Perfection!
This was my first time getting my makeup professionally done. I didn't know what to expect and I was also nervous about how I would look. I didn't want to look overly done as I only do minimal makeup on myself. Not only did Dyneisha, listen and adjust to everything I asked for to a T. The quality and perfectionism that she put into my look I am still blown away when I look back on my wedding day. I am so thankful to her for creating such a natural, yet stunning look! It lasted all throughout the night without any touchups and the photos turned out so beautifully.
I'm so glad that I did a consultation because I was able to see what style I liked and was able to tweak the look to my desire. On the wedding day, she went right to work and did my face without any mistakes. I know I couldn't have done it without her. Perfect Wedding Day Look
You wedding day is one of the most special days of your life, and all brides want their day to be perfect. The way the bride looks and feels on her wedding day is such a big part of the overall feeling. On my special day, I wanted a look that was classy, elegant, but also looked natural. I wanted to look like myself, but with that extra flow. Modernly Beautiful delivered. Dyneisha was my makeup artist, and she was such a pleasure to work with and was able to give me the look I wanted. She worked with the photographer, to make sure the makeup was perfect for our pictures, provided time for a consultation, made suggestions, and it all turned out beautifully. Amazing service and fantastic staff. My whole bridal party felt pampered and had so much fun. 2-3 of the gals had initially declined, and I'm so glad I kept them in the numbers because once they met the team and saw the results from the other party members, even the most skeptical went from "only gloss" to "dramatic eye and lashes." I have naturally curly hair and one of the reasons I picked Dyneisha's team was their portfolio which included natural curls. I cried every previous time I got my hair done by someone who obv didn't know how to work with 3c. They were a dream come true, I felt beautiful and I felt like I looked like myself, with more glam.

I’ve never looked better!
I worked with Modernly Beautiful for my wedding makeup. On a regular basis, I only wear eyeliner and mascara. So it was important to me to find someone who could make me look special while still looking like me. Modernly Beautiful asked for a lot of information about my desired look and worked with me during two trials to make sure I got exactly what I wanted (a soft glam look). On my wedding day, Modernly Beautiful did my hair and makeup and did my sister’s makeup. We both got so many compliments from our family and friends about how amazing we looked! Looking back at pictures from my wedding day, I can say with confidence that I have never looked better! Thank you for helping me feel special, pampered and beautiful on my wedding day!

I was so lucky to have Modernly Beautiful do hair and makeup at my wedding. From the first time I reached out to the check in email I received after the wedding, Dyneisha was always very responsive and easy to communicate with. They nailed my vision during the trial and made great suggestions without being pushy. (You too probably want the falsies). Day of the wedding Dyneisha and Evelyn went above and beyond. Keeping everyone calm, helping with double sided tape issues, making sure everyone left with the right shoes and flowers... etc. Did I mention they also did a great job on hair and makeup? I felt beautiful and confident! My wedding party had a mix of ages, skin tones, skin textures, hair types, and everyone looked amazing. I highly recommend Modernly Beautiful!

Beautiful hair & makeup, and behind the scenes!
Dyneisha and her hair stylist came for a beautiful trial. They wore masks the whole time and were friendly/fun! On day of, the original hair stylist had an emergency so she brought another stylist. This was ALL behind the scenes and I had no idea till that day. This was perfect, because I trusted Dyneisha and she took pictures and notes from the trial that the new stylist picked up SEAMLESSLY and my hair was gorgeous. Dyneisha and her hair stylist even did hair and makeup for my mom, sister, and cousin beautifully with no trial because I requested this a WEEK before the wedding! I felt bad for the late ask, but she didn’t bat an eye and did a phenomenal job and we had time to spare. Such a pleasure and very accommodating!!

A True Queen of her craft!
I met Dyneisha through my planner. We talked mostly through email, she answers promptly and with detailed information regarding what you can expect from her. She sent me a link to fill out about my skin condition and the look I wanted for my big day. Within the next month, I booked my makeup trial and she was able to come to my home (which I love when people come to me) with her hairstylist Evelyn. They arrived on time and immediately began to set up their stations and lights. Dyneisha and Evelyn are both very lovely ladies who were easy to talk to so the service felt like I had some girlfriends over. It went by very quickly and when I opened my eyes I almost busted into tears, my look was perfect! So I knew I had to have her team for my big day.
On the Wedding Day,
I showed up to my bridal suite and her whole team was ready waiting for us, they had the mood going with music and welcomed us with opening arms. She gave us the proper direction on who was going to do what and worked with each of my bridesmaids. We were all finished on time and Dyneisha made sure that I had everything I needed for the rest of the evening with a cool makeup kit! I love the whole team sorry I can't remember all of your names! They are such a professional team and Dyneisha knows everything about makeup! I look forward to working with them again.

I could not have imagined my bridal makeup being done by anyone other than Dyneisha. I had Dyneisha handle my makeup for my traditional engagement and my wedding and not only did she deliver on both, she completely exceeded all my expectations. I did not give her any ideas as to how I wanted my makeup as I had no clue but she somehow knew exactly want I would love based on our conversations. I mostly loved that myself and my girls although glammed up still looked like ourselves. Hands down Dyneisha is an excellent and professional. make up artist that knows her craft. Lets start with inital consult and run through, she eased my mind and helped me figure out a look for me. For a person that doesn't wear make up I was a little scared I was going to have a clown face. Nope not at all with Dyneisha, she glammed me up and made me look and feel special for my wedding day.
She gave me product suggestion and face care to do prior to wedding so that my face will take the makeup and I'll look my best the day of. I am still to this day taking care of my face as she suggested. The day of she immediate notice a difference and the make up was applied flawless.
The day of Dyneisha and her assistance was amazing. They were like a tag team. :-) Two of my bridal party was late and they were able to get them together in a short period of time. They went above and beyond to ensure we all were together to walk out. She even made suggestions and jumped in to make sure I was comfortable and ready to walk out.
I would definitely use her again for any future makeup needs.
I highly recommend her you will not bee disappointed. She knows what she is doing.

My vision came to life
Dyneisha and Dani were everything! From
the moment I contacted Dyneisha she was very responsive and worked with my schedule to setup a consultation. I was able to setup my consultation the morning of my engagement photo session and the engagement photo look turned out amazing. Even after my consultation I had contacted her to let her know I wanted a more natural look for the day of the wedding and she didn’t miss a beat, she took down the comments I had and worked with me. On the morning of my wedding I was a bit stressed and she made me feel super comfortable and calmed me down, which I truly appreciated. Dani, the hairstylist was also great and accommodating. I added a couple people last minute and she was able to work with me, even came a little earlier then originally scheduled to fit everyone in. Flawless In Every Way
Dyneisha is incredible to work with! Just from the initial contact through Wedding Wire's website, I knew I was going to like her. She's amazingly responsive, very professional, and a lot of fun! She spent the entire morning of my wedding with my bridesmaids, mother, and I. You honestly would think she was part of the family! She fit right in with us and kept the mood light, jovial, and special. There are so many nerves on your big day, so having a calm and kind spirit like Dyneisha's around is so welcome!
I also don't wear makeup usually and expressed a desire to look mostly natural. Dyneisha heard my concerns during my trial and made sure I didn't look too made up on my wedding day. My makeup lasted the entire night - even after the groom smashed cake in my face!
Dyneisha is also the sweetest person ever! Examples of this include the fact that on my wedding day, one of my sisters had recently had eye surgery and could not get her makeup fully done as she'd wanted. Dyneisha still made her look incredible for the wedding day; but also offered to do her makeup again once her eyes were healed, so she could have a full face beat - at no charge! It was such a kind gesture and my sister went to Dyneisha months later and got made up flawlessly!
Another example is that I ended up having to use a recommendation from Dyneisha for my hair, as my original hairdresser fell through. Dyneisha called in the hair heroes and made sure I didn't have to worry on my wedding day! Her local connections are great to work with, as well!
I could go on and on and on about how wonderful it is to work with Dyneisha for your makeup needs; but I'll just finish by saying - book her! It's worth it!

The best I could have asked for
Dyneisha set up a hair and makeup team that handled pale Irish to dark skinned ladies (and every shade in between) with hair that ranged from loose waves to tight curls to dreadlocks without missing a beat. Everyone not only looked amazing, but felt amazing. Our hair and makeup lasted through laughs, tears, & dancing without us having to use my extensive touch-up kit. All I had to do was refresh my lip gloss. I cannot recommend her enough.

Hiring Modernly Beautiful was one the best decisions I could have made for my wedding day. Dyneisha was wonderful to work with. She was very responsive and open to questions. Her pricing was reasonable. I met her for my wedding trial session and she put me totally at ease. I only gave her a few guidelines and she totally exceeded my expectations. On the day of the wedding Dyneisha did not even have to contact me. When I arrived to our get ready location she was already working away with zero concerns. She was kind and worked through my entire bridal party with little to no breaks. Her assistant was also very skilled. Everyone in my bridal party was very very happy with their makeup. It’s such a big part of the day. You want to look your absolute best and for me the makeup really helped me take my look to the next level. I met Dyneisha almost three years ago when my sister hired her to do her wedding day makeup. Since then, Dyneisha has truly become a part of our family - doing my mom, sister and my makeup for all of our special events. So where do I even begin. First off, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Dyneisha from Modernly Beautiful Makeup!!!! She is so amazing!!! On time and very professional. She is really good at making you feel so comfortable with stepping out of your comfort zone and try new things but at the same time, respects what you want with your makeup and does not try to force you to do anything you do not want to do. Words can not describe how GORGEOUS my makeup was for my big day. Everyone complimented my bridesmaids, my mom, mother-in-law and I about how natural but still "beat" our makeup looked for the day. I showed her a couple photos of the style I liked for my wedding makeup, and she understood what I was looking for and put together a great look for me at our trial - conveniently at my house. We paused along the way to check out my preferences on level of shimmer, darkness of eye shadow, thickness of liner, etc. She took the time to make sure we got it right, and was extremely thorough and detail oriented. (I still don't understand all the various steps of application, but I could appreciate the outcome and have a new found appreciation for the term "makeup artist"!) She was punctual and responsive to emails. The day of went smoothly and I felt like I had picture ready makeup while still looking like myself. Thanks Dyneisha!

My wedding was the first time I ever had anyone do my makeup professionally so I was already nervous as it was getting it done. Dyneisha did such an excellent job! With everything going on that day I was already stressed out as it was, but she was very patient with me and helped me keep a cool head while getting ready. Dyneisha did a FANTASTIC job! I was so amazed with her make up ability. She is certainly a professional. She was timely and very good with feedback. She provided me an entire emergency kit that I didn't even have to touch because her make up was so flawless. She prepped me for a very hot and humid wedding day. She put something on my face so that my face would not sweat and believe it or not my face NEVER shed a drop of sweat! Everyone else was sweating, but not the bride! I got so many compliments about my make up and my hair as well. Dyneisha worked great with her hair lady Danielle. They were super kind and flexible with different styles as I changed my mind throughout the process. I HIGHLY recommend Dy! Dyneisha was everything and more I could have asked for. Planning a wedding in MD all the way from Austin, TX was stressful enough. Dyneisha was able to work with me regardless of distance. She also sent me pictures beforehand to get an idea of the look I wanted. She made me feel super comfortable, and I was confident in booking her after our consult.
Flash forward to the day of the wedding, and she was my superhero. I was having a very stressful morning, as most brides do. Dyneisha was able to still keep me and my girls on track for makeup, as well as keep me focused. By the time it was my turn in her chair and everything that could go wrong was, she opted to play an ocean breeze soundtrack on her phone and instructed me to listen to nothing else but the waves. I took some deep breaths, leaned back, and let her do her magic.
I was a beautiful bride with amazing makeup. She even dabbed away my tears during mini-meltdowns. As a bonus, she had a touchup kit ready for later in the day! I cannot thank Dyneisha enough for her role in making my wedding absolutely perfect.

This was an amazing experience. DF did my make up for a photo shot and I feel in love with her work. I asked a month later could she do my makeup for my wedding. Not only did she say yes, but she was at my home at 6am. I don't know about many other MUA, but I doubt if I would have been able to get someone that early and to be that professional. Dyneisha did an excellent job on the wedding makeup for me (the bride) and my Maid Of Honor. My MOH and I have different skin tones, eye color and hair color. I appreciate that Dyneisha took the time to craft really beautiful yet different looks for us. I don't really wear much makeup. I might put on foundation a dozen times a year. So, I appreciated that I still looked like me - glamorous me with eyes that popped and a beautiful wine lip- on my wedding day.
Dyneisha is also incredibly professional and personable. She explained everything she was going to do and how certain techniques/makeup would look on camera. She solicited my preferences and spoke to me to get a feel for what I wanted. Getting my makeup done was a no stress wedding day task and absolutely worth the (very reasonable) cost.

From the jump she kept me at ease. I had a MUA lined up but had bailed two months out of my wedding and Dyneisha stepped in willing to help me out! When I sat for my consultation/trial run, it was like we were old pals- she made me feel very comfortable, which made me feel okay about really verbalizing my wants.
Day of the wedding, her and her assistant came ready to do work! I was thoroughly impressed. They were both so funny and I think all my bridesmaids, my mother, and now mother-in-law had a good time getting done up by them. And their talents were awesome (which I wasn't really surprised about because Dyneisha's portfolio speaks for itself!). They did up from light Caucasian to golden Latino to beautiful chocolate and ebony skin tones- everyone looked absolutely amazing! Talk about versatility!
But for real, most importantly, I. LOOKED. ABSOLUTELY. STUNNING!!! I've never felt so beautiful. My wedding day ended up having a major hiccup, but my makeup stayed flawless. There's a clip my brother captured where I just stopped dead in my tracks after catching my reflection and said "damn I look good!"- and ladies, when you look great, you feel great, and I think at the end of the day, major hiccup and all, I still felt awesome because I looked amazing and was marrying my best friend.
But I digress... just book Dyneisha now. I don't even know what you're waiting for!
PS- she gives you an awesome touch up kit (even some goodies to help varying skintones of your bridal party) but I swear my makeup was so flawless every moment of the 12hour day, I didn't even use it!

Professional pictures ALWAYS look better when you are wearing makeup! I asked Dy for a look that would enhance my natural beauty. She definitely delivered in a big way! You will not be disappointed with Dyneisha for your makeup needs. She was very professional, punctual, courteous, accommodating, flexible and in tune with the needs of each of the clients in my wedding party (8 women with different skin types and skin care regimens ranging from youth to senior skin). I felt just as beautiful as I envisioned for my wedding day. If I asked to change or add something, she did it with a smile and really cared about my satisfaction. I don't usually wear makeup on a daily basis and when she applied it, the makeup did not feel heavy. It was light and lasted the entire evening with just minor lipstick touch ups needed. Another great thing to note is that her instruments were very clean/disinfected, before and in between uses with each client, which was important for me. She also took great pride in listening to the needs of each client and making them feel beautiful and not overdone with the makeup application. Also, she was quick. I highly recommend Dyneisha! It was in the early weeks of September, or probably August of 2015 that I contacted Dyneisha to do my make up for a friend’s wedding. She was gentle, kind, and courteous on the phone so much so that I couldn’t wait to see her in person. My siblings and I had so much fun with her on our first meeting that she even fixed my older sister’s makeup even though she didn’t book an appointment. Since this day, Dyneisha has done my makeup for my traditional wedding and church wedding, including my sisters. When things got a little crazy on my wedding day, Dyneisha quickly jumped in to calm me down and quickly became my hairstylist for a moment. My mom who rarely wears makeup loves her look whenever Dyneisha hooked her up. Even my aunt could not be more pleased at her daughters’ makeup for prom. Dyneisha is a wonderful person and my entire family loves her work. She is always on time and I promise you will love your look after she is done. One thing she always says is that “you are beautiful and I’m only enhancing that beauty”. My dad enjoys her company whenever she comes around and was more than happy to know she was my makeup artist for my wedding. I can seriously say she is our makeup artist for life and I wish I met her earlier. For anyone who wants Dyneisha’s services, I advise to book early since her schedule gets full pretty quickly (that tells you how good she is) but she might be able to accommodate some late requests. On May 21, 2016, I had the wedding of my dreams and Dyneshia played a MAJOR part in that happening. I found out about her through Weddingwire. I had went through 3 other make-up artists before I found her. I wanted the makeup for my wedding to look natural and the other make-up artists did not give me the look I wanted. But Dyneshia did!! Dy was so wonderful to work with. She was very knowledgeable of her art and was willing to share tips and tricks with me as she worked. She was meticulous in her work and very organized when it came to time management. For my event, Dy did my mother's and my own makeup. She completed our looks in a timely manner that worked around everything else that was going on that morning. I would rehire her and recommend her to anyone else in a heartbeat!

I cannot say enough good things about Dy. She is polite, professional and great at what she does. Dy was on time and ready to get started both for the trial and day of wedding makeup. Although her prices are lower than other MUA don't think that you will be getting a lower quality look, that's just one of the many perks!
You'd be silly not to hire Dyneshia from Modernly Beautiful. She is polite, professional and always on time. Dyneshia delivered on everything I asked for - and more. I could not have possibly been more pleased with how my wedding day makeup turned out. She switched it up a little bit from our trial and I LOVED it! Just because Dyneshia is more affordable than most MUA in the DC area, do not think that you will get less quality, it is just a perk!

Dy is amazing! She asked me a few questions as to what I wanted and then went to work. She is professional, knowledgeable, and down to earth. Her prices are the best I have seen! My wedding day was amazing, I received so many compliments on my make up. My face was beat!

Dyneisha was so great to work with leading up to my wedding, and on my actual wedding day. During my trial I was so busy working and trying to multitask, but she was patient and did her job flawlessly. On my wedding day, she arrived early with her second makeup artist, setup an "in-hotel-studio" and got through all six of my bridesmaids and myself. I wanted to look a bit more natural/like myself and she executed that look flawlessly. She's pleasant, efficient, provided a touch-up kit and was a joy to work with. I would highly recommend! Thank you for making me so beautiful! :)

Dyneisha is a complete professional when it comes to her providing her make-up services. In addition to that she is very flexible and makes every effort to listen to and understand exactly what her clients desire. I am always immensely pleased every time she does my make-up. Evidence of her skill is also seen in the many complements thst I receive from those around me.
She makesa point to use colors and products thst compliment your skin. Dyneisha did my make-up for my maternity shots as well as baby shower and I was completely satisfied. I can see myself working with her again and definitely recommend her to others!

Compliments galore!
After months of looking for someone who would give us the natural "glow" we desired, Dyneisha was referred by our event planner. She got back to me within a day and we were able to discuss the look, location, and time. I explained that my then soon-to-be wife and I would both need our makeup done and she replied "yes" with no hesitation.
The day of Dyneisha found our place easily and arrived a little before our start time to set up. Despite a small injury (on my part), she was able to get started right away and was completed with our makeup within two hours before we had to shuffle to the venue.
If you want someone reliable, affordable, inclusive, and skilled in the craft, book Dyneisha!

Dyneisha serviced myself (bride) my mom and one of my bridesmaids. We loved our makeup. I had my makeup on for well over 12 hours on my wedding day and even with my oily skin, sweating from dancing, and crying my make barely budged. I had no flashback in my pictures and my foundation matched me exactly. Dyneisha was very flexible and accommodating for my needs and prices were more than affordable. I would definitely recommend her and definitely plan to use her services again.
