Perfect outdoor wedding spot in the mountains

You can’t beat the views of getting married on the summit of a mountain. The ceremony was perfect and the reception at the base of the mountain was perfect as well. The Mountain Club on Loon makes it so easy for you, with catering done there as well as including a cake in the wedding package. It really helped to take the stress of. It’s also nice having the hotel right there, guest didn’t have to worry about driving home after and a nights stay is included for the bride and groom. Overall we had a great experience getting married here! Highly recommend!!

Cannot say enough great things about Krista at the Mountain Club on Loon. She made our wedding dreams come true!! Everything was perfect and beautiful and our guests had a wonderful time. Working with Krista was amazing, she was professional and courteous and always responded swiftly and straight to the point. She had great suggestions and went above and beyond her job. This is a magical venue and the food was amazing . We had a BBQ style rehearsal dinner which was phenomenal, the wedding reception food was perfect. Location Location Location, who doesn't want to get married on the top of a mountain with breathtaking views and ride a gondola? Book this venue immediately, the packages are so worth every penny!!

    THE BEST!

We had our ceremony at the top of Loon, reception at the Loon Mountain Ski Resort, Octagon Lodge, and had a room block at the Mountain Club on Loon. It honestly could not have been better!!! Every one was super responsive and helpful, and wanted our day to be perfect. The food was to die for, everyone couldn't believe that the fish was so delicious so far from the ocean, but it was! We did the buffet option and it worked out perfectly. Everyone at Loon is really there to serve, and it turned out better than we could have expected. I know it sounds like I'm waxing poetic, but really, this place is AMAZING, our wedding was perfect and a lot of it had to do with the venue!!

I would very highly recommend this venue. Though the price was a bit higher then we could afford, we adjusted our invite list just so we could utilize the mountain top ceremony. The reception hall was gorgeous in a very modest way; I didn't want anything over-the-top glitzy like some hotel ballrooms. The cocktail room was stunning, comfortable, and accommodating for all of our guests. I had a wonderful experience working with Kellee- the event coordinator. she responded to every email with in a day or two, no matter how trivial the question. The food was delicious and displayed on the plates as if artwork. Our food choices were also very different and we felt able to give our guests different choices from the typical wedding dishes. The staff took care of our every need and we loved spending the weekend there. My one note to any more particular bride is to book the more expensive suite rooms as the standard options are set up for ski visitors and are not luxuriously comfortable.

The wedding party and out of town guests all stayed at this hotel for our wedding. It was perfect since we were having the ceremony/reception at Loon Mountain Resort and this hotel is in walking distance.

It is nice that they have different room options (suite, studio, king room), the suite was perfect for the girls to get ready in and the studio was perfect for the guys to get ready in!

The rates are rather expensive for younger guests and they have a two night minimum. It was perfect for family members who wanted to make it a weekend get away however there are cheaper hotels up the road that will let you book only one night.

The staff was helpful and very friendly and the rooms were clean! They have a buffet breakfast and a lunch/dinner spot inside the hotel. The pool was nice and clean and everyone enjoyed spending time poolside.

    Beautiful views of Loon Mountain.

We plan on going back again for our one year anniversary and spending the weekend!

This venue is awesome for a couple whose vision is of a natural wedding and an outdoor wedding ceremony, which is what we desired. We choose the mountain top ceremony and it was absolutely gorgeous. The grounds and rooms were well maintained. All in all our wedding and reception was a great hit that many people out a lot of hard work into. However, if you choose this site some suggestions: 1. Watch out for some of the ladies at the front desk- they were pretty bit*&y to some of our guests. 2. The Wedding Coordinator, Banquet Manager, and Group Sales Agent are very helpful and informative, but communicate poorly, so make sure you tell your ideas/concerns to many people.

First, to be clear- my wedding was done through the Mountain Club on Loon, not just Loon Mountain.
My first experience and part where I ran into “trouble” was that the flyer that was emailed to me stated that the ceremony fee for a mountain top ceremony was $750. I went to tour the venue and Krista let me know that the price had gone up to $1,000 for a mountaintop ceremony...okay, I just dealt with it. Next, she lets me know that it will also cost $10 per person to go up the gondola. That adds another $450 unexpectedly to my bill.
I felt like the cost quickly went up and up, leaving me feeling stressed before the wedding.
Fast forward to wedding day- my contract included day of hair and make up: 1. I called the Viaggio spa and tried to arrange my hair and makeup to be done through them, they told me their hairdresser left and they weren’t replacing her. 2. I emailed Krista and asked what my next steps were- she told me to find a hair dresser and they pay. She gave me NO guidelines as far as price or how to arrange this with her. 3. About 30 minutes BEFORE MY CEREMONY!!! Came up to my room and asked me to pay for the hair dresser and that I would be reimbursed!! I spent almost all of my money on that wedding, I barely had anything left. I scraped together the very last of my money and paid for the hairdresser. It took until Thursday the following week for the resort to credit my bank account. I have a big family, four kids, and not for nothing this wedding took a lot of budgeting so to be out $300 for almost a week was upsetting to say the least.
On a positive note the food was great, the resort staff was so accommodating to our big family and always extremely pleasant to be around.
Although there was one minor part I had wished didn’t happen the rest of the wedding was perfect.
