Fantastic party vibes!!

Mona & Andrew are soo wonderful to work with! Wedding planning and working with vendors can be stressful but the two of them were an absolute breeze; very friendly, warm and definitely know how to throw a party! The music was cool, fun, a great mix of modern hits with standards for older guests--Everyone had a blast! Mona & Andrew were also super flexible when we changed some of our songs at the last minute, even looping our processional song seamlessly when it took longer than expected for everyone to get down the aisle. They are both total pros--could not recommend them enough!

Andrew at Mon Amie gave us the dance floor of our dreams!

Andrew and Mon Amie are proof that you can get a DJ that 1) understands your niche music taste, 2) is kind, enthusiastic, and professional, 3) charges you a fair price with zero strings attached, and 4) delivers a dance party that guests will be talking about for a loooooong time.
From the initial get-to-know-you call to the deep dive logistical sessions that came later, Andrew was a dream to work with throughout our wedding planning process. Day-of, he arrived early to familiarize himself with the venue; provided flawless music for the welcome, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception; and overall brought the positive vibes and energy you need on your wedding day. We are forever grateful and could not recommend him and Mon Amie enough.

Mona was the best!

Worth every single penny! Mona was the absolute best! She understood what the crowd wanted! She was able to blend so many different genres and cultures in one day! Everyone that danced got a bit of what they wanted! Mona is the absolute best. I would hire her and her team for any and all event!

Incredible!

I booked Higher Love for my wedding DJs, and they were wonderful! From our first meeting, Jesse and Lila were so professional, organized, and very responsive. Right away I trusted that we could depend on them to do a great job. On the night of the wedding they were outstanding and made sure the night went smoothly. Most importantly, they played a great mix of classics and newer requests. I even loved the background music they played during dinner. We've since been getting so many compliments from our guests including that we had "the best wedding DJs" they've ever heard. Highly recommend!

Best DJs Ever!

DJ Amanda and DJ Mona are incredible. We were lucky enough to have Amanda for our welcome party and Mona for our wedding reception. Both DJs were incredible and provided the exact vibes we were looking for. Communication was so helpful throughout the whole process. We provided some playlists and must plays/do not plays and Amanda and Mona did amazing. We heard so many compliments on the music from both events. Highly recommend!

We were so fortunate to connect with Amanda, who perfectly suited my husband's eclectic music tastes as well as my own early 2000s nostalgia. Babes the DJ was incredible!

Best Wedding DJ!

We are so happy we chose Mona and Mon Amie Events for our wedding! From start to finish, Mona was professional, responsive, and really understood the vibe we wanted. It was such a joy to hear our favorites from the short playlist we provided alongside the amazing music she mixed in. It fit the night perfectly.

She also did an amazing job with all the announcements and transitions throughout the night. Everything felt smooth and seamless (and not too in-your-face) and the vibes were great for each part of the evening. We’ve had so many guests tell us how much fun they had dancing, and that’s thanks to Mona. I can’t recommend Mon Amie Events enough.

DJ Andrew = Incredible

DJ Andrew is incredibly talented, so wonderful to work with and really made our wedding day special. We can't recommend him enough. We interviewed quite a few DJ's and loved Andrews playlists and vibes. We were not sure how to go about picking music and Andrew guided us through the process easily. On wedding day Andrew knew exactly how to keep the energy going, the mic handoffs for speeches, and all announcements were perfect. We can't recommend hiring Andrew enough.

Olivia was outstanding!

We gave Olivia a lot of requests, both specific and general, and she went above and beyond to curate the perfect vibe for each part of the night! Our older and younger guests alike raved about Olivia's variety of genres, volume control, emceeing, and overall fun atmosphere. She was very responsive and easy to work with; we shared a spreadsheet with her categorizing our music cues for important moments and she nailed each one. Olivia even was able to mix in covers and remixes for us that are not on typical streaming services. We're so glad we chose her to be a special part of our wedding!

Awesome DJ, Patient and Kind throughout the whole process

Andrew was amazing to work with. We had a few very helpful calls - he was great to talk to, gave us a sense of what he tends to play, and answered our many questions. We felt comfortable sharing all of the tiny things that were important to us music-wise, and helping the whole flow of the event. Andrew was a friendly and calm presence at the wedding, while keeping the dance floor alive, playing great tunes, and being adaptable to delays - with our family's very long speeches. He also worked well transitioning the night to our live band, and was helpful from the set up, to the very end. We're so glad we got to work with Andrew / Mon Amie, and highly recommend them!!

DJing at its finest

Amanda was incredible every step of the way: from our first initial meeting she made sure that she understood the vibe for our wedding and knew exactly the playlist to make that vibe thrive. She walked us through the entire process and made the music one department that we never had to worry about. On the day, she was incredibly professional, rolling with time-changes, adjustments, and a full-fledged musical number like an absolute pro. When you're planning your perfect day, you want to make sure it's stocked not only with knowledgeable professionals but also people who are kind, generous, and more than happy to celebrate along with you. Amanda, we are so happy to say, was somehow all of those things and more.

DJ created an unforgettable night!

Amanda was such a wonderful part of our wedding experience. Throughout the planning process, she listened to our preferences and helped us envision what our reception could look like. With very little input she put together a fun and unique playlist based on our taste (60s and 70s soul and garage) and she completely delivered the party. Amanda got the entire guest list up and shaking it, something we could never have hoped for. Amanda even improvised when the reception ran later than expected. It was hours of great joy for both of us after a long and very busy day and we are forever grateful to her for that.

An Unforgettable Day

We loved having Amanda DJ our marriage celebration last October in Schoharie, NY. By providing a list of must-play songs to Amanda, she was able to fill our wedding playlist with music that fit the event perfectly and really delighted us. Her blend of classic dance tunes and clever songs was just perfect for the outdoor, daytime setting. We heard lots of cries of, “Yes, I love this song!” With her amiable personality Amanda also got along well with everyone at our wedding, and became a wonderful addition to the event.

Excellent Taste!

Amanda has a broad knowledge of rock music past and present (my dad was impressed), with reverence for jazz, R&B, and disco that all blended to make our ceremony nothing short of incredible. She worked closely with us to determine which song choices would fit at different stages of the evening; for instance, Mazzy Star during cocktail hour and Grace Jones for dancing. When the date came, it all sounded perfect and perfectly timed. Loved her vibe.

Andrew is an incredibly talented DJ and all-around lovely person—both of which are equally important when you’re planning one of the most stressful events of your life.

I was honestly a bit nervous to hire a DJ, but Andrew immediately put me at ease. It was clear that he was more interested in creating a solid playlist than hyping up the crowd, and that he would honor who we are as a couple rather than follow a pre-determined script.

Thankful for his amazing 6-hour playlist—which provided the perfect backdrop for our rather nontraditional wedding—and for his patience! Planning a wedding sans coordinator is no easy task, but vendors like Andrew at Mon Amie make it feel easy.

A Perfect Playlist

With two music lovers and a guest list that included a ton of music industry the expectations were very high for our music selections. Mona more than delivered taking our selections, adding in the perfect dance drops exactly when needed and keeping the party going flawlessly all night long.

Even before the party Mona gave us perfect vibes, helping with song selection for our big moments, giving much needed advice and helping us make sure that the soundtrack would feel quintessentially us. Could not recommend working with Mona and Mon Ami Events highly enough!

Mona absolutely killed it at our intimate wedding at the Wythe Hotel!! She was lovely to work with and I felt really confident that we were in good hands before the wedding. Kept the Vibe Alive

First, I must admit that I am a music snob and a control freak.

If I had my way, I would have been both DJ and groom. Fortunately, I received sound advice that that was not possible.

Luckier still, early in our wedding planning I found Mon Amie on a recommended vendor list. I listened to their wedding mixes and realized they completely aligned with my taste. No cheese, just great tunes that would keep our guests dancing.

We ended up working with DJ Android aka Andrew. From our first meeting, we could tell he was first and foremost a music lover with exquisite taste. The playlists he shared helped us land on songs for our processionals and first dance, in addition to music for the cocktail hour and reception.

When the day finally came, Andrew was a beacon of calm during the stress of a rainy, outdoor wedding. I wondered how he would corral that sprawling playlists I had shared with him into a coherent event, but he exceeded our expectations. To hear all of the songs that have special meaning in our life flow together with a sprinkling of his own choices and a judicious number of requests was amazing. Andrew always seemed to find my eyes when I looked his way and eagerly took any cues I offered. I could not be happier with is role in our wedding day.

Our guests (and Andrew) never stopped dancing until the end of the very last song.

If I ever had need for an event DJ again, I would immediately hit up Mon Amie and Andrew.

DJ Mona is incredible!

DJ Mona simply killed it at our wedding. Everyone commented how no one left the dance floor once it got started. Even my dad couldn't sit down! And that was because of Mona's excellent dance floor anthropology skills, choice tunes, and infectious energy. Multiple people told us it was so great to see Mona dancing the entire time and enjoying the music with us. One of our absolute favorite moments of the night was when Gasolina came on and everyone just lost it. Mona was so great and encouraging to work with, and she brought the vibe!

The perfect wedding dj!

DJ Mona was a fantastic DJ for our June 2023 wedding! She kept everybody dancing for the whole reception and afterparty, created impeccable vibes, was always dancing and was incredibly kind, flexible and focused on having our wishes met. A breath of fresh air!

Hiring Mon Amie Events for our wedding was one of the best decisions we could have made. Before the event, we met a handful of times to go over the vibe/atmosphere we were looking for, and put together some preliminary playlists; she has a vast and deep knowledge of music, and so she made the perfect additions/suggestions to the playlists we provided (and made sure we were thinking about the questions we didn't know we need to think about). And at the wedding itself, she had an impeccable sense of timing and momentum — every cue was hit perfectly, every transition was seamless, she made sure the dance floor literally did not stop for nearly three hours. All in all, you could not do better if you queried 10,000 DJs in 100 cities.

Amazing and So Fun!

This past October my partner and I worked with MonAmie Events, and Mona, with Jason AKA Babes as our DJ, for our wedding at Jack’s Barn in Oxford, NJ, and had SO MUCH FUN! The communication and planning leading up to our wedding day was easy and went off without a hitch. Day of we had absolutely no issues and Babes was so amazing as our emcee and DJ for the evening! Mona is the best! We were looking for a DJ who could take our vibe and run with it, and didn't want to just hand someone a playlist. After our first call, we knew that Mona was the right choice.

She's a pro with amazing taste! There were countless points over the course of our wedding where we'd look over at her to mouth "GREAT SONG" because her choices were so in line with what we had envisioned.

Mona was outstanding! From planning the event to execution.

Planning- she was extremely kind and knowledgeable as it pertained to our wedding reception and flow of events. She was thorough and professional about our prep meetings and she had great suggestions where we needed advice or direction.

Mona is simply the best in the business!

Great taste in music, great understanding of what makes a good party, great attitude.

From the moment we booked Mona, she was so easy to work with. We loved that she understood us and our music taste (which spanned everything from '70s disco to '80s new wave to '00s indie rock), but also knew how to apply that to a wedding party setting. She ultimately came up with a playlist that was PERFECT--you know it's a party when the bartenders are dancing from behind the bar.

She was also great at playing emcee that night--from toasts to giving after-party instructions, she made it easy for us and our guests to have fun.

It wouldn't have been a party without Mona, and we're so glad we were able to book her!

Mon Amie Events and DJ Jason Babes where 10/10

From start to finish Mona and Jason were so attentive and patient. Everything was explained and the process was simple.

Our reception was a magical night with a beautiful soundtrack provided by DJ Babes. My husband and I wanted formal, fabulous, and glitter — DJ Babes did not fail. The dance floor was packed with love and they controlled the energy of the room seamlessly. In addition to providing amazing music, DJ Babes was also an outstanding and charming MC.

Everything we could ask for in a DJ

DJ Mona was really, really great to work with. In the months preceding, she was actually the most responsive of all of our wedding vendors, responding to all emails within a day or so. She was very flexible as we got closer to the date, with things like floor layouts changing, adding battery-powered speakers at the last minute, etc..

As far as the music selection and actual DJ skills, we LOVED it - every single song brought people to the dance floor. She managed to cut songs in/out in ways that skipped any lulls in songs. She stuck to our general themes (new wave / dance-y pop through the decades) and blended our suggestions with lesser known tracks that still kept the energy up. She was on-point with things like announcements, first dances, etc.. Seriously we couldn't ask for more and I would encourage anyone to work with her.

Mona Created a Magical Evening

Mona was recommended to us by a friend who was also looking for a "not corny, classy vibes, fun DJ" and Mona definitely fit the bill. We clicked with her on our initial call, and in our prep call a few weeks before our big day she asked great questions that helped us imagine our special day, as well as helped her do her best job (ex. name pronunciations for speakers). We loved her musical selections and the vibe she helped create! At the end of the night the party was still going, and she was so flexible and let us extend by a half hour. Mona is the actual best

Mona was referred to us by friends who hired her to DJ their wedding.

She is super easy to work with: responsive when we asked questions & understanding when we asked silly questions. Mona sat down with us and really helped us plan out the flow or our entire day, and the vibe we wanted for each section. As an example - The music playing while guests are arriving should probably be a different vibe than the music playing during the reception dance party. Mona not only helped us figure out what those vibes should be, but she nailed the execution.

In my opinion, the best thing that I can say about Mona is this: multiple guests of our wedding have already asked me to get the playlist from her.

I can, with zero reservation, say: you should hire Mona. She rules.

Mona did an excellent job DJing for our wedding, and we’d enthusiastically recommend her to any couple. Her experience showed in the way she prompted us to think about whether and how she should help us guide our guests with announcements. She reminded us of things we hadn’t considered, for example whether we’d like to pick a memorable last song. She took our playlists and turned them into a wonderful evening of music we love, 80% of which we hadn’t told her we love, but she intuited better than any algorithm ever could. Zoom Wedding Dance Party

Mona was originally scheduled to DJ our dance party and was so gracious and professional about giving a refund. To me it really showed that she cared, when other vendors were giving us the run around. Mona was really personable and easy to work with and really understood our vision for the day. When we changed to a Zoom wedding we asked her to create a playlist of our first dance followed by some mashups and she did an amazing job. It was so much fun to dance with our friends in their little squares and it really brought up the energy of the event and ended up being a huge highlight. Wonderful DJ!!!

Mona is simply the best. We knew going into our wedding planning process that the music and dancing would be a really important part of the event for us. We wanted to work with someone responsive to our musical preferences who would understand our vision and help us execute. Mona was wonderful to work with. She seemed to pick up on our vibe right from the beginning. She listened to every song on our playlists for the wedding (even though they were way too long!) and created an amazing set that kept everyone feeling great during the cocktail hour and dinner and on the dance floor during the reception. She also helped us get organized in a way that we didn’t anticipate – we didn’t really know how to put the evening together at first and her planning helped us assemble an itinerary and think hard about all the different elements we wanted to include in our wedding. Then during the event itself, she was a calm, festive, and positive presence. Every time either of us wanted to check in with her about a transition or an announcement or even mid-first dance, she was always a step ahead of us. Our wedding felt very authentic to who we are and Mona was a big part of making that happen.

Packed dance floor! Perfect dj!

We feel so lucky to have found Mona- she absolutely ROCKED it as our effortlessly cool and insanely talented DJ. The songs and the vibe were on point from the cocktail hour through dinner and immediately into the dancing - each song was somehow better and more energizing than the last because Mona knew exactly which song to play when. Amazing experience!

We absolutely loved working with Mona, and can't recommend her highly enough. From our first email exchange and phone call, we knew that she "got" us and the vibe we were looking for. Most Excellent

Mona was fantastic! We live in NYC but had our wedding in Philadelphia. She’s NYC based but was willing to make the trip. When we met up with her we had a really good time just talking about music. She’s super knowledgeable and really nice. When we got to the wedding day she just destroyed the dance floor. I had friends tell me afterwards that they felt like they just couldn’t stop dancing. So many people have since told me and my wife (separately and unprompted) that the music at our wedding was super fun. It’s one of the things we’ve gotten the most compliments about. And that’s all down to Mona. She listened to us and our tastes, plus threw in plenty of things we wished we’d asked for! Basically, she nailed it. Also she’s super cool! I would hire her again in a second and would 100% recommend her.

Mona saved the day!

Mona was amazing- the day before our wedding, our venue emailed her to let her know that she needed to bring her own equipment (after assuring her that they had everything she needed). She was completely unflappable, and quickly made arrangements so that all the sound would run seamlessly. Mona is great at reading the crowd and choosing songs to bring down the house. Mona was the perfect DJ for our wedding! She immediately understood our particular tastes in music and was able to complement our very specific requests with equally great suggestions. Every interaction with her was professional, easy, and super enjoyable. We received so many compliments during the reception (from some legit music snobs) about how great the song selections and moments played out. We couldn't have asked for a better pro or better person to provide the soundtrack for our special day. We'd recommend Mona and Mon Amie events to anyone! -Y&J

Mona was a fantastic DJ! She's super nice and relaxed and cool - just the vibe I wanted for my wedding ... She is also responsible, organized, responsive - everything you want in a wedding vendor! She's got great taste. She made the whole process easy from start to finish. I highly recommend her!!!

We had a great experience booking Mona for our wedding. She was really responsive to the vibe we wanted for our dance floor, and we had a fun time picking out our playlist with her. Mona was easy-going, professional, and very clearly wanted us to have the kind of time we were looking for. We received tons of compliments at our wedding for the music and party atmosphere, and we definitely owe that to Mona (and some friends even decided to book her for their wedding after attending ours). We offer our highest recommendation!

Mona was incredible! Prior to our wedding she was very responsive to all our questions and offered great advice both over email and in person. Day of, she was prompt and was amazing at reading the crowd. Most of the guests danced until the end so for us that was a complete success!

Mona was a great choice for our June wedding. She was perfect for what we wanted -- a fun, relaxing night with great music and lots of dancing. We gave her a deep list of songs for various parts of the day, and her arrangement flowed perfectly with the vibe of the event. Everyone was on the floor all night, even chanting "One more song!" when it was over (she gave us two more!). No one wanted to leave. The day of, she executed everything perfectly. On the days leading up to our wedding, Mona was professional and sweet. We met with her in our neighborhood to discuss details and she quickly sent us her notes to make sure we were all on the same page before the big day. Everyone is still talking about and enjoying our playlist, which Mona was nice enough to share with us on Spotify. Thank you Mona -- we are so happy we found you!

Mona by far was our favorite vendor that we worked with for our wedding. My husband and I work in music and it was super important to us that the music played at our wedding was reflective of us. Mona worked with us to make sure every step of the party had the perfect sound. She was also super helpful in helping us figure out the timing of the evening. She suggested that we not begin dancing until after dinner and although i was super nervous about the idea, it turned out that she was of course 100% correct. All of our friends still talk about what a fantastic party it was and how much they enjoyed dancing and our music Selection!
Working with a vendor that you can truly trust and really enjoy dealing with is everything when planning an event like your wedding. I would recommend Mona in a heartbeat!

Mona was amazing! Every guest at our wedding was up and dancing all night and complemented the choice of songs. Mona really understood our style and taste based on a short playlist we shared with her. She picked out extra songs that gelled perfectly with our requests and the style of the venue and event. She also handled the multiple requests from guests perfectly to keep everyone happy. Mona made time to talk to us at length before the event to ensure everything ran smoothly on the day (despite a tricky 5 hour time difference and mismatched schedules). We would highly recommend booking Mona for your next event if you want an evening your guests won't forget. Thanks Mona, your are lovely and brilliant at what you do!

Mona is a true pro in every sense of the word. She's knowledgable, punctual, responsive, friendly -- everything you could want or need in a wedding DJ. I've spent most of my career as a music journalist, so I'd say the music at my wedding was easily the part I cared the most about. I provided Mona with a huge playlist for every portion of the wedding, and she went ahead and cherry-picked the best songs within that list, plus added a couple more with the same energy. Mona also knew how to MC the event itself (so neither I or my parents had to worry about directing the guests) and how to transition the songs so that nothing sounded too random placed together. But, not being a DJ myself, I had a lot of gaps to fill -- such as, I had no clue what I should pick for, like, the cake-cutting song or a closer. Mona was key in helping me understand what vibe to go for for each. But even if I wasn't as well-versed in the music world, I'd trust Mona to select every last song to fit my husband's and my vibe and preferences. No joke: After the wedding, I had guests of every age -- 24 to 84 -- telling me how much they loved the music. She's truly the BEST in the biz.

Mona is awesome and wonderful and has superb taste in music and will make your wedding the best dance party ever!!! She took our list of favorite songs and played them at just the right times, and threw in some surprises that fit right in with our tastes while also pleasing the crowd. Mona is exceedingly easy to work. She was flexible in scheduling and stayed in contact leading up to the wedding. She can cater a musical vibe to your exact specifications or, just as easily, build a vibe based on the themes of the wedding and the crowd in real time. She is super dynamic and can craft a musical landscape perfectly suited to your night. She was introduced to us by a friend who only works with the best and as such our expectations were very high from the start. Mona well surpassed them on every front. We received many compliments from wedding goers for the music and the vibe Mona created. We would absolutely recommend her to all.

I can't say enough complimentary things about Mona Dehghan! Not only was she a great DJ who honored all of our requests and really read the style of our wedding perfectly, she was lovely to work with and a true professional who helped to make our wedding planning experience as stress free as possible. Mona is the best wedding DJ I could have imagined. She's professional, meticulously organized, down-to-earth, and all around awesome. Right up to our wedding day she was on top of every little detail: from mics and equipment to speeches, announcements, and of course, the best song choices and suggestions in Brooklyn. On the day itself she delivered beyond what I could have imagined--every song was on-point, and pretty much every guest came up to me and marveled at how great the music was. Tons of people commented that she was the best wedding DJ they'd ever heard! I can't recommend her enough.

Mona was the DJ for our wedding this past Sunday and she was absolutely amazing. From our initial meeting months before the wedding when we had vague ideas of what we wanted but not many specifics right through to the last dance, Mona made our day extra special. She was great fun to work with and super responsive planning everything. During the day she was beyond perfect, setting up mics, announcing speeches, finding a reading that someone had forgotten to bring and even helped a sick relative get home at the end of the night! Our guests never left the dance floor and everyone commented that Mona was the best DJ they had ever heard (not just at a wedding but anywhere). The music was spot on, incorporating all of our requests and really getting the vibe right. We could not recommend Mona more!!

I loved working with Mona! When we first met 8 months before the wedding, I felt like I was meeting with an old friend for coffee -- that's how personable this gal is. She pays great attention to detail, is super responsive in emails, and really takes time to understand your preferences. She takes great notes and asks all the right questions, so by the time we got to the wedding itself, I felt like she had it all in hand and I didn't have to worry about a thing (and I was right!). Everyone had a blast dancing to our music and I owe it all to her. Hire her! :)

Mona was the first DJ that my husband and I met with, and we got a great vibe from her to begin with. We met with a few others before deciding, but I'm so glad we went with Mona.

Before the wedding, Mona was extremely responsive to emails and was nice enough to help us with planning the timeline. We had a cocktail style reception with no seated dinner, so she also helped us to schedule the toasts and first dances so as to keep the interruptions to a minimum so that the party could run smoothly. She also had great suggestions for ceremony music when we were completely drawing a blank.

My husband had a strong sense of the type of music for the reception, and Mona completely nailed it. Per our request, for the first two hours it was mostly neo soul and RnB. Mona played a lot of our favorites, and set the exact tone that we wanted. The dance party got started immediately after the toasts and first dances and didn't end until the venue kicked us out. She did an excellent job responding to the crowd and had all of or friends dancing, as well as my husband's aunts.

I really could not have been happier with the wedding reception turned out, and Mona set the tone for the whole evening. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Mona was a delight to work with! My wedding had 3 different audio setups in 3 different parts of a large estate in NY, and she pulled off everything effortlessly. From the very beginning of the process where my husband and I met with her to go over our ideas, she was incredibly professional, flexible, and just a really wonderful person to work with. She gets right back to you if you have any questions, she took our complicated direction and nailed it and was overall, such a great energy at our reception, and got the whole room on the dancefloor. I couldn't recommend her more highly!

Mona was an excellent DJ, who was flexible and responded to all of our requests. We were looking for a DJ that was not in the style of the cheesy hype-man, and she was perfect - laid-back, classy, while also still being comfortable making announcements throughout the night. I also had random Portuguese music requests from family which she accommodated without issue. Highly recommended.

Mona was one of the recommended vendors at the Wythe Hotel (where my husband and I had our wedding). However, we actually found her on WeddingWire and cannot express how grateful we were for her DJ service. Mona was helpful and easy to work with throughout our wedding planning. She gave us ideas with our song list and did an amazing job with the music, our guests loved her. Not to mention, she showed up early to setup and looked super stylish! Mona is the best! She is the absolute coolest and we LOVED working with her. She's insanely sweet and friendly and was incredibly responsive from Day One. She met up with us in Brooklyn a couple weeks before the wedding to go over everything, and her thoroughness and attention to detail made us feel so at ease and confident about everything. She has great taste and was so accommodating to our song choices, while at the same time taking to heart our request to do everything possible to make sure our wedding turned into a massive dance party. Which is exactly what happened! She and her awesome assistant had everyone out on the dance floor and we're still getting compliments about her and how fun our party was. We love you, Mona!!!

We love Mona! She completely exceeded our expectations. We did not realize how important a DJ is for the wedding. When she met with us initially, she did a "walk through" of the wedding, and was very detailed. She asked lots of questions and was very thorough. She listened to what we wanted and could not have been nicer or more professional. Mona is cool, she has good taste in music and that's what you want! The whole package. I cannot recommend her enough!

Mona was absolutely amazing!! So easy to work with, helped us to co-ordinate all of our ideas, and guide us through everything in advance so that the evening went off seamlessly -- even fielding all of our guests' very drunken song requests come the end of the evening. Oops, open bars. We got so many compliments, and have been recommending her to *everyone* we know.

I cannot rave enough about how amazing Mona was. My partner and I had an "atypical" wedding. It's hard to describe what it was but it was really casual, and it wasn't Indian or Jewish but was also Indian and Jewish. There was also a live band, and two different live musical performances.

From the beginning - Mona got it. She first spoke on the phone with us and then met us in person. Although she was "just providing music" she worked with our MANY live music acts to ensure that the sound was good, she offered to run mics around during our ceremony without us even asking her and she played music throughout the wedding from pre-ceremony, to during our super casual unseated dinner, to dancing.

She managed to incorporate our musical tastes from the 70s, 80s, 50s, some current stuff, with some Indian music requested by my family (some that we sent her in advance and I think she managed to find random Indian requests on the fly as well?), along with requests from my 9 year old nephew. She never made me feel at all bad about my requests to include TLC and Tiffany (I think we're alone now, of course) to Harry Belafonte. Also, I have heard of DJs in the past who say things like "well nobody will dance to that" or "you HAVE to include a,b,c or else nobody will dance" and she never questioned anything.

We actually had people ask us for the playlist at the end of the night.

When my 9 year old nephew decided he was going to do a speech, I introduced him to Mona and she ensured that he had a mic and felt confident on stage.

And both her and her assistant Katie were also just so warm, friendly, happy, and added to the overall atmosphere of a calm and casual event like we wanted. They were all smiles every time we saw them.

My final comment is that she was so great that we look forward to seeing her DJ at clubs in Brooklyn :)

Mona was very fun and easy to work with. She didn't just provide music, she also helped me figure out the timing of everything and made suggestions about how to run the different parts of the ceremony and reception (super, super helpful). She both honored every specific request I had and was fully comfortable filling in the blanks when I didn't have a particular opinion on something. (When you're planning a wedding, people are constantly throwing a million questions at you, so it was actually a huge relief to have someone say, "No problem, I've got this.") There were a number of songs that are important to my family that I had failed to put on the list of requests I gave her, and I only remembered them when I heard them at the reception – Mona must have just inferred them from everything else I requested, she was just so tuned into the vibe I was going for. (That was awesome - my Dad would have been sad if we skipped his favorite Backstreet Boys song, ha!) It really felt like we were getting a customized experience, even though I had been very laissez-faire in my instructions to her. She was able to go with the flow of whatever was happening, suggesting last minute changes that were needed in a relaxed way, and getting my input on things without stressing me out with lots of questions. She's clearly comfortable with all sorts of professional DJ duties – announcing people and so on – but also didn't bat an eyelash if I wanted to do without them. My whole family thought she did a fantastic job and we would definitely recommend her to anyone!
