The dress didn’t fit, the summer before my fall wedding. I had bought a discontinued style off the rack in the Spring, and despite losing weight, it still didn’t fit. I was devastated. In addition, there was just something missing from it. I came to Moline Krongberg because they specialize in wedding gowns, and I wanted to have it cleaned and hoped they could help me with the fit. In addition, I was wearing my mother’s veil, which needed to be cleaned, and I wanted to add some personal touches. They did all that and so much more. The dress fit, they customized it, and it was the wedding gown I didn’t know I always dreamed of. Guests could not stop complimenting me, and wearing my mother’s veil made the ceremony so special. Vanette and the whole shop were so helpful, professional, and supportive. They also cleaned and preserved my gown. The whole journey with them has been so wonderful, and I fully recommend working with them to make your special day as magical as mine. Moline Kronberg altered not 1 but 2 dresses for my wedding. I decided upon the second dress 2 weeks before the wedding, but they were willing to help me and finished it in time for the big day! My husband also had his wedding suit tailored at Moline. The work they do is immaculate - very high quality. Just as good as a seamstress in Manhattan. I was thrilled with the results and absolutely loved my dresses! Patrizia and Violetta are the consummate professionals, as well as friendly and helpful. They paid so much attention to detail. Patricia and everyone at Moline Kronberg were phenomenal! They were responsive, quick, and professional. With my request to alter the neckline they were able to order the fabric and do it with ease and the dress was more beautiful than I could have imagined. We’ve now even changed tot along all of our dry cleaning and alterations here because they were AMAZING!! -

Saved my grandmothers 1966 wedding dress!
Blown away does not even begin to explain the how I feel about the work that Patricia and her team has done to restore my grandmothers 56 year old wedding dress. This dress has not been worn since her wedding day in 1966 and had been kept in a closet in the dry desert climate of Arizona with no preservation performed.
The lace had severely yellowed. The appliqués, sequins and beading had also aged over time. I was convinced that there were just going to be parts that could not be saved. I was wrong. Patricia is a dress saving angel and because of her hard work I now have the opportunity to wear my grandmother’s dress to my August 2023 wedding.
I am beyond thankful for her love and appreciation for preserving loved pieces. I could tell from the second I passed my dress over to her that she would care for it as if it was her own family’s heirloom.
I cannot thank her and the rest of the Moline Kronberg team enough!

The absolute best seamstress
Carmen altered my wedding dress and made an exact replica of my moms wedding dress overskirt.
The dress fit me absolutely perfectly and the overskirt turned out flawless.
The ladies listened to my concerns, addressed all of them and were just as excited as me for the day I finally was able to wear it. I feel so lucky that I found them to make my dress fit and look amazing. -

Pandemic bride here! With the chaos of covid, and our postponement, I didn’t really get the chance to do most of the fun wedding prep *stuff*, like bridal shower, tasting menus, or dress shopping with my mom & my bridesmaids. Ultimately I ordered my dress online, and brought it in to Moline Kronenberg for my fitting.
Loyda and her team were incredible through the whole process, and were willing to host our whole little crew (my mom, groom’s mom, my aunt, and my bridesmaids) in their shop so that I could have the whole fitting experience. When I zipped into the dress they stood back and, instead of trying to upsell me on any changes, said that nothing needed to be altered; it fit just right. For my mom’s dress, she initially just wanted a hem. While trying on, they overheard her lamenting to my aunt about needing to find a bra that wouldn’t show with the dress’ neckline and offered to add a built in bra to the dress itself so that she would have nothing to worry about. On the day of my wedding, her dress fit her exactly as she wanted it to and she was comfortable all day thanks to the team’s updates.
Weeks later when I went back, they remembered me, asked about my mom, and even remembered the shoes that I tried on with my wedding dress. Their work is great, but their supreme level of customer service is what will keep me coming back! -

I had bought my dress out of state and needed to find someone in the area to alter it. I was nervous, but I had no reason to be. The ladies at Moline took great care of my dress. They carefully explained my options and when I came back for my second fitting it was perfect. Stress free process. Thank you! -

Don't look any further! This is the shop you must work with!
Excellent service and amazing staff and owners. No one I would trust more with my grandmother's wedding dress. Not only did they bring the material back to life, but their extremely skilled seamstresses were able to make alterations for it to fit a taller and wider body than my grandmother had. The material was a heavy silk/satin, and every change can show so easily, as it's not a forgiving material. I don't know how they did it, but it looks better than it did the day she wore it! I highly recommend them to anyone looking to wear a vintage wedding dress, they are masters at their craft. Cannot say enough good about them. -

I can't recommend Moline-Kronberg enough. They did an incredible job cleaning my wedding gown and took great care with preserving it. They were also able to remove some very deep stains from the bottom of the dress that were created from taking pictures on the beach during the winter.
When I picked up the dress they showed me all of their beautiful work and delicately packed my dress away. They gave me very detailed instructions on how to care for the dress.
They were also very responsive, even during the COVID crisis. They communicated regularly via text and were so friendly both online and in person. Highly recommend! -

Chrissy Sent on 10/05/2019Amazing Restoration and Alteration of 40 Year Old Heirloom Dress
The women at Moline Kronberg are simply miracle workers! My mom really wanted me to wear her wedding dress for my wedding this past June but when she took the box out of storage, the dress and lace had yellowed. So we took it to Moline Kronberg and were absolutely blown away by the results. They were able to restore it to the original white (attached is a photo from halfway through the process - you can see how white the treated sleeve is)! A 40 year old dress looked brand new! When I wanted to remove the sleeves and add a bustle, they were so responsive and easy to work with! And their alterations are seriously second to none. When I decided to create my own veil out of my mom's old tulle? I knew exactly where to take my finished but wrinkled veil. And when I bought a traditional qipao that just didn't fit my hips? The seamstress at Moline Kronberg came to my rescue again! And after my wedding? Of course I took my dress back to Moline Kronberg for cleaning and preservation. Seriously - Moline Kronberg can help you with ANY wedding need. And service throughout every process was just amazing. I can't urge you enough - just use Moline Kronberg! -

Extremely happy and satisfied with Moline Kronberg! I found them while doing research for my online Event & Wedding Planning Course. I was married almost 7 years ago and didn't preserve my dress immediately as I should have! I brought it to them and the stains were removed and the dress looks like new! Truly an exceptional experience with Moline-Kronberg Cleaners. When I dropped off my wedding dress to inquire about preservation in October 2018, a noticeable hole in addition to some dirt/stains on the bottom of my wedding dress was brought to my attention. I spoke with Marcello who had inspected my dress and informed me they would do their very best to fix it. When I picked up my dress a little over 8 weeks later, Patricia took her time to kindly show me my wedding dress free of the very noticeable hole and stains. I can confidently say my dress was taken care of and cleaned to perfection. I highly recommend Moline-Kronberg Cleaners to family, friends, and anyone in need of quality services. It rained on my wedding day so I was a bit panicked when I turned over my Oscar de la Renta wedding dress for cleaning and preservation. The entire hem was covered in dirt and mud. Fortunately, Moline is a miracle worker, so my dress came back completely spotless and restored to it's original perfection. Couldn't be more thankful for Moline! -

I cannot recommend them enough for restoring vintage dresses!
I brought in my grandmother’s 1954 silk and lace gown for cleaning and alterations. The lace was fragile and broken, the hem was stained, and alterations done in the 1980s had damaged parts of the skirt. Marcello did a wonderful job washing and stabilizing the fabric.
Patricia and Loyda talked through the alterations with me, making sure that dress would hold up, and fit what I wanted for my wedding day. The tears were patched with matching lace, the weak spots were reinforced, and everything turned out great!
I also had them alter my reception dress as well. Alterations were done quickly and looked and felt amazing once they were done with it!

Sean Sent on 06/16/2018This place is terrible! Stay far away. My fiancée and I went here to have her wedding dress altered and they really screwed it up. The hem is a half inch too long, they were supposed to add things to keep the bra straps in place and they didn't, The neckline is supposed to sit flat against her skin and it doesn't at all, and they got a stain on her dress. On top of all this Loyda and everybody else we dealt with there are fake, rude, talk down to you, and they are way overpriced! They make all these promises and say that they are masters at what they do and come up way short of that. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. We wish we had. Her dress is now at another alterations place trying to be fixed. The place that it’s at now who IS a professional and master said that we were way overcharged and that they somehow messed up a simple alteration and she is going to try and fix what they screwed up. But they screwed up so badly that she isn’t sure if it is fixable at this point. -

I completely regret using Moline Kronberg. My first appointment was fine, the price of $900 threw me off a bit especially since my dress did not cost much more than that AND I didn’t need many alterations but the reviews were so great so I trusted this was the best place to be and was willing to pay the price. At the first appointment everything was pinned (hem, straps, chest & bustle) & was schedule for an appointment for a month later (12/11/21, 4 weeks before my wedding). Between my first & second appointment I had some second thoughts about the changes we were making to the chest & called to discuss. I was told I would get a call back. Never did. Called again & spoke with the seamstress, who again said she’d call me back & also laughed while talking about me to the other women working there bc I was asking about price. I guess she thought I didn’t understand what she was saying. Never called me back. I then texted Loyda & was told I’d get a call. Never did. I called myself & spoke with Loyda, at that point I didn’t even bring up the chest issues bc I decided I was good with the changes but we did discuss adding sleeves (which was discussed at the first appointment and I was quoted $250 to build and add the sleeves with clear snaps - I wound up purchasing already made sleeves and only needed them to add the snaps). At my second appointment all the adjustments were made & fine except the chest. The pins were removed from the chest, the lining was cut out & the discussed changes weren’t made. I brought it up during my appointment & I was told that at my NEXT appointment when I bring in the sleeves I purchased they will pin the chest. My next appointment was on 12/27/21 & I brought the sleeves with me. The seamstress put the sleeves over the sweater I was wearing & said “ok we’re good.” I then asked about trying the dress on for the chest. And I was assured that I wouldn’t need to try on, that they can make the chest adjustments WITHOUT ME TRYING ON. My final appointment was for 1/3/22, I showed up & the dress was nothing like I wanted. Instead of naturally closing the plunge in the neckline like discuss in our first fitting, the seamstress completely OVERLAPPED & closed the neckline & again this was done without me trying on & approving these changes. I cried & asked for it to be fixed the way we initially discussed. I also called again later that day to be COMPLETELY CLEAR about what I wanted (NO OVERLAP) & was told I’d get a call back confirming. NEVER DID. I came back the next day & all that was done was the seam was taken out a little but it was still overlapped. My wedding was in two days at that point so I took the dress bc I was exhausted & needed the dress. Not to mention, like I said I was quoted $250 to build the sleeves & add them with clear snaps & then was told $200 to just add clear snaps when I brought in already made sleeves!!!! Moline Kronberg is overpriced and their employees are rude, lack communication and are impatient. I felt completely taken advantage of, I was treated like some idiot. Unfortunately (but fortunately) my wedding was last minute postponed to April 2022 because of Covid & I was able to bring my dress to someone who is more professional, patient & qualified to make the correct changes. I do not recommend & I truly wish I went elsewhere for my wedding dress alterations.
