    Stunning venue

My husband and I got married at Mt. Hood Organic Farms this past summer and it was absolutely sensational! The grounds are stunning with phenomenal views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adam, the architecture and craftsmanship is exceptional (Brady's husband built it all!), and the catering with Ginger is exceptional! Brady takes amazing care of the grounds/cottages and it shows! We truly felt like our day was a fairytale and our guests have continued to rave about our wedding - from the views to the food, it was amazing! We are so grateful for Brady and her team!

    perfect mountain wedding

Our wedding at MHOF was a dream come true! Maybe you hear that all the time, but I really mean it! After a year of worrying and planning, I can not think of a single way it could have gone better. Even when we thought it might rain, they seemed to have the situation under control. Everyone raved about how special and delicious the food was! Plate after plate, it just kept getting better. The farm itself was perfection, from the surrounding gardens to the table settings, to the gorgeous views of Mt Hood (who showed up in all her glory!). Everyone told us it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to! Kristen and your staff, and your excution of the whole wedding vision were perfect. I keep using the adjective perfect, because that’s how it felt! Everything went so smoothly! It is obvious they care about each of their guests and take pride in their work. They made sure it was an extra special day!

    Magical Setting, Professional Team

Mount Hood Organic Farms was a dream come true for my wedding day. The setting is so stunning from the mountain view to the intricate design of the Apple House, and the team made sure everything was in place and ran smoothly. The food from Cultivate Catering is incredible, every one of my guests mentioned how delicious it was, plus they were great about working with everyone's dietary restrictions.

    Best Day Ever

This was the most special place to have our wedding at and bring all of our guests to! I’m reading through all of the reviews and pretty shocked at any non-5 star reviews, but also thankful for them because reviews like that are maybe why there will still a few dates available a year before our wedding and made it possible to have our wedding there! I think anything negative that’s been left is more a reflection of those people and not necessarily the venue.

Brady and John are the sweetest people - I think I came 3 times ahead of the wedding (first tour, to show my mom, to show my mother in law) and Brady was so sweet each time accommodating my requests to come again. This was the first organic farm in Oregon and she and her husband built the place with their own hands. It is clear how much love they’ve poured into this place and the architecture of the apple house (where the reception is) is amazing. And it has the best view of Hood in the area!

Cassandra and Kristen are the best tag team duo of coordinators - super responsive to any (the many) questions I had and always made you feel like you were in the hands of professionals.

And the food is insane - seriously so many guest commented on how good the salmon was and the meal is so seasonal and delicious. Ginger is also the sweetest person and thoughtful plans each meal.

Our wedding was a magical day and I am so grateful we had it at Mount Hood Organic Farms

Mt. Hood Organic Farms was my dream venue, and it did not disappoint. Words can't really describe how gorgeous and magical the place is. From the lush gardens and orchards to that absolutely stunning Hood view to the beautiful and unique tiling and woodwork of the Apple House... Our guests couldn't stop commenting on the beauty of it all, and I feel incredibly lucky to have gotten to get married there.

They require that you use their coordinators and caterer, but this turned out to be a gigantic pro, and not at all a con. The coordinators (Cassandra and Kristen) were SO awesome and incredible and helpful and nice-- the best I could have ever hoped for if I had been able to choose my own, and it saved me the trouble of having to do that. It was also just great knowing that they know the farm inside and out and could probably run a wedding there with their eyes closed. I felt like I was in very good hands. The caterer (Cultivated Catering, led by Ginger Powers) is mind-blowingly amazing-- also the best I could have ever hoped for if we'd had to choose our own (maybe even better actually-- I didn't know it was possible to have wedding food that's this good), and it saved us the trouble of having to do that too.

I really enjoyed working with Brady, the owner, too. Her responses to my inquiries were always courteous, kind, and prompt, and I really enjoyed every in-person interaction I had with her. She may come off a bit more severe than the typical wedding industry professional/seem to have a lot of strict rules, but when you consider the fact that her main business involves producing over a million pounds of apples and pears a year and that she is single-handedly responsible for all the incredible flowers and landscaping around the venue, it kind of makes sense why. I'm pretty in awe of her actually! Just wanted to add my 2 cents since she's come up a few times on here.

We first visited Mt. Hood Organic Farms last fall and booked it for a Sunday wedding in September. We immediately fell in love with the farm, mostly because of all the natural beauty it provides. I had absolutely no interest in decorating and we really wanted to have a low-impact event. The farm made both very easy to do. From the beginning, the team (Brady the farm owner, Ginger the caterer, and Cassandra and Kristen the day-of coordinators) made everything very simple and easy. We had about 120 guests (110 of whom traveled from out of state) and everything went off without a hitch. The teamwork was obvious and I can't say more about how great Kristen was - she really ensured we were able to be present and enjoy the time with our guests without having to worry about any details or timelines. The food was absolutely spectacular and I cannot count the number of people who told me it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. We happened to get married at the height of the devastating Eagle Creek fire that caused a lot of smoke and ash for weeks in the surrounding areas and the actual day of our wedding fell on the first rain event of the fall. Despite nearby fires, smoke, and rain, a month later our guests are still raving about the beauty of the venue and area. Thank you Brady, Ginger, Kristen, and Cassandra for making our day so wonderful!

Mt. Hood Organic Farms is the DREAMIEST place to get married. It was important to us to find a venue that supported marriage equality. We looked high and low for a venue that felt like it actually had the love and positive energy we were looking for. Many of these wedding venues are manufactured and feel very fake, not to mention, beauty is really important to me (one time we visited a venue and from the wedding view there was a UHAUL sign in complete view! This lead me to verify that view was important and we needed to see beautiful things while we were getting married). Mt. Hood Organic Farms is a private, family run farm and as soon as we stepped foot onto the property, we knew were in the right place.

Brady, the farm owner, explained that the farm works as a team with other woman owned businesses: Cultivate Catering & Cassandra Cass Coordinating, and that when you work with the farm, you work with these fine folk, too. At first, we we felt limited by the choices that seemed to be already made, but we eased quickly into trusting the team fully that there must be a reason that they have some structures in place: It's the love and the details! And they work really well together and trust each other. And when vendors trust each other, you can focus on the details and creating a vibration that is like no other.

There was so much love and positive energy that went into our wedding. There was a lot of great care and detail work that I know would have been missed planning a wedding anywhere else. The food with Cultivate was incredible; farm to table, local whenever possible... Everyone would not stop talking about the view! Cassandra was amazing, and helped get everything in alignment. We really felt heard.

If you want the most beautiful outdoor wedding with the best team behind you working like angels in the background, and want to gift yourselves an experience not just for you but for your guests, then you absolutely have to have your wedding at MHOF!

Not only is this farm STUNNING but they are seriously excellent at running weddings. Brady, Cassandra, and Ginger are so organized, kind, helpful, and professional. They really did make planning a wedding seemingly easy. My wedding was honestly more perfect that I imagined it could be. The farm is pristine, the flow of the events throughout the day was ideal, the food was delicious, and they ran the entire day flawlessly. I do not have enough good praises for Mt. Hood Organic Farms! Initially Mt. Hood Organic Farms was slightly above our price mark but we decided to go for it...and I am SO HAPPY we did! It was well worth every penny! I had no idea that planning a wedding could be so straight forward. And much of that is due to the helpfulness of the team at Mt. Hood Organic Farms. All of our guests are still raving about the views, the food, the whole day! We are so happy with our entire experience. THANK YOU!

My husband and I knew that once we stepped foot onto their property we would fall in love and we did!! We didn't even visit when all the flowers were in bloom and when the lawns were perfectly manicured. I saw the vision and knew how special and unique it would be. Our wedding day was complete perfection in our eyes and we floated through the day in absolute BLISS! Brady and her husband do an INCREDIBLE job of maintaining everything and her husband is building the Apple House with his bare hands. It is always a work in progress but seeing the progression is so fun. Also I LOVE the flow and setup for the venue. The way you wind throughout the whole property is truly amazing, from when guests arrive and walk under a charming arbor, to the ceremony with Mt. Hood in full view, to cocktail area by a sweet pond a huge field, then to the Apple House for the reception with drop dead gorgeous views! The Apple House is so charming and unique inside and has the sweetest black and white checked floor with lanterns hanging from the ceiling. One of the best things is that this site has a permanent day of wedding coordinator and a caterer that blew me away!!!! It was the BEST food I have ever tasted and all the guests were so complimentary of the family style food and the venue as well. They made our dreams come true with our wedding day and the memories will always dance in our heads. Thank you so much!!! You all are wonderful!! :)

Mt. Hood Organic Farms was the perfect wedding venue. The farm itself is gorgeous with its pear and apple trees, beautiful flowers, immaculately manicured lawns. The view from the farm of Mt. Hood is absolutely stunning. From the ceremony spot (as well as from the reception site), we had a head-on, unobstructed view of the mountain and everyone was just blown away. We had a pseudo-destination wedding with the majority of our guests flying in from New York City. Our guests are pretty hard to impress, but we had so many people coming up to us during the wedding letting us know how amazed they were at the venue, how our wedding was the best they've ever been to, how they want to get married at Mt. Hood Organic Farms, how they want to do their wedding over again at Mt. Hood, etc etc. There is also an extremely picturesque and cute cottage to get ready in, so you'll have fantastic photos of that as well.

Brady is very professional--she's responsive to emails and is on top of her game. She was also flexible with my requests, although you have to respect that her farm is a working farm (which makes the venue that much better).

The farm was worth every penny and in my opinion is a great value for what you're getting. The caterer that works exclusively with the farm, Ginger Power at Orchard House, is also absolutely amazing. Everyone raved about her food (and are still raving about it). It's seriously the best wedding food you will ever get--all sourced from local farmers.

As we are based in NY, we booked the farm solely based on reviews, photos on the web, a visit by my husband's parents, and two phone calls with Brady. We never regretted the decision and are really hoping some of our guests get married out there so that we can return and re-live the experience without the stress of being the bride and groom!

Absolutely beautiful location with gorgeous gardens and flowers in bloom everywhere. The day went perfectly, and Mt Hood even came out right at sunset, giving us some amazing pictures. The families loved the outdoor setting, even though it was a little cool that day. The Apple House was set up perfectly for our group, and the everything went off without a hitch.

A magical venue space and professional team

I had such a wonderful experience as a partial planner working with Mount Hood Organic farms. Their venue is incredible. It really is one of the most amazing spaces that I have had the honor of working at. Their team is on point. Between the pre-planning, the communication, and all of the details, they really execute a phenomenal event. The venue is quite magical!

We loved having our September wedding at MHOF

We cannot thank MHOF enough for the magic that you all helped us to create. They made it easy to navigate wedding planning from out of state and we truly could not be more thankful for all of your advice, encouragement, and investment in our day! We were giddy all day, feeling just such happiness and confidence in the way the day played out. It was a huge gift to us to hear that both of our parents felt like they could just enjoy the day and be with friends and family, not at all worried about little things.

Our guests have commented on how it was the most beautiful wedding they’ve been to, how the venue felt surreal, and how the food was some of the best they’ve had. One of our friends even told us that she was trying to recreate some of the dishes!

Thank you for letting us create these incredible memories at your venue and for being such a great team!

    Stunning Venue with Amazing Team

MHOF was one of the three venues we looked at, and we put the deposit down within just two weeks! The venue is absolutely breathtaking and has everything we ever dreamed of. It's more than just a wedding venue because it's a working farm that has been lovingly touched by Brady and John – that was one of the main reasons we chose this place.

The way our wedding flowed – from the reception in the garden, cocktail hour by the pond, to group pictures at the stunning Mt Hood, followed by dinner in the courtyard and dancing in the apple house – was absolutely perfect. It's already been a year since our wedding, but every time we run into our friends and family, they still can't stop talking about that magical day!

We have a lot of respect for Brady for maintaining her farm so well and for opening it up for us to use. She is straightforward but fair, so as long as you treat her place with respect, you'll enjoy your day without a hitch. Cassandra and Kristen are also fabulous. I was a bit worried because I worked with Cassandra up until the rehearsal day, but it got turned over to Kristen on the big day. However, there was absolutely nothing to worry about – Kristen handled everything like clockwork.

Last but not least, Ginger and her catering team were simply amazing. We loved that we could customize our cocktail drinks, and the farm-to-table approach was exactly what we wanted. The team was so sweet and had such great energy, and all our guests really appreciated it.

If you're still looking for a venue in Hood River, I recommend going for MHOF – you won't be disappointed!

This is an absolutely amazing wedding venue. It is beautiful, the views are amazing, and the owners really care about the people that got married there. They were always responsive to my questions and I really appreciated the fact that they were present during the day of our wedding. You can tell how much work and love has been put into this venue. It is a truly special place. They run a pretty tight ship, so there isn't much room for flexibility. That being said they did their best to accommodate our request. I would recommend this venue to anyone. Every one of our guests was truly amazed at what a wonderful place it was.

we could not be happier with our wedding experience!!! the venue does all the work for you...it's just amazing. the outdoor gardens, and in the indoor seating area all have so much character and beauty. cassandra helps you take care of everything. they are pretty strict on the rules and i'd say the worst part is that you can't have liquor- only wine and beer. but still, we wouldnt trade this venue for any other.

BEAUTIFUL place, you can't take that away from them. The views are gorgeous especially on a sunny day with the mountain in the background. I was probably more of a "problem" compared to some of their past weddings, I wanted things in different places than the "norm" and even though I had to be persistent and specific with what I wanted, eventually everything worked out.

The venue owner is a little quirky, but she says she just wants things to go as good for us as they can and to an extent I believe her. She is usually pretty quick to respond you do have to be aware when it is harvest season though.

As for professionalism it's about as professional as an orchard can be, I wasn't expecting some high class woman in a business suit with a fancy desk, so I knew what I was getting myself into.

I think the MHOF is one of the biggest bangs for your buck, it was one of the cheaper places I could find in the Hood River area, and the view was GORGEOUS, the grounds were well kept, and the area's to get ready in were quaint and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg.

Beautiful venue! There is no question this was the best we looked at in Oregon.

The owner isn't the warmest person, by any means... but she was very helpful when we had questions leading up to the event.
While she wasn't the friendliest the big day her husband was very helpful and nice when we had to pick things up the next day!

Our daughter got married here June 10th, the venue is beautiful, the staff was great , the food was outstanding, But the owner Brady should let her staff handle the people because she has no personality, down right rude ! After paying what we paid she should have tried to be a little nicer. I would not recommend this venue for that reason. I went away from the wedding feeling sad because she was so rude. It's not how your suppose to feel on your daughters wedding.

Okay, so this venue is seriously GORGEOUS. The venue was a dream and because of how gorgeous it was, I don't regret having my wedding there. However, there are some things I wish I had known:
    1. This venue is Expensive when you add up the venue, the catering, the bartenders you end up paying separately, and the coordinator (that you are required to use). Despite it's cost, they almost awkwardly charge you for Every Little Thing, like I'm handing you a $9000 check (that is Just the venue, not the caterer, coordinator or extras) and I had to worry about all these $5-25 checks/cash for all these little things the day before my wedding (for lawn games, twine/clothespins rentals etc).
    2. They do not like customization. We wanted a unique wedding and ended up doing all the centerpieces etc. ourselves and even though my amazing mom and aunt set pretty much Everything up, the coordinator acted like it was a huge inconvenience.
    3. They were all easy to reach via email. The way they structure this experience is very impersonal though. You make an appointment to visit the farm to see if you like it, you then don't see it again until the May "Site visit" where you and EVERYONE having a wedding there for the summer walk through and go over everything. This is the ONLY time you get to try any food. The food was incredible, but it felt incredibly impersonal.
    5. Lastly, the owner. The owner is very severe and not at all warm. Literally minutes after I was married, I went into the cottage to use the restroom and she came barging in complaining that everyone left their stuff in there (everyone being my 3 bridesmaids and my mom) and how they all needed to move it. I was like…I got married TEN minutes ago, I want to be walking on cloud 9, not worried about all this little stuff! It was pretty upsetting.

Overall, the venue is unlike anything I have ever seen. But I wish I had known all of this going into it….

    Covid Chaos

My fiancé and I had been thrilled to have our wedding here in the summer of 2020. MHOF is a venue with views that are unmatched and lovely grounds. Unfortunately, when COVID began altering the course of our wedding plans, it became clear that the owner was not willing to work with us during this unprecedented time. The owner Brady refused to give back any portion of the deposits and her only offers were to move it to a later date in 2020 and have it as a "socially distant" event. Meanwhile Clackamas County per Phase 1 (the phase the county was in during our wedding date) said "local social gatherings of 25 people as long as they can maintain social distancing". There is no taking away from the splendor and beauty of the location. I do warn brides and grooms, however, that prior to booking you consider that if the owner of the venue showed little to no flexibility during COVID, that I doubt she will show any flexibility if there are any problems that suddenly arise during your wedding planning process. With Brady not giving any portion of the deposit back to any of the brides or grooms, many couples were put in a difficult situation trying to re-plan their wedding with a huge chunk of the budget now being gone. It is a shame that such an extraordinary venue comes with such an inflexible owner.
