Celeste is the best!

Celeste was so wonderful to work with! She was very helpful throughout the planning process and when we had to postpone due to Covid she was super flexible and did not charge anything to change the date. The food was amazing and we received so many comments on how delicious everything was. Book Mrs. J’s you won’t be disappointed! Highly recommend.

Best food and nicest people to work with!

Mrs. J's Catering catered my daughter's wedding this weekend and every dish was delicious. Everyone kept asking where our food came from and we happily told them. We could not have been happier! The staff were all so friendly and easy to work with. I highly recommend this caterer for any event you have. Thank you for our wonderful meal!

Breakfast for Dinner

Mrs.J's catering was the perfect pick for our wedding! We (I, the bride) have always had a unique vision to have breakfast for dinner at my wedding and Celeste and her husband delivered. I kept eating until I couldn't stop because I had to try everything, it was delicious. I want to redo my wedding just for the food. My new husband and I fought (I won) over the French Toast Casserole leftovers, it was amazing!

Beyond blessed!

What a wonderful and amazing catering team! The food was excellent. Celeste and her team made serving our guests for our daughters wedding a truly blessed experience. Food was amazing, table set up was off the chain gorgeous, and Celeste and her team were professional and made our day worry free! Many of our guest were very impressed and asking who provided the food!! I highly recommend Mrs Js for any event you are planning.

Fantastic!!

Absolutely loved working with Celeste! She truly cares about every detail and offered wonderful suggestions on menu items to accommodate everyone. Very professional staff! The food was absolutely delicious and the whole experience was wonderful beginning to end. We received many compliments on the food at the wedding and wouldn't hesitate to have Mrs. J's cater again for us.

Slap your grandma good

Where to begin. Ms. Celeste is the warmest soul you will ever meet. I was welcomed with open arms to taste what I found to be some of the most delicious food I have ever put into my mouth. I was one of those difficult clients that wanted a specific food to match my wedding theme, and BOY, DID MS. CELESTE DELIVER. I had requested chicken Parmesan, but was on a limited budget. Ms. Celeste graciously created a chicken Parmesan casserole and THE BEST side dishes. I was curious to how the casserole would taste since I had never heard of such a thing, but again "BOY, DID MS. CELESTE DELIVER." After trying Ms. Celeste's food, I guarantee you won't have to look anywhere else. What really solidified my decision was the way Ms. Celeste treated both my now husband and myself. She was so kind and understanding to our budget, but understood that the food was a big deal to us. Ms. Celeste created a unique and special meal that my guests still rave about! Ms. Celeste is so warm, loving, and humble. She will treat you with the utmost respect while making your heart and tummy happy. I STRONGLY suggest you stop looking anywhere else and hire the lovely Ms. Celeste. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing food, Amazing service

Celeste helped prepare a delicious menu for our wedding that included BBQ, mac-and-cheese, and a fall vegetable medley. She did a great job communicating with us throughout the process and checking in with us when we were overwhelmed with all the wedding details, and our friends and family raved about the food. I would HIGHLY recommend Celeste and her team for any catering needs.

Wonderful!!!

First class catering all the way around! Having worked in the catering business in the past, I must say that Celeste impressed me on every level! The food is fabulous. The staff is super cordial. They were punctual and organized. They showed up, set up (even the cake pop table that we did not purchase from them), and started serving up the best southern food around before I even knew they were here (and it was in my backyard). They didn't bother me for anything; they just made it happen!!! If you are looking for a competent, professional, friendly caterer...look no further! Thank you, Celeste!!! You were an integral part in making my daughters wedding a huge success!!! You rocked it!!!

Perfect food and service

Absolutely wonderful all around

Celeste is an absolutely amazing woman! She is so sweet and kind and very professional. She was so easy to work with even though she had to travel 4 hours to my wedding venue in Maryville, TN. She is prepared for anything and everything. She made sure everything was exactly how I wanted and even added her personal touches to make it better! The food was PHENOMENAL. Our guests had nothing but great things to say about the food! She made sure to make plates for my husband and I and brought them to us as soon as we sat down. I definitely recommend using her for your wedding or any event you want catered!

Mountain Wedding at Sampson's Hollow

Celeste was such a joy to work with! Living near Nashville and planning a wedding menu held in Maryville could have been very stressful! Celste was a wealth of suggestions, planning and preperations! The food was absolutely wonderful! The service very professional and her personal touches were spot on! I look forward to working with Celeste again in the future!

Celeste was fantastic!

Mrs. J's provided everything we wanted out of a caterer and even more. My wife and I live in Atlanta, but got married in Nashville, so we had to cram most of our wedding planning into one weekend. She was super flexible with us and very accommodating to both our schedule and the foods we wanted.

The food was all phenomenal, several guests commented about how much they loved our biscuit bar. Her prices were very reasonable, and it was clear that she cared very much about helping to make our wedding special. I would absolutely recommend Mrs. J's to anyone!

Absolutely LOVED our experience with Celeste at Mrs. J's. The Krispy Kreme Casserole was the most divine dish ever created and the most talked about item at our brunch. Even weeks after! She was such a pleasure to work with and we loved everything she made. Her staff was professional and made our party move smoothly throughout the event.

Our daughter was married on a spectacular afternoon October 2016 . The wedding was a gorgeous affair lovingly designed by friends and family. Mrs. J's catering was a huge part of our successful celebration. Celeste was wonderful and helped bring our menu to perfection. Our guest loved our food selections and the food quality was excellent. Mrs Js catered our recent, outdoor summer wedding and we could not have enjoyed working with Celeste more. She is such a kind and fun person to get to know. From the moment of our initial email to tasting her beautiful food to the wedding itself, working with her felt like working with family. Even in the early planning stages of our wedding, my husband and I knew that we wanted Southern foods that we both grew up on. When looking for caterers, not many served fried chicken which is what we wanted to serve as our main dish at the reception. Then we found Mrs. J's. Celeste was a joy to work with and was able to create the most perfect menu for our special day! We had appetizers of fruit, cheese, and crackers, along with ham and rolls, a dinner menu of Southern fried chicken, green beans, mac & cheese, and a spring strawberry salad along with yeast rolls. She also included sweet tea and water. The food was absolutely delicious and we got so many compliments on it as well as on Celeste and her staff! Overall, I cannot say enough good things about Mrs. J's Baking and Catering!

Mrs J's Catering was simply amazing! Celeste made the entire process so easy and it doesn't hurt that she is the nicest person you would ever want to meet. Her food is Southern homecooking at its finest! Our guests (even our videographer!) say its the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Do yourself a favor and hire her!

Everyone at Mrs. J's was a delight to work with and the food was wonderful!! Celeste walked us through the process of finding the right menu - the groom and I have very different tastes :). We ended up with some lovely appetizers, a delicious southern food buffet, and a cake table with 5 of her desserts. The food was so tasty and our guests raved about it! My favorites were the chicken poppy seed casserole and the lemon cake. Not only was the food delicious, but it was also displayed beautifully.

Mrs. J's took such care with all aspects: food quality, aesthetics and service. We would absolutely use them again and recommend to any of our friends!

For our wedding we chose Mrs. J's Baking & Catering. After looking over the menu options I felt pretty good with my choice for vendor. However, after meeting with Celeste I knew that I had made the right decision. She was so flexible and offered great suggestions that we greatly appreciated. She was on top of everything and didn't miss a beat. Not to mention the food was amazing! The jalepeno mac and cheese was wonderful and my wedding guests still compliment me on the food that was served. Everyone was very professional during the reception and I felt as though the service was executed perfectly. If I had to chose a vendor for catering again I would definitely pick Mrs. J's Baking & Catering!

If you are looking for a caterer for your event please give Mrs J's a call. She was so nice and very helpful with all my questions. Always got back with me in a timely manner. On the day of the wedding she was there on time with her staff and most importantly the food was wonderful!!

After reading so many great reviews, and after checking out her (delicious, extensive) menu options, I booked Celeste to cater our wedding of 80 people. All through dinner I just kept thinking, "This is the best food I've ever had at a wedding!" She was always responsive (generally by email), and even adjusted the numbers a few days before when we had some unexpected RSVPs. The food was, as I said, to die for - highlights were the blue cheese mac and the pork barbecue. Her serving staff are all just about the nicest people on this green earth, as well.

Mrs J is PHENOMENAL! It's a no brainer to use her, especially if you are getting married at Front Porch Farms. She is so accommodating and so sweet to work with, not to mention, an amazing chef!! The twiced baked potato with the cheese sauce was all-the-rave with our guests. It was actually pretty funny how much people were talking about them. She is creative in her setup and completely takes the riegns so you don't have to worry about a thing. Very well priced especially for the amazing food you get.

I couldn't recommend her any higher. Stop looking and book her now!!

Mrs J's Catering has Awesome country food...fried chicken, green beans, macaroni and cheese, salad, rolls, sweet tea, and the best banana pudding and rocky road brownies ever!!! We fed 40 people for a wedding rehersal and had an great meal.

I cannot find enough accolades to describe Mrs. J's catering. As the mother of the groom responsible for the rehearsal dinner and living out of state, I cannot tell you how much I appreciated all she and her staff did to make this event so perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, the service outstanding and most importantly, I knew from the very beginning every detail would be handled in the most professional and friendly manner. Don’t look anywhere else for a Nashville wedding caterer! Celeste is incredibly easy to work with. She is responsive, attentive, flexible, and highly professional. She was present and engaged in brainstorming and willing to tailor the menu to exactly what we wanted. She had so many creative ideas that we hadn’t even thought of when it comes to homestyle cooking! But most of all, Celeste is a genuinely kind person. In a day when outstanding customer service is hard to come by, Celeste stands head and shoulders above the rest! Highly recommended.

Mrs. J's not only had the most delicious food of the event I attended tonight (that mac and cheese...SO good), but Celeste was one of the kindest, most genuine people I've met around town - which says a lot for a friendly city like this one! Highly recommended for your wedding, private event, or whatever have you. And I can't wait until my next helping of their southern cooking. :)

I don't think there is enough space on here for me to sing the praises of Mrs J (Celeste Morris). First, she has become almost like family to us. Now that the wedding is over, we are sad not to be talking with her all the time! We live in a different state but got married in TN. I contacted Mrs. J via email and arranged for her to "reserve" us as clients. When I finally got to drive to her beautiful home just outside the city and meet with her, I felt like I had known her for years.
Now let's talk FOOD. Mrs J's food is UNBELIEVABLE. You can tell she takes her time putting a little love into everything she makes. We sampled a lot of options at our tasting, and there was nothing I didn't want to eat 3,4 or 5 servings of. Even after the wedding, all my family and friends kept raving about how delicious everything was! I could not have asked for anything better. (besides her food being so delicious, her prices are very reasonable, too!)
She was also excellent when it came time to arrange the reception. She communicated with me and my fiance (now husband) frequently, updating the menus and pricing, and she put up with us when we couldn't make up our minds. As we were having our ceremony outdoors and we did not want a buffet style, we had to rent extra equipment for her to be able to serve her food hot and outdoors. She was so great at helping coordinate this, taking her time to drive to our reception site and walk through with the wedding coordinator (we live out of state so we couldn't do it!)
Mrs J is everything you could hope for in a caterer, and a friend. I can't wait to have another excuse to call her up for more!

Working with Celeste and the folks at Mrs. J's was such a pleasure! Celeste was super quick to respond to ANY question (catering-related or not) I had, since I was completely new to the wedding planning process. In the months leading up to the event to the night-of, her main goal was to be sure my husband and I were taken care of. We had so many guests compliment our choice of food - everything tasted great and exactly how we remembered from when we did our sample tasting. I'd highly recommend Mrs. J's to anybody!

Mrs J's was the BEST!!! Not only were they super helpful and flexible throughout the planning process, but the quality of service and food was AMAZING! We could not have asked for a better staff to make out guest feel at home.

My guests were head over heels for the cornbread pudding and Mrs J’s homemade peach barbeque sauce was delicious.

We absolutely loved working with Mrs. Celeste! She was such a joy, very easy to work with, and an AMAZiNG cook! She is great at getting in touch with you and returning e-mails! We hired Celeste to cater our wedding this past June. She was amazing! We were planning our wedding from Brooklyn and she was super helpful despite the distance. She also was flexible in meeting with us when we were in town. I especially enjoy enjoyed doing a tasting in her kitchen. Also, she was very responsive and reassuring when I had questions. Celeste (owner) was great at every stage of planning and on the wedding day. We started planning over a year out, and she communicated with me well all along the way. On the big day, she was very professional and punctual. She even helped repair our melting cake (from another vendor). The food was beyond excellent and just what we had hoped for. Everything was set up beautifully with just the look we wanted. The staff were all polite and provided excellent service.

Celeste and the crew at Mrs. J's were great for our June wedding! They were super convenient to our venue location, FrontPorch Farms. Celeste was great to work with - very responsive, flexible, and offered a variety of great choices and suggestions for us.

Since I was busy on our wedding day, I didn't have a chance to talk with the catering crew, but heard they were very professional and did a great job.

While we ended up changing our menu to not include it, Celeste's fried chicken is THE best we've ever had. So delicious!!

Mrs. J's made the aspect of catering easy for my wedding. She was easy to work with, always available to answer questions, and the food was marvelous. All the guests raved on the taste of the food and even went back for multiple servings! Highly recommend Mrs. J's and her staff to cater any event!

Mrs. J's catered a rehearsal party for my daughter's wedding, Celeste and her
crew were a delight to work with. The food was wonderful, many guests commented
that the banana pudding was even better than their mothers.
Celeste was flexible, accommodating and very professional. I would recommend her without reservation to anyone looking for southern style deliciousness.

LOVED Mrs. J's! She serves excellent catering at a fair cost, I would even venture to say she is more affordable than others. We used her at our wedding and she brought us our own plates of food immediately so we could skip the line (and get a head start before we were bombarded with guests)! She also displayed everything really well and did an excellent job overall. Not to mention she is super sweet! She was also very flexible and let us add items last minute. Would definitely recommend!!

Very sweet and easy to work with. The food was fabulous and all the guests at the wedding raved about how tasty everything was. The portions were very generous and she worked great with the venue and other vendors. She gave directions on how to freeze leftovers (which heated up great!!)

She also catered a brunch the following morning. Guests said it was one of the best breakfasts they had ever had.

If you are looking for a great caterer who can cook up some amazing southern dishes you can not get any better than Mrs. J!!!!

Mrs. J's is hands down the best catering option for weddings at Front Porch Farms! The two are literally across the street from each other, which was a huge comfort to us in case something went wrong or if we ran out of food - which happened - not for the wedding, but for the bridal party lunch earlier in the day. Celeste quickly sent over another tray of lunch without question, and she always seemed thrilled to see us when we came out for tastings. The food is fantastic - we wanted a down home Tennessee buffet and that's exactly what we got. Don't be afraid to serve fried chicken at a wedding - Celeste's is some of the best I've ever had (Celeste, if you're reading this, can I have your recipe?).

Celeste was absolutely wonderful to work with! I knew immediately that I wanted to hire her when we met her, and she made us feel so welcome at our tasting. Celeste worked with us to make sure our menu fit our event, and she was flexible and generous to us. She even helped me remember some things I had forgotten to think about, which showed me that she's really on our side. She's a marvelous cook, and the food was SO delicious. We've received several compliments on her food. Outside of the food, Celeste is a great person to work with and just to talk to. As soon as we met her, she treated us like we were longtime friends, but she was still highly professional through it all. It was truly a great value, and we couldn't be happier with our choice.

I knew right away I would chose Mrs.J's Catering for my wedding brunch. She is so friendly and attentive and had great suggestions for making my brunch delicious and tailored just for my special day. Delicious Food ", Mom from Columbus OHIO
Celeste, the owner of Mrs J's Baking and Catering did a wonderful job with the food for my daughters May 27 wedding at Front Porch Farms. We had a menu of fresh fruit and pepper jack pick me ups for the appetizers Both were the perfect combination on a hot pre summer day. The quality of the the fruit was evident in the delicious thirst quenching taste. The pepper jack pick me up's were a satisfying snack that held the guests over until dinner was served.
Dinner began with a summer spring salad with strawberries, candied pecans and feta cheese. The main dish was a tender pork loin with a peach compote, sweet potato and corn casseroles and cucumber/onion and tomato salad. Each dish was prepared to perfection, displayed well and taste wonderful. It was a true southern meal for a beautiful hilltop Tennessee wedding.
Prior to the event, Celeste was very involved and accommodating with our menu and offered suggestions that were appropriate for the event. The Bride and Groom had a food tasting and felt very welcomed at the home of Celeste and her family. My daughter said she felt like she had a second mom to help her plan since I live out of town and couldn't be there for pre wedding planning.
We had a crazy unplanned experience with 3 different wedding caked bakers backing out. Mrs. J's Bakers whipped up 4 huge, tasty cakes which our guests just loved. They were decorated with simple elegance and looked perfect for the style of reception we had.
The staff from Mrs. J's was friendly, experienced and accommodating. No complaints there. In fact, I can not say one thing about our experience with Mrs. J's baking Company that was not 100 % positive.
I would completely recommend Celeste and her Mrs. J's Baking to anyone with 100% guarantee that your experience will be as wonderful as ours. Well done Mrs. J's.

Celeste at Mrs J's is amazing! She was definitely my favorite person to work with out of all of my vendors. She worked within my budget, was always prompt and open to any of my ideas, and came through in a pinch when 2 companies that were supposed to make my cakes suddenly backed out!

The food was delicious and all of my family who had come in from Ohio were excited to eat some good old fashioned southern food. It couldnt have been any better! I want to get married again so I can eat more food!

We absolutely loved our caterers!! Our friends and family are still talking about how yummy it was! We wanted good southern food and that is exactly what we got! Celeste was an amazing caterer! She worked with me 100% to help me put together the perfect menu for my wedding. She listened to my ideas and she gave me professional advice on how to best take care of a large guest list in the summer heat. She worked with my budget and gave me the best value for my money. We were looking for someone affordable without sacraficing quality and Celeste went far beyond my expectations. She was on time and set up the buffet is such a beautiful way. Everyone was professional and she made me feel like a friend the way she took care of our event. The food was AMAZING and we had so many guests ask us later if she could make dinners for them. I was so grateful for such wonderful service and I would highly recommend her!

Best wedding vendor!

We had signed up with 2 other caterers and last minute cancelled. Ms. J came to the rescue! With a little over a month she got our menu ready and took care of all our needs! Her staff was incredibly sweet! The food was amazing and she went the extra mile to make little touches that made it special for us! I would highly recommend her to any and all couples getting married! She is my go to for any catering needs in the future!

Celeste and her staff were wonderful. The food was great, and the service was phenomenal. It was if they were invisible -- things just appeared and were refilled -- left behind plates and cups were whisked away. They were easy to work with and very professional.

Celeste with Mrs. J's Baking and Catering was very easy to work with and offered many options from which to choose, from menu selections and beverages to presentation. I defy any bride to find more value for the cost than Mrs. J's. We had a limited budget to feed 170 people. We were absolutely floored with what was included in our per person price, from appetizers, entree, beverages, condiments, set up, clean up, cake plating, tax, and more! The pulled pork bar-b-que is highly recommended--delicious! We had an outdoor venue, and despite a couple hours of rain, Mrs. J's served all of our guests; no one left hungry! Celeste at Mrs. J's did a wonderful job providing a delicious buffet for our wedding tailored to our desires. Despite it being a buffet for a wedding, the food retained that "home cooked" taste and we received many compliments on the food. Celeste also provides rental plates and service staff included with her food cost and does so in a way that is extremely affordable for the quality you receive.

Celeste was excellent to work with. We have a lot of food allergies in our family and she helped to create a menu that would work around them. She was available to answer questions and the day of the wedding she was at the venue in the morning to set-up and answer any questions we had. She was very helpful the day of during set-up and had extra stuff just in case. She also allowed us to pick up our silverware early so that we could wrap it how we wanted. Her food was delicious and our guests enjoyed.

Celeste orchestrated the perfect meal for our wedding. The menu was exactly what we wanted and Celeste's staff were very professional. I would recommend to anyone.

YIKES. Would not recommend.

I thought Celeste was a decent woman, but after reading her “adopted” child’s story about how he was treated by Celeste, I’m disgusted to even hear her name. Long story short, she adopted this boy just to get his brother. His brother turned out to be a drug addict while he got abused for 18 years. This boy suffers from ptsd, trauma, abuse from Celeste Morris. God bless this kid. I pray he gets your name out there Celeste. This is not okay as a mother. Shame on you.
