My (now) wife and I were introduced to Joshua via a mutual connection. Our biggest wish going into our wedding was to have a great time dancing with all of our family and friends - however one of our biggest concerns was my partner and I's music taste, and how most of our daily songs aren't 'dancing' music. From the moment we met Joshua via our intro call, we felt confident that he was going to be the DJ for us - he was prepared and professional, he had access to all the right equipment, and had the ability to adapt on the fly to whatever came his way (even with last minute MC additions my wife and I made 24 hours before our wedding). Beyond the planning sessions, where Joshua helped build up our confidence in our music selections while also including his professional recommendations - on the day of the wedding he showed up early to setup his equipment, and to confirm any last minute changes that we had made. After the ceremony and speeches, he got the dance floor absolutely popping off! (I wish I could share some photos here).

We had the absolute best experience with our wedding DJ, Josh. From the very first conversation, he was incredibly friendly, communicative, and easy to work with. He took the time to understand our style, our timeline, and the type of energy we wanted throughout the day, which made us feel completely at ease leading up to the wedding.
His setup and breakdown were extremely professional and impressively timely — he arrived early, coordinated seamlessly with our other vendors, and made sure everything ran smoothly without us having to worry about a single thing. Throughout the night, he was a huge help with all of our announcements and kept the flow of the reception effortless and organized.
Most importantly, our guests had an amazing time. We received so many compliments about the music and the overall vibe of the evening, and that’s all thanks to Josh’s ability to read the room and keep the dance floor full. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! Joshua perfectly curated the energy throughout the entire day, from the ceremony to cocktail hour to the dance floor. He read the crowd effortlessly and kept the vibe exactly where we wanted it all night long. He even went above and beyond to help ensure our friend could perform our first dance song live, which made the moment even more special.
Beyond his incredible music and coordination, Joshua’s setup looked amazing! Top-quality sound, a clean and aesthetic design, and beautiful uplighting that elevated the entire atmosphere. He was also so easy to work with: professional, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day unforgettable. We can’t recommend him enough! -

J Fields makes your wedding one to remember!!!!!
Joshua Fields is hands down the best DJ you can find to do your wedding. He carries a confident swagger but makes you and your guests feel at ease with his humility and kindness that just emanated from his energy and vibe.
I didn’t read many reviews prior to booking him but could tell from his website, photos, and brief comments that he was the right choice for our wedding and boy was I right!!
He’s a gifted emcee and DJ. His timing was impeccable, at transition from ceremony to cocktail hour the weather changed from sprinkling rain to sunshine and he played the song “Change in the Weather” by Chris August which was absolutely perfect.
On the dance floor he kept the energy flowing THE ENTIRE time. It was the hardest I had ever danced in my life, I was sore for 3 days after the wedding. He’s an artist through and through. Also was able to accommodate a wide variety of musical tastes from Bay Area rap to Shaboozey, to 80’s pop, and everything in between.

Joshua is seriously the BEST! He is a total pro through and through. He put us at ease immediately, and made this whole process fun and exciting. We gave him pretty minimal guidance on what we were hoping for during our special day (I just knew I wanted to dance!), but he took that flexibility and ran with it perfectly. We had guests commenting on his music even before the ceremony started, through cocktail hour and dinner, and definitely at night when he kept us dancing for hours! We honestly cannot recommend him enough, especially if you're like us and feeling a little uncertain with wedding planning or overwhelmed with all the details. We had Joshua as our DJ/MC for our wedding day and cannot say enough good things about him. He really kept the party going and all our guests loved the music and had such a great time dancing. We gave him a specific playlist for the early part of the day and let Joshua do his thing for the dancing later part of the night. He picked the best songs, really vibed with the crowd, wore the most awesome pink suit and just happened to match our floral arrangement great and we'd 110% recommend him for any wedding!! Joshua was an amazing DJ for our recent wedding in October at Kiana Lodge just outside of Seattle. This was our 4th rescheduling of our date due to Covid and our previous DJ couldn’t make our new date so we were really looking for someone who was worth the wait. We then found Joshua based on some great reviews and he was able to take on the job like a star. Looking back on our wedding, we feel like it was meant to be that Joshua was our DJ. He did a great job running the entire event. We had a fun schtick where we made tables play Rock Paper Scissors to see who could hit the buffet line first, and Joshua couldn’t have been a better emcee for that. He was personable, funny, and an all around excellent host. His dinner music playlist was so on point and matched exactly the type of music we love and all we did was supply him with a dozen artists we loved. A wedding guest even texted me during dinner that the playlist was fire. And all this was before we hit the dance floor for the most fun and epic wedding dance party I can remember (granted I’m slightly biased). Joshua played a terrific mix of wedding hits, rap, EDM, rock, etc. There was something for everyone. He brings great sound, energy, and just an overall magical vibe that perfectly matched our intimate event. From the beginning, Joshua was kind, inclusive, thoughtful, and energetic - it was clear our day was about to be a high-energy and memorable celebration. And it definitely was! Leading up to the wedding, Joshua provided his expertise to help us select music that represented us as a couple while also celebrating our guests and their music tastes. Let’s just say - mission accomplished! TL:DR - if you need a DJ/MC, do yourself a favor and hire Joshua.
This man is the greatest. He DJ'd the shit out of our wedding and really took his role as vibe patrol very seriously. His energy was amazing, his song selections were right in line with our musical taste, and the dance party was nothing short of bangin'. He is a guy you wished was in your friend circle, and he will be my first call any time we need some musical assistance at an event.
I also REALLY appreciated him not only taking the time to priovide us a musical schedule/selection template weeks before the event, but also taking time to meet with us beforehand to talk through it and give us tips. He suggested some brilliant changes of direction on some of our musical selections, and it ended up SO much better than our original plan.

J Fields is amazing!
I got married on 9/3/22 and Joshua was our DJ. He was recommended by our wedding planner and it was a perfect match. Joshua was very easy to work with, and overall made us comfortable and confident during our ceremony and reception. I gave him a blueprint of who we were, what we liked, and he ran with it. I can confidently say it was the best wedding dance party I have been to. His ability to adapt the music based on crowd reaction was amazing. My only complaint is the venue kicked us out at 10pm, I wanted to keep dancing until the sun came up!
I recommend Joshua to any couple looking to get married, celebrate a birthday, etc. Your guests will thank you.

If you’re looking for someone to really turn up the party then you need to book Music by Fields! We decided to have an industry night at our bridal boutique and hired Joshua. He was super professional, had the crowd dancing the whole night, MC’d and got all of our vendors engaged. He had all high quality equipment as well. We gave very little direction and he got really creative and it really set the tone for the night. He went above and beyond our expectations and has set the bar extremely high. I will continue to recommend Music by Fields to all my friends and family. -

It’s not a party until Josh arrives.
Josh set the vibe for our wedding from pre-party, the sound/mics for the ceremony and reception toasts, and the best dance party. We actually extended the party by 2 more hours, the venue had to shut us down because we were having so much fun dancing.
For a very different kinda of party, Josh also ran sound and music for a family member’s celebration of life. The building lost power due to a storm, but some how he worked through it and filled the room with music and ran a slideshow.
Plus Josh is just an awesome human.

Joshua is the best
We absolutely loved having Joshua DJ our wedding.
From the time we secured him for our wedding to the event itself, he was the best to work with. If you are like me - a bride that doesn’t feel super “bride-y” or isn’t all that familiar with wedding traditions - Joshua will help answer all your questions about the flow of the ceremony and the reception. He made helpful song suggestions, explained what the most popular traditions are and kept in mind mine and my husband’s personal tastes.
My mom had a unique speech planned that required musical cues and she was able to go on a covert mission with Joshua ahead of the reception and the both of them together pulled off a really heartfelt surprise. He will help with anything to make your day extra special!
Beyond that - we had our wedding in Michigan and Joshua happily traveled to join us for our event.
Our wedding was over a year and a half ago and people still ask where our DJ was from! -

Like many before us, our wedding was taken to the next level with the J. Fields experience. We booked Joshua well in advance of our July 2024 wedding because we knew it would be competitive to get him in peak wedding season! Our wedding was at Olympic Sculpture Park in Seattle - a venue he has done many times. He worked with us in the months before to craft the best music for both the cocktail hour and the reception. I was unable to secure a lighting coordinator but luckily he has hookups in the industry and was able to rent some lights to make the venue look cozy.
One of my biggest fears was that no one would hit the dance floor - I received helpful guidance on how to keep the party going through the night. He did a great job of sequencing good songs that would appeal to all generations. At the end of the night our issue was getting my family off the dance floor!
We had one small snafu with the sound during the ceremony. We couldn't hear our officiant at first and then it was difficult to hear our vows. Joshua gave us a profuse apology after the event. Weddings are very stressful and his professional management of the situation was appreciated. I would advise any couple (whether they are with Joshua or not) to consider what mic system they will use for their ceremony and how that mic might be passed back and forth for vows.
We value good music and were particular about what sounds we did (and did not) want to hear. Joshua accommodated that well and took our notes to craft an incredible night. Book him! -
