Matt and Nick were wonderful to work with. Matt reviewed all the details of the day with us in advance and had a clear plan for the day. We appreciated Matt’s recommendations and how he and his second videographer, Nick, were so professional and knew exactly what shots to capture.

The short film came out absolutely beautiful. We love our feature film and all of the chapters of our day. MV Film Productions does a fantastic job!

Beyond Spectacular!

Matt Van Ness is incredible! I am so glad we decided to hire him because he captured all the amazing moments of our day. He is an artist and a true pleasure to work with. He made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. He sent us a preview/trailer of our wedding video THE NEXT DAY and it was beyond my wildest dreams. Speechless

Matt was recommended by our photographer in 2020. We only met with two videographers and, without hesitating, we knew we needed Matt at our wedding. From his remarkable talent, down to earth personality, and dedication to us as clients.. it was an easy decision. We barely made it to the parking lot before deciding we wanted him at our wedding.

While we knew Matt was awesome, he blew us away on our wedding day. He showed up at 8am, and didn’t leave our side until almost 11pm. From drone shots of our church, outdoor shots of the hotel we got ready in, to shots of our wedding reception, he didn’t miss a beat. We gave him a vision and he went above and beyond our expectations. By 7pm the next day, we had a mini film that allowed us to re-live every single moment front the time we woke up until our guest departure.

Matt and his second shooter Max made us feel like we were the only wedding they have ever shot. They made us feel comfortable in moments thah could feel awkward, made sure they were capturing things we envisioned, and overall exceeding our expectations. I have to mention that Matt even went to the front desk of our hotel to get windex to clean the window my wedding dress was hanging on. Our guests couldn’t believe that our photographer and videographer teams were two separate companies that’s how well they worked with one another.

Matt will be a lifelong friend of ours and the main reason why our memories never fade. Putting our gratitude into words is challenging, but we hope he knows how thankful we are. We would highly recommend Matt and his team for your wedding. Thank you Matt and Max, for absolutely everything.

Highly recommend booking MV Film Productions for your wedding! Matthew and his team were so professional and accommodating and their work is incredible. The second that Matt sent our video over I forwarded over to my family and friends and the feedback we got back was amazing- so many people said they were moved to tears from watching. Absolute Magic!

We are so impressed with the quality of work that Matt produces. Our sneak peak and full length movies captured every detail and all the emotion of our wedding day without skipping a beat. We were absolutely blown away by the final products! Matt is a Genius

I highly recommend MV Film Productions! Matt was incredibly responsive, so wonderful to work with (my other vendors said as much as well!), and is so incredibly talented. He said he would be a fly on the wall the whole day, and he and his 2nd shooter really were. We loved spending time with them, but as promised, we didn't feel like we were being filmed or being hovered over. The final product was so amazing and so perfect as well! Matt has such an eye for detail, and he gifted us such a wonderful video to look back on for years to come. Watching the film was like reliving the day, and it was so wonderful to be able to enjoy it all over again and to see moments that I previously had been unable to.

One of the best videographers we have ever worked with! As a video professional myself, I was very critical of who I wanted to select to capture our special day. Speaking with Matt you can tell he is very passionate about what he does. He not only knew how to get the most out of his equipment, he also remembered one of the most important elements about video production: how to tell a story. Most vendors we spoke with talked about how they used this type of equipment or threw around buzz words to sell us, but his approach won us over, focusing on the story first! On the big day, Matt and his team were very professional, from the time we got ready until the reception, they knew how to get the best shots to capture the moment. Matt and his team went above and beyond our expectations for our wedding video. Matt collaborated with all of our vendors to make our wedding day exactly what we imagined. Matt and his team shared their ideas and helped incorporate our vision into what our wedding video would capture. It is one of our most cherished memories from the day. Working with Matt was great! He was very helpful during the planning process, and his team worked extremely well with our photographer which really makes all of the difference on your wedding day. Not once did we feel like the cameras were interrupting our day, and they really captured every moment beautifully. One word..AMAZING! Matt and his team did my brother's and then our wedding. We knew from the first moment of wedding planning, we knew who was going to be our videography. With this team, no detail is too small or left out. We saw a sample of Matt's work at our venue's vendor day, however it wasn't until we met with him that we knew we had to have him video our wedding. His energy that he brings to his work was simply infectious and his cinematic style was exactly what we were looking for. We are so incredibly glad that we chose Matt and his team to be a part of our special day as they made the entire experience so enjoyable. They were very professional, in fact they were early to meet up with us while we were getting ready at the hotel. My wife is someone that does not like being the center of attention, and Matt was able to make her feel very comfortable throughout the entire day. It never once felt like we were being posed for a shot, instead it was a very natural process. He was even able to work with us to ensure that he captured our custom choreographed first dance from multiple angles.

When it comes to their results, there is nothing that beats getting a 3 minute sneak peak of your special day the day after your wedding! We hadn't even left for our honeymoon yet! To top it off you get an edited version of your entire wedding within 2 weeks! The quality of his work is incredible! My wife and I have already viewed our wedding video over 10 times since we got married in June and each time it brings a huge smile to our faces. Matt and his team truly did an amazing job!

Where do I even begin!? I first tried using Matt and his team for my sisters wedding two years ago but it was a last minute decision and he was booked... when it came time for my wedding I knew for sure he was definitely going to be a part of our day! MV Film Productions is the best of the best! We added a videographer last of all our vendors, and we could not be more glad that we did. Matt and his team were so friendly, kind, and a pleasure to be around the day of our wedding. Matt's passion and professionalism is unmatched. He pulled out all the stops and truly went above and beyond to make our day and our film absolute perfection. He even added special touches that weren't included in our package that really made our film that much more incredible. It was an absolutely freezing day in March and everything could have gone wrong at any moment, but MV Film Productions hung in there through the snow and the frigid temperatures and captured all of our special moments in such an amazing, personal, and tender way. The trailer, short film, and long film all came back within a month, and we could not have asked for anything better. Just pure perfection all around. I've shared the films with all my family and friends and they all agree. Matt captured so many special memories just as we remember them, and we are so lucky to have found him. The experience with Matt and his crew from day one was wonderful. At every meeting Matt was energetic and fun. He was very down to earth and made the whole process of choosing him very easy. He had films online he was able to show us when we met with him. We appreciated his take on filming our day and made it as memorable as it could have been. The short clip of our day was so lovely and still months later we are getting comments on it. It all came together so well. When we were taking our portrait pictures he also captured a still shot that I absolutely love. He knows which one this is because even though he was not our photographer I had emailed him asking for it because this is the image he used on our DVD's he made us. When we watched the DVD at first there was a slight glitch in the picture, and although it was disappointing at first I literally texted Matt from my couch asking about the glitch. The CD has a glitch in burning because what he had on the "Master" didn't have it. He fixed the problem that night and sent out the new one. Very impressed. I was also quick to ask when we received the DVD of our day if he could make the DVD in UK format because I have relatives (literally my entire family) from England. He made 3 additional copies in the format for me to be able to send home. I thought this was a nice touch. Matt worked well with all the other vendors that day and we would recommend him to those looking for a personable, energetic cinematographer. Thanks MATT!!

Think of it this way....you're spending how much money on the day?! Why wouldn't you get something that you can watch to relive it every chance you get? My sister didn't get a videographer for her wedding and she regrets it (didn't even get to see the "walk in" dances at the reception). My wife, Brittany, and I chose Matt and his team and couldn't be happier. We have watched the movie a dozen times (not to mention the deleted scenes, bloopers, etc). Matt and his team were a bride's DREAM vendor to work with. They are so responsive through email, they do all of the work to plan the meetings and make sure that all of your needs are met, and they go above and beyond to create your dream wedding. My husband and I could not have asked for better from them. We even received our first trailer THE DAY AFTER the wedding... unreal! All of our guests commented on not only how fun and nice they were, but how unobtrusive they were - you never even noticed them there. The guys were also the nicest people I have ever been around. Having them there when we were getting ready was so nice because they helped with anything we needed, even if it had nothing to do with the video. And when we were outside taking pictures and filming Matt's assistant was constantly checking on me to see if I was cold or if I needed something. We have never been so thrilled to work with someone. If you are shopping around for a wedding videographer, look no further! My husband and I had the pleasure to work with Matt and his team at MV Film Productions for our May 2016 wedding. Matt is so passionate and enthusiastic about what he does and it is so evident from the first moment you meet him. Besides his great cinema skills, he is punctual, reliable, has great attention to detail and is an all around, fun person to have working with you on your wedding day. At our first meeting and every subsequent meeting we held to plan the day, Matt's consistent theme focused on how his video was going to portray a story of our big day. The final product does just that and more - It is an absolutely beautiful story that seamlessly transitions through all aspects of the day from hair & makeup prep all the way to the end of the reception. I still cry every time I watch it and am so thankful to Matt and his team for providing us with this video that will be cherished for a lifetime to come.

All i have to say is please make a smart decision and use Matt (MV Film Productions LLC) and his team for your special day. Just absolutely wonderful and easy to work with. My husband and I had some unique needs with our wedding and Matt was able to accommodate us completely! He and his team were professional and responsive throughout the entire process and were able to capture our day beautifully on fairly short notice. The final video exceeded our expectations and we're so glad we went with Matt and his team! Planning a wedding can be a very stressful time and Matt helped ease our burden through his suggestions and vendor recommendations. Filming can sometimes be an awkward thing but my husband and I felt at ease the entire time.

Matt and his team at MV Film Products were incredible to say the least! Matt knew exactly what we were looking for in our wedding film and both the film and preview clip he delivered were amazing! Our guests are still talking about how much they loved our preview! The best part about Matt’s team is he captured every moment without even being seen! He was not following my husband and I through out the night, most of the time I didn’t even realize he was even there which is what we loved so much about Matt. And still he got every important shot and created a beautiful memory for us.

I would recommend Matt to all of my closest friends and family for sure!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Matt and his team at MV Film Productions. He was recommended to us from out photographer, HK Photography. They've worked together on numerous weddings. They bounce ideas off each other and work well with each other. The two companies together make memory magic. Once we met with Matt we knew right away that we needed to be our videographer. His passion, excitement and enthusiasim is contagious. He is proud of his work and rightfully so. Through all the stress of planning, Matt truly made me excited again. We had an initial meeting with him, then a meeting to sign the contract and one more meeting the week before the wedding. He is professional and responds to emails/texts/phone calls promptly. The morning of the wedding, 8/6/2016, he showed up early to start detail shots. He brought a second photographer, Abraham, who also shot with him. Matt and Abraham work discreetly. They were never in the way, it was as if they were never there. But their work truly proves differently. Matt used a drone to get beautiful aerial shots of the venue. Also used a go pro to get amazing time lapse imagines. The day after the wedding Matt had already put together a 2 minute teaser clip of the wedding. The quality of his work is simply amazing. Our families and my husband and I were over the moon. We CANNOT wait for the full video! Definitely look into MV Film Productions!

MV Film Productions is out of this world!!! Matt is simply the best! He is extremely talented and has a gift for creating a film that captured our wedding day perfectly. We got married last month and I could not be more thrilled with our choice of having him shoot our wedding and create such an unique and creative video of the day (which started in the morning with hair and make-up at the hotel until the last dance with the band at the venue- they got everything!). Matt is super fun and easy going and never felt intrusive. Most of the day, we did not even know that he was there, however he got the most amazing shots and the sound and quality is outstanding. There are no words to describe our preview video that we received WITHIN 24 hours- I cannot wait for the full length ! It brings tears to my eyes because he captured the day just perfectly and I am so grateful of that.

Matt is very professional and met with us several times before the wedding- in person and even by Facetime- because we were in Boston and he was in CT. Even in the early stages of planning for the wedding, Matt VERY helpful and helped us create our first timeline for our big day and made sure that we thought of every detail when planning out the "who, what, where, and when"- his experience with weddings and advice is extremely useful. Matt brought a team who were all extremely professional and talented. I appreciated how well that Matt and his team worked with our other vendors, especially our photographer, prior to and on the day of the wedding. From beginning to end, Matt was attentive and thoughtful and I would highly recommend that you use MV Film Productions to capture the perfect video of your wedding day. Matt and his team shot our wedding in October 2015. After our first meeting with Matt, we just knew he was the right fit to capture our wedding day! He has such a beautiful, cinematic style that makes you feel like you are truly watching a film. He has an easy going personality, but is super passionate and excited about his work. Matt’s talent, demeanor, passion, and artistry made the whole process seamless and enjoyable. He was very detailed to ensure that he captured every aspect of the day that was important to us. His creativity the day of our wedding led to some really incredible footage.

A couple days after our wedding he posted a sneak peek on Facebook and we were so excited to watch it while we were on our honeymoon. We got so many compliments from friends and family who enjoyed watching it as well. And even better was the full length film that we watched beginning to end and enjoyed every single moment! It was so much fun to relive such an amazing day, and to laugh and cry, and see things all the little things (and hilarious dance moves) that we missed. We got such a kick out of watching our bridal party entrances at the reception that we didn’t get to see because we were the last to come out. This film is so special to us and something that we will always cherish. Having a wedding film is so worth it and not something that should be overlooked. Matt is the best and goes above and beyond to make his couples happy! Thank you for everything Matt!

Matt and Abraham were impeccable from start to finish. The quality of work is beautiful. I have received so many compliments about how appropriate they were during the whole wedding and how they weren't "one of those wedding videographers" that were blocking guests views. You never knew they were around, and somehow got beautiful shots of our whole wedding. Even the little bloopers that my husband and I had during the wedding, which was so "us" that made it so much more personal to us. We could have not have asked for a better videographer company to have done our wedding. I'm so grateful to have found Matt and chose him for our special day. Deciding to have a videographer occurred late in the planning process, but it was a decision we would definitely make time and again. We had seen Matt’s work through “sneak peeks” of other weddings, but it wasn’t until we saw ours that I realized just how talented he really was. Matt’s knowledge and experiences with weddings, in addition to his attention to detail played a vital role in helping us with the logistics and details of our wedding day. Matt is professional, organized, patient, talented, and passionate. From the first meeting, he throughly explained what he has to offer and all that is included without feeling rushed. I gained trust in Matt from the beginning. When we had any questions, he was always quick to respond. Matt includes an engagement video just to get to know couples and to build a relationship with his clients. My husband and I chose two places that were far in distance and Matt agreed without hesitation at no extra charge. Matt is incredibly talented and truly has an eye for detail. He has years of experience not only in filming but audio as well. Matt uses the most updated equipment/technology. At our wedding, while he was operating the Drone, several guests asked questions and Matt didn't hesitate to answer. A few weeks after the wedding, I asked Matt to add something into our film that was a gift we received and I had forgotten to give it to him on the wedding day, Matt agreed when he could have refused especially after the wedding day. As a bride, many things we don't see until seeing the film. The film was ready within weeks after our wedding and I would gasp in awe at several clips. When my husband and I speak of MV Film Productions, we speak with confidence. We would highly recommend hiring Matt and his team to anyone. Even if you aren't considering film, set-up a consultation and give it a chance because you won't regret having it, although you may regret not having it.

Matt and team did an awesome job and were so great to work with. He truly went above and beyond, from the engagement shoot to the final wedding video. He has a special eye for details and produced a high quality product. I'm so happy we chose to have a wedding video because I was able to relive it over again and catch a lot of things I missed! If you're on the fence about getting a videographer, do it! Matt came up to Boston and shot for our 2/21/15 wedding.

I cannot recommend him more highly, and based on his reviews, I am not alone.

He is professional, experienced, and timely in his correspondences. He communicates well, and exhibits sincere interest in capturing your wedding, from the big moments to the small details. He uses high quality equipment and is constantly evolving his techniques.

What I enjoyed most about working with Matt was his enthusiasm and passion for what he does, and I truly feel that it translates into his work. He doesn't hesitate to go that extra mile. He drove all the way to Boston before our wedding to scope out the wedding sites, just for the day, on his own initiative. He is creative and collaborated well with my photographer.

I am so excited that I will have these memories to look back on for the rest of our lives. Go with MV Film Productions!

What truly makes Matt unique are the little details that he caught and the artistic techniques he used to capture those details. Right from the start, Matt was amazing! We met with him about a year before the wedding, and my husband and I knew right then and there that we wanted Matt to film our wedding!! He has such enthusiasm and passion for what he does, and he projects that feeling every time we spoke with him. Every time we spoke, I got more and more excited for the wedding! He gave us creative ideas while also incorporating all that we had in mind. He was very professional, yet very laid back and fun throughout the whole planning process.

Our wedding day ended up being Matt's birthday, and he still gave it all he had to make our day special and perfect! Matt and his assistant Abe were amazing and I would highly recommend MV Films!! I cannot gush enough about Matt. He was the best money we spent on our wedding, and was a last minute add-on. He jumped at the chance to film our wedding just three weeks prior to the event. He was early on the day-off and captured everyone getting ready (including some absolutely adorable shots of my nieces wishing us luck). Matt stayed until the very end - the last vendor to leave (even after our photographer). I wish I could do justice to what he did during the wedding itself. He was videographer, dress fluffer, organizer and sometimes even assistant to the photographer (she should have paid him he did so much!). The video of our wedding is perfect - capturing the highlights and some very precious moments. It took us a year to watch our wedding video because of lost friendships and lost loved ones in the months after our wedding, but it has been our tradition to pop the DVD in on our anniversary and re-live the night. I cannot say how truly irreplaceable our video is and that is a testament to Matt's ability to capture the best "stuff". To have Matt video your event is one of the best investments you can make to ensure that memories are captured beautifully. I really could go on and on...

I can't say enough about MV! Matt and Max made our wedding day so much fun! They were organized, prompt, friendly, warm, and never in the way but always there. Not only were they great on the actual day, but when we received our film we couldn't have been happier. The packaging was awesome, they had photos of us included in it, and the dvd was perfect. Matt used all songs we requested and did a beautiful job editing it all together. We have had so much fun watching everyone dance and seeing our day over and over again. From the very first day I met Matt to go over the details of the wedding, I knew we were in good hands. He was professional but fun at the same time. He was very organized and had all question ready to go. It put me at ease that I didn't have to worry about anything and he also made me aware of the small details I may not thought of when planning a wedding.

As we got closer to the day, he was in constant contact with us to finalize every detail and to make sure our times and places matched for each step of the day. When it came to the day of the wedding I had no doubt that our wedding video would be beautiful...and it was! Matt did an amazing job making sure everything was perfect. Family and friends raved about what a great guy he was and how he knew exactly what he was doing. He got everything in the video I could have wanted and the cinematography was perfect. The smile did not leave my face the entire time I watched and it comes back again every time I think about it. The case the video came in was beautiful and completely personalized. You don't just get a DVD in a plastic case.

From the moment I spoke with Matt and when he walked into the bridal suite while we were getting ready he fit right in. If he wasn't enjoying our conversation or adding to it, he was quietly blending into the background seamlessly. The shots he took were amazing and went beyond our expectations for a wedding video . I've only had the final video for a short time but I've already watched it twice! (Shhh don't tell my husband he might think I'm crazy!). All in all Matt was a pleasure to work with and really captured the essence of both our relationship as well as our relationships with our friends. He was creative in his own right but also was open to suggestions (however none were needed since his ideas were amazing!) We couldn't have asked for a better videographer or final product. I have to also add that videography was a very last minute add and I can't even imagine what the final product would look like if we had more time to spend brainstorming ideas. FYI his stills from the video even made for great photos! Hands down one of the best videographers we know!

After all our initial research and meeting with other videographers we were not only amazed at his talent, but at his enthusiasm. His sample work was the best by far, so we were very excited to book him and his second shooter, Abraham. Our meetings with him to discuss our wedding were always well informed and relaxing. The day of the wedding went very smoothly and he worked great with our photographers (Russell's photography Studio). In the morning Matt kept in touch with Abraham, who was with the groom and while filming with me he even let me know that my groom was in the limo on the way to the church. He was great at directing and came up with very creative shots. We love our wedding video! Even the detail he put into the photos used for the case and DVD were very professionally done and amazing! Matt and Abraham were a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend MV Film Productions to anyone.

Any bride would be glad to have Matt Van Ness as their wedding videographer. My brothers actually hired him for my husband and I as a gift, and therefore I never met with him before hand, they did and I couldn't be any happier with how our video turned out! Matt provides a specatular quality of service that allows you to feel relaxed during your event, knowing that he has everything handled and in place perfectly allowing you not to worry about anything! we loved working with matt right from the first time we met him. he was so excited and also made us so excited about our wedding! he was very easy to get a hold of and went through everything we needed to know about that day. we were able to see his work which he brought along with him. he was able to meet us half way from where we were and was always timely (i think we were the ones that were always late!) . i would hire him in a heartbeat again! he made a fantastic photo montage for us to run during the receptino it was so nice!

My husband and I were not considering a video due to budget constraints.

I am so excited to write a review for Matt! I don't even know where to start. MATT IS AMAZAING! He is truly one of the most talented, professional and passionate people I have met. From the first meeting to the last he worked with me and my fiance to ensure he knew exactly what we wanted to capture the day of our wedding. Matthew was awesome to use as a videographer. My husband and I could not have been more thrilled during our time working with him. From the start, he takes the time to really get to know you as a couple and what you want out of your wedding video. His style is very modern and cinematic, and he makes sure to capture everything! He is with you for the entire day, start to finish. He is of course there for the hair, make-up, getting ready, ceremony and reception part, but Matthew makes sure he captures the details and the little things as well. There were many times throughout the day that we would forget he was even there. His style of shooting is discrete and non-invasive, but he definitely makes his way around to capture everything. He didn't miss a beat!!From the pre-wedding meetings to the actual day Matt made EVERYTHING easy, and everything went perfectly. Matt is great. He was extremely professional and the quality of his work is exceptional. We got married at St. Clements Castle in May of 2013 and Matt did a great job coordinating with both the staff at the venue and our photographer. Matt was amazing!! We decided late in the process to add video and Matt was awesome to work with. He made us feel comfortable immediately with his communication skills. The day of the wedding, he was right there at the salon to film the girls, and he was the last person to leave. I remember commenting to my wife "omg, did you see Matt?" with all his equipment and the way he worked the venue, it was obvious that he has a passion for what he does. Matt blended in, and was always very courteous to the guests. He worked really hard and of all the vendors, he became a favorite of ours as we re-capped.

At first my husband and I were not going to hire a videographer for our wedding due to budget constraints, and seeing the pricing of a lot of the prices to have a videographer. I was doing research and found Matt from MV Film Productions and decided to set up a meeting. After meeting with Matt we decided to hire him for our April 5, 2013 wedding, and we could not be happier! Leading up to the wedding Matt responded to every e-mail in a timely manner. We met a few times through out the wedding planning process. Matt made us feel at ease, and he knows what he is talking about. Matt is very reasonably priced and he worked with our budget. We just received our wedding video this week and it is AMAZING! He captured every moment and we are so glad that we decided to hire Matt. Our wedding was the most incredible and special day of our entire lives! Watching our video allows us to go back in time and experience the joy of it all over again – thanks to Matt Van Ness from MV Film Productions! We have never seen someone with as much passion for his job. Hands down he is amazing at what he does and chose the right career for him! He took his time to sit down with us, as a couple, to get a sense of the entire day, so he knew where to be at all times and what to capture. When we watched our video it brought smiles to our faces. With how fast the day goes by, we didn’t want to miss anything and he truly caught it ALL on camera! It’s almost as if he had a sixth sense! He captured so many candid moments, and all of the love shared! Matt was so comfortable and easy to work with and it wasn’t just us who thought this – our entire wedding party, and all of our guests thought the same! Everyone loved working with Matt! Relatives keep asking to come watch the video to experience it all over again too, for they could tell Matt was going to put together a masterpiece. Matt's videography was flawless and our wedding video is perfect. Beyond that, his professionalism on the day of our wedding was something other vendors should aspire to be. Matt is a young, smart, talented videographer. He went to the venue the day before the wedding to get familiarized. He kept me on the loop while in the process of editing the video.
