Having our reception at Mystic Lake Event Center was hands down, our best decision of our wedding day! As a couple new to event planning and unsure of where to start, the Mystic Lake Staff made the process of putting our dream wedding together so simple, flawless and FUN! Lindsay and Brooke were wonderful to work with and we felt like they were our biggest fans the whole time, always so energetic and excited about our big day! During the whole planning period, they made it seem like our day was THE most important event, and everything that came up was handled professionally and quickly. Lindsay and Brooke had wonderful communication, and made sure we felt confident going into our day! Everything from the large details, to the teeny tiny small details, were handled with care, and we knew we were in great hands the whole time! There was a team of people that we were introduced to before the wedding day, which was nice to know all the helping hands going into the event! To us, our day was perfect, and we have heard so many of our guests RAVE about what a perfect venue it was! The food was hot and delicious, the lighting and sound was on point, the servers and staff for the night (and the whole planning process) were friendly and extremely helpful! Our list could go on and on, but truly, we couldn't be happier with our decision to have our reception at Mystic!

Cannot recommend Mystic Lake Center, Lindsay, Defil, Jordan, and the chefs/staff enough! Despite the pandemic chaos, restrictions were lifted the night before our wedding and we had the most wonderful reception at MLC on 5/29/21.

The staff is extremely knowledgable and professional. The amenities and stay for nearly 100% out of state/town guest was top notch! They were extremely flexible with us, and hung along with us through every step of the way while we planned every possible outcome of a covid-19 wedding reception and beyond.

Besides the beautiful spaces and opportunities, it was extremely important for me to find a venue that would offer a GF/DF/NF menu for myself and many of our guests. This was not a problem whatsoever and they made sure we had something delicious and unique to accommodate all. The only blip was that the wrong potatoes were served versus what we selected at our tasting - not a huge deal!

There are so many options in terms of space, decor, set up, menu, and ultimately inclusive price point options. We had so many compliments from our guests who not only loved the reception, but their entire stay at Mystic Lake during Memorial Day Weekend! Schedule a consult, tour, or call with these folks, you won't regret it! :)

Mystic Lake did a wonderful job! Quick responses ! Flexible and accommodating! Brooke and her team were great . Followed up quickly if I had questions . The staff was very supportive when I had to cancel last year due to Covid and reschedule . Food was delicious! Beautiful area to have a wedding!. Highly recommend them .

Choosing Mystic Lake Center for our wedding was the best decision ever! Having the ceremony, reception and hotel all in one place was so convenient. Brooke was absolutely amazing! She was there for every step and detail. Brooke responded to my emails quickly and we definitely had some world record email chains going. She provided insight and opinion when we were undecided on something. We got introduced to several people that were going to help on our wedding day; it was nice to know faces before the day of. THE FOOD!!! Oh my gosh, we can't say enough on how good the food was. From the appetizers to the salad to the main entree and of course the dessert, all so delicious. We received so many compliments and that it was still hot when served. It is still being talked about weeks after our wedding! Several guests commented on how nice and attentive the servers and staff were. If you are at all interested in having your wedding at Mystic Lake Center, do it! We can't thank Mystic Lake enough for everything, they made our wedding perfect and unforgettable!

We had been planning to celebrate our wedding here for almost 2 years and worked with various people throughout the process. Everyone we worked with was super helpful and answered all of our questions. They were very clear about pricing and expectations. We were in the Waconia Ballroom for our Ceremony & Reception. The Mystic Lake team made our vision come true and I cannot recommend them enough!!

Jennifer and her staff are absolutely incredible! They helped us plan our dream wedding and it was better than anything we imagined. I had no idea where to start when it came to planning a wedding but we were in good hands here! Everything from the food to the decorations to the customer service and beyond was amazing. Our guests are still raving about the food and how beautiful the venue was. Seriously a dream come true! We are so grateful for the staff and our experience here. It was an added bonus that we could keep the party going after midnight and hangout in the casino and grab a late night snack with our friends. Our bride and groom hotel suite was amazing. Truly every detail was thought out and accounted for.

The staff helped make our special day go off without a hitch! Everything was truly wonderful! Our guests also had wonderful things to say about their experience. No matter where we were on the property, everyone was real helpful and gave us a great experience. Food and service were on point.

Brooke was wonderful! She helped us with absolutely everything and made it so easy and stress-free! Our wedding reception was the least of our worries. She helped us work out all the details and was always very responsive. She answered all our (many) questions. And she was there making sure everything went perfectly. We could not have had a better experience!

We held my daughters wedding on 12/1/18 at Mystic Lake Events Center. Beautiful location, large ballrooms, phenomenal decor. All aspects of rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, food, staff all exceeded my expectations. Everyone raved about the event!! Do not hesitate to have your wedding/reception there it’s truly a wonderful venue.

I had my wedding here at Mystic Lake Event Center in December 1st and it was everything I had dreamed of and more. The event staff were with me every step of the way and made it such a stress free and fun experience! We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception all in the new Mystic Lake Event Center. It was so perfect. So modern in appearance and flexible with whatever wedding theme I had in mind. They made it work and would go above and beyond to meet my needs or requests. I wish I could relive that day everyday as it was so amazing and I have to thank Mystic Lake for that!

Having our wedding at Mystic was the best decision my husband and I made. It is a one stop shop for everything, from ceremony venue to reception to food and alcohol and hotel room blocks. Mystic also provided a lot of the decoration and table linens that you do not have to worry about renting from other places! Mystic was great from the beginning, working with Lindsay and then with Brooke. They both understood what we wanted and went above and beyond our expectations. They juggled the 3 weddings on that day along with the POW WOW going on that weekend without a hitch! The venue looked amazing with all of their decorations. Appetizers tasted amazing, and the food and cake even better! We had a doughnut display and it all turned our exactly as we had planned it. I definitely recommend Mystic Lake and their team for anyone's wedding!

All in one location! Guests commented on how nice it was to have the ceremony, social hour and reception all within the same area. Lindsay, the event coordinator, was absolutely phenomenal. Both my husband and I were very happy with her work, responsiveness and friendly attitude. She made planning a wedding far less stressful than it could have been.

Hi my name is Ashley, my husband Jeff and I got married at Mystic lake 8/18/18. We had the most amazing wedding there! Wedding planning was a breeze with Lindsay Frank, the wedding cordinator there. We would show up to our meetings with a list of questions and before we could even ask them, she answered them. Everytime I emailed her I had a response soon after. She was always clear, detail oriented, supportive, and made the whole process so fun! Honestly I dont think you could find a better person for the job! The reception and cocktail hour was beautiful. The food tasted amazing, the staff was alway attentive and helpful, really everything they do it above and beyond! I really recommend having your wedding here, all our guests were blown away and said they had so much fun, it was a day we are going to remember forever. Thank you so much Mystic lake, Lindsay Frank and Staff. We appreciate everything you did to make it a special day!

My son and daughter-in-law had their wedding on 7/14/18. Lindsay Frank, her team Brooke, chef Jason, Banquet manager, bartenders and servers were excellent! We were treated like we were the only wedding that mattered! Lindsay made herself available any time I emailed or text. Our ballroom was beautiful, food was great and they would fix changes we made and never gave us a hard time. I cannot say enough! Professionalism, kindness, and helping me to work with my budget for Grooms dinner and help surprise the bride and groom that night with the Street Tacos and pasta bar! Rooms were beautiful, spa was great. I will miss working with this team!!!! Lindsay is the best

You MUST have your wedding here! I got married on July 14, 2018 at the NEW Mystic Lake center. My ceremony was in the Anoka ballroom and my reception was in the Waconia ballroom. Both spaces were absolutely beautiful and very spacious! My husband and I booked back in January of 2017 when the new space wasn't even finished. We met with Lindsay Frank and she sold us on the new space! Lindsay was an absolute pleasure to work with! She worked with us all the way through our wedding day to make sure my day was perfect, and it was!!! She is so personal and understanding. she has great feed back and is easy to get a hold of! she is your own personal wedding coordinator (the perks of booking with them). now, Brooke is there with Lindsay too, so you get a two for one deal! they are amazing! it made the wedding planning process a breeze! Idk what I would have done with out them? they worked around the clock for us answering and getting anything we needed. we also had our rehearsal dinner in the new space in one of the ceremony rooms on Friday night and everything from the food, drinks, and staff were fabulous! we couldn't believe how friendly everyone was! we did the taco, pasta, bread, and dessert bar for our rehearsal dinner. on wedding day we had the sit down dinner with the choices of salmon, chicken, and short ribs (it was absolutely delicious btw)! booking at mystic may seem more on the spendy side, but you are getting a lot!!! we had food at cocktail hour, a 3 course dinner including dessert, and late night snacks (BYO burgers and fries). the nice thing about mystic is everything is all right there! get there Friday, have rehearsal and dinner, go to the casino, go golfing, go to Canterbury park, go swimming, then have ceremony and reception, get a room in the new promenade tower... it is all so convienent, which is nice for your guests! I had the time of my life! if I had to do it all over again it would be 100% at the Mystic Lake Center!!! :)

We had our wedding at Mystic Lake Event Center on 2/17/18. Wow. It was perfect-o. Fun environment and perfect for out of town guests if you're looking for all of your wedding festivities to be in one place (especially in the winter).
Beautiful. So fun. We wish we could put the night on repeat. The venue is gorgeous. All of the employees we encountered were kind and accommodating. We don't know how they did it all and it was outstanding. Lindsay is an absolute treasure. She is fun and full of cheer & happiness and oh so organized and responsive. She takes care of everything - the smallest of details that a couple wouldn't even know to think of. Now that the wedding is over, I really miss her! She made planning fun and stress-free. If we were to plan our wedding all over again, we would not change even one single thing. Thank you Mystic! Thank you Lindsay!

We worked with Lindsay for our wedding at Mystic Lake on 12/16/17 and she was amazing! Last minute changes/tweaks the day before were not a problem, and the of went very smoothly. The cake was beautiful, the décor was gorgeous and everyone had a wonderful time! Highly recommend for any events!

We planned our November 2017 wedding rather quickly, so there was a little angst about the timeline, however, Lindsay, our wedding planner, made it an easy, stressful process. Not only was she professional and efficient, she made planning fun! She offered ideas, suggestions, and feedback to ensure that our day was perfect down to the smallest details!! The hotel and event staff were also helpful and professional. We had a cocktail party-style reception and Lindsay offered food options that worked well and everyone liked. The wedding cake made by the Mystic pastry chef was amazing! Thank you, Lindsay, for making our day perfect!!

Lindsay was our Event Coordinator and it is not even possible for me to explain fully how AMAZING she was! She was always on top of everything down to the smallest details. Lindsay, our wedding coordinator at Mystic was wonderful and we can't thank her enough for making our special day go without a hitch. It was a stress free day, with the exception of the normal wedding day jitters. All our guests raved about the food station idea, pasta & fajitas with salad bar. The cake with raspberry filling was also amazing. We would highly suggest this option, since it gives your guests lots of options.

My husband and I had a great time planning our wedding and everything was perfect!! The food was amazing. People told us all night it was the best food. We worked with Lindsay on coordinating everything and it was stress free and easy!! Would highly recommend this venue to all of our family and friends. People really appreciated having everything right there as well. Not having to worry about transportation was huge :) plus, the rooms were clean and spacious!!

We are SO happy we had our reception here. The place is beautiful and the people who ran our wedding did so amazing. Nothing went wrong, everything was perfect and exactly what we wanted to the very last detail. I would recommend ANYONE have their reception here.

My husband and I had our wedding reception and gift opening at the Mystic Lake Center. We worked with Brooke for months to set up our wedding. She got back to me quickly, was very detail oriented, and made our day extremely successful. She was very accommodating to any of my changes and for making things work with my schedule. The only ding on this review is our bartender Kurt during the reception. I had almost every guest who bought alcohol complain about him being rude to my guests. Luckily, Hibbert was helping out that night and was extremely personable and helpful. Overall, our experience was amazing and I'd recommend to anyone to have their event here.

The Mystic Lake Center was exactly what we were looking for in a venue! The team there took a lot of stress out of planning and executing an event, and they were very friendly along the way. We would definitely recommend to anyone, and we received a lot of positive feedback from our guests.

We had Jennifer Christenson as our wedding coordinator and she was wonderful! She was very quick to respond to any of the questions that we had and she took all of our suggestions and used them to create a wonderful space for us for our wedding reception! The decorations were beautiful, though a bit expensive, and the food and cake were absolutely delicious! The only issues that we encountered surrounded our free bar hour, as many guests were not able to get through the line in that amount of time despite waiting in line at the bar for the full hour and became frustrated. Overall, Mystic Lake was a wonderful choice for our wedding venue!!

We had a fantastic time having our reception at Mystic! Even though the even coordinator changed a week before our wedding, we were very pleased with the attentiveness of the staff upon our final meeting. Everyone loved the food and found their room accommodations to be fantastic! Thank you so much for providing such a top of the line service.

We had our reception at Mystic Lake Casino & Hotel. It was a pleasure working with Lindsay and Jennifer. They paid attention to every detail, and were accessible through the entire process. The planning was easy and they had all the bases covered. We were very pleased with the food, beverage service and elegant atmosphere that was created for our reception.

We booked our wedding during the beginning of the Covid pandemic and everything was great right away. But the communication started to get bad once the original planner came back and the person we were originally working with didn't tell us. We ended up changing our date because they overbooked our wedding weekend, communication wasn't the best, and we ended up not keeping our cake because nobody told us to grab it or when to grab it. Plus the servers who served the food were super rude.

BUT... everything else was amazing. It was beautiful, easy to get to, we didn't have to worry about hiring other vendors because they had some for us to work with, and they accommodated with us very well.

One of our guests received salad with nuts even though we specified no nuts and had a note at his table saying no nuts. Our cake was white and red instead of gold and red which we asked for. We had lots of issues with the bar because they didn’t know the brides drink and we asked multiple times to be notified when the bar was close to the open bar limit and received no communication when it was close to limit or even when it switched to cash bar. We pre paid 22% tip per drink and the bartender still had tip jar in in front so our guests paid additional tips even though our coordinator said they would not have a tip bar unless it was a cash only bar. The venue was a very beautiful location and the dj was amazing but the service was not good.

The setup was nice but foods were terrible, rice was not even cooked, duck meat still raw, fish is not fresh and cold when served. 0 star for quality of foods. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!!
