Magnificent!
Mystical Sounds Productions is by far the best lighting/ sound/ production in Hawaii. Joe is extremely professional and responsive. We were on a tight budget and he was able to give us creative ideas to meet our needs, execute our vision and stay on budget. We had our wedding in Paliku Gardens at Kualoa Ranch and booked Mysitical Sound Productions as suggested by Kualoa. Our first communication with Joe was by phone and he was friendly and easy to talk to. From our one conversation he knew exactly what we wanted. We liked the variety of music him and his team played. He asked us for a list of music we wanted and a list of music we didn't want to hear. MSP had great timing and professionalism. Joe even MC'd some of the night which was awesome! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Joe and his team catered to our taste so easily and were so organised. As we were from Australia they were highly recommended by our wedding planner, we went with it and are so happy we did.
Our guests raved that the music was fantastic. My partner is from samoan background and they also catered to those needs.
Cant recommend them enough. You will not be sorry.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Joe Ho and Mystical Sounds Productions, did the video disco and uplighting at our wedding at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. I would highly recommend them. There professionalism is unmatched. And I know because I am very familiar with the industry, being that I was a part of it many years ago. Joe an his staff went above and beyond for our wedding!!! His team not only made sure the sound for our ceremony was perfect but he also did an exceptional job at our reception which had live performances. Hands down the best sound and lighting company in Hawaii. The up-lighting transformed our ballroom into a grand reception area, during video presentations we had these gorgeous "stars" light up the ceiling, and our guests loved the lighting effects during the dancing.
When we had our first dance, the fog that filled the dance floor made us feel like we were dancing on the clouds. Mystical Sounds truly made our wedding extra magical! Their attention to detail and professionalism put me at ease and I didn't have to worry about them once. It was flawless and I would HIGHLY recommend MSP for any function, they were worth every penny for our dream wedding.Joe an his staff went above and beyond for our wedding!!! Our wedding was fantastic thanks to Joe and Matt our reception was exceptional with music suited to our tastes and our guests. The lighting added to the extra effects of what was already an amazing day!!! We travelled from Australia to marry in beautiful Hawaii. I have known Joe Ho since high school -- a LONG time ago. Throughout the years and his many successes, he is the same person inside and out.
We were disorganized (to say the least) and were on a budget. We knew we wanted good music and entertainment for the wedding, but were well aware that champagne taste on a beer budget is never good.
We are fortunate to be friends with Darren Porlas (formerly the lead singer of Chant) who was gracious enough to commit as our "wedding singer" (who,by the way, got rave reviews and everyone was asking about), but we still needed a dee-jay and emcee. Enter Joe Ho.
The thing about Joe is that he is very genuine. What you see is what you get. No facade, no games. He tells you how it is and is real about things. He got us our emcee in about fifteen minutes by calling him while we sat in front of him in the "VIP room" upstairs at The Wedding Cafe. Slick Vic, who my husband wanted, was booked for another venue, but squeezed us in between his gigs that day for Joe.
I don't know why I waited so long to contact Joe. He is well-connected and respected because he is the best at what he does, but remains humble. No one else in Hawaii does it like he does. Our reception was awesome because of him. Mystical Sounds had several other gigs the same evening, but he made sure to stop by to our wedding to wish us well.
On a side note, one of the musicians from Darren's band left some instruments behind at the hotel ballroom. Joe called me and we got him in touch with Darren. Joe actually delivered them to Darren! This is how cool he is.
Joe is the best at what he does because he truly cares about people. Thanks Joe for making our wedding a wonderful and memorable night!

We love the owner Joe Ho so we gave him creative freedom for our big day with song selections for the major events of the wedding and the dancing, with the lighting and the set up. Everyone loved it! If you want your event to run smoothly just hire these guys. They are professional, know the business inside and out and provide great service. He answered all of our questions on Skype and even met with me a couple times in person the week of. He followed our guidelines exactly and chose the perfect music to fill in the gaps. Being able to get all of these things from one vendor eliminated the stress of coordinating wtih many different companies. Joe was also flexible in meeting with me and offered suggestions and ideas that I hadn't even thought of. Having Mystical Sounds as part of my wedding team transformed my reception into an event that everyone who attened will remember! Mystical Sound productions did an awesome job at our wedding this weekend 1/15/11. From the up-lighting of the entire Waikiki Ballroom at the Hale Koa Hotel to the great music they played all night long. All we heard from our guests was how beautiful the room looked with the pink and red lights. Our backdrop behind the head table was a great addition to the pictures we took of our bridal party. The drapes, lighting, monogram with our names, and the star galaxy made the background perfect. Working with Joe Ho was extremely easy, he was always available to meet if I had any concerns or questions regarding the night… And very professional. We recommend Mystical Sounds for any party, wedding, or get-together if you want an unforgettable look and great dancing music.

After meeting Joe at the 09 January Wedding Expo, we knew we had to book Mystical Sounds as our DJ and uplighting vendor. While in the process of wedding planning, Joe was always willing to offer new ideas that would make our wedding reception memorable for us as well as our guests. Needless to say Mystical Sounds has the best uplighting equipment!!! Our ballroom was transformed right before our eyes and our expectations were exceeded. The DJ did an awesome job at keeping the vibe alive and played all our requested songs with no problems. I called Joe and asked if he could play music during the ceremony since I couldn't get in touch with my other musician. At the last minute they were able to provide all sound equipment in my garden where the ceremony was held. He saved us from a disaster of having no music during the ceremony. We had the pleasure of working with Joe and his team for our wedding and all we have to say is that people walked away with a great experience! Everyone had such a great time from the little keiki's to my grandmother who was shaking her tail feather on the dance floor throughout the night! LOL! The wedding was definitely a night to remember and people were talking about it days later. From the first time we met Joe; he offered us some great advice and encouraged us to make the evening OURS. His team maintained professionalism throughout the event, flexible and very responsive to our needs. They also came very prepared with some extra equipment which was excellent service since we had some last minute performers. The sound was great quality and worth every penny. His team maintained professionalism throughout the event, flexible and very responsive to our needs. They also came very prepared with some extra equipment which was excellent service since we had some last minute performers. The sound was great quality and worth every penny. I would definitely use their service again if ever in Hawaii! -

I had the pleasure of working with Joe (and Mystical Sounds) for my cousins wedding back in November 2009. From the get go, the entire staff was accessible, dependable, reliable and in the end, perfect! Everything that night went as smoothly as possible and I not once worried (nor did the bride/groom). I am seriously thinking about continuing party planning (as a FT career) and for any future requests, I of course will not hesitate in contacting Mystical Sounds because every bride and/or guest of honor, deserves the best. And that's what Joe and his team are! I have used Mystical Sounds twice already and i really do have to say they are worth every penny. From their equipment to the services they provide they made my wedding the best day of my life. We had B.E.T. perform at our wedding and Mystical sounds had everything they needed for them to set the party off right. If you want to hire them for your wedding, graduation or whatever the case may be ask Joe about his galaxy lighting, it really will be the most beautiful accent of your party, they even have these awesome uplights which can be placed behind your wedding party in a variety of colors to either match or accentuate your bridal party colors. Honestly if you want a top notch experience in which you don't have to worry about a thing call Mr. Joe Ho and he will get your party hooked up and it will have your friends talking about it for years to come. Joe met with us on multiple occasions so he could show all us that he had to offer. He has the most up to date music, excellent equipment to provide clarity in sounds, uplighting (which truly accentuates your event), and galaxy lighting that makes your event feel out of this world! Joe will cater to your needs and also provide you with ideas when you may not have any. On the day of our wedding, Joe and his team were extremely efficient in making sure the sounds at our reception were covered. We booked MSP following a recommendation from a friend for uplighting, monogram, universal lighting and DJ services. We thought they did a great job at all tasks. The DJs were friendly & knew which music people responded to and adapted as needed. Joe is also very easy to work with, he takes the time to meet with you and show you his products. Their price point is a bit higher than other companies but we felt it was worth the cost.
