The Mt. Washington Mill Dye House is the perfect Baltimore wedding venue! It's industrial, yet warm and romantic. The space was a great fit for our 120 guests. Working with Michele was truly a pleasure. She was quick to respond, attentive to our needs, and understanding. Everything felt seamless, from the start of planning through our wedding day. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous venue!

We highly recommend booking your wedding or event at the Dye House! When we got engaged we had a lot of criteria for what we wanted in a venue, a few key ones were a venue that had charm and didn't just feel like white walls and a dance floor, a venue that only held one event at a time, an outside caterer, and a location that was easy to travel to for guests out of state. I searched high and low for a venue across several states and found the Dye House featured on a photographer's blog post. The photos took my breath away and I pretty much knew I had found the venue right there and then. Even though I spoke to many venues on the phone, the Dye House was the only venue we saw in person and we immediately fell in love and booked it right away! Unfortunately, they were so booked that we had to pick a date 2 years out but having the long engagement ended up being the best decision ever and it was well worth the wait!
Michele was so easy to work with and always answered my emails promptly. She knows every detail and every inch of the Dye House like the back of her hand and I always trusted her recommendations if I ever had any doubts. We loved both catering options but decided to go with Copper Kitchen because they seemed to be a little more hands on with the planning process and we couldn't have been happier. All of our guests raved about our food and the bar service was excellent.
The nice thing about the Dye House was that, aside from the caterers, we could use any vendors we wanted. We tried to select vendors that have worked at the Dye House at least once before, most of them have worked there quite often, so it was nice to be able to trust their recommendations and listen to their suggestions. We loved that we had a beautiful canvas to work with, we felt like the venue had enough charm on its own where we could make it as simple or elegant as we wanted. Our guests were in awe with the charm of the venue and loved how unique it was. It was also very easy for everyone to travel to--we had our guests stay in Harbor East, Baltimore and they were able to drive, fly, or take the Amtrak very easily.
Without a doubt it was worth the wait to have our wedding at the Mt. Washington Mill - Dye House! -

Our experience working with Michele at Mt Washington Mill Dye House was nothing short of perfect. The space itself is absolutely gorgeous, inside and outside, there's not an ugly room or view.
The team of vendors that frequently work with the Dye House are true professionals, everyone we chose to work with provided just enough guidance so we felt we knew what we were doing without imposing their ideas. Sherri from Linwoods was amazing and everyone raved about the food and service!
Communication was always prompt and clear. We were given options and flexibility for indoor vs outdoor and pros and cons for each. Sadly, our outdoor ceremony didn't happen, but we had up until the afternoon of our wedding day to make that call and we are so happy with our decision, even though it wasn't what we originally imagined.
Michele also helped coordinate some rentals that we shared costs with another couple getting married the following day.
There's not a thing I would have changed about this day, and a big reason for that is the service and space at Mt. Washington Mill Dye House. -

We loved having our wedding at the Dye House! The location is filled with so many beautiful, unique, and memorable spaces, both inside and out. This indoor-outdoor nature was important for us, as while we envisioned an outdoor wedding, we of course knew that you can never count on the weather, and we felt that an indoor wedding would not be much of a disappointment (if it rained on our wedding day, etc) at the Dye House, especially compared to some of the other places we were considering. We were lucky enough, though, to have nice weather on our wedding day, so we had our ceremony in the courtyard under that beautiful tree, with birds chirping like we were in a Disney movie. It was magical! Highly recommend! -

We used the Mt. Washington Mill Dye House for our wedding on 10/28 and had such a great experience working with the venue. We were first interested in the venue for the rustic/industrial look, but we got so much more! We worked with both Jackie and Michele, and both were so nice and helpful. We had many questions throughout the planning process, and they were always prompt to reply and offered their experience and guidance. All of our guests were impressed with the aesthetics of the venue. We would definitely recommend using the space for your wedding or other event! -

If you’re considering Dye House or it’s sister venue, Winslow, just go ahead ahead and book it. The space is beautiful and Michele the Director of Events is lovely and accommodating. Throughout the planning process I didn’t have a wedding planner until the last few months, but she graciously answered questions I had about the space and logistics within record time. The exposed brick and outdoor options of the Dye House make for a unique and intimate setting for your wedding. -

When my husband and I toured this venue over a year ago we immediately fell in love with it - the history of the space, the mixture of textures (bricks, stone, wood). It felt quintessentially Baltimore to us, which is exactly what we wanted for our friends and family who were visiting for the first time. After touring other venues, it was quickly apparent that the Dye House is extremely well equipped - over others in the area. The on-site kitchen, the narrowed-down selection of caterers, even the chairs (which would be a huge upcost elsewhere), were all a no brainer for us. We worked with both Michelle and Jackie who were immensely helpful. I can't even count the number of people that told us it was the most beautiful venue they had been to. This was the best decision we made! -

The Mt. Washington Mill Dye House was the perfect venue for our beautiful “winter wonderland” wedding. We knew from the moment we toured that it was the place for us. Michele was really easy to work with, professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. She answered all of our many questions promptly. She was very knowledgeable about nearby hotels, shuttles, caterers, rentals, and all the other vendors we needed. The venue itself was the perfect size for our ~150 guests with plenty of space for dancing and a great location to go to from our Hotel in the Inner Harbor. We were so happy that we picked the Mount Washington Mill Dye House for our wedding venue and highly recommend working with Michele! -

The Dye House is simply beautiful. It was the wedding of our dreams. Michele was so great to work with, extremely responsive, and very flexible to our individual needs as a family. The venue itself is gorgeous, romantic, and truly has so much character. It gives your wedding a romantic unforgettable feel. We ended up moving our ceremony indoors the week before the wedding because of the harsh sunlight on the courtyard during that time of the year and it came out even more beautiful than we could imagine. The cocktail room has a new outdoor terrace which was lovely for both our guests to enjoy and for our photos. We truly love this venue and are so glad we chose it! -

Best wedding venue in Baltimore!!
Michele, Director of Events at the Dye House, was such a pleasure to work with. She is extremely organized, knowledgeable, friendly, detail-oriented, and cares about each and every one of the couples she works with. It was a bit stressful at times planning our wedding during COVID, but Michele was flexible and even let us select a Plan B wedding date in the event that we needed to postpone our wedding. This definitely put our minds at ease and gave us the reassurance that we selected the right venue!
The Dye House may seem a bit pricey at first, but it’s an all-in-one package where we were able to get married and have our cocktail hour and reception at the venue. They also just built a large outdoor patio in the back which we were extremely happy about because we utilized it on our wedding day, which turned out to be gorgeous weather!
Michele worked with all of our vendors to ensure our wedding day was beautiful and I couldn’t recommend her and the Dye House enough. -

I photographed a stunning wedding here and *WOW* I was impressed. Not only was the venue absolutely jaw-dropping, especially in the reception space, but also the location was ideal for outdoor photos. The venue is tucked away in its own space, making you feel like you and your guests are the only ones around (which is fantastic for a Baltimore venue)! Also, in only a short walk from the venue, you come upon multiple photo-worthy spots that both my clients and I were thrilled with. I've attached some photos of both the outdoor and indoor spots I LOVED! I 100% will continue recommending this venue to everyone!!!

Obsessed with Dye House!
We cannot speak more highly of working with Michelle Coziahr or having a wedding at Mt. Washington Mill Dye House. The space itself was everything we wanted - you don’t need to do much to it, because it has so much personality and Michelle helped us see how some light choices could go a long way in complementing the natural decor. Tables and chairs are included, which avoided a large rental cost, and they have 2 top quality caterers that they work with, which made food a very manageable (and win-win) choice. Michelle was extremely responsive and asked/answered all the questions that we had about the space/day before we could get around to asking them. She really knows the space and helped make the wedding day extremely smooth. -

When my husband and I saw the Dye House for the first time, it was during the daytime. The cocktail room, the reception area, and the courtyard were beautiful! The brick exterior and the brick interior with the cement wash fit the industrial vibe that we were looking for. Leading up to the wedding, the Dye House team were absolutely wonderful. Their communication, professionalism, and enthusiasm made the wedding planning process a breeze! Michele from the Dye House was very accommodating, as well. When it was the night of our wedding, my husband and I entered the venue, after already taken our "first-look" photos, and the venue was absolutely breathtaking. We thought it was beautiful in the daytime, but NO! The Dye House makes having a nighttime wedding a serious game changer! Also, one thing I would like to add, some brides don't think about the importance of having a bridal suite, but let me tell you, it makes a difference! The Dye House's bridal suite was a PERFECT additional to the venue. The bridal party had a place with some privacy and to drop our personal belongings off and leave them in the suite until the end of the night. Throughout the night, we received so many compliments on the Dye House. The best part about the Dye House is that you can have your wedding either outside OR inside depending on the weather or what you envision. Fortunately, the Dye House is gorgeous regardless, so it didn't bother us that we had to have our wedding inside because it was too cold. -

The Mt. Washington Mill Dye House is such a special venue!! We looked at many venues and the Dye House, by far, was the most unique. Chrissy and/or Janin were a pleasure to work with and quick to respond anytime we had any questions. Aesthetically, you can transform the venue to whatever your vision may be. Our vendors worked together beautifully to create our dream wedding and I couldn’t imagine having it take place anywhere other than the Dye House. -

I discovered the Dye House while helping a friend to plan her wedding years prior to my own, so you can imagine how happy I was to host my own nuptials there! Both the interior and exterior are beautiful—so much so that we kept our decor minimal so that the more rugged touches could shine alongside the florals and lights. The space is well organized and attendees have plenty of space to mingle, dance, and walk around. Was the only place we looked and would highly recommend!

Simply Perfect!
The moment I saw pictures of the Dye House online, I knew I had to have my wedding reception there! The space is so unique and gorgeous on its own that it doesn’t need much décor, and I was able to execute my vision perfectly- simple, elegant and “cool.” Our guests could not stop talking about how amazing and beautiful the venue was. Everyone at the Dye House was so nice and easy to work with and the whole evening ran so smoothly. I honestly did not have many questions leading up to the day, but whatever questions I did have, Chrissy was very helpful and responsive. It was the perfect venue for our winter wedding and I’m so glad that we chose it. Thank you for helping to make our wedding day the best day ever! -

Beautifully perfect
When we decided we were going to get married, I had no idea what kind of venue I wanted - until I saw The Dye House. From those first pictures I saw on the site, I was so excited to see the venue in person. Our first meeting with Chrissy was all it took to seal the deal. The building was gorgeous and Chrissy was a wonderful partner in all of the planning. She talked me off the ledge a few times and did so with a hug and a smile. I honestly don't know what I would have done if she was not a part of my team. I am so grateful for every second she dedicated to making my day as special as possible. -

Beautiful Venue!
We absolutely loved having our wedding at the Dye House! We mainly worked with Chrissy, and she was fantastic -- very responsive and helpful. And during our reception, we received multiple compliments about the venue (unique, beautiful, cool space, etc.). I definitely recommend using the Dye House for any event! -

The entire team at the Dye House (first Linda, then Chrissy and Gina) were very responsive and accommodating. We had about 160 guests and there was plenty of room. The team at the Dye House was familiar with our vendors and the set up and take down was seamless. We are so grateful that we had the Dye House as the backdrop to our big day - it was beautiful! -

Kristina Sent on 12/01/2017Mt. Washington Mill Dye House is a gorgeous venue - it's a unique mix of rugged, industrial, and modern, and is stunning inside and out. It was a great layout for both our ceremony and reception - there's even a separate area for cocktail hour, which is a nice touch. We had about 110 guests, which was a great number for that space.
The team was very easy to work with - very professional and accommodating. While the list of approved vendors may feel a bit small, every company we worked with was truly top notch and very experienced at the venue.
The venue was an amazing backdrop for a truly amazing day. -

The management team was very accommodating and gave us a final walk through of the venue two weeks before our wedding. This allowed for our main vendors to meet and any outstanding questions to be answered in person before the day of the wedding. The Dye House was flexible when working with our fluctuating numbers and was transparent about their successful relationships with previous vendors. We initially wanted to have the ceremony outside, but mother nature had other plans. This change, however, had little impact on our day because the Dye House transformed half of the reception space into a BEAUTIFUL ceremony space and it was flawless!
Chrissy, our Events Coordinator, was very attentive and caught up to speed on all of details of our wedding despite replacing Linda shortly before our wedding. She was organized and orchestrated our numerous vendors seamlessly throughout the night. -

This venue captured us both right from the start. The venue and staff could not have been more perfect for our wedding day. It is one of the more unique venues in the Baltimore area. Guests loved the space as much as we did. The three distinct rooms provided plenty of space and flexibility to truly make the event our own. We were able to comfortably hold our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception here. Everything was seamless. We are trying to figure out what other event we could have just to use this venue again! -

Washington Mill Dye House was available for our memorial day weekend wedding less than 1 year before our wedding date as they book up fast...and rightfully so! The venue is so beautiful you hardly need any décor. They are very flexible with the use of the space including the large room, the cocktail hour room, and the outdoor area. Most importantly, they are SO helpful and responsive. Linda was my main contact and she was absolutely amazing! She was always quick to respond and her responses were always helpful. Our wedding turned out absolutely beautiful despite our last minute move indoors thanks to the weather. I would definitely recommend this venue!! -

We recently got married Labor Day weekend and 3 days before our wedding, Michele let us know there was going to be a bike race on the day of our wedding. She said she had no idea about it however all of our other vendors had known about the race and were planning accordingly. The Maryland Cycling Classic, the BIGGEST one day bike race in the US had been announced several months before. My partner and I live in Boston and we chose this venue for the look and also the expertise and convenience of vendors who had a ton of experience working the venue and knowing the area. Leading up to the wedding date, Michele had been helpful and prompt with replying to emails.
On the day of the wedding, the race ended up delaying our start time by 45 minutes. We had family members outside coordinating and negotiating with police officers to figure out how to allow guests access to the venue because Falls Road was blocked off. While most of our guests are able bodied and resourceful in being able to find alternate parking and walking, we had several handicapped and elderly family members had to rush and walk much farther than expected on a VERY hot day. We also had several guests turn around and go home because they could not access the venue or find alternate parking.
This was completely unacceptable. Our guests literally did not have access to the venue and Michele was NOT HELPFUL. We had family members and friends running around, directing driving and walking guests of where to go, negotiating with police officers. Michele stayed inside, did not offer assistance, did not coordinate with police officers or provide staff to do so, did not provide any compensation and generally was rude to our family members and friends that were trying to coordinate all of this. Prior, I specifically asked her to provide contingency plans for if the race was going to interfere with our wedding, including alternate parking and all she provided was very minimal instruction on what roads may be closed off.
Certainly we do not fault Michele for there being a huge bike race on our wedding day, however we do expect our venue coordinator to know what’s going on in the community that may affect our very expensive use of space and also provide access to that space. We actually had paid for an additional hour of venue rental for $750 and basically lost that time because we had to start late. Post wedding, we emailed letting her know how upset and disappointed we were with her lack of action and asked to be compensated. We lost about an hour of rental use, were not able to take our sunset photos because we were strapped for time, incurred significant undue stress caused for mostly our immediate family members as they were trying to coordinate guest arrivals, the undue stress and safety concerns for our elderly and handicap guests trying to access our venue, and undue stress for us as we had to rush through the evening events. It’s been a month and Michele has NOT responded or reached out.
At the end of the day, the venue looked lovely, all of our vendors were AMAZING and our guests said they had a great time. Ashley and the Copper Kitchen team (one of the exclusive caterers) did an amazing job and could not recommend them enough. I think if the bike race had not been a variable, I would be leaving a 5 star review. However if you want a venue coordinator that is supportive and will have your back if an extraordinary circumstance arises, I wholeheartedly DO NOT recommend this venue. -
