Nate was our pianist and sole musician for both our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour, and we couldn't be happier that we chose him. As a pianist myself, I'm afraid I may have been a bit picky and demanding, with several challenging classical pieces as part of my dream program. Nate not only did a fantastic job with those pieces, but also communicated consistently with me throughout the planning process, sending me short recordings to keep me updated on his progress. He even took a four-hands piece I wanted for our recessional and adapted it for two hands. Then during the social hour, he really showed off his versatility by switching to lighter pop/jazzy pieces (at my request). Overall, Nate has the perfect combination of skill, creativity, flexibility, and professionalism...HIGHLY recommended!!!

Highly Recommend

We hired Nate for our wedding, and he was fantastic! He was so easy to work with and played for both our ceremony and reception. He showed up, found his spot, and started playing beautiful music without needing any direction. Highly recommend! Positive feedback from guest!

Great pianist!

Nate provided beautiful music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. He was very responsive while planning, was open to any request we had, and brought beautiful, eclectic mix of songs to provide the perfect atmosphere!

Amazing pianist!

Nate is fantastic at what he does. We hired him for our wedding ceremony and he played through cocktail hour. Everyone loved listening to him! I hope I can hire him for another event in the future.

Fantastic pianist

We met with Nate to discuss our vision and he was so helpful in choosing songs that coordinated with our ideas. Everyone loved him! My only hope is to have another event so we can have him play again! 100/10, highly recommend.

Awesome pianist!

Nate was extremely responsive, and completely accommodating to our music requests for our ceremony. He can play a very wide range of music, and was exactly what we wanted for our ceremony. Highly recommend!

Nate was just great from the first email. I can only say good things about Nate. He came out to my house, visited with me about the music, and even practiced with my sister who was going to sing at the wedding. Nate was fully prepared for almost any type of music. He followed our music selections to a T. He can sing and he got the group singing as well. Everyone danced because he can read the crowd. He dressed properly for a wedding. He was on time. He drove 250 miles to our outdoor wedding. I can't hardly say enough good things about Nate. He has a very nice personality. He even won my 90 year old Mom over. She wants him to play at her 90th birthday party. Great Job Nate. You are the best. B& B from Stillwater, MN

This past weekend my wife and I were genuinely blessed to share our most special wedding occasion with an extremely talented, professional, and sincerely enthusiastic pianist. Nate brought an exceptionally special element and peaceful ambiance to our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. From our very first meeting with Nate he was extremely open, flexible, and provided both wonderful and insightful feedback on wedding music selections. He responded in a timely manner to any questions or concerns we had with the ceremony and music. Nate's performance at the ceremony and following cocktail hour were simply awesome! Nate performed all of our requested songs with special consideration to cover song selections that were very special to both the bride and groom. From my first contact with Nate through the wedding ceremony he was super easy to work with. Very responsive to all my questions and he even knew the Star Wars music we requested to have played during our ceremony. We had a destination wedding in Duluth and Nate never hesitated to travel to our location. I highly recommend Nate!!

Nate was fantastic. He was extremely responsive to meeting with us and very helpful in selecting the best songs to play at our wedding. He played all the music for our ceremony. Nate played piano for my daughter and son-in-law’s wedding, cocktail hour and reception. He played a large variety of music for about 4 -5 hours; we received many compliments! I would highly recommend Nate to anyone!

Nate was amazing at our wedding! His communication leading up to the big day was top notch and was able to play all the songs that my husband and I requested. Very accommodating. Guests at our wedding couldn't stop talking on how beautifully he played and truly enjoyed listening to the music. Nate is worth every penny! If I did my day all over again, I would still choose him.

We were so fortunate to have Nate play at our wedding in Lanesboro, MN last June. He responded to our email correspondence promptly and answered all of our questions prior to the wedding. He arrived on time and was very professional from start to finish. Our guests loved the music he prepared for the occasion. He also accommodated my request for a particular song for the first dance and he made such an amazing arrangement of it that whole place were in tears. Nate did a fantastic job playing piano for our wedding. He was very professional and went above and beyond what we were expecting. He performed during the ceremony and provided dinner entertainment alone and with other musicians. Nate even composed an original piece for piano and trumpet for our processional! This was really special and we would highly recommend Nate if you are looking for a wedding pianist!

Nate and I worked together at a wedding in September of 2015. I am a professional cellist, and the client who's wedding we played at booked both of us individually to perform together as a cello/piano duo.

Nate and I met for the first time 45minutes before the ceremony began. He came prepared and, from the first note played, I knew that Nate would be easy to collaborate with. He is very musically sensitive both to other musicians and to the context in which he's playing.

In addition to playing about a dozen pieces together, he also performed one of his original works during the Candle Lighting ceremony. I enjoyed sitting and listening to his music, and was impressed with how easily he tailored the music for the specific context.

Nate is organized and prompt to clearly communicate during the planning stages. Having worked with hundreds of clients, I know how important these pieces are for folks planning a wedding. Nate was a pleasure to work with and I hope for the opportunity to do so again in the future.

Nate Hance was an excellent choice for ceremony music for our wedding. He was professional, attentive, responsive and flexible. He's a great musician and has a wonderful personality that made him very easy to work with. He also gave us the most priceless things we could have asked for -- an original composition for our Big Day. Not only was this piece of ceremony music totally unique and really made our ceremony stand out, it is also a gift that we will cherish forever.
