Took all my stress away!!!
Kaylene, Simone and the My House team are unmatched! With a past of working in events, I know that things are bound to happen, but I truly felt like our day every single little thing was perfect and seamless to the two of us and our guests!! We went in feeling like we could trust this team with every fiber of our being, which allowed us to have the most beautiful, present, stress-free day. Cannot recommend this team enough. Big shoutout as well to the chefs we chose Michele and Joseph from Papa Joes!! They helped craft an unbelievable Portuguese-Italian fusion menu that our guests continue to rave about. -

Wonderful Caterers
My House was a wonderful catering team to work with for our wedding. The staff are very communicative and professional. They worked hard to connect us with chefs that matched our culinary tastes within our price range. They made sure the entire process was smooth from the tasting to the contracting to executing on the day of. Then there is the food…delicious! We wished we were able to enjoy more of it the day of! So many guests commented on how good everything was and how it was perfectly cooked. If you want New American style food for your meal, then look no further than chefs Joseph and Michelle!
We would recommend My House to anybody looking for a catering vendor. They are reasonably priced, their staff are reliable, and they are all very nice people! We are forever grateful to My House for helping us have our perfect wedding! -

Worth Every Penny and More!
Where do I even begin with Danielle and My House Events?! When I tell you worth EVERY penny - I really mean, worth SO MUCH MORE! MHE was recommended to us through our venue and we couldn't have been happier with the choice we made having them as our wedding planner. Danielle started off by giving us a consultation and run down of the different tiers we could go with and since we weren't local to New Orleans we opted in for a full planning service. We had monthly calls that turned into bi-weekly calls closer to the wedding and she would keep us on track with where she was at in the process and where we should be thinking ahead for any vendors or options we would need to decide on. When we came and visited for our tastings and HMU trials, she was so warm and helped us get around to each of our vendors. We also had a beignet bar vendor, which was catered through My House Events. Our guests loved that touch and it was a great dessert/late night snack for the reception. I could really go on and on about how amazing she is and how worth having her it was, but you should definitely find out for yourself! Thank you Danielle, and MHE! -

October 2024 Wedding in Los Angeles
We hired My House Events for our Los Angeles based wedding to provide appetizers and month-of-coordination. We loved everyone from the My House Events staff and how accommodating, kind, and experienced they were. It was great having them be part of our day because they truly made the event run smoothly and brought in so much expertise to make our vision come true. We loved that we got to try out a variety of options before settling on our final 3 appetizers. Chef Sami and Simone were warm and helped us through the process. The food spoke for itself! Our guests gave us great reviews on the taste, presentation, and the speediness in which it was delivered during cocktail hour.
Ariana was an excellent coordinator- she saved our butts by bringing in her outside knowledge of what an event needs in order to make it through the final stretch. We felt as though everyone, Chef Sami, Ariana, Simone, and the wait staff were there to help us and to create a good vibe. It was wonderful- I think hiring the My House Events team was one of the best choices we made as we planned our wedding.-

Spectacular Catered Care and An Important Mission
Whether you are looking for a caterer or a coordinator, I’m happy to tell you you’ve found the best there is. You’ve done it! Your search ends here and I’ll tell you why. My House Events is a mission-based company focused on “uplifting chefs and creating meaningful opportunities for economic and creative growth” all with a spotlight on diversity and representation. I invite you to visit their website and read their full statement. It is this philosophy that drew us to them.
My partner and I connected with them and had just one quick call with a representative who asked us what kind of food we were looking for and asked whether or not we’d like coordination assistance. We asked about month-of coordination and said we were looking for Cajun cuisine. A bit of a left field pick to be honest, so we thought maybe it would be hard to find. She knew immediately which Chef in their portfolio would be the best for the job. She connected with Chef Bri who came up with a perfect custom menu in only a couple days. After a budgeting conversation they were very receptive and went out of their way to make adjustments and offered varying options to stay within budget. What we landed on was exactly what we were looking for and fit perfectly within theme for what we wanted our day to be. After confirming the menu, we paid the deposit and then planned the tasting.
At the tasting we met Simone, who was our day-of food service coordinator, and Chef Bri. Let me tell you, I’ve been saying it since the tasting and I will say it until the day I die. I would go to war for that woman and her cooking. The entire tasting and we had ZERO notes. Found out she was actually on Top Chef! Everything was perfect and delicious and it was maybe one of the aspects of the wedding we were looking forward to the most. Made all the better because it felt like we made a genuine connection with them both. They delivered in a major way.
Come September we met Kaylene who handled our month-of coordination. She was incredible. When planning, I am a person who needs lists and deadlines and after explaining to her what my needs were, she lined up everything in a way that made planning very easy for me. It was helpful to lean on her for vendor communication and if I missed anything, she was very quick to help me stay on top of it and gave me every tool I could have asked for. On the day Michelle was our on-site contact. Both her and Simone were exceptionally detail oriented, talented, and kind. They made us feel like goddamn royalty. Knowing I would be taking photos after the ceremony, I asked them to make sure they save some fried mac & cheese for me from our past appetizers. A staff member brought me a whole tray and said “Chef Bre said this is just for you!”
Not only did my guests talk about the food non-stop (They’re still taking about it a month later!), they also complemented the coordinator which I think happens much less often. Everyone was very impressed with her and that is the caliber you’re getting with My House Events. My only complaint is that the Cajun pasta was SO good that my guests completely cleaned it out of the buffet and there wasn’t any leftover for me to take home! Please give them a call. They will find the best food and give you the best care and they will go out of their way to make your day or your event blow your expectations out of the water. The most special thing about them is the work that they do to elevate their team and the care they take to give you exactly what you dream.-

DREAM experience!
Working with My House Events was one of the best decisions we made for our LA-based wedding. We wanted something casual (tacos), and My House Events helped us find the perfect food and desserts to match our style (thank you along with Poppa Joe's and Flour & Milk!!). After the tasting, we knew they were the right choice. On the day of the wedding, everything went so smoothly, making our day completely stress-free. Not only was the food incredible, but the team was so kind and accommodating. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you, My House team! Highly recommend them to anyone looking for amazing food and a wonderful group of people to work with! -

I don’t know what to rave more about, the team or the food because both deserve every star there is. My House went above and beyond our hopes, dreams and expectations.
Barrie, Kaylene and Chef Sammy curated a fully custom catered lunch along with cocktail hors d'oeuvres that blew us and our guests away. We wanted a more eclectic wedding menu with some of our favorite cuisines. This also included some classic Persian dishes packaged in small unique appetizers which they delivered in flawless fashion.
There was a little something for everyone! On top of that they helped us with rentals and made sure everything ran smoothly and cleanly on the day.
They even helped provide dietary options for every restriction, so our vegan, vegetarian and gluten free guests were able to enjoy delicious dishes.
This was super important to us since we have so many people we love and care about that deserved something delectable and Chef Sammy nailed it all around!
The food was one of the best parts of the entire day. My House made us feel heard, seen and were an absolute delight to work with from start to finish.
They truly care and that was clear in their communication and their passion to deliver something special.
On top of their stellar service they are a women-owned business that supports the LGBTQIA+ community both internally and externally!-

Great food, such a joy to work with
Working with My House (in Los Angeles) was a dream! From picking the menu to our tasting to the big day, Barrie and her team were so accommodating in helping us design our menu. We knew we didn’t want a sit down dinner so the taco station and Mediterranean grazing table was just perfect. We opted for ice cream sandwiches instead of cake which was a total hit with all our guests! By going with My House, we were able to create a menu sourced from multiple vendors, but they handle all of the coordination/logistics -- and not only that, they're mission driven, so you're also supporting chefs/bakers/etc from underrepresented communities. Highly recommend! -

Phenomenal Coordination and Catering
Working with My House Events was an absolute dream. Kaylene and Chelsea's organization, open communication, and creativity exceeded all our expectations. They championed our vision every step of the way, allowing us to be completely present and enjoy our special day. The My House Events team truly brought their brilliance to the table, elevating our ideas and flawlessly executing them.
Planning our wedding was exciting, but we hesitated to invest in the extra coordination. However, any concerns we had completely vanished. My House Events provided incredible care and support, keeping us focused on our vision for this special day while also respecting our need to manage other aspects of our lives. Working with Kaylene and Chelsea at My House Events was truly a miracle for us. Their unwavering support left us feeling incredibly grateful, not just for them, but for the entire warm and welcoming New Orleans community.
As far as the bar and food we ordered through them, they were great. We finalized our menu remotely and without tastings, and we were incredibly impressed by the outstanding quality of the food -- our vision came to life thanks to Chef Nadia! Everything was absolutely delicious, and we received countless compliments from our guests who raved that it was the best wedding food they'd ever experienced. We couldn't agree more! Their bar service was professional, creative, and friendly. We also had a raw oyster bar that was a big hit - would recommend!
Finally, without month-of and day-of coordination from Kaylene, Chelsea, and their team, I am pretty sure I would have died of stress (or annoyed my new spouse so much that we'd have to call it off). I can't recommend My House Events highly enough.

Kaylene was the Coordinator of Our Dreams
Hiring Kaylene to be our day of coordinator was hands down the best decision we could have made for our wedding day. Leading up to the big day, every vendor we spoke with said good things about Kaylene and was excited to work with her. She took our vision and implemented it flawlessly, which allowed us to enjoy every second of our dream wedding. Her background in stage management shined through when she was able to coordinate all of our family and vendors to be exactly where they needed to be and when. We were prepared for something to go wrong, as that happens with any big event, but truly nothing went even slightly off-plan. Our recommendation to hire Kaylene cannot be overstated! Hire her! -

My name is Abby, I'm the owner and operator of Big Fun Entertainment and Brass Band. I've had the absolute pleasure of working with the My House Events team on multiple occasions for several different types of events across the New Orleans area. Every time I work with My House, specifically with Kaylene, I am absolutely blown away by their professionalism, style and grace. Kaylene and the My House Team treat their fellow vendors with respect, which is so important to me as a fellow vendor, it means so much to know that if I'm working with them, myself and my team of musicians, can expect to be treated well, which really goes a long way in our business. They also are great at supplying organized timelines well before the event, which helps prevent hiccups, and overall helps us all have the best event possible. An added bonus is that they can handle any event from top to bottom, from catering to planning and recommending other vendors. My House Events is the best catering team! From the very first introductory call all the way through planning and the big day the whole team was incredible to work with, so kind and professional, and helpful. We could not be happier with our experience. Someone told me that you want to work with people who you feel like you can be friends with and that's absolutely true of the My House Events team, they helped execute the vision we had for our wedding and made it a reality!

My House Events provided exceptional service! We used them for both catering and event management for our destination wedding in New Orleans. They found us the best food trucks in New Orleans! Every single one of our guests couldn’t stop raving about how awesome the food was. Kelsey and Katherine were extremely responsive and made the process of wedding planning much simpler. Even better, they made my destination wedding so magical for everyone! There were a few last minute issues with vendors and Katherine worked her magic and made everything seamless. She handled absolutely everything so that I could relax and enjoy my wedding! I am beyond happy that I found them to help with my wedding and would highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding! -

Highly Reccomend for all catering needs!
As an event planner who has worked on intimate weddings of 50 people and larger conferences of 20,000, I can honestly say that My House Social is among the best in the catering industry. I worked with them in October of 2019 where they coordinated catering for my event of 400, providing 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches (one of them food carts), and coffee and water stations. Three things stood out:
1. Their flexibility in planning - we wanted to do food carts - No problem! not every caterer has the connection or willingness to coordinate food trucks. They also allowed us to be flexible with our numbers, push deadlines to the last minute, and were nothing but accommodating when plans changed multiple times
2. Uniqueness - I was so happy to see a proposal that didn't look like every other catering proposal I had seen. They infuse NOLA culture and support local businesses. At the end of the event, they send out an impact report. Ours told us we had supported 100% women owned businesses!
3. Onsite professionalism - working with the team onsite was my favorite part. They went above and beyond to enhance our event, moving water stations to follow guest movement, working directly with attendees with dietary restrictions, and always checking in to make sure they were support me and my event planners in any way they could
I would whole heartedly recommend My House Social for any catering needs. -

We are so thankful that we used My House Social for our wedding. They made selecting the food, drinks, rentals, and more SO easy! We didn't want the "traditional" wedding food, and MHS allowed us to find a chef that could provide exactly what we wanted, while still staying within our budget. One of the best decisions that we made was using a month-of coordinator. Katherine was AMAZING! She was extremely helpful and communicative throughout the entire process. Katherine handled everything - from confirming vendors, to ordering rentals, to our day-of timeline, to post-wedding clean-up. I was truly able to enjoy my wedding day (and the month leading up to the wedding) because of her! I can't recommend MHS and Katherine enough!!! -

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!
If I could give My House Social, especially Katherine, 20 Stars, I would. My daughter’s wedding was the most amazingly, memorable day and we have Katherine and My House Social to thank for it. The first and most valuable piece of advice I was given as a new mother of the bride was to get a Month of Coordinator so that I can enjoy the wedding and reception, and Katherine did not disappoint. A month out, she took over working with all of the vendors for the wedding. She made the day look effortless. She had everything for the day planned down to the minute, starting at 7am that morning (actually the day before with the rehearsal) to the clean up that evening and I didn’t have to worry about any of it. It was an amazing day and I can’t begin to tell you the number of compliments I received about how wonderful everything was and how well things flowed, and it never would have been possible without Katherine and My House Social. With a 22 month engagement, there was lots of time for ideas to change and desire for things to be added. Katherine was able to help us out with all of it. Since the wedding and reception were at Felicity Church, we were able to customize so much, including our catering. With multiple revisions of our dinner and cocktail hour menu, Katherine and Fete Au Fete worked with us to find the perfect menu with a New Orleans flair, but also accommodated our vegetarian and pescatarian guests. Katherine has the patience of a saint. The food was unbelievably amazing and unforgettable! Katherine’s knowledge and expertise provided us with wonderful suggestions and guidance. I cannot recommend My House Social and Katherine highly enough. -

My wedding wasn't a priority
My House Social coordinated the catering for my wedding in April 2019. They were the preferred caterer for my venue, Capulet, and I had to choose between them and an additional fee to work with another caterer. In the end, I wish I had paid the fee. I did not have a great experience engaging with them throughout the process and the end results were lacking. Here was my experience: From the outset they were very slow in responding to emails and following through on what we discussed. Several times my venue coordinator had to follow up on my behalf, and their lateness delayed our ability to pay invoices on schedule. They also lacked the attention to detail and customer service that I would expect in paying the fees that we did for their services. My initial correspondence with the team to create a menu lacked appropriate specifics, and it was only when I found the chef's catering menu online did I feel like I had the information I needed to develop a good menu. I had to confirm and reconfirm details with them several times (including 2 days before the wedding while I had events going on) and was always worried something would slip through the cracks. It didn't seem like they had a functional recording system for tracking all of the details for my event. They repeatedly asked questions that had already been answered. On the day of the wedding, the chef forgot to serve an appetizer that I had confirmed and reconfirmed multiple times to meet some of my guests' dietary restrictions. Additionally, the dinner buffet food was brought out earlier than we had discussed (it was supposed to come out right after the toasts so it would be hot), and many of the items were lukewarm and dry. MHS also offers month-of coordination services, and I am relieved I did not select them for coordination. Their fees seem to be higher than industry standard, and I don't feel I got the level of customer service that should come along with that. I know they coordinate a ton of events in Louisiana from social media, and my guess is that they've scaled beyond their staff capacity to make each client feel like a priority. I would not recommend them to other brides - you already have enough on your plate to have to sweat the small details over and over again -
