Our favorite spot

As we just passed our one year anniversary, I wanted to be sure to review our vendors, especially Molly's. From the moment we got engaged, we knew we were going to order desserts from Molly's, having been many year fans of their cupcakes. Working with Molly's was so easy, from scheduling our tasting, choosing our options, and delivery, we never had any concerns. The team was responsive, helped match our wedding colors for our cake decor, and ultimately our guests LOVED the dessert bar we chose thanks to all the wonderful options Molly provides. I encourage every couple to consider Molly's for their event, you will be so pleased with the whole process!

Perfect for our small wedding!

Mollys cupcakes has been a huge part of our relationship (our first year together was celebrated with custom cupcakes) so it was an obvious choice to have Mollys make our wedding cake!

Even though we knew our flavors they hosted a fun cake tasting where they laid out all the options for us, helped us choose a size and style and we knew we would be extremely satisfied. We actually ended up choosing something new in addition to what we knew we wanted.

Since it was a small wedding we did not have a planner or anyone that could coordinate the drop off so Mollys worked with the restaurant where we hosted our reception lunch and made the delivery seemless.

Cake was perfect! Beautiful, delicious and really reasonably priced.

Amazing Cake and Cupcakes for Our Wedding

We used Molly's Cupcakes for our wedding cake and cupcakes in 2024. My husband and I lived near them and had their cupcakes before and didn't even consider anything else. The process for using them for our wedding was an absolute breeze. The cupcakes were a huge hit for our guests and the cake was delicious. I would definitely recommend Molly's Cupcakes.

Wedding review

Molly’s was the ideal vendor for our wedding. From the initial communication around the cake tasting, to making sure we had exactly what was needed for our special day, we couldn’t imagine picking another bakery for our dessert needs. We received great feedback from guests about the variety of cupcakes we ordered and the tiered cake was perfect! Molly’s Forever

Late review here, but we had our wedding cake made by Molly’s for our wedding on 9/16/23! It only made sense for us to have Molly’s as our first and only thought of an option to do our cake because Molly’s actually holds a very memorable place in our hearts since we’ve been getting Molly’s cupcakes since our college days when we first met!—& pretty sure we’ve tried every flavor from them and have never had one we disliked, so we knew a cake would be a hit with our guests!

The communication and process to get the cake we wanted was so quick, easy, and flawless as we worked with Yaritza! We got a 3 tiered cake, along with 2 extra half sheets, with flavors in our favorites (peach purée filling with vanilla cake for the bottom and top tiers, chocolate buttercream filling with vanilla cake for the middle tier) all covered in white buttercream frosting with a simple border because we wanted it to be decked out with fresh florals from our florist! Delivery of the cake was also so easy to set up and coordinate with our venue coordinator! & costs were well within our budget!

We wanted to make sure we had a wedding cake that we wanted to enjoy and for our guests to enjoy, & Molly’s certainly fulfilled that! We got so many compliments on the cake on how delicious it was and how it’s not often wedding cake is actually THAT good—we even had guests ask if they can take home extra slices! Even to this day, we have guests who still remember the cake! Overall, we would choose Molly’s to do our cake over and over again if we could! But at least now for every anniversary, we can always get cupcakes from them to always remember our wedding day! Thank you, Molly’s for being a part of our special day!

Wedding Cake

My husband and I got married in September of last year and we couldn't be happier with our decision to go with Molly's Cupcake.

The cake tasting process was amazing, fun, and delicious. There are tons of flavors to try from. We ultimately went for a vanilla cake with peach puree filling and a chocolate cake with raspberry filling for our three tiered cake.

Communicating with the coordinator was easy and efficient. Molly's Cupcake delivered the cake carefully to the venue in a timely manner.

Highly recommend!!

We ordered our wedding cake (one 3 tiered cake + one half sheet cake) from Molly's Cupcakes and couldn't be happier with the experience! The pricing for the cake was very fair and Yaritza was great to work with throughout the entire process. The cake was excellent and enjoyed by all the guests!

So delicious!

As soon as we got engaged, I knew that I wanted Molly's to be a part of our special day. Not only are they my favorite cupcakes in Chicago, but they are also one of the very first dates my now husband and I went on. From the minute we reached out, Yaritza was na absolute dream to work with. Courteous and responsive, she answered all of my questions about quantities, flavors and dietary restrictions with ease and grace. Our tasting was wonderful and Yaritza asked great questions about our catering setup and menu, so that we made choices that paired will with our overall menu and so that the frosting wouldn't melt in the unrefrigerated ballroom. When I sent a last minute panicked email about a guest's nut allergy she responded almost immediately to assuage my anxiety. They did all of the setup, and the dessert table looked beautiful. We opted for mini-cupcakes because we wanted our wedding guests to be able to try multiple combinations of cake and frosting. I'm so happy that we went this route! Even now, several weeks after our wedding, guests are STILL complimenting us about how good the cupcakes were. They were such a hit that there was not a single cupcake left at the end of the night. If you're looking for a fun, delicious dessert choice I'd highly recommend going with Molly's!

The best there is!

I used Molly's cupcakes for my wedding cake this year and I cannot say enough good things about them! From the beginning of the process, Yaritza made the process so enjoyable and stress-free! She hosted us for a tasting and we had an incredible time talking with her as we asked about our vision for the day to help us pick the perfect size and flavors for our dream cake. We ordered sheet cake on the side for additional servings and it was so gorgeous you really could not tell it was sheet cake. It was truly a dream!

Her team was above and beyond gracious and professional working with my wedding planner and venue to nail down the logistics and delivery for the day. We had my florist add matching flowers to the cake and Mollys Cupcakes was more than accommodating! Truly the cake was gorgeous and their customer service and attention to detail was so appreciated on our big day.

Finally, the cake was DELICIOUS! Everyone at the wedding was complimenting how delicious it was and how gorgeous it looked. I couldn't be happier with our decision to work with Molly's cupcakes and I HIGHLY recommend them to any bride looking for a stress-free, reliable and delicious cake choice!

Amazing cupcakes and cakes

Molly’s has been my go to cupcake place for years, so I went there first when considering cake for my wedding. They did not disappoint. Their wedding coordinator, Yaritza, was so knowledgeable and easy to work with! She even made sure we had a single gluten free cupcake for one of our guests! The cake tasting was super fun and the cupcakes and cake day of were perfection! I highly recommend working with Molly’s for your wedding or next event!

Amazing Cupcakes!

Mollys had the best cupcakes and our guests loved them so much!! We ordered more than we planned to and even with our guest count going down we didn’t even have a full dozen left at the end of the night! Our wedding cake was also made by Mollys and was amazing!!!

Everything was perfect! :)

Words cannot express how much I love Molly's Cupcakes!! I had them cater my wedding and literally everything came out perfect! The communication with staff over the cake designs we wonderful and everyone was seriously so kind. We had a variety of cupcakes and a two tier cake. Everything was delicious and our guests couldn't stop raving about them even weeks after the wedding! Thank you so much for helping to make our special day even more perfect than I could have imagined! :)

Delicious wedding dessert

Everybody raved about our cupcakes for our wedding day from Molly’s cupcakes. We had a small cake for us to cut (which was delicious) but more importantly Molly’s setup and delivery of all of our cupcakes was timely and our guests had nothing but positive things to say.

Smooth ordering and delicious cake!

My husband and I were so happy with our wedding cake from Molly's! We have been longtime customers of the bakery and were so excited when we learned that they do wedding cakes. The ordering process was so smooth, from scheduling the cake tastings to day-of delivery. We didn't have to worry about anything along the way. The quality of the cake was fantastic, as we knew to expect from Molly's. We ended up choosing 3 different flavors because they were all so delicious and we were able to order a sheet cake as well to accomodate all our guests. I know we'll be ordering from Molly's Cupcakes for future celebrations as well!

Highly Recommend!

Our planning process started when we found out that our dream wedding venue would be closing, forcing us to move up our wedding date by nine months. This essentially gave us only 90 days to plan our wedding. When we reached out to Molly’s Cupcakes event team, Kristine was quick to respond. She was so pleasant to work with along with being patient and knowledgeable in answering my many questions. Kristine accommodated my request to add a second tasting at a minimal cost so that my mom and sister could join me and my husband. At the tasting, all staff were prompt and excited to share their product - already being a fan of Molly’s Cupcakes, we weren’t suprised at how delicious everything was. We ultimately decided to go with the 9 inch, 5 layer Creme Brûlée cake, with a semi-naked finish in addition to 125 Creme Brûlée cupcakes. Additionally, Molly’s had vegan and flourless options available which we were able to make single purchases of so all our guests with dietary restrictions could enjoy.

Kristine kept in constant contact in the weeks leading up to our wedding. We connected her with our wedding venue coordinator and both parties assured us that we would not have to worry about anything - delivery by Molly’s (worth the small charge!) and cold storage provided by the venue was seamless.

We received so many compliments that evening and people kept coming back for seconds...and thirds! Our wedding cake was everything we had hoped for and more, perfectly moist, not overwhelmingly sweet, and beautifully made! Almost a year later we still have guests talking about these cupcakes and reminiscing about how delicious they were!

Working with Molly’s was one of the easiest decisions we made and we highly recommend them!

Delicious cake, easy to work with, fairly priced

We got a Molly's cake for our wedding (ended up doing one large tiered cake with a few half sheets). From the tasting to the wedding day delivery, their team was professional and easy to work with (one less thing to worry about, am I right?).

I had several wedding guests come up to me or tell me later that the cake was amazing. We were going to save the top layer for our anniversary but my husband dipped into it the day after our wedding. Too good to save.

Such Great Cake

My wife and I had been big fans of Molly's for years and were so excited to learn they did full-size cakes for events. The cakes were delicious and affordable, so what more can you ask!? The preliminary tasting was so fun and relaxed that we ended up picking 3 different custom flavor combinations for our 150 guests -- 1 tiered cake for cutting and 2 sheet cakes. Communication was smooth and delivery had no problems out to our farm venue in the Chicago suburbs. So great!

Wedding cupcakes from Molly's were a treat!

Molly’s Cupcakes catered our wedding in May 2019. We decided we didn’t want to do a traditional wedding cake and thought miniature cupcakes would make a good dessert option. Molly’s did a fantastic job and were great to work with! We had a wonderful tasting session with Kristine at their Lincoln Park location; she guided us through cake and frosting flavor combinations and helped us design our cupcake menu. The mini cupcakes were a huge hit at the wedding, and nobody seemed to miss the wedding cake! We would highly recommend Molly’s for any prospective couple looking for a uniquely sweet twist on their wedding.

Seamless and Fun

We used Molly's Cupcakes for our wedding cake and to have cupcakes for our sweets table. Kristine was great with communicating and made the process from tasting to ordering seamless. They were flexible even when we wanted to make changes to the order. For our cake we chose for the 9 inch creme brulee and requested it be a naked cake. Not only did it look beautiful but guests kept asking me about it weeks after and admitted they may have overindulged at the sweets table as there wasn't a bite left within the first hour of it being served. I would use Molly's again and will find an excuse to have that cake made any chance I'd get.

The best!!

We are so glad that we chose Molly's Cupcakes for our January 2019 wedding! All of our guests raved about the cupcakes and how much they loved them, one person even said to me afterwards that they wished they had grabbed another cupcake to go on their way out! Thankfully we were able to snag a few extras to take home with us :) Our wedding cake was so beautiful, and just as delicious! And they even helped me create the most special Groom's cake to surprise my husband with!

It was so wonderful working with Kristine, she made everything so seamless and easy for us. The whole team and experience with Molly's was amazing!

Delicious Wedding Cake

When we got engaged I knew I wanted to have Molly’s at our wedding as early on in our relationship we went on one of our first dates for cupcakes there! The tasting was one of our favorite parts of wedding planning as they make it really fun. Although they may be known for their cupcakes we ordered a 3-tiered cake and sheet cake for our ~130 person wedding and couldn’t have been happier with the result. The white chocolate raspberry cake was to die for and we received so many compliments! Someone came up to me and told me they were on their fourth piece...thanks, Molly’s!

Molly's has delicious cupcakes at surprisingly great prices! The wedding coordinator, Kristine, was very knowledgeable and responsive to my emails throughout my wedding planning process. The delivery driver was punctual and understanding. The directions to get to the venue were kind of confusing for some vendors, but he didn't have a problem finding it at all!

We are longtime Molly's fans and ordered some mini and mega cupcakes for our wedding. From the initial tasting to the pick-up day, Kristine was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was very organized, happy to answer all of our questions and made the entire process a breeze. The cupcakes at Molly's are out of this world delicious! Our guests LOVED them and there wasn't a single sprinkle left. We liked having the mini-sized option so that guests could walk around and mingle without having to sit down and use a fork. We have always loved introducing people to Molly's, and figured having it at our wedding would be fitting.

Kristine was responsive, knowledgeable, and flexible when it came to our order. She answered e-mails promptly, and since we were unable to come in for the tasting (I work weekends), she arranged a to-go tasting box. We decided on center-filled Cookies-n-Cream and Creme Brûlée cupcakes, and a custom 6" red velvet cake with Oreo mousse in between the layers (a suggestion that I'm grateful Kristine made...it tasted so good!)

The cake and cupcakes were delivered in impeccable condition, and looked delightful and delicious arranged on platters and an acrylic cake tier. Guests raved about the cupcakes (for reference we ordered 114 cupcakes for 95 guests and only had a few left over).

Thanks Molly's for making our wedding cake and dessert tasty and memorable! Now I have an excuse to go to Molly's for our wedding anniversary!

When it was time to start planning our wedding, Molly's Cupcakes was the one and only place on our list where my husband and I wanted to get our wedding cake from. We have been going to Molly's since it opened many moons ago. The wedding and events coordinator, Kristine, was fantastic to work with. She was very quick to respond to all of our inquiries. Cake tasting is probably the best part of wedding planning, especially when you and your betrothed get to sit on swings and taste a variety of cake flavors and frosting that you've picked beforehand. We went with a 3-tiered cake plus a sheet cake of the classic red velvet for 100 people (and one vegan cupcake for myself!). Everyone at our wedding raved about the cake and ate every last crumb. We are so thankful to have a place that is so near and dear to us be part of our special day!

We picked Molly's Cupcakes for our wedding because they are my favorite bakery in the city! I had a really great experience with them throughout the entire process. The tasting was fun and the ordering, payments, and delivery was very easy. We ordered a 9" cake with assorted flavors of cupcakes and mini-cupcakes. Everyone loved the desserts so much that my husband and I barely got to eat any ourselves. There wasn't even anything left at the end of the night to take home!

We absolutely love Molly's!! The minis allowed us to offer 7 different flavors to our guests and everyone RAVED about how good they all were. We even ordered a bit than we thought we would need, but our guests still ate all of them! It was super easy to set up a tasting with them and Kristine could not have been easier to work with. If you want cupcakes for your wedding, you'd be crazy to not go with Molly's!

We loved our wedding cake from Molly's Cupcake. Kristine was wonderful to work with, and the tasting was so much fun. We loved being able to turn any of their cupcakes into a beautiful wedding cake. We made a few modifications (i.e., white frosting instead of blue!), and everything looked perfect on our wedding day. Molly's was also one of the best-priced options that we came across. 100% recommend them!

Creme Brûlée cutting cake!
so we ordered a cutting cake and about 400 of our very favorite mini cupcakes.

The tasting was amazing. We opted for the small additional charge to have them delivered. Worth every penny! Our guests could not stop raving about the cupcakes and the delicious cutting cake.

The options are endless and the customer service was above and beyond!
Our wedding was on 5/27/18 and I was worried about the weather with it being almost 98 degrees. Cupcakes lasted great everything was phenomenal!

Molly’s Cupcakes. Oh. My. Gosh. So incredibly delicious!
My husband and I had been dreaming about these cupcakes since we had a tasting several months ago. They provided an assortment of cupcakes for our wedding, as well as a small wedding cake for us to cut into. I made sure to tell everyone at the reception to save room for these unbelievable cupcakes. My one regret is not ordering more! I was able to glance at the cupcake assortment when it was brought out, and once we cut our little wedding cake I looked back to see how many cupcakes were left, and they were all gone! These are the best cupcakes I’ve ever had, and obviously everyone else loved them too!

I could not have imagined a better vendor for our wedding day! My husband and I had a blast tasting, our coordinator was friendly and accommodating; we live out of state and she was happy to work with us over the phone. I had a unique cake combo and Molly's ran literal tests to see what would look best for my day. They are my favorite bakery in Chicago, and now possibly the world!

When my husband and I decided to have cupcakes in iieu of a cake at our wedding, we knew Molly's Cupcakes was the obvious choice. We were huge fans before we decided on using them as our "cake vendor". Kristine was our contact in setting up the cake tasting and throughout the entire process. She was always very prompt, professional, and patient with us. We had 70 guests so with Kristine's advice we ordered one mega cupcake for my husband and I to share and then a mix of standard-sized and mini cupcakes for our guests. It was the perfect amount and everyone LOVED them. They have vegan options for vanilla and chocolate cupcakes/frosting, too, which are just as delicious.

Molly's Cupcakes delivers for a reasonable fee. They offer set up for a small fee, but we passed on that service since we had a day of coordinator and caterer there to help with set up. You will also need to purchase a cupcake tier, but they're pretty affordable. Kristine was able to give us recommendations on where to order them.

Both my husband and I were SO happy with the service and quality of Molly's Cupcakes. They are top-notch.

Love Molly's cupcakes. They were my favorite when I lived in NYC and I was delighted to find out their original location was in Chicago, which meant we could get their cupcakes for our wedding. Since we were outside of the city, they did not offer setup, but they delivered the cupcakes for a reasonable fee and our caterer set them up for us. They are SO delicious. My favorite is the creme brûlée, and the guests were raving about it as well.

Molly's Cupcakes is absolutely amazing! They catered our wedding with cupcakes and a main cake and they were all a hit! Our guests loved them and we could not have been more pleased! Working with Molly's cupcakes for our wedding was one of the easiest tasks we had to do! You should go with Molly's if 1) you love cupcakes, 2) you don't want to break the bank for your wedding cake, 3) you want to work with some of the most experienced bakers in town!

Everything went so smoothly. We met Kristine, the wedding coordinator, at our tasting. She was super helpful and answered our emails very promptly. Through the entire process, it was evident that she is also super organized and experienced! For our wedding, we ordered 72 cupcakes and one 6 inch cake. We had about 6 different flavors for the cupcakes. Kristine was very accommodating and let us mix and match everything. I envisioned the 6 inch cake to be a certain way and Kristine was very flexible and modeled the cake exactly like the Pinterest picture I sent at no extra cost! You also have the option to design everything on your own, but we love Molly's original designs so much that it fit well into our wedding!

Getting Molly's cupcakes for our wedding was a no-brainer!! It was very reasonably priced and the delivery fee was not as ridiculous as other bakeries. Our guests also loved that they can pick amongst so many flavors!

We chose Molly's for our November wedding of about 140-150 people because of how much I already loved their cupcakes and because a portion of their profits go to local schools. We ordered mostly cupcakes, as well as a small 6" cake. From the initial tasting (which was adorable and left us with an almost painful sugar high) to the week after the wedding (in which I basically ate the entire 6" cake), Molly's was great. Kristine accommodated my menu adjustments quickly and easily, including a few individual cupcake flavors and vegan needs for a couple special attendees. They even made a specific out-of-rotation flavor that I wanted. And the guests LOVED them. Lately at weddings I've seen so many "dessert tables" with tiny sweets, that are decidedly not cake, go barely touched. Not with these cupcakes, I should have ordered more. I ordered eight flavors total, and at one point we had a guest leave the dessert table with two FULL plates, one of each flavor. I'm hoping she shared but there's no guarantee. You will have to provide your own display set up, as Molly's does not have display rentals, but typically your caterer will be able to provide options for you there, so it's not that big of an issue. I'd highly recommend Molly's, just make sure you get your caterer to grab you one or two so that you get to enjoy them at your reception as much as your guests.

We have always loved Molly's so it was a natural fit to order cupcakes and a cutting cake for our wedding! We worked with Kristine from the start and she was super sweet and responsive during the process.

Our tasting on Clark was so fun as we sat in the swings and selected the flavors we wanted to use on our wedding day. From there we set the contract and the day of delivery was seamless.

The cupcakes and cake were SO good and the guests all raved about them. I even found a small box leftover at J Parker next door after the reception...one of my friends would not let those go to waste and brought them for late night snacks :)

The cupcakes were a great fit for our event space, A New Leaf in Chicago. If you are looking for a delicious dessert where guests can grab them and continue socializing, Molly's is your place! Highly recommended!

Molly's Cupcake is my go to when I crave for sweets! So it was a no brainer that we chose to have them cater for our wedding! From start to finish everything was quick, easy and painless They were upfront about the costs and were responsive, which we absolutely appreciated! We ordered 140 or so cupcakes and a 9 inch creme brulee cake ( MY FAVORITE) and that was perfect for our 150 guests at the wedding with only 3 extra! We received so many compliments on the cupcakes and loved how each guest can pick and choose from an assortment of flavors!

We used Molly's Cupcakes for our November 2017 wedding. The groom (as well as many of the guests) had dietary restrictions, and Molly's was able to accommodate them without any problems. We were able to do a tasting with them and ended up deciding on several different flavors of cupcakes, allowing everyone at the wedding to be able to have something that they would love. They have both vegan and gluten free options. They were very flexible in letting us change our order (both in quantity and flavors) as we neared the wedding date, and worked with us to schedule the delivery that worked with the venue's timeline. Mostly importantly, everybody LOVED the cupcakes. Every single flavor was a hit with our guests. We would highly recommend them!

We used Molly's for our 9" cutting cake. We love their Chocolate Ganache filled cupcakes and they were able to turn that into a cake! At first they weren't going to be able to add the ganache because we wanted white frosting on the exterior - but that's the best part! After speaking to the head chef, Molly's found a way to incorporate the ganache for us! The cake turned out beautifully and was absolutely delicious! It was such a great experience working with Molly's!

delicious and beautiful cake creations! Molly's made a custom 2-tier cake for our wedding and it was gorgeous! I sent them an image I found online and they created an identical cake. We knew we were going to use Molly's Cupcakes for our September 2017 wedding as they are our favorite neighborhood bakery and we visit them often. I did get pricing from other bakeries and Molly's was by far the best product for price. They were super easy to work with - setting up our cake tasting, letting us change our design idea and our order more than once, etc. They connected with our venue coordinator to make sure delivery and set-up was smooth and we had no issues. Guests loved having a choice of "fun" flavors. Wouldn't hesitate to use Molly's again for any kind of event.

We recently used Molly's Cupcakes as the primary dessert at our wedding, and couldn't be happier with how everything went.

My now-husband and I wanted to do a cupcake tower with multiple flavors of cupcakes and a small round cake to accommodate a cute cake topper (more my desire than his). We did tastings as several bakeries in Chicago, and Molly's was a clear winner. Not only are their cupcakes delicious and their variety of options plentiful, they were also super accommodating of any changes we wanted to make. For example, I wanted their salted caramel butterscotch cupcake to be made with chocolate cake, minus the butterscotch filling, and with more saltiness on top (essentially turning it into a chocolate salted caramel cupcake). They said "no problem" when we placed the order, and on the wedding day, they delivered exactly what I asked for and it was phenomenal.

I also provided a photo of what we wanted the round cake to look like, and they got it just right.

Everything about working with Molly's was easy, from setting up the tasting, to determining what we wanted to order, to changing our delivery time (when our caterer requested that dessert get there earlier than initially planned), to delivering on the final product. Everything was just as delicious on the big day as it was at our tasting, and several guests commented to us on how good dessert was.

I cannot recommend Molly's enough for wedding service, and we will definitely be doing additional business with them in the future (there are still birthdays and anniversaries to be had!).

We already knew the cupcakes would be great when we decided to include Molly's in our wedding, but we were so happy to find the entire process was so easy and stress free. The staff was welcoming and helpful when we came to our tasting (though maybe a little surprised we finished ALL the samples). About 3 months ago I had my first Molly's cupcake. And when it was time to plan our wedding, they were the first (and only) option for great desserts for our guests. From the minute I sent in my form for information, they were responsive and handled everything. My husband and I loved the cupcake tasting where we created our options for our special day. I knew I wanted to work with Molly's years before I ever got engaged, because their cupcakes are THE BEST! I always wanted to do cupcakes, cause I'm known as the cupcake lady around the office. I love making cupcakes for co-worker's birthdays, and knew it was something people would immediately think of when they saw the cupcakes at the wedding. I decided to leave this job to the professionals, and wanted all my out of town guests to experience the wonder that is Molly's! This honestly was the thing I worried about the least in terms of them getting there and it being wonderful. They were so responsive and such a delight to deal with that there wasn't a doubt in my mind they wouldn't make it. To be really honest, our dessert was one of those things I cared a little less about when it came to vendors. I knew I didn't want a huge cake and felt cupcakes would be easier to display. I reached out to a few places in the city and could NOT get over the pricing, it was so high. Molly's was very reasonable for the quality and reputation. They were so helpful during our tasting, which was an absolute blast. We ended up getting a small cake to cut and I'm really glad we did. It took all I had not to eat the entire cake that night! We have nothing but positive things to say about Molly’s Cupcakes! We booked their services about nine months in advance of our wedding on June 16, 2017 and they were polite, thorough and responsive throughout the entire planning process.

During our tasting, the event director at Molly’s walked us through their impressive selection of flavors and helped us narrow down the cupcakes we wanted to serve at our wedding. In addition to an assortment of cupcakes, Molly’s created a small, delicious wedding cake for us, with peach cobbler filling and gold sugar pearl decorations. They delivered our treats to the wedding on time and in perfect condition, despite the long ride from Lincoln Park to Naperville. Our guests are still raving about how delicious the cupcakes were. We were completely satisfied with Molly's Cupcakes. They made both our wedding cake as well as mini cupcakes for our guests. Our timeline was short for planning our wedding, so they prepared a to go box with the various flavors of cupcakes and frosting so we could do our tasting at home. It was perfect. When planning our wedding, my now husband and I didn't want a cake (although Molly's offers those!)

We have been going to Molly's for YEARS (well I had been at least, I think my husband developed a love affair for them when we started dating) and I knew I wanted cupcakes for our wedding. You seriously just can't go wrong with Molly's. I already knew they were delicious cupcakes, but the great thing about Molly's is they offer a free tasting for couples if you're interested in using them for your big day! Emily was our point of contact at the shop, she's the Wedding & Events Coordinator and she was SO helpful. She helped us with suggestions on flavors, toppings, etc. She was really great. They're a Chicago based company and with our wedding being just over the border in Indiana, they were still able to deliver the cupcakes for us! They were a HUGE hit at our wedding, all of guests loved them!

We had Molly's Cupcakes instead of doing a wedding cake and they did not disappoint. We were very conscious of our budget and they stayed within our limits. They also allowed us to customized our order, getting as many different kinds as we wanted. Our guests loved the "Cookie Monster" cupcake.

Molly's has been my go-to cupcake place for a while and they were an outstanding dessert for our wedding. They offer a good variety of cupcake sizes and options and the cupcakes are amazing. We heard from several of our guests how delicious they were. The staff at Molly's was really easy to work with and responsive.

these cupcakes are my daughter's favorite and she wanted them for her wedding instead of cake. I can't tell you how many people commented on how good they were and wanted to take one home!
they are reliable and easy to work with.they are well known in chicago for the wonderful variety of cupcakes they make!

Ordered cupcakes and a topper cake round for the cupcake tier - we already knew we loved the cupcakes but the cake was also amazing and everyone LOVED the cupcakes!!! We were glad we ordered extra because our family was happy to take some home with them.

WONDERFUL service and such a hit at our wedding! People still rave about the cupcakes! I could not be more happy.

Just a tip though - if you are using a cupcake tower - get wood or plexi-glass. The cardboard ones are not meant for all of that deliciousness (too heavy).

We ordered a 9" cake as our wedding cake and cupcakes for the rest of the guests. Everything was DELICIOUS! It arrived on time, the cake was decorated just as requested, my only regret is that we didn't order enough cupcakes! We thought everyone would be full and possibly not want a stuffed cupcake, but they went the fastest! My recommendation: order 1-2 dozen more than you think people will consume! Also, we brought the leftover wedding cake home and it lasted in the fridge for over 2 weeks, stayed moist and still tasted delicious after we returned from our honeymoon!

Molly's catered our cupcakes and cake for our wedding. Everything was so delicious! We mixed the flavors and frostings, and still cannot decide which was our favorite. It was a great display that was put together, and a nice favor to provide our guests.

The cupcakes made it all the way to my venue in Naperville from Chicago in time and intact! My only complaint is that they did not put the cupcakes on the cupcake tree I had made, which was no big deal because the venue did it for me. These are THE VERY BEST cupcakes EVER! I ordered 100 more than what I was expecting to need and my guests were very thankful to take 1 or 2 home as favors. Sooo yummy!

If you LOVE cupcakes, go to Molly's! They have the best cupcakes in Chicago. My fiance and I love cupcakes and we found Molly's months before the wedding. We were really excited when we went for a tasting and got to try so many different kinds of cupcakes, frostings, and even their special filled cupcakes. It was so hard to choose because we liked almost everything we tried.
I think Molly's was the most affordable for our wedding cupcakes and were the best tasting. Our guests really enjoyed the cupcakes at our wedding and were so happy they were able to take some home with them. We did have a small cake to cut at the wedding and we decided to go with one of their known filled cupcake flavors.
I'd highly recommend checking out Molly's Cupcakes! You won't be disappointed!

I was actually a guest at another recent wedding where Molly's cupcakes were delivered. They were so rich and delicous, I wish I had used them rather than the dry cake at my venue.

Most delicious cupcakes ever!!! So moist and the frosting is amazing! Best you'll ever taste. My only tiff was the tiered stand provided the day of the wedding was not the one we were shown at the tasting (a previous party who had rented it damaged it). I will definitely be going back for a little taste of my wedding.

We used Mollys for my wedding cake and cupcakes and they were a HUGE hit! We ordered the mini cupcakes in 5 different flavors so guests could have enough room to try multiple flavors. We were so happy that we used Molly's because we had such wonderful reviews from guests who loved them! When it was time to cut our wedding cake, I did not want to stop eating it because it was so amazing! We used a "naked" design which looked so perfect for our theme. Working with Mollys was easy and effortless, they are professional and know what they're doing. My sister who was the maid of honor cannot eat dairy so we ordered vegan vanilla cupcakes for 1 flavor and they were very wonderful about ensuring that the order was perfect. Everything looked beautiful and ordering Mollys for our dessert was one of the easiest choices we made for our wedding. I recommend Mollys to everyone for any event!

This was our favorite treat to get right down the street from our house, so it meant the world to us to be able to share the deliciousness on our special day! They went above and beyond for us and even helped us have a design in a way they had never done it before! Could not have been happier!

I'm not the biggest fan of cake at wedding. I prefer chocolate-covered strawberries. Or donuts. My husband, on the other hand, LOVES cake. We compromised and got cupcakes. Molly's was super helpful when helping us decide the kind of cake, the amount, and decorations for our big day! We were able to get a variety of flavors/combinations for our guests and the delivery/set up process was smooth as pie! Totally recommend Molly's for wedding - or any occasion!

The most delicious and most affordable cupcake option in the Chicago-land area. We had a combination of mini and regular sized cupcakes as well as 1 small cake. Everyone raved about the cupcakes. My parents, who had never had Molly's before, are now obsessed and will go to Molly's any time they are in Chicago. We worked with Nicole and she was great. She helped us work with the chef to do some small decoration on our cake which was very nice of her.

We loved working with Molly's cupcakes for our wedding in July. The cupcakes tasted AMAZING especially the Ron Bunnington and Carrot Cake and i know the guests loved ALL the flavors. I found edible butterflies on Etsy that i wanted included as cupcake toppers and Nicole at Molly's was very accommodating and they even "tested" the butterflies to ensure they wouldn't melt. I highly recommend Molly's Cupcakes.

Molly's is hands down my favorite cupcake bakery in Chicago. The cake is so buttery and delicious, I love them. We went with a 9inch blueberry cheesecake cake to cut for our wedding because we had donuts and pie for dessert. The only reason I did not give them a 5 out 5 is that the cake wasn't quite what I had in mind, my favorite part about the blueberry cheesecake cupcake is the thick yummy graham cracker crust pieces. While there were some crumbles in the cake, it got a little lost. They did warn us that it might be this way and were going to try to make a thicker crust at the bottom, but they had to clear that with the baker and see if it would turn out. In the end, I trust that the baker made the best decision and the cake still tasted great. In the end I would have maybe gone with a few larger cupcakes instead of a cake but that is only because my expectations were based on the cupcake version and not the cake version of the center-filled cake flavor. Still love Molly's so much and would highly recommend them to anyone!

We worked with Lindsay from Molly's cupcakes for our small cakes & cupcake order for our wedding. The cupcakes were phenomenal! Many of the guests told us how great they were :) The only bad thing about Molly's is that their delivery fee on the weekends is ridiculously expensive and they don't offer cupcake stands for rent. We did have a great time during our tasting and Lindsay was wonderful to work with. Our order turned out perfect and I can't wait to go back for more cupcakes!

Molly's made 140 cupcakes and a 9" cake for the top of my stand for us to cut. We did a combination of chocolate/chocolate, chocolate/vanilla, chocolate/brown butter, vanilla/vanilla, vanilla/chocolate, red velvet/cream cheese and carrot/cream cheese. Our cake was "Death by Chocolate": chocolate cake, chocolate filling and ganache on top.

Everyone loved the cupcakes- said they were the some of the best desserts they'd ever had at a wedding. There were very few cupcakes left over at the end of the night.

We went to four other bakeries because people told us a regular bakery would be cheaper than a cupcake-specific bakery. They were WRONG! Molly's was the least expensive and had the best cake and frosting of any of the places we went to! And they were bigger than a standard cupcake without being monsterous.

Can't wait to defrost and eat my cake next year!

I did give one less star on the responsiveness because I had a hard time scheduling a tasting- when I called initially and was told who to email, they neglected to tell me that that person's only in certain days and times (and there's only certain days/times they do tastings), then the email I sent never got printed out for her so it was several more days before I got in contact with her....eventually it worked out and there were no problems after that.

Best cupcakes ever! Some tough choices for our wedding day since several cupcakes can not sit out for more than an hour. Kristine was responsive and helpful. Highly recommend Molly's for your wedding cupcake needs. They make tiered cakes too!

Delicious wedding cake and desserts

We ordered a wedding cake and an assortment of desserts (cupcakes and cookies) from Molly's for our wedding. We had a good experience with them. They were also able to include gluten-free and dairy-free options for the non-cake desserts for our guests with dietary restrictions. Everything went smoothly on our wedding day, and the cake and desserts were quickly devoured by our guests, who said they were delicious!

Despite a little disappoinment at the way the pick up was handled, we loved Molly's. Basically we had two drivers each taking a load to MI - all the cupcakes fit in the first vehicle but Molly's never notified the other driver so she drove across town in rush hour only to get there and have major confusion as to where the rest of the cupcakes were. Regardless, the vegan cupcakes we got were AMAZING! They packed them well and they traveled well on the 3 hour drive from Chicago to Michigan. We loved them and so did our guests - so much so that at the end of the night when we were the last ones to leave the country club, I realized I hadn't had one - and to my surprise there wasn't even a dozen left! My favorite kind was gone but I wasn't disappointed with the other flavor that I was forced to have - they're all so delicious!

We decided to go with wedding cupcakes rather than cake, and Molly's Cupcakes was a great choice. The tasting was free, and our contact was very flexible with flavor and icing combinations. My partner wasn't able to join at the tasting, and the vendor offered to pack up samples of everything we tasted so I could bring them home. Affordable and delicious, and they do deliver. The only tough part was sometimes getting a hold of the vendor contact, but was very kind and helpful once we did connect.

The cupcakes were a HUGE hit at the wedding!

Order A Plain Cake Or Choose A Different Vendor

My wedding coordinator recommended Molly's cakes because they were a less expensive option. But, I noticed that Molly's wedding cakes on Instagram appeared very simple, so I in return provided Molly's Cakes with a simple inspiration photo because I didn't want to take a chance of choosing something more advanced that could possibly get screwed up. The cake tasted lovely on the day of our wedding, but the design looked like a child had painted on our wedding cake. I'm not a cake decorator, but I could have definitely done better. Molly's Cakes did give us $50 back after the fact, but I just wanted to give future customers a heads up... order something very very simple if you want to go with Molly's Cakes.

The highlight of using Molly's Cupcakes for our wedding reception desert was the price--Molly's was the most inexpensive for good quality cupcakes that I could find in the Chicago area in which we were working around. And the cupcakes were good quality. Unfortunately, working with the wedding staff at Molly's was a confusing and frustrating process. It was a challenge to receive clear information by the wedding "liason," as there seemed to be three or four and they weren't communicating with each other. Evidently, our order was entered incorrectly, and had I not asked for an itemized receipt for our payments, we wouldn't have known we got the wrong cupcakes until we entered the reception and went to cut the cake (not exactly a moment when you want to find out that things are not as you planned and expected). I never received receipts unless I asked, and we never did receive a contract (although I had requested one at the beginning of the process). The overall impression I gained in my experience with Molly's Cupcakes for weddings was that they are not quite equipped to do weddings, nor prepared for the professionalism and thoroughness of details that brides often prefer and find assuring (those things certainly help make wedding planning smoother). We did end up getting the cupcakes we wanted and (thought) we ordered in the first place, and they were a hit with guests. The process of getting to that point was a tough and unsettling one.
