Shawn was the BEST! Definitely the most expensive DJ services, however, if you want to keep the party going... it's worth it.

I can not say enough wonderful things about David Friedman and DJ Wilmington! When we booked DJ Wilmington for our wedding it went smoothly... once we paid our deposit we went to the website and entered all of the important songs my husband and I wanted there... along with music that we knew our friends and family would enjoy. A few days before our wedding, as my panic level is rising trying to make sure everything is perfect, I had a phone call with David that made me feel so much better. He called to get an idea of the importance of the songs, what we wanted played during certain times of our reception, and dance songs that I left out of the online form. I guess he could sense how I was feeling a little overwhelmed because he stressed that this was my day and that his job was to make my life easier. He wanted me to focus on having a good time, on remembering all of the special moments, and enjoy making them. He must have said that two or three times. He promised he'd work with the photographer and the event coordinator during the wedding and reception, that he didn't want me to panic or stress... I got off that 45 minute phone call and told my then-fiance that I really liked David. That it was worth every penny knowing I didn't have to worry about the music and when to queue what where. We had several compliments on him at our reception and afterwards... and in person he was just as nice of a guy. If you need a DJ who is going to act genuine and make you feel like you are the most important client ever... talk to DJ Wilmington. I can tell you, from our experience, you won't regret it. Thanks again, David. You ROCKED! :)

We used DJ Wilmington for our reception DJ, lighting, videography and Photo Booth! I loved that they were like a "one stop shop." During the planning process, it was stressful for me to have multiple vendors to stay in touch with. It was awesome that DJ Wilmington was able to offer many services with just one contact person.

We were so pleased with our DJ. Adam did an exceptional job and really kept the party going. I loved the lighting on the dance floor and the flow of the evening. I never felt like there was a lull or any downtime.

Brian did a great job with our lighting. It was exactly what I envisioned.

David was such a pleasure to work with and really took a lot a stress off me in this department of the wedding. I was pretty worried about the music that was going to be played due to my husband and I's very diverse music tastes. David gave us a helpful questionnaire to outline our favorite wedding songs and that along with his amazing DJ skill, pulled together a spectacular evening of fun & dancing. The ceremony music, all the way thru to the reception was absolutely perfect and everyone had a blast! My husband, along with many other guests, made comments throughout the evening of how much they enjoyed his presence and song selection.

David was very enthusiastic and outgoing. All of the announcements were perfect and he is the best DJ I have seen at any event. We completed a simple questionnaire which helped to ensure that the music and tone stayed true to our playlist.

We used DJ Professional and Video for our April wedding reception. We worked with Kerry. He did an awesome job keeping the party going throughout the evening. He was very accommodating for a few special requests that we had for the reception. He was very professional and friendly with the guests.

The djs we had for our wedding were amazing! They were a lot of fun and they definitely made the reception. They did a great job at following the flow and going with it. They also are very easy to work with!

Doug was the DJ for our reception at the River Room, he was professional, responsive and fun. He was on cue for every phase of the reception, from introductions to last dance. Very nice, and a great DJ, our families danced up a storm and had a great time, it wasn't just a wedding, it was a party! I wouldn't change a thing, our night was perfect.

DJ Doug was a fantastic addition to our vendor line up! He was dedicated to choosing music our guests enjoyed and kept everyone dancing all night! We had four generations present so that was quite an accomplishment! He kept things flowing, narrated our evening nicely. Things were well paced and absolutely perfect! DJ Doug took pride in his work and getting the details just right!!!

We used the DJ services and videography for our May wedding. Both the DJ and videographers were beyond amazing! First, let me say I was a terrible bride. I planned everything, but did not tell the vendors the specifics of what we/I wanted until the week prior (if not even later than that!) With that being said, the DJ still had every song request we wanted ready on our day, and the videographers were so patient with our last minute plans of where we were going to be on our wedding day so they could capture our "getting ready" moments. We are not a (good) dancing couple, nor are any of our friends AMAZING at dancing, but the DJ knew exactly what to play to keep our wedding fun, and full of dancers! The videographers worked amazing with our photographer in sharing ideal spots to capture memories but never getting in the way of the wedding celebration. We did not like the idea of "posed" pictures/moments and the videographers did a great job of always being around but never in the way. We are still waiting for our video, but are 110% positive they will do an amazing job with the final product as they did the day of our wedding (especially because they posted a few sneak-peak-still-shots from our day on their webpage). The videography was a last minute decision, but probably one that will preserve the memories of our big day forever :) Highly recommend the DJ and videographers from DJ Professionals.

David was an amazing DJ. He played all of the songs that we wanted and kept the flow of the reception going. He has a very good feel for the crowd and when to cut songs off. He was very friendly and energetic and amazing to work with. I would highly recommend David and DJ Professionals.

Our experience with the DJ Doug and Videographer Ben was AMAZING! They were so helpful and informative. The professionalism was outstanding and they made my day perfect. I HIGHLY recommend not only this company but also these two people specifically!!! All of our guests loved the DJ especially my nephew who apparently wants to become one now.

Eric worked my wedding on Bald Head Island in May and we could not have been happier! He is so professional and has such a wonderful personality and sense of humor, you can't help but love this guy! Planning a wedding can be SO stressful, but when you have amazing vendors that can set your mind at ease, it makes it a whole lot easier and enjoyable! And that is exactly what Eric did. If I could hire him for every birthday, anniversary or get together... I would! :) You will not be disappointed!

DJ Professionals was a pleasure to do business with throughout the entire process of our marriage and during the reception at The RiverRoom. Everyone was personable and can work with you and all your needs.
During the reception our DJ, Eric, was very friendly and courteous and stayed professional the entire night. He made sure our night was special, lively, and fun. He kept the reception flowing smoothly all night.
The next night our families went out to dinner and the number one topic at the table that night was how great the music and DJ were.
We both want to give a big thanks to everyone at DJ Professionals for giving us a wonderful reception!

Loved Eric!
We had a list of song to play and NOT play and he did a great job with keeping our guests dancing, while avoiding the "no play" songs.
Eric was so pleasant, nice, funny, and as I mentioned, kept the party going. Any song you need, he can get. His energy made our wedding reception just that more fun.

I am an Events & Wedding Planner for a golf & country club in NC and I have worked with Eric of DJ Professionals on a number of occasions. So when it came time for my wedding this past September, contacting Eric was a no-brainer. He kept our guests dancing the night away, as usual. I was so happy to get our pictures and discover that our photographer had captured a slew of hilarious dance pictures, all proof of Eric's amazing DJ-ing. I would definitely recommend Eric of DJ Professionals (and do quite often) for anyone looking for a DJ!

Guests didn't leave the dance floor including myself! With just giving an idea of what to play, Eric did not disappoint! Every song choice was perfect. From the cocktail hour, to dinner, and into dancing everything fit.

David DJ'd our wedding and he was awesome. He kept the crowd interested and had all of our variety of music we requested. He was very fun to work with. He was very personable and was incredibly genuine. We were pretty bummed about the rain on our wedding day and he was very interested in making sure he made our day perfect. DJ Professional is TOP NOTCH! Matt was our DJ for the ceremony and reception. He was 2 steps ahead on everything. He suggested ideas to me, and guided the entire day- couldn't have asked for more! The music was perfect and the transitioning was perfect- we had a lot of dfferent songs in the ceremony and he made it all happen exactly how we envisioned! I am beyond pleased with their service. They also provided the lighting at the reception which was so beautiful- everything was 150% PERFECT

I LOVED dj Eric from DJ professionals! I am getting so many compliments about how great the DJ was... everyone was on the dance floor not to mention I did not get off the dance floor once. During our couples dance he was able to tell when we wanted to stop and ended the song. We had a lot of young people and a lot of older people at our wedding and he knew exactly what was the right songs to play and if we had requests that he didn't have he got the songs within 10minutes. I don't think our wedding reception would be as fun as it was without DJ professionals.

DJ Professionals has a great "Party Planner" feature on their website, which helps you get the information to your DJ when you get it. I would add a couple of things at a time instead of having to devulge all the information at once (i.e. first dance song, songs to avoid, names of people being introduced, etc.). Once there, Eric was amazing! He made sure he played music that kept everyone on the dance floor the whole time! I don't normally dance but I stayed out there the majority of the reception. We had an early afternoon wedding (12-4) but we had a blast like it was an evening wedding. Thank you Eric and the DJ Professionals team!

Brunswick Community College would like to share with you the amazing
entertainment provided by DJ Professionals and Video during our Community &
Campus Scholarship Fund Drive! I called on Nick Arbia of DJ Professional and
Video to work with me on hosting a Brunswick Community College Idol contest
in order to raise money for student scholarships. I was completely surprised to
see the elaborate work put into the stage! He brought professional lighting and
sound that made this contest amazing! We even had a spotlight to follow them
as they walked through the crowd! It was the next best thing than being on
American Idol! This event was the most attended student activity ever during
our Campus Fund Drive! Staff, Faculty and students are still talking about this
event! Nick was an incredible MC and everyone had the best time! I would
definitely recommend them for any party!!

Contest a "big hit"! You made our students feel like" stars"!

While Rob and I were on our honeymoon we spent hours reflecting on the
wedding and I wanted to share with you our thoughts on your performance.
You were beyond prompt, completely on your game, and from the get go
reassured me that I had nothing to worry about when it came to our music and
MC service. Your energy was infectious and I loved that you danced. You
were charming, funny, personable, and approachable. You had such a nice
voice and gentle but assertive way of making sure the night went as planned. I
thought you read the crowd beautifully as your song choices flowed smoothly
into what felt right for the moment. I danced so hard that I threw away my shoes
because they were so scuffed and filthy. I enjoyed the night so much and you
were a big part of what will stay etched in my memory which was that everyone
had a blast at my wedding. I am so grateful that you were chosen as the perfect
fit for me and thank you for providing such quality entertainment. I can't tell you
enough how much I appreciated your enthusiasm and it totally rubbed off on my
guests. You are such a pro and you really delivered.

We Used DJ professionals for our wedding last November. They were able to do everything my husband and I wanted. Microphone and music at the ceremony location in a park with no electricity..No Problem for them. Then the reception Eric was amazing. It was a quaint wedding 75 or so mostly from out of town..Eric read the crowd perfectly and had my dad on the dance floor all night. The same day Video the shot for us was amazing. It was like our own music video. Worth Three times what we paid..This level of professionalism is not found very often in one company. we were in good hands. Adam Gilbert and Nate at Brick Street filmed my wedding, and they were a BLAST to work with. Adam and I were acquaintances through other friends, and after I kept seeing video after video of incredible work, I knew we had to use them for our wedding. They were really interested in getting to know us as a couple, and listening to techniques we liked and didn't like, and accommodating our style. When they were directing or setting up some shots, they had great communication, so we knew what they were going to do and it wasn't weird or awkward (it was actually fun!). We even had some ideas about playing around on the beach and in the water, and they were all about it! They were like video ninjas, and we barely noticed they were there sometimes. I couldn't recommend these guys more - you won't be disappointed!

Great planning website to help you figure out the type of music to play during your reception. Eric was so great and easy to work with- and did an awesome job as MC for our event. I would definitely recommend them for any party/wedding event!

DJ Professionals was incredible! They did the dj'ing and video for the wedding and both turned out so incredible!
One thing I didn't have time to do was pick songs that I wanted and I was really concerned that it wouldn't suit us, would be too cheesy or would be too much "dirty dance" music.
It was none of those. It was perfect. The dj was really funny and sweet. He wasn't one of those that tried to monopolize the microphone and his music selection was perfect!!!

The DJ that I worked with from DJ Professionals and Video, David Friedman, was amazing. The first meeting that I had with him put me at ease. He assured me that after the ceremony, I would not have to worry about anything on my wedding day, as he would run everything behind the scenes! He made sure the guests were entertained while my photographer took pictures of us outside, he also made sure the first dances, introductions, toasts, cake cutting, and bouquet & garter tosses, all went smoothly. I honestly did not worry about anything. I had so much fun on my big day and David did all the behind the scenes work. He was also very friendly and all my friends and family got along with him so well. The music and lighting was great!

For anyone needing a wedding DJ in the Wilmington NC area I highly recommend DJ Professionals. My wife and I had the pleasure of working with David Friedman, David met my wife and I a couple weeks prior to our wedding this past May and we left that meeting knowing that we had made the right decision in choosing DJ Professionals. David did a fantastic job of making sure that the music selection catered to the mood of the crowd and he also did a fantastic job as the MC and as a result his performance played a huge roll in the lifetime memories that were created that evening. Thanks again to David for a Job well done!

David DJ'd for our wedding. We met with him prior to go over what we liked/disliked. He had our list of songs we had input online--after speaking with him we changed quite a few songs, and he was up-to-date on the day-of. He was really on top of it, and he also changed things up throughout the reception due to a lot of requests. I thought he did a great job, and I was happy he was there to keep us on schedule!

DJ did an amazing job. He was very professional and accomadating to us. He made it a Party. His transitions to songs were flawless. Overall, it made the wedding fun, as it should be.

We had Doug as our DJ and he did an AMAZING job!!! Doug even called the week of our wedding to go over and confirm everything. I could tell he was truly interested in making sure that all the music we wanted was played and making sure that I wasn't stressed about the music at all. Doug got every requested song right and at the right times, pronounced everyone's names correctly, and kept everyone dancing all night. The sound and lighting was perfect as well. Doug really took care of every little thing all night... even the last minute requests we had. Additionally, if Doug had a question for me (about timing or something small to make sure I was OK with it), he would stand slightly off to my side and wait for me to finish my conversation.... I REALLY appreciated that. Truly professional and non-intrusive. The only reason I gave responsiveness 4 stars instead of 5 is that before a DJ was assigned to my wedding, I had a little trouble getting someone to respond to emails. However, they did respond quickly to phone calls. I can't speak for the other DJs at DJ Professionals, but Doug did a great job! Thanks!

When booking with the River Room, you get a discount for a 4 hr block of services. I used DJ for the reception only and it was great! I made notes on their reception planner website and all of my songs were played. The DJ did a great job of pleasing the crowd with music and was a good MC.

Our experience with DJ Professionals was great. The only disappointment was that the first songs played at our wedding had nothing to do with any of the songs we selected on our list or ones that were representative of us. The DJ quickly changed the music to accommodate, but we wish our list would have been paid better attention to. Other than that, very friendly and professional.

We had David for our Dj and he was great!! He played all the songs that we asked and made family members that I thought would never get out of there chairs head to the dance floor. He was so nice and made my wedding day wonderful!!!!

We had Dj Professionals loan is the sound system we used at our wedding along with a mic and aux cord. It was perfect! Just what we were wanting. They were great to work with the system worked flawlessly :)

We hired DJ professionals for our wedding at the RiverRoom. We wanted a fun, lively atmosphere and the DJ was the sole contributor of making that happened. He spent time and talked with us about music we like and music we don't like. We expressed how much we centered the dancing portion of our wedding as the most important aspect, and he was excited to hear that! We recommend this service and the DJ truly made our wedding night!

We had George as our DJ, and he did a WONDERFUL job, our dance floor stayed packed. Some comments made were slightly inappropriate, but otherwise great job.

The communication we had with DJ Professionals before our event was amazing. They responded quickly, seemed concerned about our likes/dislikes, etc. However, after the wedding, not so much. I emailed several times about a question I had with the service, NO RESPONSE.

As far as the quality of service, the DJ was nice, but he called me to talk to me about how to pronounce names the day of the wedding while I was trying to get ready, which was annoying since he had asked me to do this the day before but never did. He also mispronounced our last name and some names I had told him how to pronounce just earlier that day.

The Photo Booth was a cool addition, but the lighting in the booth wasn't very good and most of our photos came out darker.

For the service, they were a little overpriced, but what isn't in the wedding industry?

DJ Professionals did a great job with our wedding. We really enjoyed working with David. He listened to what we had to say and put forth the effort to make sure our day happened as we wanted it to. They did a wonderful job with the ceremony music and made sure to accommodate our special requests without any issue. Our planner (who we wouldn't recommend) left our wedding early and David took over, no questions asked. He was incredibly helpful!

We used DJ Professionals for uplighting and our photo booth as well. We booked Brickstreet Cinema (their videography group) as well. We were really happy with the way the uplighting turned out and it gave our reception added detail that made a huge difference in the overall look. The photo booth, however, was disappointing. The images were really, really dark and the attendant cut a lot of the pictures very crooked. In some cases, they were cut way down the middle. We were very excited about the photobooth and had we known this would happen, we would have gone a different route.

Aside from the photo booth, we were really happy with the services provided and would definitely use them again!

We used a photo booth from DJ Professionals. The attendant, Josh, was fantastic! He was fun and professional at the same time. My main complaint about DJ Professionals is their extreme lack of response. I had to call the owner to get a response back from them after they had our money. Ultimately, everything turned out great and we were very happy!

Even after going over what songs I wanted played during the reception the dj took it upon himself and played other songs that I had not requested. I was upset that our family walk in song was not correct and neither was our garter toss.

I worked with DJ Professionals of Wilmington for both my ceremony and reception music. For the ceremony, they also provided a beach amplification system which worked perfectly even on a windy day. The ceremony music went well, however, they did forget to play the background music during the Lord's Supper.
I was less pleased with the reception service. Our coordinators had supplied the DJ with a detailed, timed schedule as well as what songs we wanted and when. Sadly, they didn't really adhere to the schedule which led to the reception feeling a little disjointed. Our DJ also kept finding us throughout the reception to ask questions and then collect our signature for payment, which interrupted our time speaking with family and friends and just enjoying ourselves.
I know they have a lot of DJs in their company, so this one review may not be representative of their entire staff.

The owner would not budge at all on the price, so that is the main negative. Another negative is that the DJ's that were sent to us seemed a little green. They messed up our names during the announcements and asked me several questions throughout the reception.

That being said, they provided great music and got the crowd up on the dance floor even though it was an early afternoon reception. They were very professional - they were dressed nice and the equipment seemed to be top-notch. I would still recommend them, though I hope you are able to negotiate a better price! I would also ask up front who they plan to send for your wedding. Up until the week before the wedding, I was under the impression that the owner was handing our reception personally.

I was not impressed with the DJ for our wedding. It was a lot of money to spend and I thought he was a little rude. I had heard from other prior to our wedding that they were the company to use, but I wasn't happy with the outcome.

I WOULD NOT recommend DJ professionals. If you are planning a cookie cutter wedding where the DJ plays the same ole stuff, makes assumptions about what you want and pays NO MIND to your wedding song list then this is the DJ for you. Our DJ Eric lacked originality, never responded to emails & completely disregarded our playlist. When we finally had the opportunity to speak with him it was in the middle of our rehearsal when we had very limited time in the space. He claimed to understand what we were talking about when I told him we wanted a mix of old school R&B, Soul with some contemporary stuff but proceeded to play salsa music for 45 minutes (I'm assuming because he assumed it was my families heritage when we had asked him to play CAPE VERDEAN, *note Cape Verde is in Africa* music.)

Luckily everyone had a good time which I was prepared to just let it all go except that it took them nearly 2 months to charge are card. I would never have selected this vendor on my own had it not been required through my venue and I would NEVER recommend a vendor as unoriginal as them. Couple other major blunders:

- no where to be found when my ceremony musician needed help setting up the sound outside.
- was told he was going to be given a cd for the father daughter dance but proceeded, although we had to send someone to get the cd he went ahead an played the wrong song anyway...Try communicating with the bride next time.
- played the WRONG music for cocktail hour and dinner even though he was giving the music to hook up and it was written in my wedding planner (the style we wanted)
- played more artists from my DO NOT play list then my please play list.

I may just seem like a bridezilla but music plays a HUGE part in the overall atmosphere of your day. Everything else about my wedding day was perfect, flaws and all but all I can remember is how upset I was at our DJ. Make sure you go with a DJ/Band that understands what you are trying to achieve. Not only did these guys not get it but they didn't even try. I'd demand my money back but they don't know how to return a call or respond to an email.

(PS.I was nothing but polite and cordial until this point. I did send an email regarding my concerns and again, received NO response. But over a month later only know seeing the charge on are card makes me realize how awful my experience really was.)

We were very unhappy with the DJ we chose. We spent hours creating a song list of music we wanted played at our reception. The DJ and his partner did not stick to the playlist, but rather played music they wanted. It was not even the genre of music we wanted (they played techno, club music) when we requested top 40 hits, country and beach music. I was very upset with our selection in this company and would never recommend them to anyone.

First contact with this company was amazing. They were exciting and easy to speak with. Well after they had the deposit, communications went down hill. I had to hound to get any sort of contact again. emails and phone messages went unanswered. it drove me insane when i was trying to get information out of them. there was a time i thought they wouldnt even be showing up. finally after a bridesmaid called them numerous times, we got through and got the name of the DJ for our wedding, which changed two days before our wedding...we were told the guy was no longer with our company as of the day before, not sure i believe that. the only saving grace of this company was that the DJ they did send us was competent enough to be used at our reception. i wont do business with this company again based on the sole purpose that communication was horrendous.

We requested a specific DJ that we initially met with and were told that he would be our DJ. A few days before the wedding we got the news that we would be switched to a different DJ and he would be contacting us to talk but we got no phone call.

The wedding itself was fine. Everyone was up dancing. However other than the songs for first dance and introductions, none of the songs that we had specifically requested were played. Regarding the father/daughter dance, the DJ (having NOT contacted us prior to the event to find out that this song was to be a surprise from the father to the bride) actually asked the BRIDE if it was the correct song for the dance (not the coordinator, or the father, but interrupted the bride and effectively ruined this aspect). We had also added dedications into the website and none of these were played. It was quite obvious that the DJ had either not looked at our website info, or had given it a cursory glance, or worse had read the info and (maybe due to the short notice of the DJ change) decided not to comply with our contract and play these songs. The music played was not what we would have picked on our own. We were assured that our music requests, given to the DJ website in ample time, would be downloaded and played. It was our understanding that this service was part of our contracted agreement and was integral to our choosing to work with this company.

We have rated flexibility as 0.5 for his disregard of our wishes and interruption and stress placed on the bride, value a 1.5 because he did play some of the correct songs for the ceremony but nothing more. Professionalism was a 3 for his attitude being acceptable, responsiveness a 2 because of his lack of participation in the pre-planning of the wedding (leading to the recessional being started prematurely before the ceremony was finished), and finally the quality of service a 2 because of all the above factors but he did manage to perform the basic tasks for the event.

We had family from all over the East Coast come to our wedding, and we were ready to shag to beach music! We had an awesome playlist selected ahead of time and the DJ (Matt) guaranteed that he had the songs. When I noticed half of our wedding guests leaving the reception early, I realized that the DJ was playing only rap music, Journey, and Bon Jovi! Not beach music and not what we asked for on the play list! He turned our beach wedding reception into prom. Would not recommend.
Would not recommend the video services, either. The videographer talked to me more throughout the wedding than anyone else. Asking questions, telling me what he wants to film, etc. All we wanted was the wedding filmed, and before I knew it he had followed us to have pictures made! He kept saying "You'll like this better than something traditional" -- NOT! The video was terrible. Would not recommend at all!
