Michelle was super responsive and professional throughout the changing situation that led up to our micro wedding during a pandemic. She not only eased our concerns for transporting the cake, but it was absolutely delicious (as were the cupcakes and strawberries!) and looked gorgeous with the flowers from Red Lily Design. -

Beautiful cake and Flexible service!!
I had to cancel my original wedding plans due to COVID 19 and I needed a wedding cake last minute for my plan B elopement. Michelle responded right away and was able to make my cake with only a weeks notice. She was more than willing to accommodate and was extremely flexible with all my needs. The cake was gorgeous and service was exceptional!!! -

Ubé cake!!!!
We LOVED the dessert table at our wedding! Michelle did an amazing job with our 2-tier cake and variety of mini cupcakes and creme puffs! We had so many compliments, and our guests loved the dessert!
We had the best experience with Michelle! She actually created a cake flavor for us that wasn’t already on her website. My husband is Filipino and we both love Ubé cake! It’s a deep purple color that is made from ubé which is a purple yam. (Kind of like Taro). It’s richer than vanilla cake but not quite as rich as chocolate. She made it with a coconut buttercream frosting! It was heaven in your mouth! Even our family from the Philippines said how good it tasted, just like at “home”! It even made it onto Mountain Cakery’s website as a flavor option! You have to try it!
We did an aspen tree looking design on our wedding cake! It absolutely beautiful! We even got to enjoy some left over mini cupcakes the next day.
If you’re getting married in the Mammoth area, Michelle is the BEST! -

Michelle is amazing! She is so great to work with, and talented isn't a strong enough word for the edible art that she creates. I have never had a more delicious cake, and pairing it with the miniature cupcakes and pies was so much fun. The flavors were absolutely incredible, and everything was stunningly beautiful. Our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was. Thank you, Michelle, for making such a big part of our day so magical! -

Michelle was kind, responsive and so easy to work with! Her desserts were all amazing and she did a beautiful job arranging our dessert table. We ordered her cookies, pie bars, mini-cupcakes and our amazing blueberry, lavender wedding cake. I would absolutely recommend Michelle and her desserts for your wedding or special event! -

Best cake EVER!!!
I'm not sure I'll be able to wait a year to eat the top of our wedding cake, it was SOOOO good!! Michelle is amazing! We absolutely loved working with her for our wedding. We even ended up using Michelle for some desserts for our rehearsal dinner, too. Every flavor we tried during our tasting was mind blowing, and the outcome of our cake blew our minds. It was perfect. Thank you, Michelle!! -

Easy to work with, amazing cake
Michelle was very helpful through getting our cake! She has a specific timeline for when changes can be made and emailed us reminders which is helpful when you are getting close to the day! She also assisted us in changing the design so it would look the best. Our cake was delicious and beautiful. We had two tiers, one chocolate hazelnut and the other blackberry vanilla. They were both great and went over with all the guests! This was definitely a cake to remember. We have friends getting married at at different area of the state who are having trouble picking a cakery because they loved ours. Michelle had the cake there before we arrived at the reception and the rental process (for the wood round) was very easy. We just cleaned it and dropped it off the next day. She also leaves a box for any leftover pieces :) I also posted this review to yelp. -

Working with Mountian Cakery was a delight from start to finish. Not only was our cake DELICIOUS but it was equally BEAUTIFUL. We started our journey with a tasting with a few flavors we selected from a list. My fiancé and I instantly agreed on our favorite flavor and were also able to make selections from a large list for our dessert bar (for those who aren’t into cake). -

Perfect cake for our morning wedding in Yosemite
Michelle was absolutely fantastic to work with, and we (myself, my husband, and our guests) are still drooling / dreaming about our wedding cake and the delicious raspberry pie bars. We had an early sunrise wedding at Tenaya Lake, and Michelle worked with us to craft the most perfect breakfast inspired cake. It looked beautiful, and tasted absolutely exquisite. Not only that, but she was so accommodating and helpful in planning for our 6:30am event. Thank you so much, Michelle - James and I were so thrilled with the cake and working with you! We can't wait for an anniversary trip to the Mammoth / Yosemite area so we can order another cake and some treats to celebrate :) -

Michelle helped us choose the exact right amount for the number of guests--everyone got as much dessert as they wanted and we had a little leftover to enjoy the next morning. She also was able to provide a vegan and gluten-free option (chocolate covered strawberries), which people enjoyed as well. It was really easy to work with Michelle over email. -

Lara Sent on 09/24/2018As I was planning my Yosemite elopement, I knew it was important for me to have a wedding cake. My now husband and I both being vegan, we were seeking out a vegan cake and we encountered many roadblocks in our way - many vendors weren't accommodating to that or didn't even know what it means. Finally, I was lucky enough to find Michelle and Mountain Cakery! perhaps not the first choice for a Yosemite delivery, but Michelle was willing to deliver our cake all the way there making our elopement complete.
As the Yosemite fires broke out, she was also kind enough to check on our plans (luckily, none had to change!) and even offered a full refund including our deposit which I never expected. She also made a few changes to our cake past the allowed change time in the contract which I so appreciated.
The delivery was seamless and overall Mountain Cakery gave us a great experience. As for the cake itself, the unique offered flavors of lavender and blueberry were just as I imagined and the taste was as good as the beauty of the cake. -

Brita Sent on 08/14/2018My husband and I met Michelle at a wedding gala in Mammoth and loved her samples so much!! We knew we had to have her make the desserts for our wedding. We decided to have a small sweetheart cake that was a chocolate cake and mocha filling and it was soooo yummy!!!! We also had chocolate covered strawberries, raspberry pie bars, lemon puffs and mini red velvet cupcakes. Everything was so delicious and eaten by the end of the night. Michelle was so professional and easy to work with. We brought our own cake topper and left it at the venue for her to place into the cake...it looked amazing!! You can't go wrong choosing Mountain Cakery for your wedding day!

Melissa Sent on 10/31/2017Mountain Cakery came highly recommended by our wedding planner who had used them multiple times in the past. We met Michelle at out tasting and she was absolutely wonderful!!! We opted for a small cutting cake and an assortment of mini cupcakes for 220 guests. The presentation at our reception was perfect. Everything tasted so good that there was nothing left by the end of the evening. The price was also incredibly reasonable. Our experience with Mountain Cakery was so good, that we used them again for our sons 1st birthday.

Christy Sent on 11/02/2017We would like to thank Michelle at Mountain Cakery for such extraordinary desserts for my daughter's wedding October 21, 2017 down to every small detail of labeling each dessert the cake was so delicious it melted in your mouth and the amazing dessert bar. All of our guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious everything was which pleased me so much since I myself loved dessert so much. Michelle was such a joy to work with so easy and she always returned emails or my calls so prompt which I was very pleased. We would like to thank you again for making this wedding truly a beautiful event weddings can be very stressful but working and talking with Michelle I knew this would be taken care of and it was 100%! Your truly gifted so don't ever stop baking look forward for you doing something else for us in the near future...God Bless!

Our wedding was scheduled to happened on Thursday September 2nd ,2021 and on Tuesday August 30th, 2021 we got a called from our wedding coordinator explaining that our venue has to close due to the fires that they we’re happening on South Lake Tahoe and the state put a mandatory order that everything has to close so well me an my fiancé started to call our vendors and one of them was Michelle from Mountain Cakery I called her on Tuesday and she didn’t answer so I left a voicemail hours later she sent me an email saying that she was having dinner so that’s why she didn’t answer but that she would call me the next day , so on Wednesday she called and we start talking I explain to her everything and she really said too much my fiancé and I never asked for a refund we asked what would happen in these case cause it wasn’t our fault and she came out with some places that we can do our wedding but in that moment how we would supposed to pay another 15,000 dollars for a venue ? When at the moment the venue didn’t do any immediately refund , so on Wednesday I told her that my fiancé was CONSIDERING to go from Bay are to Mammoth lake to pick up the cake but that I WOULD LET HER KNOW!!! And if she can give me 10 minutes and I would call her back on those 10 minutes I spoke with my partner and he was willing to go but the road was close there was no way to go to pick out the cake so I called Michelle again and I told her that NO THAT WE WOULD NOT GOING TO PICK UP THE CAKE CAUSE EVERYTHING WAS CLOSE , she didn’t have any compassion for us we didn’t even offer the refund for delivery and set up fee not until my fiancé asked for it she said that she would give that to us we pay 1,300 for our cake and she just gave us back 150 , we understand that she works with a 2 weeks of notice before the event but she didn’t understand that our venue canceled our wedding in less than 48 hours , and she has the NERVE to say that we canceled our wedding 3 days before and that we said that we were going to pick up the cake and that she finished the order and the postréis and that she was waiting for us for hours what a LIAR AND UNPROFESSIONAL MICHELLE IS ! She also had the nerve to offer us a few organizations that she can donate the cake came on , she doesn’t care about her customer she just care about the money that you would give her and let’s be honest you didn’t pay 1,300 on materials to make our cake such a LIAR.
PEOPLE DONT DO BUSINESS WITH HER!
