Five stars aren't enough!

My experience with My Unique Wedding & Events far surpassed all expectations. Our wedding reception was first scheduled for March 2020. Less than two weeks before our reception we had to postpone due to COVID-19. Jessica was more than understanding and allowed us to reschedule for a later date without any issue.

Once our event finally happened Jessica was very professional. I came into the day with a few photo ideas that I knew I wanted. She was open to my ideas and brought ideas of her own. She set up the photos in such a way that truly captured the full beauty of our venue! I've shared just a few photos, but there are literally hundreds of photos that are my favorites! She has the unique eye to capture your special day in a way that you will cherish for the rest of your lives.

I look back at all of our photos and think wow I can't believe this was our day!

Great Experience Overall! Life Saver!

My experience was overall great. I found myself in a very stressful situation having to reschedule our event due to the covid restrictions. Our original photographer bailed and wasn't willing to reschedule. Luckily I found unique weddings. They were able to work with me even though it was last minute. The photographer was on time and friendly. We got a lot of good poses and shots that we werent even thinking of. Jessica mentioned that it should take about 2 and a half months to get our photos but we received them in 2 weeks! I will say that I had to leave a voicemail a couple of times when trying to get in contact but they always responded in a timely manner.

Jessica is great to work with. We first hired her in October of 2015 as our wedding photographer. She was very professional and our pictures turned out amazing! 2 1/2 years later, we contacted her to set up a maternity photoshoot. We met her at UCR Botanical Gardens only to find out they were randomly closed for cleaning that day. We really wanted to shoot at that venue so Jessica scheduled us into her already full schedule the following weekend. She was so accommodating and flexible which we appreciated so much! She also made it a point to send us our edited photos in time for our baby shower which was a short time after the shoot. We look forward to working with Jessica again in the near future!

We used their dj service for our wedding and they did a great job. I didn't know much about creating a timeline and we did not have a coordinator but the staff at unique events stepped in and helped out tremendously. Everything ran smoothly. Our guest really had a good time, as did I. So glad we went with unique events, Ivan did a fantastic job!

Jessica was professional and helpful from the moment I contacted her up to receiving all of our photos and videos of our wedding. Jessica always addressed my questions/concerns thoroughly and in a timely manner. She made my husband and I feel comfortable during our engagement shoot and was extremely helpful as our day of coordinator. Both of my photographers, photo booth attendant, and videographer were professional and easy to work with. Jessica's company really does it all. My husband and I are happy to have received such great services from My Unique Events. I highly recommend her and her team and will definitely share our experiences with friends and family.

From beginning to end my experience with Jessica was totally professional, flexible, and friendly I really appreciated her packages, we didn't have a big budget so her package pricing was able to fit our budget. At the wedding she was barely noticeable and took as many pictures as you wanted of whoever and whatever. I would defiantly recommend her business

My Unique Event provided photography, videography, and DJ services for our wedding in San Juan Capistrano, CA. The value of the package was amazing and they provided absolutely fantastic, quality work. We loved both our pictures and our video and the DJ was great. We would highly recommend them.

Ok, so let me just start by saying a rarely leave reviews, but after receiving such great service from My Unique event I was compelled to share my story. When my wife and I decided to have a wedding we knew that we would have to cut some corners because we didn’t have a huge budget like most people. However, photography and DJ was very important to us and we did not want ugly pictures and a corny/boring dj for our reception. We spent a few weeks shopping and searching but everything we wanted seemed to be a bit too expensive (especially photography!!). One day I was on google and found My Unique Event. When I saw the site it almost looked too good to be true. The quality of the photos and the price just didn’t match. But, I went ahead and contacted them anyway just to see what they are all about. I was impressed from the start. I sent an email to them and they replied to me almost immediately. Jessica gave me a call to address my questions and to let me know more about the packages, etc. We eventually had a consultation to go over details for the dj service and photography. The team was VERY professional and helpful. When you talk to them you get the sense that this is just what they do, they are very knowledgeable. On the day of the event they knocked it out the park! Claudia photographed for us and captured some great stuff. Even the small details such as getting ready, decorations, interacting with guest.. it was all captured beautifully. When we showed our pictures to our friends, the first thing they ask is “how much did you guys spend on this” because it looks like we dropped $5000 on pictures, but we literally paid a fraction of that lol. The DJ was very fun and professional as well. We danced all night. Everything moved along without any problems. My unique event did a fantastic job and I am very happy that I found them. I know people that paid triple the price of what we paid and did not get what we got. Great service, Great value, great find!!

My wife and I received quotes from multiple photographers that were double the cost of My Unique Wedding & Event, and they wouldn't provide the digital rights to the photos. When we found My Unique Wedding & Event, they were SIGNIFICANTLY less expensive than ANYONE for photography, they provided the digital rights to us, and they provided a 1 hour engagement photo session along with the package! Many times when you see great deal online, you immediately might think "you probably get what you pay for." You get way more than you pay for with My Unique Wedding & Event! The quality of photos, the professionalism of the photographer, and the price for everything cannot be beat!

The wedding for Phillip Magee and Erin Mitchell on 1/16/16 at the Ayres Hotel in Costa Mesa was incredible, and the photographer Jessica and the DJ made things go very smoothly! The photos were gorgeous, and best of all Jessica was very relaxed and accommodating to many different requests for poses we wanted, photos with friends and family, and taking many great moments.

The DJ for our wedding also did a wonderful job for the ceremony and the reception. The audio quality was great and all the transitions were flawless. Best of all, with such a large selection of music, the DJ played the music styles we requested to be played and avoided the style of music we specifically asked to not be played.

I genuinely mean it when I say that you will have an excellent experience at an amazing price if you go with My Unique Wedding & Event! You will not be disappointed!

Jessica and her team did an amazing job on capturing our wedding. They got all the pictures we talked about wanting in our meetings. They have affordable packages and don't disappoint!!! I haven't seen our video yet but I'm sure it'll be just as amazing. You definitely need to hire them for any event. Ive followed them on multiple social media networks and all their stuff is just as amazing as what they did for us.

We needed a good wedding photographer and videographer, but didn't have a huge budget. We found My Unique Wedding Services on wedding wire and they had raving reviews. They did not disappoint, our photos look like they are out of a magazine and always get compliments on them. We definantly recommend them to anyone we hear getting married.

Norris and his team from My unique wedding and events photographed my engagement and wedding--he did a fantastic job. He is very detailed oriented and personable making us feel comfortable and at ease throughout the process and in front of the camera. I reached out to "My Unique Wedding & Event Photography" for my sister's wedding this past year, and oh my - these guys blew it out of the park. Photography at any event is important, not just weddings. But to have a team that can capture the groom leaning in to kiss the bride at that perfect moment in time, and making it a beautiful black and white to bring out the love in the picture, is extraordinary.

Perhaps that is what surprised me the most about the photography company - they thrive off of making sure your moments get captured in the most impeccable way. They are affordable, professional, and flexible. My sister is an extremely hard person to please, but boy, she was pleased with these guys!

Sometimes, events in our lives are so so so rare that we must make sure they are captured so that they will never be forgotten, and will always be tangible at the touch of our fingertips. Not only do they do photography, but event designing as well. Gosh - so many options all from one extraordinarily talented team of individuals who work to make that your event goes above and beyond your expectations (speaking from experience here)!

Photography was the most important thing to me. I wanted to be sure every moment was perfectly captured. I shopped around and realized how expensive and quickly all my expectations were adding up too. I was so thankful when I came across Unique Weddings!! Since our first point of contact they were always very responsive and easy to get a hold off. We went with the Photo/Photo Booth Package Deal. They really exceeded our expectations. We hired My Unique Event for our wedding at Monteleone Meadows in Murrieta, and they were fantastic. Incredibly easy and professional to deal with when we booked them, and our photographer Norris did an amazing job. Knowledgeable, confident and respectful. Don't let the low prices fool you. These guys know what they're doing. Our wedding pictures were great. We really enjoyed our video as well. They take care of business! We searched for days trying to find a good wedding photographer for a reasonable price. I'm glad we took the extra time and found my unique wedding and event.

Barry Rice is the coordinator. He is very friendly and professional . We saw the venue and knew it was where we wanted to have our outdoor ceremony and our outdoor/indoor reception. The view and Barry were the reasons we choose the venue . Can’t wait for our 04/20/2019 Wedding !!!

Great vendors! We had our wedding at the San Diego Safari Park and although we had issues with their wedding coordinator, My Unique Event employees were able to assist and make everything run smoothly!

We live in Hawaii we're planning out wedding in San Diego. Planning from so far away is a lot more work than I thought. I stumbled upon My Unique Event on a few wedding websites and thought I would give it a try. Jessica got back to me right of way and reserved our date. We chose the half day package (4 hours) since we had a later ceremony. Fast forward to our wedding day 07/15/17. Klaudia was our photographer for our ceremony and reception. She is amazing!! You can tell when someone truly loves what they do and she most definitely does. Klaudia exceeded our expectations. She was professional, sweet, and so much fun to work with. The list could go on! I highly recommend working with her and My Unique Event. We received a few teaser pictures and they turned out absolutely gorgeous. We can't wait to see the rest.

We used “My unique wedding & events” for our wedding. We took advantage of the $1500 photography/dj/videographer special and were thrilled with the level of service we received from them. Affordable, Professional, and worth every cent! The deal almost seemed too good to be true but they delivered. The photographer, Jessica, captured very beautiful shots for us. The video was great quality, and our DJ was extremely professional and a joy to work with. A+ service, Highly recommended. I will be sure to refer to all my family and friends! Thanks again.

First of all, Jessica got some great photos but try to give her suggestions for the type of photos or backgrounds that you want. The music for the wedding was a little off....I made a list that was followed....even the song that my wedding party walked down to was wrong but it was a beautiful Kenny G song so it was okay. Lastly, the video services...ehh....I wasnt happy with the editing but I got a quick response so it should be fixed soon, hopefully. Also be prepared to wait a while to get your photos and vids back.

Do not do it!!

Save your time & your money, find anyone else to go through. The photographer I had on my wedding day was breanna, she was nice & professional sounding. She seemed to be more of a landscape & object photographer, not a portrait/ person photographer based on the photos taken. She did not give us very many poses to do though other than standing still & walking which I was not expecting. I would have liked to have had other poses besides the typical “prom” photos for my big day. She would ask us what we wanted to do but I had other things to plan other than what poses I would be doing, I had assumed they would come prepared with poses. I got into contact with “Jessica” to ask when the photos would be ready to get an estimated time frame. She claimed it would be 8-14 weeks to get the edited finalized photos & I could get a “sneak peak” of the unedited photos the the week of the wedding. It took over a month to get the sneak peak unedited photos I noticed that a lot of the photos of just me & my husband were taken at sunset however, the pictures were taken with the sun directly in the background so his face is cut out of a lot of the photos by the sun. I had assumed that the editing of the photos would fix the terrible lighting issues. It did not. His face is not in a lot of our wedding photos!! I also thought they would edit out blemishes, smooth the skin, maybe even whiten the teeth since the editing was taking so long. All they did was put a filter over the photos, making them all extremely blurry & called it “editing”. I had a bruise on my arm that I hoped they could edited out but they didn’t, they added a filter that seemed to enhance the bruise color. I emailed Jessica asking if there were more photos to be sent because we noticed a lot of the main “wedding” type photos were missing, such as a photo of our hands & rings close up. She said I needed to go through all the photos & find the number of the picture & give it to her in order to get them. Jessica also had a lot of excuses as the why it was taking so long for the edited photos because it was well over the 14 weeks I was promised. Overall I do not recommend booking this company for any event you have planned. It would honestly be the same, maybe even better to take photos on an iphone & add a filter to the pictures.

AVOID THIS VENDOR! They are cheap ($1500) but so is the quality of their photograph and videography. My wife was so disappointed with the photos and edited video which wasn't pointing in the right direction, unfocused, and missing parts of the wedding. When I emailed them, they wouldn't respond. When they finally responded my emails, they tried to charge me more fees for a mistake they're employees made. In addition, the contract states 4 - 6 weeks (2 1/2 months maximum) to finish editing and shipping; it took 4 months to get . I regret picking this vendor for such a special event in my life.

No Final Product Received Nearly One Year Later

I hired this photographer for my daughter’s quinceañera and, unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. It has now been 11 months since the event, and I still have not received the final product that was promised.

Throughout this time, communication has been inconsistent, and despite multiple attempts to get updates, I have not been given a clear timeline for completion or delivery. A quinceañera is a once-in-a-lifetime milestone, and the photos and videos are important memories for our family. Waiting nearly a year without receiving the final work has been frustrating and disheartening. I’ve sent multiple emails to Norris and Jessica with no response.

Two-month wait turned into six months of begging for completed work

Worst experience I’ve had. What was supposed to take two months dragged on for six, and only after constant follow-ups and begging did anything get delivered.

The editing quality was awful. The video includes long, dead shots literally pointed at the floor with no purpose. The photo editing looks like it was mass-edited with zero attention to detail — inconsistent lighting, bad color balance, and overall sloppy results.

Completely unprofessional, extremely delayed, and nowhere near the quality promised. I would not recommend.

Worst experience

I wanted to share my experience with this photography company. First, they really need to start giving clearer information about the waiting time for the photos and videos. It seems like the only thing they did was slap a filter on the pictures, which honestly, you can do easily on your iPhone. The photos taken with my phone turned out WAY better than theirs.

Also, they never inform you when they are going to take the pictures, so we missed out on capturing some great poses and moments. I’ve received some of the pictures but I’m still waiting for the video. Every time I reach out to Jessica, she says editing takes around 8 to 16 weeks, so it's a lesson in patience.

Honestly, I can't recommend this company to anyone—you might end up disappointed like I did.

The worst!

I am so upset with this company! The management was unprofessional and sent us our photos late and unedited! I couldn’t use much of any of our pictures they were all random and not edited at all!! Spots over our faces ect! The management was the worst! I asked to change the hours to one hour down from 12pm-8pm to 1pm to 9 pm and was declined because I didn’t want to pay 400 for that extra hour! They sent the dj a message that he showed us stating hurry along the dances, cake cutting ect since they didn’t want to pay for more time! It took 2 months later than expected time frame listed to even get our photos or video and they were unedited and unusable do not use this company!!

Horrible photographer

Brides Beware! While my Unique Wedding & Events may seem like a good deal for those looking for a lower cost photographer, the work is not worth any money really. If someone you know has a nice camera (or even a phone with a good camera) the photos will be comparable to what we got. Our wedding experience with them was a total nightmare luckily we did not let it ruin our big day. Jessica is the owner of this business and also the one to photograph our wedding day. This is a long review but goes over everything that went wrong.

We started with a first look between me and my husband and after while we were getting the rest of the bridal party together I introduced myself to Jessica, the response I got back from her was a short "Hi.". There was no "Congratulations" or "Happy Wedding Day" just a short "hi" with some attitude behind it like she didn't want to be there. We got married the Sunday of memorial day weekend so maybe she was missing out on something by being there but we booked her well in advance so the date should not have been a surprise to her. I didn't let it bother me because I didn't want to get upset before the ceremony even began. So we start taking bridal party photos thinking that she will be posing us or calling out the groups of people she wants next but she kept looking to me and my husband asking us "what else do you want" or "what other poses do you want". We had figured that she has photographed weddings before and usually the photographer has ideas of what poses or groups of people they want so we didn't do much research on specific poses. She sends you a "photo checklist" to fill out prior to your wedding day with different styles that you want but I doubt she even looks at it. I had specifically NOT selected the "Natural Portraiture (traditional posed photography, subjects facing camera)" because I feel like they always look too stiff yet looking at all of our photos that is all we got. At one point she had us on a hill directly in the shadow of a palm tree so all of those photos have a huge shadow on them. We had to ask her to move to a nicer location in the venue because there were a lot of pretty places to take photos but she put us in the worst location. We got back our wedding video which came out nice but out of all of the unedited photos we had maybe 4 or 5 photos that we liked. It also took 17 weeks for her to "edit" the photos when really all it looked like she did was use a filter to brighten some of the pictures. I have attached photos below to show the difference between the edited photos and unedited. I also included a screenshot from one of the wedding videos of the face Jessica was making the whole time she was there.

Save your money and go with a different company. We will be taking 1 year anniversary photos with a different photographer to make up for the lack of wedding photos we will have.

I hired Jessica to do my wedding in January, I should have trusted my instincts after speaking to her on the phone I could tell she didn't really seem to like me, but I had already paid the deposit so I stuck with it and just hoped that on my wedding day it would all be fine. It wasn't, I emailed her a list of photos I wanted because I knew I would be busy and I didn't want any thing to get forgotten, I didn't write down the basic ones just the family ones that were very important to us because we don't live close to all of our family and it was the only time we would see most of them in years. I guess I should have written out every photo with every detail I wanted for her, I requested the week before that we add the extra photographer, she told me no that she could handle it and it wasn't needed. She arrived on the day and immediately I got the sense that she didn't want to be there, She was short with me and seemed frustrated right away, When doing my photos with my bridal party before the ceremony she first took us out front in some grass that was very wet and muddy, after stepping in it for a second I said that this wasn't going to work because my shoes were completely sunk in the ground and my dress was sitting on mud. So she took us out back and had us face the sun, so all my photos I me and my party are squinting, when we asked to move we were told no because she didn't want the sun behind us. I stupidly let my anxiety allow her to do that. The photos of me and my husband felt rushed and not very romantic at all, there are people in the background that she told us she would edit out and didn't. My edited photos do not look edited at all. Going through my photos I noticed I am missing some very important photos some that I had on the list that she just didn't take and others that are pretty common sense to take like a bridal photo. There is not one photo of me by myself from the entire day. I am so heart broken I cannot get this day back! So unprofessional!

Do not trust your event to My Unique Wedding. They lost almost 200 photographs of my event. Yes, lost. How does that even happen with digital photography??? After several weeks of leaving messages for Jessica, her response was "The photographs were lost and we can't explain how or why. Sorry for the inconvenience." "Inconvenience" ? Outrageous! They are unprofessional, incompetent, and uncaring. Avoid them at all costs!

I was looking for a lower cost photographer for my vow renewal. Initially, Jessica was responsive on the phone and seemed attentive. I was asked to fill out a form listing my preferences for types of photography, which I did.
Well, I waited a long 3 months to get something back from them after the wedding and guess what? I don't even have ONE photo of me and my husband that I can frame. The best photo of our wedding was taken by my brother on his iPhone. All of the photos look like candids - if that's what you want, have your nephew take your photos on his phone...if you're looking for actual portrait style photos of your wedding- DO NOT RELY ON THIS COMPANY.
The video was better but it took 3 months to get that, too, and they did not include the end where my husband and I talked into the camera (not sure why not) and it arrived an unmarked DVD in an unmarked paper sleeve in an envelope, without any letter or other enclosure. Unprofessional.
I am always hesitant to give a bad review but I want to save other brides the disappointment that I feel.

Absolutely terrible customer service by this business. We should have known better at the beginning of the process when consultations were held in a Starbucks in Corona, when the event was taking place in San Diego and they advertise as a San Diego Wedding Photographer. This business is one of the most unprofessional businesses I have ever done business with. We used My Unique Event for our wedding in August of 2016 in Coronado, CA. We booked the diamond package (photography, videography, DJ, photo booth, and day of coordinator) and extended our photography to 8 hours. Jessica stresses the importance of filling out all of her paperwork so they can be sure and have our event go smoothly. They didn’t even follow the “must have” photos that we methodically planned out, therefore I don’t have any pictures with my grandparents. The lady running the photo booth was extremely rude. The real trouble started after our wedding. We were told our photos would take 4-6 weeks for us to receive them. Our wedding was on August 4th and we did not receive our final products until December. This is completely unacceptable. If this wasn’t bad enough, we go to watch our wedding video, pop it into the DVD player and the video starts halfway through our ceremony. No intro, no music, no titles, nothing. Besides being out of order, the video was very poorly shot and edited. We brought our concerns to the attention of Jessica and she was apologetic and said they would make it right. We were refunded $200 for the video and was told on December 7th 2016 that we would receive a corrected video, still have not received one as of June 1st, 2017. We received our refund in late December/early January and thanked Jessica in an email. In the same email we asked when we could expect the corrected video, and we have yet to hear anything back 4 whole months later. For an event that is supposed to be remembered as the best day of your life, this company has sure left a bad taste in our
