dj business and they all had nothing but the highest praise for Nelson Cruz. One went on to say that it was the best DJ he has ever seen! Highly recommend to anyone looking to make their event one for the ages!!

I used Nelson Cruz for my photobooth and it was such a great decision. I was on the fence about booking one and I am so glad I did. Nelson was great to work with and really made sure I had nothing to worry about. He coordinated with my venue and took care of everything.

The attendant they provided was so nice and helpful and all my guests said it was one of the best parts of the reception. There were copies of the photos for guests and I received a digital copy of every picture. Going through those pictures with my husband was so much fun after the wedding.

I had the pleasure to work with Nelson Cruz Music and Entertainment for the first time in Dec 2011. We hired them to provide photo booth services for our organization's 50th Anniversary Holiday party. The booth was a BIG hit! Everyone was having fun in the booth, especially with the props (wigs/hats/sunglasses, etc) provided by Nelson Cruz. The photo strips were printed moments later and given to our guests to take home. The photo strip included our event logo which adds a nice touch to the photos. The whole experience from start to finish was great. Nelson Cruz was very responsive to all my email requests, even weeks after my event was over. His staff was very friendly and helpful. The pricing was the best deal I was able to find too!

Note: at the time of my booking, I wasn't sure if the video option was necessary. I am so glad we signed up for the video option. Guests have the option of recording a 30-second video message before the photo session starts. I was pleasantly surprised to see that when the photo session starts (four snapshots), there was video captured of everyone "striking the pose" before each snapshot. It was interesting and funny...like watching a reality show featuring people you know. It was great to see the pictures AND the video of how much fun guests were having. There were many funny moments that all guests were able to view and "re-live" even one or two weeks AFTER the event was over. When made available online for everyone to see, it re-created a buzz about the event again. The online access is something that Nelson Cruz handles for you! All you have to to do is forward the email, containing link and password. He also sent me the link to download the files to my computer so they can be treasured for as long as I want them.

From my personal experience, Nelson Cruz gets high marks for all aspects of their services. I would definitely hire them again and highly recommend them for functions where you want to deliver memorable moments!

We hired Nelson Cruz Music and Entertainment to run a Photo booth for a College Freshmen Welcome event. The Photo Booth was a huge success and they even provided photos branded with our college logo so make sure to ask about that unique service. We would up having many more students attend than expected and the Nelson Cruz staff handled this chaos without breaking a sweat! They were self sufficient, fun and professional. Highly recommend!

They were on-time, with plenty of enthusiastic staff members, ready to engage our party goers and ensure everyone had a great time. I could not be happier with the quality of service we received from Nelson Cruz events, the photobooth they provided was one of the highlights of the event, and kept people laughing all night! Nelson was totally helpful, involved in the planning and invested in ensuring everything went smoothly. I would 100% recommend them and use them in the future.

We met Nelson at a wedding where he had provided Photo Booth services. He was so pleasant and outgoing, so when I was planning my corporate holiday party, I thought it would be a nice touch to add the photo booth, and knew I wanted it to be with him. I called him the day before the party and he made it happen. My guests were so excited to get their pictures taken in the photo booth with props and all, and it was such a hit! Nelson was so responsive and really accomodating, I would highly recommend him and his services!

Our DJ for our school fundraiser was phenomenal! The attention to detail before the event was superb, Nelson was easy and fun to work with, and the music was outstanding!!! Would highly recommend!!!

I was going back and forth on the idea of having a photo booth at my wedding. I had been to a couple that had one and they were a hit, but during my research I found it to be a little expensive on top of what we were paying for our photographer so I had given up on the idea. But right when I was deciding against it a groupon came out through Nelson Cruz entertainment for more than 50% off a 4 hour rental and I couldn't pass it up. I purchased this groupon and called and booked my date. The company was very responsive and friendly. During the months leading up to my wedding any questions I had they were answered right away. The wedding day came and the attendant was amazing. Everyone raved about how friendly and engaging he was. The line for the booth was all the way down to the dance floor most of the wedding and people raved about how amazing and fun it was. I would recommend them to anyone for your wedding. The booth was huge and fit a good amount of people and I would recommenced using the props, so fun! My friend is using them next October for her wedding and I can't wait to see them again!

We worked with Nelson for 2 Bat Mitzvah events and would work with him again in a second. He is professional, detail oriented, and great with the kids. Both of my daughters loved working with Nelson because he has a special gift of making them feel like a real star. He played the music and games they requested and knew just how to get all the kids involved. Working with Nelson was easy and seamless from the beginning. He was very professional and made me feel comfortable and confident that everything would be perfect. DJ Neza was amazing! He was able to keep the dance floor packed all night long with a perfect mix of songs that appealed to both, our older and younger crowds. We could have kept on dancing all night long! Nelson Cruz provided the dj for our October 2008 wedding reception on Cape Cod. The dj handled a challenging site (the middle of a farm!) and pulled off a perfectly coordinated cocktail hour and dinner reception. The dance floor was full all night, and we got so many compliments on the music selection and the dj's professionalism. Nelson was wonderful to work with; we couldn't recommend him more highly.

We got married in June, 2010 and the one thing we did not have to worry about from the start was our DJ! Nelson did a fantastic job coordinating our event. They played all of our requested songs and kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. From the first time we spoke and met with Nelson we knew we had our DJ. He paid close attention to every little detail that we wanted and made it happen.

I would definitely recommend Nelson Cruz Entertainment to anyone planning any kind of event. The style and energy he brings is top notch!

I am a New York bride who recently got married in South Beach Florida. After extensive research, I chose Nelson Cruz Entertainment. I was very impressed by Nelson’s stellar reputation in NYC and Miami. Nelson is AMAZING. His charisma and experience made him very easy to work with. His experience in the entertainment field is unmatched. Planning a destination wedding can be very difficult. I faced no difficulties with Nelson by my side. For the ceremony and cocktail hour he provided a Spanish Guitarist whose tone and elegance set the stage for our romantic ceremony. For the reception he provided DJ Neza who rocked the night. I extended the wedding, two extra hours, because he was that good. I had an outdoor evening wedding, by the beach, and needed ALOT of lighting. His lighting and effects were phenomenal; they made the ceremony space elegant and romantic and later transformed that same area into a pumping night club. He also provided a coffee bar and cigar rollers, which were a huge hit. Unlike other business owners, he was actually there; making sure every little detail was addressed. His presence allowed me to enjoy my wedding without having to worry about my vendors. Thank you, Nelson Cruz Entertainment, for making my wedding flawless and memorable.

I worked at a premiere event venue in NYC and Nelson and his team were our go to group for entertainment support at Weddings, various parties, and reception/dinners. Nelson is a professional, take his job seriously and brings along great crews as well. Would work with them again in a heartbeat.

Nelson was a terrific DJ! We were at another friend's wedding where he was the DJ and he just blew us away and we knew we had to approach him on the spot. As a DJ, he transitions between songs seamlessly (which is a must because it's so awkward when the music starts and stops randomly). He's a total professional... he responded very quickly via email or phone. He had great music suggestions and he was very patient and flexible in listening to our requests as well. On the day of the wedding, he was on time and ready to go with setting up all the equipment. We didn't have to worry at all which is a huge plus because there is just so much to think about the day of the wedding. Overall, we were so happy and pleased with his services. We highly recommend him!

Nelson Cruz did a fantastic job with our son's Bar Mitzvah. Our guests were dancing the entire night and they made sure all of the pieces of the evening transitioned smoothly. Nelson and his team were extremely easy to work with and we were able to enjoy the evening while they took care of all of the details. We had so much fun that everyone wants to do it all over again!

Nelson was great with a posse of 14 years olds. He not only played great music but was enthusiastic and really got the party going. He is also very responsive and prompt and was easy to book and work with.
