Wonderful Mixture of Religions

My wife and I recently were married by Henry from My Happy Day, and we could not be happier! He was able to make a customized mixed denominational wedding that fit both of our religions, and showed just how much we loved and cared for each other's thoughts and beliefs. He took care of everything, and worked with us to make a beautiful customized service complete with a hand-fastening and a quoted poem.

Great experience!

We celebrated our wedding in May 2024 with Reverend Kelly Smith, and we couldn't have asked for a better officiant. Her energy and professionalism were amazing. Even without a rehearsal the day before, she conducted the ceremony flawlessly. Working with her in the months leading up to the big day was a pleasure; having taken the time to understand our vision, she crafted a ceremony script that reflected who we are as a couple. Her warmth and dedication made our wedding day incredibly special and unforgettable.

Joyce helped make our day so special.

My wife and I hired Joyce Chilton to officiate our ceremony at the Heinz History Center in October of 2023. We are a lesbian couple in our 20s and wanted somebody who would be accepting, warm, and understated in our ceremony. Joyce was a perfect fit from day one. She carries herself with confidence and grace, which allowed the ceremony to have the weight it deserved while still feeling upbeat and joyful. We aren't religious, and though Joyce has a spiritual background, her immediate understanding of our request to keep the ceremony non-spiritual was so appreciated. She was timely, kind, and consistently sought feedback. Any changes we asked for, she applied within our time frame. For the price of her services, Joyce and Happy Day are a fantastic value.

She was so much better than I could have hoped for.

I can not speak highly enough of Kelly. If you are looking, look no further!! My husband's family is from Ecuador, Kelly went above and beyond to make it possible for my husband's speech to be in Spanish. Who else would do that?? NO ONE! She was amazing, I get choked up just thinking about it. 100 people will charge you the same price but there is only one person that will be there for you like that. Thank you so much for all you did my husband and I are so greatful.

Henry was so supportive and helpful! He guided us to create the best ceremony for my now husband and I! My husband and I had an idea of what we wanted, but Henry was able to help us make it come true. He came to our rehearsal and offered his knowledge and expertise. The day of our wedding he was so caring and his word were beautiful and exactly what we needed/wanted! Would definitely recommend Henry and My Happy Day!

We're so glad that we chose Joyce as our Officiant!

Joyce was a pleasure to work with and took the time to talk to and meet with us to discuss our wedding. She accommodated all of our requests including all of our children as a part of the ceremony. Many people pulled us aside afterward and told us that it was the most heartwarming ceremony that they had the pleasure of attending. A custom ceremony

Joyce did a great job of creating a custom ceremony for us, even including a beer blending ceremony that she had never done before. She was open to feedback and was happy to edit the ceremony script multiple times to create a document that we loved from beginning to end. We recommend My Happy Day for your custom wedding!

Beautiful Multi-cultural Ceremony

We hired Joyce Chilton as our wedding officiant. Joyce did an amazing job officiating our wedding ceremony. She wrote us a very nice script and worked with us to edit it and make it the very best version it could be. Since our wedding was multi-cultural, we had some specific elements we wanted to incorporate and she was very willing to accommodate those traditions. On the day of the wedding, everything went smoothly and she made our ceremony as beautiful as we had hoped it would be. Thank you Joyce!

So appreciate Joyce's flexibility and understanding!

After the pandemic threw a wrench into our wedding ceremony's plans, Andrew and I reached out to My Happy Day to find an officiant to officiate our wedding in less than six weeks. What a task!!! Even though we were living in another state and under a time-crunch, Joyce came to our rescue and made the process extremely simple, stress-free, and fun. She was willing to talk with us over the phone and Zoom to get to know us better, and she was able to create a meaningful script for our day that we were able to adapt to fit our needs. She listened to us to understand our religious backgrounds, and she encouraged us to invite family members to do readings during the ceremony to make it even more special. Thank you, Joyce and My Happy Day, for helping us make our ceremony so sweet, meaningful, and stress-free!

Simple and hassle free

Henry was an excellent officiant for us. We had expressed early on that we would like our ceremony to touch on our catholic religion to honor our elders but that ultimately we want the ceremony to be about our connection to each other. And he balanced that perfectly for us!

Professional, reliable and courteous!

My Happy Day made it so easy to book the services that we needed. The officiant was professional and caring and helped us to personalize the ceremony. He accommodated our schedules, even as we had to twice reschedule the zoom meetings leading up to the big day. At nearly the last minute, I needed additional services and My Happy Day owner was persistent in helping me secure everything we wanted for our big day. You can count on them and they deliver so graciously!

Perfect, professional, wonderful experience

I selected Henry Hallet as our officiant. He was very kind and helpful in guiding me with selecting the readings, vows and ring exchange words. We had a very intimate ceremony just my husband and I. Henry was so kind to even print out all of the readings for me as a keep sake. Also we needed to push back our ceremony time by an hour and he was very flexible and accommodating. Kellie, who coordinates and helps you select an officiant, was also very helpful and continuously checked up on me to confirm all the services were to my liking before and after the wedding.

Amazing Flexibility and Understanding

Unfortunately our wedding was cancelled due to Coronavirus. I had already booked with Kelli, but she was very understanding about the situation and gave me a refund. The best part was her phone call to me though. I was very sad about the wedding but she called me to make sure I was ok. She gave me ideas for future vow renewals and parties since we weren't rescheduling our wedding. I felt a big relief after talking to her. She was so sweet and made me feel better about the whole situation. I would recommend her to anyone!

My husband and I had the honor of having Mr. Henry Hallett officiate our wedding this past June and he was absolutely wonderful. At the start of the process, Mr. Hallett kindly reached out to us and was willing to drive well out of his way just to meet with us at our convienece to discuss our visions of our ceremony and to get to know us better as a couple. He answered all our questions, because let’s be honest I was clueless as to how these things were done, and came well prepared with printed versions of various readings, examples of vows, stories, ceremonial pieces, and anything else we could have wanted or needed in order to choose what would best fit our own ceremony. Mr Hallett then took the time to ask us about ourselves and our relationship. We shared stories of how we met, fun things we like to do together, our hobbies and various interests, even the very goofy story of my husbands proposal!! Mr. Hallett was beyond professional, but not in an upstight sort of way. He was friendly and kind and helped us create what was literally the perfect ceremony for us! He was more than willing to work with the event manager, my wedding planner, my husband and myself, he even handled a few “ceremony format” questions from my father with complete class! Mr. Hallett stayed in touch throughout the whole process, he answered any questions that came up, and was very easy to get ahold of. I honestly feel like he was truly happy to be a part of our special day, and we’re honored to have had him there as well. I am happily recommending Mr. Hallett to anyone and everyone who may be looking for an officiant!! He played a key role in making our special day absolutely perfect, and we couldn’t be more grateful!

My name is Emi Young and I must say that working with my happy day was one of the great decisions I made while planning my wedding. My husband, and I where together for 7 years before our wedding and finding someone who could capture the love we have for each other and we are also not traditional by any means but with the help of Kelly she was able to narrow the search down to two great officiants and the one we had chose was Tara Weiderstein. Her understanding of what we wanted for the services was profound, she took all our ideas and the way we thought about each other and put them into words that described the best day ever.

We worked with Rev. Joyce Chilton for our wedding on 8/26/2017. She did a fabulous job. We wrote our own ceremony script, so her responsibility was to read it and sign our marriage license. She was quick to respond to all of our contact and arrived to there ceremony on time and professionally dressed. They also offered a very fare price compared to other competitors. Ask for Henry! He sat down and got to know us and listened to what we both wanted for our ceremony. His delivery was on par with what we expected. He showed up early and made for a stress free event. He helped set the stage for our festive and joyous day.

We were so incredibly happy with Marguerite Rafalko from My Happy Day as our wedding officiant. We are still hearing from guests how much they loved our ceremony! We met with Marguerite and immediately knew from how easy it was to just chat with her that we wanted her for our ceremony. We requested for our ceremony to be short in length but to be memorable and meaningful, and it was JUST THAT! Thank you My Happy Day :)

My same-sex partner and I had been planning to get married for quite a while...and although I am religious, he is not...so that made choosing an officiant very difficult - we had NO idea where to start. We were glad to find My Happy Day's website, and saw it was from the Pittsburgh area, near where we were getting married. Kelli Burns got back in touch with us very quickly. She answered all of our questions about setting up a wedding, and gave us good reviews of the officiants that were available.
We chose Henry Hallett as our officiant, and Kelli made arrangements for us to meet. Henry is quiet, warm, and understanding, and was really great to work with! We were planning the wedding to be short, with only some close family and friends attending, and wanted some religious readings in the ceremony. Henry gave us a lot of different options to choose from, and we were able to put together something that was just right.
In the months leading up to the wedding - both Kelli and Henry stayed in touch to make sure that there were no details that were being left out...we appreciated that!
We got married at a bed and breakfast, and although we were going to have the ceremony inside, it was such a nice day that we decided to take everything outside and have the wedding in the garden. Henry's readings for us were perfect, and we couldn't have asked for a thing to make it better.
For *any* couples not sure of how to put their wedding together - or not sure of where to turn to be able to find an officiant - I would definitely recommend My Happy Day and Henry!

I couldn't believe how personal and delightful the ceremony was. I felt taken care of the moment I made the decision to use this vendor. Our officient was Barbara Schwarck and she couldn't have been more warm, helpful or accommodating. She made both of us feel as though we were her only client and that she really wanted to get to know us and cared about us. We couldn't have been happier with the ceremony!! It was personal and delightful! Many of our guests came up to us and asked where we found our minister as they thought she did a wonderful job. Some of them expressed that they had never experienced such a warm and lovely ceremony!! That was pretty awesome!

We loved Barbara! My wife wanted a non religious ceremony and had spoken with Barbara about our wants after first contacting Barbara. Barbara set her mind at ease and she felt extremley comfortable with Barbara from the beginning. We had an inperson meeting with Barbara a few months prior to our wedding where she took the time to get to know us, learn how we met and was able to see the connection my wife and I share. She took the time at our rehearsal dinner to talk to our family and friends and even stayed and hung out with our close friends and family after all to get to know my wife and I better. She knows how to take command of the ceremony and rehearsal. Our rehearsal was one of the shortest I have been a part of. She listened to what was important to us during our ceremony, but otherwise we let her design the ceremony (we had no idea what would be said). Barbara was very accessible and responded to emails in a timely manner. Not only was she a wonderful officiant, I also had the chance to sit down and speak with her and she is an all around wonderful woman who has wonderful views on the world. I would highly recommend Barbara for your ceremony.

Barbara just makes things easier on the busy bride. We wanted to create a ceremony that was meaningful to us. We had ideas and she was able to incorporate them. Barbara also asked us questions about us and our relationship. By the end of the first planning session she knew us and got what we wanted.

When it came to the wedding day, she guided us on what was going to happen and what we needed to know. It was not much, she took over and just steered us through the ceremony. We were at ease, relaxed, happy, and most of all fulfilled that this ceremony was EXACTLY what we wanted. thank the stars for Barbara Schwarck at My Happy Day!

We had Rev. Marguerite as our officiant. She was very easy to work with and our initial meeting/get to know you session was great. My husband and I had Barbara Schwarck officiate our small wedding in January. She was wonderful! We had a short engagement and only started looking for an officiant within a month of the wedding. My husband and I do not attend church regularly and felt uncomfortable approaching a local church and asking their pastor to officiate our wedding. Rev. Susan Talbott was recommended to me by a friend and as soon as my husband and I met with her, we knew it was a perfect match! She really gets to know you as individuals and as couple and makes you feel so comfortable! She kept in touch during the months leading up to our wedding and even asked me for a list of names and relationships of people who would be at our rehearsal so that she could get a head start on learning who was who. At the rehearsal she began by getting to know all of my close family and friends and welcoming them all. She helped to calm all of our nerves and keep everything organized. On the day of the wedding, again, she helped to keep us all calm and our ceremony went on without a hitch! I cannot say enough about Susan as a person and how perfect our ceremony was! She even stayed after the dinner into the reception and had fun with all of my guests! I would absolutely recommend her to all!

Susan Talbott was our officiant for our wedding on October 4, 2014. She was absolutely wonderful, she made the rehearsal and ceremony a breeze. Susan Talbott was an absolute delight to work with....from the time my husband and I first met with her (after we got engaged), we instantly felt a connection with her and knew she was the perfect fit for our wedding ceremony. I am not a man of ceremony, nor one to invest time in what many would find important as traditions. In my senior years of life I married for the first time a few weeks ago in a Same-Sex Relationship. My interests was our bond and not a ceremony. My first consideration for the marriage process was a license offered in PA, called a Self Uniting License ( nicknamed Quaker Marriage) but friends pushed that we should have the marriage officiated. We found Barbara Schwark on My Happy Day website. As the Officiant, what she brought to our ceremony, made it memorable beyond any expectation. She took the time to meet and formed a genuine sense of us as individuals and as a couple. She brought out those characteristics in the ceremony which made those moment memorable. She turned what I was viewing as a necessary legal process into a feeling experience we will always remember.

I cannot speak highly enough of Barbara and My Happy Day! Barbara married my husband and I on a beautiful Saturday at the Greendance Winery in an outdoor, natural amphitheater. She truly captured both of our unique and polar personalities and religions and she united us two in a romantic, flowing, and peaceful ceremony.

Rather than pour sands together or light a candle, we chose to paint a picture together. Although new to Barbara, she immediately embraced the idea and wrote a beautiful piece as we painted our canvas! After we had finished and walked back to the center, a gust of wind blew our paining over, smearing it in the grass. Everyone gasped in horror, but Barbara quickly jested that "that's life!" and everyone laughed and smiled!

She was always flexible and offered many suggestions and advice. She always responded quickly and precisely, answering all of our questions. We met a couple times in advance to prepare. She then conducted an efficient rehearsal at the winery and joined us for our rehearsal dinner!

Above and beyond all, she made us feel so comfortable, as if we had known her for years. Her professionalism and casual, comforting demeanor eased my nerves every time I spoke with her; as a stressed-out bride, I cannot thank her enough for that!!

Once we decided to be married in our home and all of our family could be there with us - I had exactly 2 weeks to plan the wedding! I called many magistrates and went on-line to find an officiant that would accommodate this last minute wedding request. My search led me to Barbara - who was very flexible and very interested in finding out just what we wanted for our wedding day. She arranged to meet with us one week prior and during our meeting was able to gather personal information and sentiments that we wanted to include in the ceremony.
We were very pleased with her professionalism, and ability to work with us and our family on our special day.

Barbara was nothing short of amazing!! Our original plans were going to make our wedding very simple and humble, but with Barbara’s support and great ideas, it turned out to be the most magical time of our lives. It was still a small and intimate wedding, but Barbara’s words made it a delightful ceremony. She was very accommodating when we told her we wanted to get married within one week and also when we changed the time of the ceremony at the very last minute. We were so busy trying to get everything together for the big day that didn’t have time to write our own vows so she helped us with that as well. She did an excellent job overall. We laughed, we cried, we had a great time. We feel very lucky to have found Barbara because she made an already special occasion, exceptional and unique. We feel lucky as well because we call her now our friend and we will recommend her for anyone that plans to get married in the future!!!

If you want to have a wedding ceremony where your family and friends ask where did you find that minister, then follow with comments like "she was awesome" and "that was one of the best ceremonies I've ever witnessed;" then you would want Barbara Schwarck to officiate!! How personal and comfortable and special the whole process was; and people still talk about how great the ceremony was!! I think you're getting that I can highly recommend her without hesitation!!!

Hiring Susan from My Happy Day was the best decision we made! Our wedding ceremony was the highlight of our wedding day! The day was full of stress and anxiety with so many of our vendors not coming through as they had promised, but Susan was just wonderful and fulfilled her role as our officiant beyond what we could have ever hoped for. She met with us separately before the ceremony and said the most beautiful and calming prayer, and then proceeded to officiate the most eloquent, personal, and meaningful ceremony... Looking back on that day we still go right to those moments on the staircase with Susan. She understood both of our religious backgrounds, as well as the nuances of what they meant to each of us, and to our families. She expertly guided us through creating a ceremony that interwined our traditions and reflected our personalities, individually and as a couple. She also provided unique insights and resources, including the idea to give our parents and close friends roles in the ceremony, and lending us some unique ceremony texts to inspire us when we decided to write our vows together. Barbara was wonderfully accommodating to our needs! We asked for a non-secular ceremony and that is exactly what we got; both of our relatively religious families could not have been happier with the way the ceremony was handled. She really took the time to get to know us so it was not at all generic. In fact, I have been to some church ceremonies where the person officiating doesn't even get the couples names and information right.

Excellent service and Henry was fantastic

Henry is so professional and calm when it comes to officiating weddings. For ours, he provided us with amazing non-religious readings, ring exchanges and vows that we selected and it was just so seamless and stress free.

Henry was a great officiant for our wedding. He tailored the ceremony to fit us and our ideas. We got a lot of compliments on the service. My only caveat was perhaps in communication leading up the event. I don't know what the usual timeline looks like but I was getting nervous when I hadn't heard from anyone a month prior. However, once we connected everything went smoothly.

My husband and I used My Happy Day for their officiant services. We worked with Henry Hallett who was our officiant for our ceremony. From the first time that we met with Henry, we felt comfortable around him and he was very personable. During our first meeting, Henry asked questions to get to know us better and took notes on all of our answers. Henry was very attentive and created our ceremony just as we had asked. He was prompt for the rehearsal and for the ceremony and made our wedding day memorable. During the rehearsal, Henry made sure that everyone knew what to do and that all questions were answered before everyone left. Our ceremony was flawless! We would recommend Henry and My Happy Day to anyone looking for an officiant for their ceremony!

Joyce is a lovely officiant for our wedding day

We chose Joyce Chilton to officiate our wedding ceremony. She was easy to work with and enabled us to craft our own unique ceremony script. We did have a minor miscommunication during our ceremony: the readings were not provided and the officiant script was not the final copy. Luckily, our family was prepared with the readings and the script only had minor changes. This could have been prevented if we had a more thorough walkthrough but the ceremony was still a success. Outside of that issue, Joyce provided us with a good officiant experience.

Henry was great! When we met with him, he really tried to get to know us and make sure that the ceremony was very personal and exactly what we wanted. He also gave us a lot of materials with suggestions for readings, vows, and other parts of the ceremony when we weren't sure what to go with.
