We had originally planned an indoor wedding prior to the pandemic. After Philadelphia instilled regulations for indoor dining/events, we looked to Morris House Hotel for a dream outdoor wedding and they DID NOT disappoint! Allison was so responsive and helpful with every detail along the way, responding late at night and early in the morning! She had great recommendations, was so personable, and really was the highlight of our rushed-wedding-planning experience! The front desk staff was so accommodating to our guests, and even gave them all a tour of the historic buildings upon check in! The rooms are clean, quaint and I loved looking at how different they each were. The bridal suite made for beautiful photos on the balcony as well as a large gathering space for getting ready. The grounds themselves are breathtaking, I can't believe I didn't know this place existed in the city! We feel so lucky to have been able to celebrate our wedding day at Morris House Hotel!

Phenomenal customer service coupled with an outside venue that was perfect for my daughter's wedding. The Morris House Hotel is a hidden gem in historic Philadelphia. I would go back in a heartbeat. Alison was the main contact for us and she was first in class. I have never seen someone love their job so much and it truly reflected in the service she provided. We never left the property it offered such great backdrops for pictures. Erin and Andrew thoroughly enjoyed their special day . The Morris House Hotel's team along with Alison were so good everyone was able to relax and let the day flow.

My husband and I chose The Morris House Hotel as our wedding venue prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. We fell in love with the intimate courtyard and how the space could be flipped from a ceremony space to a reception space. COVID, unfortunately, decided to change our October 2020 wedding plans and our 120-person wedding quickly became a 48-person event. Planning during a pandemic did get a little hectic at times, but Alison G., the event coordinator for the hotel, was wonderful from Day 1. She was with us every step of the way and truly put her heart and soul into making our wedding day special. We had a wonderful wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at the hotel. It was also really nice having the majority of our guests stay on-site. We would highly recommend The Morris House Hotel if you’re looking for a beautiful, intimate, and unique wedding venue. We can’t wait to visit the hotel in the near future!

We had to plan our wedding in 6 weeks, as soon as I walked into the garden I knew it was our spot. Alison is wonderful and so easy to work with she made my day even more special and less stressful! The Morris House hotel is a gem within Center City, Philadelphia. COVID decided to change up our August wedding plans. Our 150 wedding quickly became a 30 person event. The Morris House Hotel was quick to accommodate and help us throw a beautiful outdoor wedding for just our family. Alison is the reason I stayed sane. Because of her my wedding day became the perfect day. I'm honestly think my 30 person wedding day was better than any 150 party- thanks to The Morris House Hotel.

Our experience with Morris House Hotel was amazing and they gave us an absolutely perfect wedding day that we will forever remember! Our story: We had been planning our wedding for over a year when COVID ruined our plans. It was the middle of July 2020 when we make the tough call that our large scale wedding in Oct. 2020 would not be able to happen. We were heartbroken, but wanted to find a way to still get married. After searching for places to have a small outside ceremony in Philadelphia, I came across Morris House Hotel on Facebook. I contacted the hotel via email and was very quickly responded to by Alison Goldberg. We were informed of the availability, one day of which was Aug. 1st—only about 2.5 weeks away. In those 2.5 weeks, Alison went above and beyond our expectations, and anything we could have hoped for, to ensure that our ceremony was perfect. We didn't know how we could pull it off in such short notice, but she made sure we did and was there for us every step of the way. It definitely felt as if it was always meant to be at Morris House! We had the most beautiful, intimate, short & sweet ceremony and cocktail hour with about 20 of our closest loved ones, and will save our big party/reception for next year. The entire day felt like a fairy tale and I wish we could relive it. We also highly recommend staying the weekend in the hotel's "Presidential Suite" (Room 103). Everything was so nice and so reasonably priced, and their tented garden area where we were married is so beautiful we didn't even need to decorate! I could keep going on—we are forever grateful to Morris House Hotel for giving us an indescribably perfect day and will definitely be back to visit!

Our daughter's wedding at the Morris House Hotel during the pandemic was flawless. Everything was so well taken care of, the setting outdoors was beautiful, and the people involved were helpful and supremely competent. Highly recommend for any occasion!

Morris House Hotel was 100% the perfect venue for our wedding, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to create a unique, memorable, comfortable, delicious, FUN, wedding, and to work with exceptional people throughout the process. Carly and Lenka were so organized, accommodating, insightful, and wonderful, and their service and the end result far exceeded all of my family's expectations. I highly recommend the Hotel, Carly, Lenka, and all staff. What a great decision and an incredible memory I will have forever!

Carly and Lenka were easy and fabulous to work with. The venue was absolutely beautiful, especially in May, as the lush garden and lights strung throughout made for a truly fairytale setting. We rented out the entire hotel and stayed the weekend, so it was like a private, mini destination wedding in the heart of our favorite (and home) city. We loved every minute and so did our guests. Thank you Morris House!!!

My wedding at the Morris House was even more amazing than I had hoped. Carly was so wonderful to work with from day one. All of our guests were as blown away with the venue and service as we were.

My daughter chose the Morris House Hotel for her intimate wedding Dec 26, 2017, held in the library. We were planning the wedding from South Carolina. The event planner, Carly Barron, is the best hands down. She and her staff went way above and beyond to make the day go off without any issues!! Hands down the best place for an event or just a weekend away!!!

We had our rehearsal dinner at the M Restaurant at the Morris House Hotel. It was absolutely perfect. The setting is stunning - a garden party right out of a pinterest board! And the food was delicious. It was an amazing way to kick off our wedding weekend with an intimate dinner party with our closest family and friends. I highly recommend!

The venue is absolutely gorgeous, a historic gem of a hotel right in the heart of Center City Philadelphia. The location was also extremely convenient for us and our guests. Jeanette and the rest of the staff were both personal and professional, helpful and flexible at every turn. The assistance with wedding planning and coordinating same-day logistics was also extraordinary and much-appreciated. The food was delicious and the decor so quaint and beautiful that we barely needed to supplement the space with flowers. The place felt like our home away from home for the happiest weekend of our lives, and we couldn't be more thrilled with the role the hotel played in helping us to create and enjoy the wedding of our dreams.

If there were higher ratings that I could leave for Jeanette and Morris House I would. There is NO other place we would have picked for our wedding. Everything was PERFECT. Jeanette made everything more easy than I could have ever thought. If you are thinking about booking Morris House for your wedding or party or anything at all, don't think twice. Just do it.

My husband's parents hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner at the M Restaurant at the Morris Hotel. It could not have been a more beautiful or delicious event. We had cocktail hour indoors at the bar then sat outside in a heated tent for dinner. The venue is like no other place in the city, the food and service were outstanding, and they let us stay for an extra hour. I didn't want to leave...even though I needed to get my rest for the wedding the next day!

Everyone there helped create an amazing wedding experience. The hotel staff was friendly and always available. The day of my event ran so smoothly. I enjoyed everything so much!

The Morris House Hotel was the perfect location for our small intimate elopement. The staff at the hotel couldn't have been more accommodating. The suites are well appointed and the courtyard was extremely romantic under the tent and lights. We were treated so kindly and truly enjoyed our special moment.

Simply stunning location in Center City Philadelphia, with impeccable service and top-quality food. Our guests couldn't stop raving over the Morris House, and neither could we!

The menu and the service on the evening of our wedding were top notch. The lead server was amazing.
However, the entire planning process was really miserable. The general manager was unresponsive to emails, impossible to get by phone and just straight up forgot what we told her or didn't listen. We had to repeat some of our choices 3 times via email because they weren't making it into the contract properly. Since this was the general manager, we had no one to escalate to. We are a pretty laid back couple, but after a while even my perennially patient fiance was frustrated. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Morris House.
