My Dream Day Wedding
My dream day wedding was held in Church at NaKayshions. I had four thing I wanted for my special day. Decoration, music, minister and my family. They went above and beyond what I asked. I will be back for our 10-year vows renewal for that special day. Thank You, NaKayshions and Staff. -

My wedding was at Na'Kayshions on June 11, 2016. I fell in love with this place from the first day we walked in for a tour. Everything that Na'Kayshions had to offer us was not only what we were looking for but also the best deal around. Mr. and Mrs. Jackson are so genuine and easy to work with. We felt like they really cared about making our event special. Ms. Shirley was so patient with us with our many many changes and requests. She was very helpful with suggestions and worked with us to make sure we were always happy. We owe so much to Ms. Charita who worked closely with us from the very beginning. Let me tell you, this girl knows her stuff!! I honestly don't know what I would have done without her. She is such a genuinely good person who went out of her way many times to help us. She did everything she could to keep us happy and stress free. I honestly don't believe our wedding would have been as smooth and as beautiful as it was without her. The food was delicious and the decor and set up was even better than I imagined! My mouth actually dropped when I walked in to the reception area! Everything was so so beautiful! My husband and I could not have asked for anything more. -

It rained and the temperature dropped on my wedding day BUT, everything was PERFECT!!!! We had the best time at NaKayshion's. When I walked in the door, the setup was amazing. We booked the venue in May 2014 because I wanted to get the ball rolling. Throughout the year, the Jacksons and Ms. Shirley kept telling me everything would come together and it would be everything I dreamed of. Well it was awesome and if I had to have my wedding all over again, it would be at Nakayshion's.
When I walked in that day, the atmosphere was so calming that I wasn't nervous at all. All of our friends and family enjoyed their time. It was unforgettable and we had a remarkable time.

NaKayshions is the perfect place to host a wedding or any special event! It is an absolutely beautiful venue and the owners operate with excellence. I had my wedding in the historic chapel and it was the perfect location, My reception was held in the Grand Hall and to this day, family and friends are still talking about how beautiful it was. From the first day that I walked into the door they made me feel like I was the only bride they were working with; I had their full attention and every detail was cared for. I look forward to having future special events at Nakayshions

Mr. and Mrs. Jackson were awesome to work with. The venue surpassed my expectations and wowed my guests. I want to say thank you to them for the professionalism from the greeter to Ms. Shirley for making the decorations happen. I was indecisive, but instead of getting impatient with me they helped me realize my vision. Thank you so much Nakayshions. This is the perfect one stop shop for brides who just want to show up.

Mrs. Jackson was wonderful to work with at NaKayshions! She treats you like family and makes sure that your day is special. Ms. Shirley and Ms. Pam were of great help and assistance with all the changes and suggestions from me. It is a picturesque locale with a breathtaking outdoor space. I was unable to utilize the gazebo on my wedding day due to the weather but the quaint and detailed church was amazing. I would recommend anyone to NaKayshions. -

I couldn’t have picked a better venue to host my wedding and reception!! My wedding was outside at the Gazebo area and reception in the Grand Hall. I loved having two different locations on the same property. (A Big Plus) My guests are still raving about how lovely the place is!!!
Both the outside area and inside (the reception) was so beautifully decorated! It was evident that time and attention was put into making my day as special and pretty as I had dream of!
I am truly grateful to the entire Staff at Nakayshions, decorators and owners for contributing to helping make my dreams come true.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

Hello Na' Kayshions,
This is Kimberly writing my experience at Na'Kayshions for our July 4th wedding. To sum it up, my experience was all I expected for my dream wedding and more. Everything was perfect for my big day. All of the staff were friendly and treated us all like family. The Reception Hall decorations were more than I expected also. Mrs. Jackson and her staff did a WONDERFUL job at making everything look perfect like I wanted plus more. She went the extra mile. Na'Kayshions was a great place for our wedding. We got a lot of praise for having "Such a beautiful wedding" I want to thank you all for all of your hard work.

My event was very nice. I want to thank the DJ for being there at my rehersal. All our request was attended to by Nakayshions. The services provided by the Jacksons was grade A. DJ Tiger was a able to download all our music request on the spot. I heard songs that are just not played on the local stations anymore. Mrs Shirley our host was very nice also. Thank You all.... -

My day was beautiful and completely stress free for me. There were a few concerns with coordinating vendor's arrivals and some other small details, but what impressed me most was that the staff simply took care of it. They didn't involve me or stress me in any way. In the end, everything worked out, it was absolutely beautiful and I was completely pleased! It was a beautiful day and the Jackson's really made me feel comfortable and assured me that I could have my wedding day exactly the way I envisioned it. -

Na'Kayshions - SUPERIOR SERVICE
My family and I decided to host our loving father of a birthday party to celebrate his wonderful years as a father and community leader. We wanted to make this a very important day for him.
We heard about Na'Kayshions Wedding and Special Event Facility, upon our arrival we felt welcome. We worked out the details and on the day of the event, our caterer, whom we contracted had left to go on vacation and indicated his associate never received our email concerning serving time.
Na'Kayshions staff assisted us greatly by calling him to inquire where the food was. He indicated he thought it was to arrive at 6:00 PM instead of 12 noon. We were disappointed and in shock.
All the guests were in attendance. The staff kept us calm, reinforce that everything would be ok. Most importantly the owner was ready to go to the
nearest restuarant to purchase some food, even though it wasn't Na'Kayshions fault. They felt deeply hurt for us as well.
My father was growing weary and needed to eat. Na'Kayshions took steps to telephone a waite staff they knew, and told them they would pay for their service to come and to assist with the party. When they arrived the waite staff went immediately to the prep kitchen and served beverages Na'Kayshions had on hand to our guests, and attempted to make our guests as comfortable as they could.
About that time, the caterer telephoned and indicated the food would be arriving within an hour and a half. Although the food serving time was delayed for about 2 1/2 hours everyone overall was extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to come to bless and to give tribute to a Great Man.
We also would like for everyone to know we were not only greatful to do this for our dad, but we are extremely greatful to the owners for everything they did and didn't have to do. When things go well many people never stop to say thanks,
but often they are quick to say something negative. Mr. and Mrs. Jackson, Mrs. Shirley, Ms. Pam, Ms. Gloria, Waite Staff, and decorators we say THANKS
for making our father's day special. You will forever be bless, because of your good heart and how you go out of your way to make a difference.

When we viewed the venue we did not plan to book a venue that day but Mrs. Pam convinced us. She was great, and so were Mrs. Shirley and Mr. & Mrs. Jackson. The outdoor garden is beautiful and the inside was decorated so nice for the receptions. We got tons of compliments from our family and friends. I would recommend them to anyone. -

Everthhing was beautiful on my wedding day. The one thing i was disappointed with was the food. Several things that were on my selected menu were not present. I asked for fried chicken but instead had a sweet & sour nuggets. I asked for a puffed pasta dish but that was excluded all together. The sandwiches i selected were present, i think thheir presentattion wasn't what I had in mind. I never met the caterer/chef or had a tasting oof my selected menu prior to my wedding day.
I was also disappointed that we were unable to view the sllideshow on the screen.
I know things happen unexpectedly and you go with thee flow. Overall my special day was an joyous event that I will never forget! -

I just got married the day after Thanksgiving. My wedding was planned while I and my husband (then fiance) were in Iraq. The Jacksons' were very flexible and worked with me to make payments while I was abroad serving my country. On leave my husband and I each had an opportunity to visit the facility in person and were impressed with the grounds and all that would be offered for the price quoted.
I'm very thankful to have found them, because I'm not much for fussing about the little details that make the big picture possible. They helped to bring the big picture I was envisioning into reality. -

I appreciate all your dedicated service for us. Special thanks to Mrs. Jackson the owner of the facility. I loved the fact that you could make our "dream wedding" come true. All the way from the DJ to the perfect linens and decorations that we were able to put together on the tables. You all made everything run smoothly so I didnt have to worry about a thing. Nothing seemed "too much" from you guys. You really made it about us, and made sure that we were happy. Had you and Mr. Jackson not been there with an answer to every question, a solution to every problem, and your encouraging and loving words.... Our wedding would not have been what it was: A Magical Day!! Your website is great and was so helpful in helping my family get directions. A must see.
We also loved the fact that we could take our engagement pictures on your property.

Made a special moment one we really don't want to remember
This venue came highly recommended, so we were really excited to have my mom's retirement party here. The Jackson's are great but the assistant they had who retired from the Sheriff's office was awful!!! The ASSISANT and the DJ shoved the guest out the door at the end, didn't do the toast at all, kept the Champagne and all the food that was left that we paid for. I asked if the bride silhouette could be taken off the wall because my mother is retiring not getting married and she screamed really loudly NO!! Social media thought it was a wedding...smh...A very special moment turned to a semi nightmare; mind you the cost was not cheap. Hopefully if you choose this venue, you will have a better experience. The Sheriff lady is no longer there. Thank goodness. -

My wedding was absolutely beautiful!
The owner of Nakayshion's Mrs. Jackson was absolutely so helpful and made me feel like she did everything to make my wedding perfect.
With that being said, I did not care much for her assistant Felisha. She gave us the run around and was rude to guests towards the end of the wedding.
So just work with Mrs. Jackson! She is the best!
I could not have asked for a better wedding! It is absolutely amazing! You have to check it out! -

My fiance and I were originally very excited to book our wedding and reception at Nakayshions. But that all changed about 2 months before the wedding. We were told that we would be contacted to have our 2 month meeting to go over all the final arrangements. Well we ended up contacting Nakayshion's after we had not heard from anyone. When we asked to have the appointment at 6 or 7pm, we were told that normally they weren't scheduled that late, but they worked with us on that. We originally wanted to use the chapel which supposedly held 100 people (Yeah Right). The chapel looks like it can hold 50 normal people. I'm glad we didn't use the chapel because the paint on the outside is now chipping and it is very noticeable.
Our frustration with Nakayashion's came in when we spoke with Mr. Jackson and he gave us information and answered or questions but then when we spoke with his wife, the answer was totally different. For instance, we were told that we didn't need to have a bartender serve our champagne, since we were only drinking it for a toast. But then that information changed when I spoke with Mrs. Jackson. When meeting with the owners, they rarely wrote anything down, which lead to the same issues over and over. Our package included a DJ, which was the biggest mistake ever. After DJ Victor finally contacted us, he seemed to be very familiar with the set up and how things worked at the facility but we were very disappointed when he showed up to the rehearsal with NO music. We had to rehearse with only the soloist and they had to strain their voices to sing very loudly since there were no mics or music to rehearse with. At the wedding ceremony, the DJ's mics went in and out and our guest were not able to hear our vows which was also very disappointing. The music he played at the reception was not very good, and we should have given him a playlist instead of just telling him a general type of music to play. While announcing the parents dance, the DJ decided to include grandparents, which was very awkward because my grandmother was on the dance floor alone.. Basically with Nakayshion's in the beginning we were told, not to buy anything because everything would most likely be provided by them but when the time came, Nakayshion's didn't seem to have hardly anything we needed. We chose to use the outside gazebo for the ceremony, and we were told that the candlelabras would be available but before the ceremony we were told that we could not use them. We were told that they had 2 easels to use but at the rehearsal when setting up, there was only one that actually worked. The temperature was also an issue with Nakayshions, grant it it was very warm outside, the facility inside was warm during the reception. We were told that we could pay to use their wine glasses but then were told that they wouldn't have enough, and that some people would have to use plastic. But we didn't have to pay for those. The day of the ceremony, I was told several times by the owner about 2 "suprises" but I have yet to figure out exactly what they were. I think since the DJ was at a table with a tablecloth and the bridal suite was clean, those were my suprises? The night of the rehearsal was used more for us to set up the facility, there is really no such thing as a coordinator at Nakayshion's. I recommend you have your own. They seemed to be bothered that we wanted to bring bottled water for our guests, since the ceremony was outside. When loading up we were given very dirty looks and stares by the owner, as if to make sure we didn't go a minute over our time. Overall Nakayshion's is a very nice facility but very unorganized and seems to be more focused on money and not quality service. -

Where do we start. First we want to say that the Jacksons are wonderful people and their hearts are in the right place but business involves more than heart, it needs organization.
Now the review starts. IF you decide to work with them you MUST be self-organized. Our contract was signed in September 2008 for our wedding March 2009. I didn't hear from anyone after signing until I called around January. During our initial consultation we were told that we would be allowed to use the facility for our rehearsal dinner as long as we brought in our own catering, we we told that all items needed for the reception and ceremony were included, we also signed under a contract that gave us a bonus package including a carriage, flowers, dj, bridal portrait and facility coordinator whom I would meet with a month before the wedding. Every vendor was hidden from us until the last minute except the photographer they recommended who was a Godsend.
We called and called again to get details and clarification about different things. Many times my husband was told one thing and I was told another, and yet another if I came in person to meet.
When we tried to set up the rehearsal dinner we were told we could use the facility but would have to pay for the staff to come in, something we weren't told at the beginning. We ended up having our rehearsal dinner at Piccolo Mondo in Arlington, which I will review later, it was wonderful.
Throughout the process we had to fight for every step of the so called included package. The most smooth processes throughout the ordeal was the setup of the carriage ride and the dj.
We finally had our tasting on 2/16 due to our constant requests. Prior to that we were told the person at the catering location was difficult to reach. However, after meeting with him, we found that was not the case.
When I set up my bridal portrait I was told that the photographer, J. Roberts that we selected was too expensive and maybe would should consider an engagement portrait with Kevin Bowens. We were very loyal to J and opted to recieve the $100 they allotted for bridal portraits. This amount was not revealed until the time of bridal portrait. Also the bridal portrait was supposed to be arranged by them, and never happened. We believe they didn't want to do it so they wouldn't have to pay J. what he was worth. It didn't make sense because they gave us his name. This was a part of our package that was stalled until I made my own appointment. My bridal portraits ended up being 2 weeks before the wedding.
Our florist Dallas House of Flowers was great and recommended by them. Some of the flowers were to be paid by them. They never gave us an amount for that or the procedure on how to order the flowers. We ordered them and paid that day. We later found that Na'Kayshions received a bill from the florist. They had previously given us a credit for the flowers that we ended up having to pay back in the end.
Our biggest disappointment was the statement, "We want to make sure the bride and groom are able to relax on the day of the wedding and do nothing." After my insistance upon meeting with the coordinator assigned (2 weeks before, contrary to the month promised) it finally happened. I was scheduled to meet with someone whom I found out later wasn't assigned to our wedding. So I ended up having a meeting with the actual person later that evening. During that process we discussed who was in the ceremony, the order of the ceremony and reception, etc. All written down and discussed in detail. The day of the wedding I the bride, the groom, and my mother all had to take care of things in the facility. I was asked how the ceremony was supposed to go, what was next in the reception, who was going to what, etc. etc. My mom was so flustered and upset she ended up fussing the whole day. I cried about that not knowing what I did. There was no relaxation on the day of the wedding and at 5pm, our wedding was at 6pm, we were helping to set up things. The timetable was not kept and our send off ended up being the bridal party and immediate family only. Everyones lemonade was totally watered down because it sat during the ceremony. They asked if they could set it up before but we assumed that meant right before, not hours before. Everyones food was cold, including the brides, who doesn't eat cold or lukewarm food, even at home. The last straw was that my mom, my husband, myself, the bridal party and remaining guests were cleaning up. The wine glasses we rented at the last minute because we weren't told that they weren't provided ended up dirty in the crates we brought them in and 3 were broken. We don't know what happened to our left over wine and the service staff acted as if they didn't want to be bothered.
What was good:
Our family, friends and co-workers were there. The ceremony was beautiful and the minister, Nate Hearne was great. We couldn't have wished for a better crowd and the time we had to dance was fun. Although you couldn't meet more loving people, shop around or you will be a bridezilla, husbandzilla or parentzilla. -

Run for the hills
RUN! The venue itself is beautiful but the staff and organization was the worst. The service was extremely poor. They unilaterally changed the contract terms but we had to go with it because it was it was a month before my wedding before we were finally able to get in touch with them. They're only open 3 days per week so getting in touch with them by phone or in person was extremely difficult. Louise created my contract and lied about what was included. She was never available - only that one day to sucker us into this contract. We attempted to speak with her a million times, each time she was "unavailable." We were advised that they changed their terms/packages 1 or 2 days before we signed our contract yet we weren't advised of that and in fact our contract is for "prior terms" the Louise confirmed we would receive. We paid for the BEST package which included everything: food, DJ, décor etc. Later we were contacted and told that we still had to pay for food even though we paid extra by purchasing the best package and food was supposed to be included. We ended up having to pay the caterer separately. We didn't get food or décor settled until 2 WEEKS before the wedding. The best package was also supposed to include the BEST décor. It too was subpar. I wouldn't recommend this venue to anyone unless you like to be stressed during wedding planning. I thought I was minimizing my stress by going with this venue since EVERYTHING was supposed to be included in the package we purchased. I was wrong. -

Brides BeWare Horrible Wedding Venue
Please beware Brides this venue is very unprofessional and will ruin your wedding day. Our wedding was impacted by Covid and we were treated like a number. First the venue will lie and bait you in with Ms.Ruby who will sell you a dream wedding day as you view the venue. Then you will have to work with Louise the manager who will treat you like a number and also lie about everything and spring tons of fees on you days before your special day. She is super unprofessional and seems to hate her job. Imagine being promised a event coordinator the day of your wedding, a personalized sign on the marquee, only needing one security guard for 50 people serving alcohol, gazebo chairs placed correctly and a clean ballroom arranged as you requested. Mr.Jackson and Mrs.Jackson (the owners) lied to us and none of this was arranged for our wedding as they promised. Neither one of them greeted us or congratulated us on our wedding day. There was not any event coordinator to help us as promised. The wedding started at 3pm Mr.Jackson decided to put the marquee signup at 2:55pm so all of our wedding guest saw the previous couples name up on the marquee when they drove in for our wedding. Super sad that they would not have the venue clean and set up as promised. There were crumbs under the tables from the previous event which means they did not clean the venue which should be a violation especially with the Coronavirus. Initially Louise advised that we would need only one security guard for 50 guests serving alcohol and to bring a money order the day of the event. Then 2 days before our wedding Louise called to say we would need 2 security guards and they would need the money 2 days before the event. Nakayshions will also overcharge you for their bartender service and the horse and carriage ride just book directly with those vendors you will save more and no stress added! Nakayshions is poorly run, rude and has no customer service skills. What Bride wants to be misadvised over and over again? What a disservice and horrible negative experience for us. I would not recommend anyone to book with this venue. They will lie to you and overcharge you! Brides please take heed your special day is not worth the stress and disappointment this venue will inflict. -

To this day I am still traumatized and hoping to one day have a real wedding. This was one of the most stressful events of my life. If only I had read reviews listed here and on many otner websites before I booked this event. They were previewed on The Four Weddings TV show however their review was not good onthe show(and they have the nerve to listit in their website!) The only favorable thing was the absolute beauty of the venue. My story is quite unbelievable. I should have thought twice being that am acquainted with one of their immediate family members and knowing I was searching for a venue did not recommend this place! My wedding was on a two month plan that they insisted was routine. they changed my "coordinator" three times during this time and my caterer three times! I by this time was physically ill! The last caterer was assigned the Wednesday before my Saturday wedding and of course the food was horribly bland thrown together and inedible. When I entered the reception hall I could smell that something had burned or scorched. Several guest unable to find the coordinator(where was she?) came to me with plates of food covered with a very evident scorched sauce! We had to call the cook out(again where was the coordinator?) and ask about the sauce. He admitted to scorching it because the wedding didnt start on time..WHAT? First of all we were fifteen minutes off because of a misplaced item however Olive Garden keeps sauces all day for incoming customers and they don't burn it. I found out later the caterers were declining services because they did not have the funds topay them. They wanted the caterer to provide all the foods and services and be paid after the event. What professional would agree to such? What happened tothe money we paid them? They simply have money and pay bills as they receive monies. They even became enraged because I contacted the caterer about MY wedding...It all makes sense now! The final caterer finally told me he only received a portion of what I paid per plate. How could you be one of Gods children and practice(not accidentally) ruin someones once ina lifetime chance? If it were an accident you would not be able to go onto so many websites and read about the almost identical problems. Mrs. Jackson told me herself after this disaster they were revisiting the idea of allowing brides to use the venue and bring in their own caterers. This would be a much better idea however they could not then skim money from various providers. My coordinator later admitted that she was absent due to having a emotional break down in the back(that should have been reserved for me) She said after all of the problems I had already experienced and finding the food ruined she lost it! In addition to all this the church was hot, my video was ruined due to poor lighting, the mikes kept messing up in chapel(just as I have read in other reviews) They gave a tour the day of my wedding! YES a tour bring the female and MALE throughthe back while we were getting dressed and one of the TOURIST accidentally stepped ona bridesmaids dress, none of the bridal party got to eat, when arriving at the social (in place of rehearsal dinner) there was one small cheese ball one package (if that) of crackers, a dozen cookies and a bowl of peanuts&dinner mints! We had all of these guest and I was beyond embarassed. They promised finger foods etc. If anyone should know better they should. This was not for a toddler this was for a wedding! There was not one hot item provided nor enough for the amount of people present. They kept calling me at work with problems and changes....I was out of time....invitations were out and I was totally crushed....to this day I continue to meet people who have booked here and been burned or people who are considering it and by the grace of God ( who is the center of my life)meet me and are saved from disaster. In closing all I can do is pray that God touches the Jackson and they will go back through their files...call each wronged couple...and ask for forgiveness...God forgives us all and we are required to forgive others....They have a beautiful place....they do not have the finances to properly support it...or the integrity required to sustain it....I personally printed many many complaints against them and presented them in person.....their response...You can't please everybody...people are always going to have something to say! I then asked how is it these same things just happened to me and I dont know any of these people and had not read these complaints before my wedding?
No response......Brides we need to get together and find us an attorney to represent us.....I just read another recent complaint this cannot keep happening...its criminal at this point... -
