Without a doubt amazing...

I don't know what we love more- Nancy or the photos from our special day. I've always felt self-conscious/looked awkward in pics, but I literally can't stop looking at our photos! Nancy was so sweet and professional, and her work is phenomenal!!! She absolutely nailed the nouvelle vague cinematic aesthetic we were going for and captured so many special moments beautifully- even tiny details looked glamorous. I cannot recommend her enough and am looking forward to her capturing our future milestones. I almost hesitate to recommend her because I want to keep her talent all to myself, but she is seriously the sweetest person ever!

Don't even second guess

After speaking with 8 photographers being frustrated and then finally from the moment I spoke with Nancy on the phone and just seeing her work. I had no doubt in my mind how beautiful our wedding photos would turn out to be. That has now become an understatement she captured the absolutely most magical magazine worthy photos. My husband is not photogenic at all and a little shy, Bethany her second Photographer made him feel so comfortable from getting ready to the photos afterwards; Nancy and her are a dream team. Ofcourse Weddings don't go off with some hiccups with family or vendors; it happens prepare yourself.. but with a photographer like Nancy you barely notice. Her loving friendly cool collective attitude and rockstar second photographer will make your day a fairytale. I could go on about how professional and a joy to have her on my big day was. But the facts are her pricing is wonderful, for her work she should be charging 3 times as much. Her style tells you a story of your day, we all go back and forth wanting a videographer and those are bloody expensive with Nancy you won't even feel the need to have one. We barely even noticed she was going around taking photos we didn't have a camera in our face saying look here do this. She let us do our own thing which made the day even more special, we didn't feel like a puppet which I'm in the Beauty industry the amount of brides telling me how they felt like the photographer put them on a wind up string is vast. Look at the end of the day you want something to remember you don't wanna feel like a stressed out bride or groom not only did I feel I had the most incredible photographer I felt like I had a friend at the end of the day. No questions asked Nancy and and Bethany are the #1 choice just the joy love and passion they have for what they do what's better than that; I'll tell you it shows in their work!! We can't thank them enough they truly were a puzzle piece that made our day INCREDIBLE.

Surpassed Our Idea

Nancy and Bethany were a complete and total JOY to have working with both, our engagement shoot and wedding day photos. From the very first phone call with Nancy, we knew she had something special. Her favorite shots, how she shot, and the joy she got from shooting, we knew she would be perfect. Her and Bethany never stopped shooting on our wedding day. We had one sneak peek photo the next day, we were NOT disappointed. Just the one photo was absolutely perfect! We can't wait to see the rest!!

Nancy is the most amazing photographer I have ever, and will ever have the pleasure to work with. She did both my engagement and wedding photos, and she really understands how to make things absolutely beautiful. She provides great direction, gets excited which makes you excited, and makes ever picture magical. Plus, her prices are unbelievable! She should be charging way more for the amazing quality of her work. I can't wait to receive my photos, and I cant wait to work with her again for all future occasions.

We recently had Nancy and her assistant Bethann as the photographers for our wedding and were incredibly happy with their work. They were able to capture so many intimate moments without feeling intrusive. They were both super friendly and professional. Overall, we are so thankful for their work, and would absolutely recommend their services for anyone. They really paid attention to our preferences and the shot list that we had shared. The photos made us look incredible while still keeping us looking like ourselves. We felt that Nancy was able to focus in on photographing emotion and love that was very present in our wedding via her pictures. Nancy and Bethann are very talented and we appreciate their services very much.

We booked Nancy for our wedding last month and she was absolutely fantastic! I was very apprehensive when looking for a photographer because I have heard horror stories from other people but I could not be happier. From our initial call to our planning call before the wedding, she was a true professional, making sure she understood my vision and offering tips to make sure we got some great shots. My family and bridal party also had nothing but rave reviews about working with her. If she's available for your date, book her now!

Simply said, Nancy is fantastic. She did such a wonderful job with our wedding photography- she captured our day perfectly and looking through our photos brings my husband and I so much happiness. Nancy was great to work with throughout the entire process. We did engagements pictures with her and she instantly put me and my husband at ease. She allowed us to be ourselves, and was great at offering tips and suggestions on what might yield the best photos without posing us. She was friendly, encouraging and very creative! The day of the wedding, she and her team showed up early and stayed late. They were incredibly gracious throughout the entire event, taking care to get all the pictures we wanted and some we didn’t we even know we wanted until we got them back, for example, the pictures of every couple at every table. She was a total professional yet my husband and I never had the feeling that we were “just another client”- she was always excited, always giving us her best, always genuine. We looked at several photographers before deciding to go with Nancy and we found her pricing and packages were very reasonably priced, especially for the quality of photographs and service we received. We are so happy that we had Nancy shoot our wedding and can’t recommend her enough.

Nancy and co. exceeded our expectations and was everything we wanted and more out of our photographer for our wedding. First off, she is the nicest woman I've ever worked with. She's unbelievably sweet and kind. Also, Nancy is super professional and responsive in regards to your every need. She works with you to build a personalized perfect vision just for you and your wedding. She is so talented and has some amazing ideas. Overall, we couldn't be any happier to have chosen Nancy and her team to be our photographer. You cant go wrong with Nancy and I promise you wont be let down if you decide to use her services.

Nancy and her team were beyond amazing. They arrived early and stayed till the very end. Nancy was so great to work with leading up to the big day. We met in person at the ceremony location and chatted for about an hour over coffee. She gave me great advice how to make the photographs on our wedding day the best they could be. I couldn't imagine my wedding day without her and her assistant, Beth!!

Nancy (and her assistant Bethany) was truly wonderful to work with. We loved her style from the get go. We talked on the phone prior to booking with her and she provided ample examples of her work, even some from our venue. She is very soft spoken and incredibly easy to talk to/work with. In action she was particularly discreet and checked in regularly to make sure she got all the shots we wanted. She was very flexible on our wedding day with portraits and made sure to be early so she didn't miss anything. She deserves every one of the stars she has in reviews!

We are so happy that we selected Nancy as our wedding photographer. If it were possible to give more than 5 stars, I definitely would. She is such a warm and approachable person, yet she can be assertive when need be (ie telling guests to put their cameras away). I felt so comfortable having her around during the wedding. In fact she does such a good job of blending in that there were many times I didn't even notice her. She is a true professional who knows exactly where to be and when. I really appreciated all of the advance effort she put in to make sure she was ready for our wedding; she reviewed the timeline with us, did a walk-through of the site, and answered any questions we had.
Now for the best part- the photos! They are absolutely wow-knock-your-socks-off gorgeous. We will treasure them forever. I cannot recommend Nancy highly enough.

Not only are her photographs amazing, but she is a consummate professional and an absolute delight to be around. She is a visionary and very clear about how to get the best pictures for her clients. If you are looking for beautiful, artistic, and meaningful wedding photos, book Nancy. I cannot say enough how amazing her work is, and how awesome she was to work with. First of all, her cheery, easy going personality was a calming presence throughout the wedding. She was also extra cautious to be out of sight, which was hard to do at my tiny venue, but somehow she managed to do so, while capturing beautiful and intimate moments during the ceremony and reception. She was extremely accommodating to all our requests. She was also very prompt in communication from the first time I contacted her.

Her photos are all incredible works of art. In the 2000 images I got from her, each image was not only beautiful but also full of the essence of each moment. There were no awkwardly posed shots, and even candid shots looked artistic.

I've gotten so many compliments from everyone I've shared my photos with.

On top of all that, her prices are amazing!! For $1695, she and her assistant worked with us for 4 hours, and we were given all the images and rights to about 2000 photos, which all look amazing.

Nancy is too good to be true, but she truly is!

We have loved working with Nancy for our wedding! She did our engagement photos in Baltimore, MD which turned out beautifully. She found places (allies, random little fields, fountains, etc) That gave our shoot some diversity besides just your average building/harbor shots you would expect. It looked like we were in a park, in a field, in a garden, etc as well! We used those photos for everything from christmas photos to our save the dates, and she loved hearing about everything we used our photos for!

Nancy is a very pleasant person to be around, she made us feel very comfortable, and gave us some really great tips about how to make our wedding run more smoothly and what we could do to help her get the very best shots.

Nancy was very responsive to all of my emails throughout the year we worked together and was very flexible (she lives in Annapolis, MD, and was willing to travel to Fredricksburg, VA where our wedding was)!

I think my favorite thing she has done (for both the engagement and the wedding photos) is promptly sending a "sneak peak" photo that same day. I have NO idea how she did it for the wedding, as she had a much longer drive home than we did, but we got a fully edited wedding photo texted to us before we even got home directly after the wedding!

Nancy has little tricks up her sleeve (like the sneak peaks and tips and tricks for the wedding shoots she's always eager to share) to make everything that much more special and personable. She listens to what you want and she makes sure it happens. I definitely reccomend!

We cannot wait to see the rest of the photos she took at our wedding!

I hired Nancy and her assistant to photograph my wedding for 8 hours. She is extremely responsive and her prices are very fair, which are two things qualities I look for in addition to her actual portfolio. Before the event she met with me and I showed her around the venue, she took lots of time to discuss with me my vision for the photographs and she even offered lots of advice on how to get those moments captured (walk slow with your head up, take your time with that kiss, etc.) I could tell that she is a super creative person as we toured the grounds, she had lots of brilliant ideas and was genuinely excited about the wedding. During my wedding she worked hard all 8 hours to capture every moment. She was so kind and professional and made me feel at ease. You can tell that she loves her job and that the photographs are just as important to her as they are to the bride! When I recieved my photos I cried tears of joy, they were so beautiful. I have a hard time picking the ones I want to frame. My friends and family loved the photos so much my brother is hoping to hire her for his wedding. I also plan to hire her again at some point in the future to capture other life events. She is the best decision I made for my wedding! Thank you again Nancy!!

Nancy is absolutely incredible. We knew upon our first meeting with her that she would be our wedding photographer. She is so kind and creative and very responsive if you have any questions at all. She works with you throughout the whole process and listens to your ideas and needs. Her prices are very fair and her quality is unmatched. We had the most amazing engagement photo shoot at the National Mall during the blooming of the cherry blossoms and have received none stop compliments since. We are thrilled with our wedding photos. She managed to capture moments we didn't even know where happening, like guests holding hands during our vows, and others of our flower girl and ring bearer. She does a beautiful assortment of black and white and color photos and made my husband I look like movie stars : ) If you are in the area, go see Nancy now!

Nancy was fantastic! She was so easy to work with. She's very thorough, and her prices are very reasonable. I knew she was the photographer for me at our first meeting; I knew I liked her style of photography based on her website, but it was her attention to detail that made her perfect for me. At my walk through, she gave me several tips that I found really helpful on my wedding day. She scouted out the best spots for pictures at my venue, and arrived early to get herself set up for my arrival. Her assistant Courtney was incredibly helpful, tracking down missing family members and even hanging on a limb on the cherry tree to get petals to rain down on us. All of our important shots were covered. She posted our pictures to Pictage about a month after the wedding, and a DVD with all of our pictures arrived shortly afterwards. I highly recommend Nancy!

We don't know where to begin! Nancy was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. We were so comfortable our entire shoot because she is an absolute sweetheart and has an amazing calming effect on those around her. She was extremely flexible and responsive throughout the entire process. Not only are her prices super competitive, but we received SO many edited pictures from our engagement shoot than we would have ever expected. Everyone who has seen the pictures has absolutely loved them...her framing, use of light and general creativity are really just perfect.We would HIGHLY recommend to anyone in the VA/DC/MD area looking for a photographer!

Phenomenal! . . .
Nancy helped make my daughter's wedding a memorable event. She was somehow able to be everywhere at once, getting every shot without being in the way or even being noticed. She blended in and made everyone comfortable. The little moments that make an event personal and precious were all captured and lovingly handled by this amazing, professional, caring woman who left no doubt that my daughter was the most important person in the world. WOW! I can not say enough good things about Nancy Anderson Cordell. From the beginning, I felt confident that working with Nancy would be one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process. She is kind, professional, calming, funny, and an absolute pleasure to be around. She managed to be everywhere at all times, yet we never felt overwhelmed or intruded upon during special moments between us. By the end of the wedding, Nancy felt like a part of the family. Miami (yes, the one in Florida) Wedding... As a parent, you want to give your children the best in life. Inviting Nancy to chronicle our daughter's wedding was THE best decision we could have made for this very important and special day. Planning the wedding I had a dream of how the wedding should look, the venue, the flowers, the dress and of course the memories-the pictures. Nancy has ensured that our memories are not just recordings of the event, but beautiful tributes to our daughter's wedding. She captured the intangible and unadulterated joy and emotion in EVERY shot! The quality of her work is unsurpassed!
