We were so impressed with Moghul for our Sangeet, Wedding Ceremony (Gujarati lunch), and Reception dinner for our wedding celebration at the Westfields Marriott in Chantilly, VA. The food was absolutely phenomenal—every dish was flavorful, beautifully prepared, and loved by all of our guests. The service throughout each event was smooth and professional, and their team handled everything with care. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, the communication with Rajeev and Mukul was excellent, which gave us so much peace of mind. Both Rajeev and Mukul showed up to our venue and ensured each minute of our weekend was a success. The guests could not stop raving about the food at our wedding for weeks following the event. Overall, they played a huge role in making our celebrations unforgettable and would highly recommend them! -

Our son Vivek got married recently at Glenmere Hotel in Chester NY. We had 2 ceremonies - Friday was Indian and Saturday was Christian
We had Moghul from Edison NJ Cater the event which was a Reception/Sangeet mashup
From the start Kunal Dhupaar was great to work with - he understood exactly what we were trying to accomplish and worked with us to craft a menu that worked for us.
Huge shoutout to Mukul who was in charge of Operations that day and made sure all went smoothly.
Since we were having a formal sit down dinner the next night we opted for heavy appetizers during cocktails followed by more heavier street food for dinner. The passed appetizers were a hit especially the Tandoori lamb chops and the plated Palak chaat
We wanted a Tandoor for fresh nans and they delivered as well as a Tava Kabab station and a Indi Chinese station to name a few
Overall our guests left full and I got so many compliments on the food and service.
I would highly recommend using Moghul to cater your wedding or other event

We have used Moghul on three separate occasions for large parties at our home in Summit, NJ. The most recent one was on Saturday last to celebrate our son's wedding. They are absolutely top notch. The food choices are mind bogglingly extensive and every item we have ordered has been fantastic. Their staff, set up and service are all exceptional. We always first find out if Dimpy Pingle is available to lead the crew before we even pick a date for our events, because she is that good. Her assistant Pawan was also very good. Dimpy and Pawn are very attentive to guests every need and the team does a great job of setting up the food, the dining set up, and also a great job with afterparty clean-up. -

We retained Moghul Catering for our three-day wedding at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, and they delivered an exceptional experience that surpassed our highest expectations.
From our initial engagement, Rajeev demonstrated the utmost professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail. He remained actively involved throughout the planning process — from contract execution and menu development to final coordination and on-site delivery — ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience.
The cuisine was nothing short of outstanding. Each dish reflected a deep mastery of Indian flavors, presented with elegance and executed with remarkable consistency across multiple events. The Shitali Baklava, in particular, was a standout — widely praised by our guests and a true highlight of the weekend.
We give Moghul Catering our strongest recommendation for any couple planning a high-end Indian wedding. Their team played an integral and pivotal role in making our celebration truly memorable. -

Every aspect of our experience with Moghul for our fusion Indowestern wedding was exceptional.
We worked with Chef Mohanty who from the start was collaborative, innovative, and incredibly professional. What truly stood out was their flawless execution across multiple days of events—culminating in a beautifully complex, custom-curated experience for over 250 guests in a challenging venue with a small kitchen and lots of moving parts. Every guest commented that it was the best food experience they had ever had at a wedding.
A huge shoutout to Chef Mohanty and his team—they were absolute rockstars. Their ability to adapt and deliver under pressure, while still presenting dishes that were visually stunning and deeply flavorful, was nothing short of amazing. Every single dish--and there were 30+ unique dishes--was executed with care and attention to detail, and despite the tight constraints, everything came out on time—hot, fresh, and delicious.
Highlights from the Weekend:
Day 1 – Sangeet:
The welcome appetizers were creative and delicious—guests are still raving about the truffle mushroom cornette and the avocado + beet poriyal tartare, which struck the perfect balance between modern and traditional. The tater tot chaat was a crowd favorite, and the beetroot dosa bombs were an inventive hit.
The live stations during dinner were the real showstoppers. The pani puri, dosa, tater tot chaat, Indian pizza, and Indian esquites stations were not only interactive and fun but delivered incredible flavor.
Dessert was another highlight—jalebis, kulfi, chai, and coffee brought the night to a sweet and warm close, and the Maggi station at the afterparty was a nostalgic, crowd-pleasing touch.
Day 2 – Western Day:
From batata pauva at breakfast to the pre-ceremony sukhi bhel and chikoo shake, Moghul kept things light and energizing throughout the day. The cocktail hour stations were well-curated and flavorful—the masala devilled eggs and edamame dumplings stood out especially. And the Indian Nam Khao lettuce wraps offered a fresh and bold contrast to more traditional flavors.
Dinner was served family-style and felt intimate and thoughtful. The saffron pasta, creamy white beans, and beets with pistachio labneh showcased the team’s ability to go beyond their comfort zone and embrace seasonal, elevated American-style cuisine. Everything was plated beautifully and timed perfectly. And once again, Chef Mohanty and his team hit it out of the park despite the logistical challenges.
Final Day (7/20/2025):
We ended the weekend with a lovely goodbye breakfast of idli, sambar, and chutney—light, flavorful, and just what everyone needed after a weekend full of celebration.
We are beyond grateful for the Moghul Caterers team. This was not a cookie-cutter menu—it was custom from top to bottom, with unique dietary requests, Jain accommodations, outside vendor integrations, and high expectations. Yet every single detail was handled with grace and expertise.
Thank you, Chef Mohanty, for making our wedding not just memorable—but deliciously unforgettable. As one guest said, "My expectations were already high, but they were blown away by every dish." -

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Rajeev Sachdeva and the incredible team at Mughul Catering for our son's wedding festivities, including the breakfast and lunch following the wedding ceremony and the reception dinner—and we couldn’t be happier with our experience.
From the very beginning, Rajeev was professional, attentive, and genuinely invested in ensuring that every detail was perfect. The food was absolutely outstanding—each dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and thoroughly enjoyed by all of our guests. Many of them went out of their way to compliment the variety, taste, and authenticity of the cuisine.

Moghul catered the food, for our daughter Sonya’s wedding at Maritime Parc. We worked with Rajeev Sachdeva. Rajeev was very professional in all his interactions with us right from the get go, paid attention to every need of ours..
From our very first conversation, their team demonstrated true professionalism, creativity, and passion for what they do. Every aspect of the catering — from the exquisite menu to the flawless execution — exceeded our expectations in every way.
We had a South Indian menu for lunch . All our guests still talk about the curated menu and delicious food. We worked with Rajeev Sachdeva and Latha Everyone was surprised that an all-vegetarian South Indian menu could be so delicious and perfectly executed. The standard could compare to some of the best restaurants in Chennai. We have recommended Moghul to many of our South Indian friends.
The cocktail hour appetizers were simply the best with a wide range of cuisine to select from. The food was absolutely phenomenal.
Each dish was masterfully prepared, using the freshest ingredients and presented beautifully.
The reception dinner which was North Indian was excellent and world class. Our guests were blown away by the variety, and the elegant presentation. It truly felt like a five-star dining experience brought directly to our event.
Equally impressive was the service. The team was warm, attentive, and incredibly organized, ensuring that every detail was handled seamlessly.
A heartfelt thank you to Moghul and especially Rajeev Sachdeva for making our event unforgettable! If you're looking for a caterer who will elevate your event and leave a lasting impression on every guest, Moghul is simply the best choice I am so happy that Moghul was our caterer.

Moghul catered the food for our reception on June 15, 2024, at Floral Terrace, NY.
Everyone raved about our food—quality, taste, and much more. Everyone was surprised that an all-vegetarian menu could be so delicious and perfectly executed. I am so happy that Moghul was our caterer and proud that you could be part of our day. The food was truly incredible. They have a lot of variety you can choose from, and they work with you to determine what would be best for your event and guests.
My sincere thanks to all the staff that came to help us, including the chefs, waiters, and setup/cleanup staff, and my sincere thanks to you for accommodating us without any worry. A special thanks to Rajeev for coordinating with us. I also heard from Floral Terrace how much they appreciated your detailed back-work in preparing so precisely for the event.

Our journey with Moghul restaurant in Edison started more than 28 years ago when they opened in Edison, NJ. We would drive from Lawrenceville all the way to Edison just to eat their Kababs and Naan...it was worth the long drive those days!!
Today, many years later, we chose and whole heartedly knew that Moghul caterers would undoubtedly do their best to make our events a feast galore for all our guests. Moghul took care of the wedding which was pure vegetarian and moved on to the reception which had non-veg too. Our family and friends cannot stop talking about the sumptuous, tasty, beautifully displayed variety of food. It was just a mouth watering feast for the everyone. The appetizers were to die for is what some said. What took the whole food experience to the next level was the "Viennese Dessert Presentation". That was just so elaborate and extravagant. The Marigold staff and Moghul together did a grandiose presentation and made the newly weds inaugurate the Dessert stations....W O W!!!.
I have one request to Moghul, we should all vouch for a post wedding tasting because I could not taste everything and I feel jealous that all my guests are still raving about the food and desserts...;)).
Thank you very much to Neeraj Shokeen and Kunal for everything you did to make our experience the best ever! You were always responsive and helped customize our menu choices. Thank you for the personal touch at the Reception...it is much appreciated!
We love Moghul and the NAIRS very highly recommend them to anyone celebrating a special event. Good Luck to Moghul Caterers and we will see you around for years to come.

From start to finish, working with Rajeev at Moghul catering was an excellent experience. Moghul's food quality for both the south Indian and North Indian dishes that we ordered from them for our wedding was second to none in the Edison area. Countless guests were left impressed by the quality of our live stations during our cocktail hour as well as the quality of the dishes for our reception dinner. First off let me start by saying Moghul catered my wedding 25 years ago. It is a classic and staple in terms of catering. Fast forward 25 years. We were celebrating a much more intimate milestone birthday. Neeraj was absolutely amazing to work with. Moghul I know does catering for events with hundreds of people. However not once did Neeraj make us feel like we didn't matter. He catered my 75 ppl event like he would a 750 ppl event. His team was amazing on the day of the event and the food was AMAZING! Thank you Neeraj and moghul caterers for making my event perfect! -

Choosing Moghul as our wedding caterer was the easiest choice we made during the wedding planning process! We have had their food at several family parties and event/weddings and loved how consistent the food items were whenever we tried them. We used Moghul for all 7 meals for our wedding weekend and Rajeev and Kunal were helpful every step of the way. They were able to get on several calls with us to go over our meal plan and gave us opinions and suggestions for what to change to give our guests a well rounded meal experience. Our guests raved about the food for every meal! Moghul specializes in Indian food but their international selections are just as amazing. From Mediterranean to Mexican, Italian, other Asian cuisines, they have mastered it all. Our family will definitely continue to be using Moghul for all of our other parties and events in the future! -

We had them for 3 events and the food for all the 3 were so yummy. Their team is very professional, dependable and easy to work with. For all 3 events they were on time. Their staff was great to work with. The manager Mr. Kunal was very helpful and gave suggestions as per his experience. What was supposed to be a supplemental Indian cuisine for a few vegetarians got modified by Rajeev with his immense experience at wedding catering. The result was a spectacular food selection that converted even the diehard American palate. Prem and his crew were superb, the ultimate profesionals. From the dosa station to the samosa chat, phyllo cup bhel, fish amritsari, lamb vindaloo, gulab jamun - guests were left wondering if they need to eat the main course. They did and 3 hours later, tired after the revelery, they did feel hungry again - go figure. -

We had an outstanding experience with Moghul caterers recently with our daughter’s wedding. The owner Mr Arora kindle introduced us to their head chef Vipul, who is extremely talented. Vipul worked closely with us, took all our needs and wants into consideration, and curated phenomenal cocktail and dinner menu’s for us. The food itself, the dishes, the presentation and the variety, took the meals to a whole other level. I have no words to describe the food - the spread was just fantastic. All our Indian and non-Indian guests are still raving about the food. Moghul caterers and Vipul made our daughter’s wedding a very memorable experience for our guests., and I would hire them again and again without a second thought. -

We have used Moghul Catering ( Moghul Restaurants Group) for catering on many occasions for our family and friends various functions within the US for many years, but this time it was for a destination wedding in Los Cabos, Mexico at Grand Velas Resort for more than 200 guests in each event for a span of 3 days. Rajeev Sachdeva from Moghul was our catering manager who has helped us pick the best menu for all events. Needless to say, they did an amazing job by all means and pleased all of our guests with delicious meals that they still crave to enjoy again. Definitely recommend to everyone who is looking for someone who can manage your event food needs with creative menu and timely service. Grateful to Moghul for making our event a huge success by serving mouth watering delicacies and keeping everyone Happy with delicious meals. -

Moghul and Chef Vipul were the talk of our wedding. Chef Vipul went above and beyond to accomodate all of our needs. The food was so good that people could not stop raving about it! My friends and family said it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Chef Vipul was able to address all of the dietary restrictions in our family and make sure that it tasted great. Moghul really delivered for us even when the guest count kept increasing due to changing Covid restrictions. Chef Vipul and Moghul really did show us the love on our wedding day. -

With the hiring of Vipul as their new chef, Moghul has taken their quality over the top. We have used them for many years, however, Vipul is reinventing and creating new things for Indian wedding catering. If you want something out of the box AND delicious, you will not be disappointed. Not to mention he was able to acquire my favorite fruit, mangosteen, which does not grow in America, and saved me a bunch of extras the next day since I couldn't eat during the event. I will always recommend Moghul to anyone looking for quality, excellence, and delicious food! -

We are so happy we booked them for our Bengali Hindu ceremony in NYC. We had last minute venue changes due to COVID issues and needed a caterer a month before our wedding- Rajeev was so responsive, helpful and accommodating from the start. He had great recommendations and worked with us to create a truly fusion menu (my husbands family is Italian American) so that there were familiar menu items for my Bangladeshi family and his side but also fun fusion things like chicken tikka flatbread or tandoori lamb chop that was intriguing for everyone to try. The food was high quality-my dad's a chef who is very nitpicky and he gave his approval! Especially the meats. We had specific menu requests such as the goat curry to be cooked Bangladeshi style and chef Vipul worked with my mom to make sure it was cooked the way that was intended and delivered on it- my family was very impressed. One thing would be to make food less spicy when there is a mixed wedding guest crowd but luckily there were many options of foods to eat that it wasn't an issue. We are so happy we booked the best. We highly recommend them! -

Moghul Caterers was the vendor of choice for my sister's wedding 17 years ago, and I still remember how tasty the food was and how beautiful the presentation was! We decided to work with Moghul Caterers again for our wedding in October, and they did not disappoint after all those years! Our guests could not stop talking about how amazing the cocktail hour food was, how much food there was, and how they were disappointed they were so full from cocktail hour - they didn't have room for seconds for dinner!
Rajeev worked with us on our personalized menu, and was helpful and communicative throughout the process - providing the perfect recommendations for our fusion wedding and adapting to our needs with COVID. We cannot thank him enough for being such an easy vendor to work with during a very stressful time.

We got married on 10.12.2019. Moghul is the best. We had a Gujarati Punjabi wedding and working with Neeraj was simple. Mogul is super professional and Neeraj has many great suggestions on food selection. The team executed on all of our events, and one of my only regrets is not trying every dish! Family, friends and coworkers all raved about the food at our wedding. Most venues trust Moghul as an exclusive vendor for a reason. We highly recommend Moghul! -

My family and I had worked with Moghul Caterers for my wedding at Hyatt Regency Jersey City, and 2 years later, guests still rave about the quality of the food. That's why when it came to planning a milestone birthday party for one of my family members, choosing Moghul was a no-brainer. We were worried because the venue did not come with a proper kitchen - no stove, oven, or microwave. Nevertheless, Moghul came prepared with lots of equipment, and the quality of the food still matched our wedding - my family and I were extremely impressed with their ability to maintain impeccably high standards despite the kitchen limitations. Our favorites were the lamb chops (extremely juicy), the beautifully curated palak chat, the mutton preparation, and the orange kulfi quarters. At one point in the evening, one of the guests accidentally knocked over the chocolate birthday cake onto the carpeted floor of the venue. Without battling eyelids, the Moghul staff immediately cleaned up the mess and removed the carpet stain and didn't add any extra charges! I love how professional and organized they are - working with them has always been a smooth process. We look forward to working together with them in many more happy celebrations!
