I can't say enough good things about Moetic! They are super responsive and easy to work with on a business level, but what I truly valued is that they take the time to actual invest in each couple and hear their story and make sure that they are doing it justice in their film. I only way one can understand the power behind what Moetic did for us on our wedding day is to simply watch the artistic film they made for us! As seasoned photographers who have shot hundreds of weddings we say this with serious conviction. Moetic captured a visual dream for us! We (HALLIE+MIKE, July 27, 2013) cannot say enough about Moetic! Their videos completely speak for themselves in terms of artistry, storytelling and quality. Not only was the final product excellent, working with them was so fun. Their team so professional and responsive. In fact on the day of I was in a pinch trying to delivery the groom's gift and Ryan went out of his way to come and pick it up so that I didn't have to stress out over it. When we were trying to choose between videographers we looked at a few others that were in a similar price range. There was another company that we looked at that was slightly less expensive and the video was going to be longer, but we went with Moetic because we liked their look better. BEST. DECISION. EVER. Their vision of a shorter final product and an edited documentary exceeded all our expectations and was way better than a longer film. Not only that, they go above and beyond. Other companies are charging you for every little thing. Moetic gives you a single price and will do whatever it takes to capture your day, and they do all of it joyfully. They also did our loves story and it blew everyone away when we played it at our wedding. We loved working with them, loved the final product and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great videographer. They were worth every penny!

We are so happy that we decided to have Moetic film our wedding. Ryan and Susan were incredible throughout the process - very responsive and professional, and exactly the kind of people we wanted to be a part of our wedding day. One of our concerns before committing was whether we would feel overwhelmed by having a video crew in addition to photographers with us throughout the day, and Susan and Ryan were anything but overbearing. They were a pleasure to work with, a pleasure to be around, and they blended into our day seamlessly. Not to mention the fact that we are thrilled with the way the video and documentary edit turned out! We are looking forward to sharing them with family and reliving the memories over the upcoming holidays.

The best wedding videographers ever. The Moetic crew went out of their way to get to know us as a couple beforehand to truly make it a personalized video. Anyone who is getting married needs to hire Moetic, you will not regret it. Out of everything we paid for on our wedding day, the Moetic video was by far the most impressive and lasting memory. Simply put, hiring "Moetic" is THE best way to spend money on your wedding. Ryan and Susan set high standards for their industry. We were blown away by their time commitment to our wedding day and their incredible attention to detail. While we hardly noticed their presence in capturing every precious moment--at the same time--it felt as if they were family sharing in our special day. Friendly, warm, kind--on time, professional and so very talented. They also were genuinely excited about capturing the images for "our" day. I remember passing by at one point and hearing Ryan tell Susan about a shot he caught on camera that he couldn't wait to take a closer look at when they got home. In the end--our video was a masterpiece and far beyond what we expected. So creative and an absolute TREASURE! We highly recommend "Moetic". We are over-the-moon about them. Every time you watch your wedding film--you'll feel like you're reliving your wedding day!

This review is much overdue; however, I can't say enough wonderful things about Moetic. Ryan & Brittany are not only amazing people - they are IMMENSELY talented! To be honest, if we had to plan our entire wedding day over again and only have one of the same vendors on board, it's without hesitation that we would book Moetic in a second. They provided us with the most special memories that can never again be recreated. Prior to seeing the edited film, my husband and parents were both on the fence about hiring videographers - after watching our film, they completely converted and admitted they were worth every penny. I absolutely LOVE Moetic Films. I hired them as my videographers for my wedding back in 2010. They did an amazing job capturing my wedding day. My husband and I had the honor and pleasure of working with Moetic Films on our wedding day. After viewing some films by Moetic Films, we instantly fell in love with their style of shooting, use of music, and cinematography. Ryan and Brittany took the time to meet with us to go over what we were looking for and they quickly understood the vision we had for the film. They were also so friendly and warm every step of the way. We put our trust in the Moetic team and they did not disappoint. When the Same-Day Edit film was presented at our reception, my husband and I were blown away and our guests were ridiculously impressed by the amazing film that was shot and edited on that very day. Each time we watch the film, we relive all the happiest moments of our big day that was so beautifully captured in the film. Moetic was amazing!! Having a videographer was very important to us and when I was researching different vendors, I found them all to be extremely cheesy. It felt like every short film was clips put to a cheesy love song. I remember stumbling upon Moetic and watching "Betsy & Ryan's" film. I immediately fell in love and ran to show Spenser. We were so impressed and begin watching all of their other films. They truly told the story of the couple in a very special and personal way. Every film evoked emotion without even knowing the couple. Beyond the amazing talent they have for putting a film together, they are great people. From our initial interaction, they wanted to take the time to get to know us as a couple. It didn't matter that we lived out of state as we were able to connect via Skype.They were extremely professional on our wedding day and when we received our wedding film weeks later it brought us to tears. I have received so many compliments and inquires about them and know that they will be filming so many of our friends weddings. They were 100% worth the investment and I am so happy we have such amazing documentation of our special day to watch for years to come. Moetic really went above and beyond and I highly recommend them!!

While planning for our wedding, my (then-fiancé, now) husband and I had contemplated a great deal on whether we wanted to hire a videographer. After doing some research, I came across Moetic Wedding Films. I was automatically captivated by their artistry and skills as storytellers. I could not help but to schedule an initial consultation with them. It became very evident to me after my first consultation with Ryan R. that I had no choice but to hire Moetic to capture our wedding day. Not only was he SUPER nice and flexible; he had a pretty wicked sense of humor. While I looked for him at our meeting place, the first thing he said to me was, "I'm the guy sitting in the middle and I'm... going bald." He was informative and supportive; he walked me through the entire process and I felt very confident from that point on. The only thing left to do was to convince my fiancé to jump onboard. I called him right away and we scheduled a subsequent meeting to meet with Ryan R. and Brittany. The meeting was very successful and we booked them almost immediately. The Moetic team went above and beyond on and AFTER our wedding day. Their timeliness, professionalism, and friendly attitude were pivotal in keeping us calm during one of the most nerve-racking days of our lives. We had been scheduled to take portraits and additional footage after our wedding, but the weather did not cooperate and it rained like cats and dogs. Moetic, along with our photographers graciously agreed to shoot all of the additional footage for us on another day, at NO ADDITIONAL COST! We were completely awed by their flexibility and generosity. Needless to say how much we LOVED our wedding trailer and video. We couldn't believe how they managed to capture our personalities and all the highlights of one day in a mere 7-minute trailer. Hiring them was one of the best decisions we made as a couple. We don't regret it for one second. We have recommended them to everyone we know and will continue to do so.

While I haven't seen our wedding video yet, judging from all the videos I have watched from Moetic there is no doubt in my mind that it will be amazing and capture all the unique details of our special day. Susan and Ryan were fantastic to work with. From our very first Skype meeting we just clicked and Susan felt like a close friend we had known for years. On our wedding day the two of them used their own vehicles to drive us around the venue for photo and video opportunities. Susan even let my bridesmaids borrow sunglasses for a couple photos. We were so comfortable around them that I forgot we were even being filmed. I would highly recommend brides to invest in wedding videography. The day goes by so fast that you feel like you hardly get to stop and take it all in. I felt okay about that because I knew I had a wonderful team capturing everything so that I could relive those moments as often as I want down the road. Thank you Moetic!!! We are so excited to see our film :)

We went back and forth about whether to invest in a videographer. Now that I've seen our video, I can't believe we ever questioned it. And we hired the best in the business, no doubt. Moetic is not just any wedding videographer- they are skillful artists who craft a film that captures the raw, emotional and powerful essence of a wedding day. Without any suggestions or tips from us, they managed to highlight our most favorite moments and sacred words in our ceremony. They caught the emotions, the facial expressions, the gestures and the energy of the day. They are SO good at what they do. And they're an absolutely pleasure to work with! They worked collaboratively with our photographer, were playful & fun with the wedding party & didnt miss a moment throughout the day.I just can't say enough. I love everything about Moetic! They are the nicest group of people you will ever meet in the wedding world. They really care and wants the best for their couple. I still remember meeting Ryan and Brittany for the first time before they left New York. It really felt like we were friends and chatting over coffee. I just remember them being super excited and full of energy.

The day of the wedding, you Never have to worry about them. In fact they do everything they can to take care of YOU. Not only they showed up extra early than requested, they were there walking around the venue to check out every corner to make sure they can get all the best shots. I had Ryan and Ryan for our wedding, but it really felt like they were our guests at the wedding. They are just super fun to work with, you can really get excited when they are just talking about the different ideas they have throughout the day.

I have to say every single person I've shown the video to have said that this was by far the BEST wedding film they have ever seen!! I can promise you will NOT be disappointed.
I really can’t thank them enough for making our dreams come true. It is perfect, it is everything we wanted and more! The film speak for itself, it was so easy, and absolutely the best experience!!! Do not hesitate to book them, it's worth every penny and make sure to book them in advance :)

Ryan and Brittany Rossman from Moetic: where do I start with my praises. First off, they are the nicest people ever. We ended up spending almost 6 hours with them on our "get to know each other" first meet up. With that said, you feel like they are friends and guests of your wedding more than anything else. They are so amiable, so likable and a pleasure to be around. My brother and in sister in law even fell in love with them! They blend in and are so polite - they dont take away a single moment from the special day.

In terms of their work you MUST GO WITH MOETIC. They turned our destination wedding in Anguilla into what felt like a small epic film. The panoramic views of the scenery are amazing, the time elapsed shots, the visuals are spectacular...they captured the spirit, the romance, the love and the magic of our wedding weekend perfectly. They made our wedding timeless. I especially love how they captured the feel and character of our guests and the emotions that were felt by all that night

I have to say every single person I've shown the video to have said that this was by far the best wedding video they have ever seen and I can vouch for that. You have to see the quality of the videos to really appreciate my review. You will not be sorry. Please pick them!

Ryan R, Ryan W, Susan, and Brittany were all present the day of my wedding. They were filming my wedding, but it really felt like they were our guests at the wedding. They blended in, casual but professional, had some great suggestions, and was so wonderful to work with, and did I say SO MUCH FUN?! I'm so happy they pulled us aside during our wedding to take shot. I was so preoccupied with everything else that was going on. We have not yet received our documentary film, but they did our Same Day Edit. When they showed our SDE, we were FLOORED! It was SO AMAZING, FABULOUS, BEAUTIFUL, INCREDIBLE... (I can go on..) Friends and family would not stop (still does not stop) talking about it! They really make every SDE they do unique to the couple. I know because I've been stalking their website over a year. I fell in love with their work, and even more so after I met them over skype. Once we placed our deposit, we sort of stopped talking to each other for the entire year because we all are busy, but Ryan R reached out to us 2 months before the wedding to make sure we were all on the same page. I didn't have to do anything! The great thing about them, is that you don't need to follow up with them. They update their facebook and website so I know they're constantly working and I see the different SDE they put out. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Moetic to all brides and grooms. I am so impressed with their talent. <3 you guys!

I was lucky enough to work with Moetic's New York team, Brittany and Ryan. What an amazing team - sweet, professional and lots of fun. What I loved about them was that they seemed to be everywhere and capture everything without being in the way or in anyone's face. I haven't received my video yet, but I am 100% confident that it will be better than I can expect. If you are looking to blow away your wedding guests and watch a wedding video that is more breathtaking art instead of cheese, go with Moetic. Videographers Ryan Welch and Ryan Rossman are artists in the truest sense of the word. They have an amazing ability to tell a story filled with warmth, humor and creativity. The best part is that aside from being super talented, they're also really cool people who meshed really well with our friends.

We stumbled on them (formally Vivid Films) about a year ago when we were debating between resorts in Cabo San Lucas. We Googled resort #1 and got a hit for "Emily + Dan's Cabo Azul Wedding." I can honestly say that it was the glorious video they created that sealed it for us. Moetic captured the joy and emotion very few can in a mere 3 minutes and 48 seconds. We were incredibly moved (he got misty eyed--always a great sign) and knew we had found our videographers.

One year later, the Ryans where there, quietly capturing moments we wondered how they'd stitch together. Two weeks after the wedding, while on our honeymoon, we got a link to our video teaser. It left us in tears and our guests in awe wondering how they had captured all those little moments. The teaser was so incredibly gorgeous and we're eagerly anticipating the final film.

No sales pitch is needed. Their work speaks for itself. Check out the videos on Moetic site--you'll probably spend hours watching other couples' films, laughing, crying and celebrating the biggest days of their lives.

Tips: Even though they're based out of Oregon, the team at Moetic travels extensively to cover destination weddings. LOCK THEM IN EARLY!! As of June, they are no longer available for 2011 weddings. They select 95% of the music for their films -- let them choose it, I guarantee you'll love it and have a new "our song" to add to the collection.

Ryan and SusanWelch from VIVID were wonderful! My husband and I had so much fun working with them and getting to know them. Our "same day edit" was beautiful and was/is still the talk of the town!!
No one has been able to stop talking about the great DVD played at my reception!!!

When my husband and I did our "couples interview", we decided it would be very special if we could have it at the house we just bought. The only problem was that our house is about 60 miles north of Eugene, OR. (where VIVID is located), but Ryan and Susan Welch were more than willing to drive up to our house. They are very TALENTED and WONDERFUL people, and I am so thankful they gave me something so wonderful to be able to watch for years and years to come!

My mom and I got into many fights before the wedding because I wanted VIVID to be my wedding videographers and even though I am who paid for the majority of my wedding, my mom thought it was way too much money to spend. She was constantly telling me "NO Alyssa, that is just way to much money and you could be spending it on something else!" I kept telling her how wonderful their work was and how I was convinced that VIVID had to be my wedding videographers!! The funniest thing is now that the wedding is over and my mom has seen the amazing work they did, I can actually say "I TOLD YOU SO!" :) My mom has never admitted to being wrong prior to her admitting she was wrong about what she said about VIVID!! It felt so good to hear her say those words! My mom has now shared VIVID's website with everyone she knows that did and didn't come to the wedding because she is so proud of the amazing work they did for our wedding!

Ryan and Susan were our videographers and they took incredible shots.

I am so glad that I decided to get a wedding video--it's fun to see us interacting with each other, laughing, and being ourselves.

They are so much fun to work with and I didn't even realize they were there for a lot of the scenes that they got, which was perfect because we were being ourselves. I would recommend Vivid Wedding Films to everyone! Get a wedding video! Otherwise you'll probably regret it.

When my fiancee initially suggested that we hire a videographer for our wedding, I was against the idea. I was imagining a 1-2 hour documentary that we'd never watch again. Then a friend of mine posted a link on Facebook to her 7-minute wedding film shot and edited by Moetic, and I was amazed. I was at their wedding, and the short very much captured the essence of the couple's relationship and the day's festivities. So pretty much on that basis alone, we hired Moetic. We very much enjoyed working with Ryan and Brittany, who were both warm and professional in our interactions with them beforehand, on the day of, and afterward. We were very happy with the way that our film turned out, and have watched it several times since (we've also watched the documentary-style video once all the way through). Our friends that were invited to the wedding but couldn't make it also remarked that seeing the video (a) made them wish they were there, but (b) made them feel like they were. Many people regard videography as an optional wedding element, usually for cost reasons. But if you're on the fence about videography and can afford it, check out some of Moetic's films and then hire them. You won't regret it!

The Same Day Edit was great and everyone thought it was the best part of our wedding. They were very professional and are very creative and talented, I really enjoyed working with them.

Truly Disappointed :(

I waited over two years to write a review - one, because it actually hurt me to describe our experience with Moetic, and two, because I wasn't interested in them trying to respond and "explain" in public their side of the story. To summarize our experience - we were extremely disappointed and wished we'd saved the 5k and spent it on something else. For the full story, read on.

One of the main reasons we went with Moetic was that their package offered a "chaptered" video which would allow us to see largely unedited portions of the day by selecting a "chapter" on a DVD - or at least that's how it was described to us. In fact, in our contract it said we would be provided a DVD for this purpose. Fast forward two years and DVD's became largely irrelevant (technology is bananas) but at the time, that is what we were promised.

Moetic was pretty professional and fairly responsible leading up to our big day. We worked primarily with Katie who was friendly and helpful and were able to iron out details on timing, when/where to be fairly seamlessly. The videographers were very nice, respectful, and seemed to be enjoying themselves while capturing some great moments, day of.

That is where things went downhill - quickly. Katie became non-responsive and while we were promised the video was mailed four months after our wedding, after several follow up emails, we finally got it about six months after the wedding. We were disappointed that we received a thumb drive that would not play on our PC's and when we were finally able to play it, after downloading lots of software, what we had was an hour and twenty minute non-chaptered film with odd music coming in and out and strange cuts from different parts of the day. Volume was uncontrolled and odd and overall it was really disappointing. Not only that but we couldn't even play it on our TV since we didn't have an AppleTV and it wouldn't play on our Roku. We let Katie know and she promised us an updated edited video and chaptered DVD in short order. Three months later (nearly nine months after our wedding) she was unable to create a DVD and instead sent us an AppleTV and a new edit. The AppleTV was a nice touch and we appreciated the gesture, however the new edit was largely the same, and still un-chaptered (even using the Apple TV).

At this point we sort of threw our hands up. It wasn't until we were watching through the entire film a few months later that we realized the strange noises we were hearing was actually a voice saying (almost whispering)"premium beats dot com" over the music being used in the video. Well we went to visit preamiumbeats.com and realized THEY WERE USING FREE UNAUTHORIZED MUSIC in a wedding video we had payed over 5k for. Truly unbelievable.

I can't describe how disappointed we were to have never gotten the chaptered video and to have to watch our wedding with annoying voice overs since the company we diligently sought out and had high hopes for were too cheap to pay the clearances on their own background music. So incredibly frustrating.

There are lots of good videographers in the Portland area - we suggest seeking them out over Moetic.
