Modern Luxe was absolutely incredible at our wedding. I'm literally dreaming up another party that I can hire them to perform at. They were sooooooo fantastic! I can't recommend this band enough; they are worth every penny. The members were amazing to work with from the moment we booked them until the very end of the wedding. Our dance floor was electric, and our guests still can't stop talking about THE band months later. Janelle and Ian took our vision and made it come to life. We had choreographed dances throughout the event, and the band sang our 1st dance song live while we did one of our choreographed dances to it. I'm sharing this to say that if you want something specific, creative, or different, they will work with you. The sheer amount of songs we were able to choose from was incredible. This band has such a diverse range of abilities, and they even learned a song we requested only a few weeks before the wedding. Modern Luxe truly made our wedding unforgettable. We would hire them over and over again. We can't recommend them enough! -

We worked with Modern Luxe for our wedding in January and had an amazing experience! Janelle, Ian, and the entire Modern Luxe team were professional to work with, very responsive, and made the wedding planning process so much fun! Modern Luxe has an amazing repertoire of music, which was what stood out from the beginning. They also learned a few songs we requested for our wedding reception which made the night even more special. Our guests were on the dance floor all night, and we had so many raving about how talented they are! Cannot recommend Modern Luxe enough! -

The Modern Luxe Show
It was truly an honor to be married at the Modern Luxe show. From my wife crowd surfing to me ending the night on stage singing Sugar We’re Going Down with James, the Modern Luxe band provided the greatest experience and was the main subject of most of our texts from and conversations with our guests following the big day. The talents of each and every member of Modern Luxe are something to behold. It would be remiss of me to not shoutout the sound and lights guys. Janelle absolutely crushed it on the bride/groom, wedding party, bridge/groom parent intros. If your bride and bridesmaids would like to sing Mr. Brightside or any other song on stage, enlist MODERN LUXE. Their ability to not only learn, but MASTER songs is remarkable. Their versatility is unmatched by any band I have ever seen at a wedding. We all know how stressful wedding planning can be- and Ian and the band’s timeliness/responsiveness to all inquiries was absolutely incredible and honestly refreshing. That was quite easily the best day of my life- and Modern Luxe was instrumental (no pun intended) in making that so. Here’s to looking for another reason to hire Modern Luxe!Modern Luxe's reply:

Modern Luxe absolutely nailed every song and made sure the night was as seamless as possible for our wedding. We really wanted to maximize our time on the dance floor just to hear them perform as much as possible. The only drawback is that time flew too fast with how many great songs they played, we didn’t want it to end!!! The sound, the quality, the creativity of the medleys all had the crowd raving and praising throughout the night and ever since! My wife and I cannot say enough great things about this band and the way they made the whole night a truly special and unforgettable one!!! Best part of the night!
Modern Luxe was amazing in every way. They’ve played at several of our friends’ weddings and we just knew we needed to have them at ours. Ian and Janelle’s communication and attention to detail was great throughout the entire process. They absolutely nailed our first dance song, and sent us several versions to make sure it was perfect. The band was by far the best part of the night and the dance floor was packed until it was over. All of our guests haven’t stopped raving about them!! -

Modern Luxe was the best addition to out September 2025 wedding! My husband and I knew immediately when we got engaged that we wanted a band for our wedding, we viewed over 20 bands and ultimately decided to go with Modern Luxe... this was one of our best wedding decisions! They are so easy to work with, extremely responsive, and make the planning process easy! We had them DJ during our ceremony, live musicians during our cocktail hour, and the full band for our reception; the music for the whole day was perfect! They kept the dance floor packed all night and we have received countless compliments and requests for the name of our band. We would highly recommend going with Modern Luxe for your wedding or event! -

Ian, Janelle, and the entire Modern Luxe Band - they all are amazing and we can't recommend them enough! They were an absolute dream to work with, playing all the songs we love and even learning three new ones just for us. They had everyone dancing from start to finish, which was exactly what we wanted. On top of their incredible talent, they are genuinely nice people. We had a few venue changes throughout the process, and they were so flexible, accommodating, and easy-going. Their positive attitude and professionalism made everything stress-free. If you’re looking for a band that will bring the energy, play your favorite songs, and create unforgettable memories, this is the one. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Modern Luxe exceeded all of our expectations! Ian and Janelle were great to work with and responded to every question we asked promptly. They have extensive expertise and we took ALL of their guidance for our wedding. The way Modern Luxe is able to switch between genres of music is truly amazing. We requested a unique set list (rap, pop, country, alt rock) and their ability to cover all of it was perfect.
Talking to our guests after the wedding, the big take away was "the band was incredible, we can't believe everyone was on the dance floor all night". -

We had Modern Luxe play at our wedding and they were absolutely AMAZING! Ryan and my number one focus for the wedding was to have a fun, packed dance floor and Modern Luxe accomplished that.
From start to finish, they were so easy and chill to work with, which made the planning process stress-free. They happily accommodated our request for a fun (and slightly unconventional) rendition of Mr. Brightside to close out the night, and it was PERFECT.
The band sounded incredible live - playing hit after hit, bringing nonstop energy, and hitting the perfect mix of wedding classics with our favorite requests. The dance floor was packed all night, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about them both during the wedding and in the days afterwards.
If you’re considering Modern Luxe for your wedding, do it!! They’re 1000000/10 and truly made our night so fun. -

Modern Luxe was such a hit at my wedding! Everything went perfect from the music to the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception! They definitely brought the energy at the reception! My brother is also a professional drummer and Modern Luxe let him play one song with the rest of the band on the drums after I gave them my permission. This was the HIGHLIGHT of my wedding and I was so so happy they agreed to let my brother play. They also made sure my brother was an actual professional before he got on stage (rightfully so). Would recommend this band to any family or friend playing a wedding! -

Modern Luxe performed during our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and absolutely KILLED it in every way! Before the big day, they were very responsive, met virtually with us twice to answer our questions/offer timeline advice. On wedding day, they brought/set up their own stage and super cool light show, which was the most affordable and easy option compared to others. They then single-handedly made our reception everything we dreamed of and more! They knocked the 3 new songs they learned for us out of the park - accommodating big and small lyric changes we had requested. Every single guest was blown away by their energy, talent, and fun set list all night... they put the vibe on POOOINT. Modern Luxe was the best part of our day and is the best out there!!! -

Modern Luxe performed at our wedding at Tyler Arboretum a few weeks ago, and they were AMAZING! We got so many compliments from our guests, including several people saying "this is the best band I've ever seen"! A few even mentioned that it felt like a concert in the best way!
All of the music--from the ceremony, to the reception, to the songs they learned especially for us--were simply perfect, and set the tone for a fabulous night. They are all incredibly talented and professional, and the band managers (Janelle and Ian) were so lovely to work with throughout the wedding-planning process. We are so grateful that they could make our special day so memorable! -

We cannot say enough amazing things about Modern Luxe. They were easily the best decision we made for our wedding. They were professional, detailed, and easy to work with throughout the planning process. They learned songs outside their list for our dances, provided a recording of our first dance song before the wedding, and even offered guidance on a memorial dance that created such a special family memory. Ian and Janelle were very organized and experienced as emcees, which put us at ease for bridal party introductions, toasts, and formal dances.
Modern Luxe's talent is truly unmatched. The energy they brought to our reception was electric. They read the crowd perfectly and kept the dance floor packed all night. They blended classics, crowd-pleasers, and some of our favorites into the setlist. Guests are still raving about them weeks later.

This review won’t do it justice for just how UNBELIEVEABLE Modern Luxe Band is!!! We’re not exaggerating that they truly made our wedding the success that it was! Our guests will not stop talking about how incredible they were! Whether you want the classic wedding songs or more modern music, they will do it all and offer a huge range of options! They are interactive, versatile and bring awesome vibes that kept the dance floor packed and energized all night long! They even let us on stage with them to sing some of our favorite songs which got our guests so excited! We appreciated the options of adding on musicians too such as a saxophone and they also handled our music/emcee needs for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception which made the night so seamless! Not only are they insanely talented musicians/singers, they are also the nicest, most down to earth and easiest people to work with (special shoutout to Ian & Janelle!). They were highly professional, organized, responsive and helpful. They got us excited throughout the entire process and truly made sure we had the wedding of our dreams! Amazing band!!!
Modern Luxe was the best part of our wedding! We had such a good feeling about them simply from their online content that we booked them without seeing them in person- and it definitely paid off! They are an incredible band and are so easy to work with. So professional and we only had to meet with Ian & Janelle once for them to get every detail 100% correct. Our ceremony song selections were better than imagined, cocktail hour music was great, and the reception was a party from start to finish. We had guests approaching us all night asking us where we found such an amazing band. We can't recommend Modern Luxe enough - definitely book them for your day!Modern Luxe's reply:

We had the pleasure of having Modern Luxe perform at our wedding on 11/16/24 and could not have been happier! The entire band is amazingly talented, kind, and so easy to work with. We chose them because of their wide variety of songs they play and of course, how talented and high energy they are. As an example about their range, we had songs at our wedding from Britney Spears to Rage Against the Machine and they even let my now husband(!) get up and sing with them and had him crowd surfing! :) There was truly a wide variety for songs for all of our wedding guests to enjoy. We have not stopped receiving compliments from guests about how much fun they had singing and dancing at our wedding and I keep watching videos to re-live what a great time we had. If you have the option to hire Modern Luxe for your wedding or event, DO IT!!!!! Truly the best and I will be recommending them to all of my friends and family for any future events. It's hard to even capture how grateful my husband and I are that we booked Modern Luxe for our wedding in Annapolis, Maryland. We didn't have a chance to see them live before booking, but saw some very promising Youtube videos and decided to take a chance. And we are SO HAPPY we did! From day one, they were extremely kind, accommodating, flexible, and professional.
Now for the music itself... WOW! They flawlessly executed songs from all different styles and kept our dance floor PACKED the whole night. Our wedding had a mix of friends and family of all different ages and cultures (with several relatives visiting from outside the country). We told them we wanted to go for songs that everyone would know and love, and Modern Luxe nailed it!! So many people came up to us during the wedding saying they had never danced so much at an event, and that it felt like they were at a concert. I think three different couples who attended asked us for Modern Luxe's contact information to try to book them for their next event. They brought so much joy and energy to our wedding day and we truly can't recommend them enough. Thank you to the whole band for being amazing, and a special shoutout to Ian and Janelle for being an absolute pleasure to work with.

My husband & I got married last Saturday night (9/21) at The Logan in Philadelphia & had the most amazing wedding ever thanks to Modern Luxe. I saw them back at an industry party years ago when they were “newer”, but they had us on the dance floor all night. As soon as I got engaged I knew I wanted to work with ECE - modern luxe specifically. My mom always told me that it’s the “people & the music” that make a wedding, so I knew securing the best band was my #1 priority after booking our venue & we 1000000% made the right decision going with modern luxe. Our guests are still raving about our wedding & so many have told us it “was the best band they’ve ever heard at a wedding”. Everyone was on their feet all night long! If I could go back & do it all over again I would choose modern luxe over and over again. Stop searching & just go with Modern Luxe - promise it will be the best decision you make. 🤩 -

We have nothing but the highest praises to sing for this amazing band. We booked them for our September wedding and had the wedding of our dreams that could have doubled as a concert. Their musical talent speaks for itself in any of the videos you can find of them online, but you have to see them in person to fully appreciate the incredible environment they make for their shows. They have a vast amount of songs, both old and new on their song list to select from and they will also learn a certain number of new songs for you as well if they don’t already know how to play them. Our music selection included a wide spectrum of genres from polka to rock and even some 90s and early 2000s crowd favorites. They were extremely easy to work with and very professional in terms of communication and accessibility. We had 2 zoom meetings with them prior to the wedding to go over the wedding day itinerary and provided us with great recommendations based on things they had seen at other weddings as well! Overall, we couldn’t have been happier with our choice of band and our friends and family are all still talking about how amazing they were weeks after the wedding! -

Looking for a 10+ STAR band--if so--Modern Luxe is your group.
Modern Luxe played for my niece’s wedding two years ago and the dance floor was always full. I couldn’t wait to book them for my own daughter’s wedding. After we found the venue, the first contact we made was to Modern Luxe.
I had a comfort level from my first conversation with Ian and Janelle; I knew they would handle every detail.
They set the tone for the wedding with their positive energy and musical artistry. Even the clips they created for the parents' dances were perfect.
Each band member graciously shared his/her talents with the music, vocals, instruments, sound and light systems, etc. etc. They also went out of their way to assist with our after party karaoke.
If you’re fortunate enough to connect with Modern Luxe, you WILL be blown away. Modern Luxe exceeded all of our expectations and the guests are still talking about the fantastic band.

I cannot recommend Modern Luxe enough!!!! They were OUTSTANDING! Booking them was the best decision we made! Leading up to the wedding, Ian and Janelle were incredibly easy to work with. Book this band!!!! Every member of this band is insanely talented and I was so impressed by them all day. Throughout the day the music and timing of transitions, mcing, etc was spot on. Ian and Janelle were lovely to work with and so accommodating to our unique wedding day timeline and events. All of our guests raved about them and not only for the dance set but the cocktail hour jazz as well! And that was just the prep process--Modern Luxe's performance at our wedding was unmatched. Best Wedding Band in the Biz!
My husband and I searched for a wedding band for quite some time before we found Modern Luxe- we were looking for not just talent, but range, as we have somewhat of an eclectic taste in music. When we reached out to inquire with Modern Luxe, we were invited to attend one of their practices, so we could hear them live and ask questions- not only did we find this incredibly thoughtful, but it truly helped us to make the decision to hire them. When we came to the rehearsal, we were most struck by was the range of vocal styles they could accommodate- Kito and Janelle are the lead singers, and they are phenomenal. But Shawn, the guitarist, and Ian (pianist and co-owner) take the mic for certain songs and genres: Ian sang some pop-punk for us, and Shawn sang some country- each has a distinct sound perfectly suited to the music they perform, which wasn’t something we had come across. Additionally, they assured us that they don’t swap out their musicians- the band you see is the band you get—this is NOT the case for many wedding bands.
So, we hired them, and that was the best decision we made, by far. They absolutely killed it at our wedding—beyond our wildest dreams. We actually prefer their rendition of our wedding song over the original, because of how beautifully it was performed. To add to that, we noticed people dancing that I’ve never seen dance at a wedding! Our guests were having the best time, and my husband and I barely ate because we didn’t want to miss a song. We wish we could do it all over again, we had the time of our lives!
Not only is Modern Luxe beyond talented, but they’re the kindest people, who were so patient with our indecision and requests. They were responsive, detail-oriented, and professional at all times. This band is a rare find-there are a lot of subpar wedding bands out there, but the talent and the professionalism you’ll get with Modern Luxe is unmatched. You will not regret hiring them, and you will never stop getting compliments on what a kick-ass band you had at your event- we guarantee it! -

WOW! what can we say - 1000000/10!!!! Couldn’t have imagined a better experience. We are so happy we chose ModernLuxe. The communication was so easy, their guidance through wedding planning was so helpful, the quality of their performance was amazing, they went above & beyond for us throughout the entire process, and even after. They even were patient with us when we changed our first dance song and they had to re-learn and remix a variation of our request. The party was so fun, people who attended can not stop raving about the band and ML being the best wedding band they’ve ever seen! They played exactly what we wanted, read the room so well and the energy they have is unmatched! This was an awesome experience and we’d pick them again in a minute! The BEST Wedding Band!
WOW! The one thing everyone kept raving about at the brunch following our wedding was how good the band was, and we could not agree more! Modern Luxe was FANTASTIC! They were recommended by our wedding planner and we booked them with only listening to their YouTube page given scheduling conflicts (on on end since we live out of state; the band was very accommodating and even invited us to a private rehearsal but unfortunately work schedules did not align). Nevertheless, we completely lucked out and they sounded amazing! Ian and Janelle scheduled video calls ahead of time to review our preferences and customized the setlist to capture our tastes perfectly. We had a small wedding but the dance floor was packed the whole night! Everyone was very professional and they went above and beyond to learn our custom songs for our first dance and favorite tunes. We opted to add the horns and it was such a great addition. My sibling’s speech included a karaoke song from when we were kids, and Janelle pulled me on stage to sing the same song as a surprise! It was such a special moment, so thank you! We cannot recommend Modern Luxe enough! -

We saw Modern Luxe at a wedding in July of 2021, so when we got engaged in February 2022 and it came time to pick a band or DJ for our wedding- they were our first call! The most important thing to us for our wedding, besides marriage of course, was to have the dance floor filled the entire time. I can happily say it was!! It looked like a real concert! Our guests were out there dancing and singing the whole night and continue to rave about Modern Luxe 4 months later. They were interactive, so fun, and sounded amazing! Not only did they put on an epic show, but they were so easy to work and communicate with during the whole planning process. I have recommended them to anyone who will listen and I will continue to do so :) -

Modern Luxe played at our wedding and we cannot recommend them enough! Not only are they all incredibly talented but they were interactive with the crowd as well as very responsive and accommodating in the time leading up to the wedding day. They made coordination as smooth and stress-free as possible. We received so many compliments from our guests about how great they were and how much fun they had. Modern Luxe was the best decisions we made! They will make the whole room dance and bring such great energy to your wedding! I can't tell you how many compliments we received about our band and how incredible they were! They are extremely accommodating, will take the time to review music choices and even learn songs that aren’t on their list! They provide an incredible stage lighting unlike any others bands I have seen. They will also perform during your ceremony as well as cocktail hour. We didn’t want the night to end, and people were screaming for an encore! My husband and I even got on stage to sing at the end of the night – which was the highlight of my day! Modern Luxe is very easy to work with, both Ian and Janelle do a great job of sharing their experiences and offering insight into the wedding night. Modern Luxe has a great song list to pick from and they do a great job of working in songs everyone will want to hear. They also will learn a few songs if it is not on their list. Modern Luxe was one of the best choices we made for our wedding --- they are incredibly talented and really brought the energy to our dance floor, and we've been told by countless guests that they loved our band.
I stumbled across them during a YouTube deep-dive of local wedding bands and immediately told my now-husband I'd found the right band. We reached out in Sept 2021 and asked if there was any opportunity to see them live before we booked. They didn't have any upcoming live shows at the time but immediately invited us to stop by one of their rehearsals, where we were greeted warmly from the moment we arrived. They played a few songs by our request, though within 30 seconds we confirmed we were sold, and then were friendly enough to all sit and get to know us for a bit. They met with us again closer to our wedding date to confirm all of our song choices for the big moments, even enthusiastically agreeing to create a surprise mash-up of my dad's song choice and a childhood favorite of ours for our father-daughter dance.
On our actual wedding day, they were flawless from beginning to end. Their instrumental version of "Helpless" from Hamilton for my walk down the aisle instantly triggered tears. Our first dance and dance songs were perfect. Our dance floor was packed all evening, including friends and family who don't typically gravitate toward the dance floor, and we had an absolute blast. MLX even surprised us by bringing one of their singers who'd actually left the group since we'd booked because they remembered we'd felt drawn to him (though their new singer, James, is awesome, too!). You can tell that MLX really loves what they do and were genuinely invested in making sure our wedding was perfect.
We can only hope that one of our friends hires Modern Luxe for their own wedding someday. Until then, we will definitely be seeking them out at one of their public shows so we can relive our perfect night over and over. -

Modern Luxe band absolutely made our wedding night. They are the perfect mix of incredibly talented and down-to-earth and fun. Their rendition of our ceremony songs and first dance song blew me away, and they even sent us a recording beforehand to practice. So many guests came up to us at the after party to gush about how great the band was. We would give them 6 stars if we could. Modern Luxe was the most talked about part of our wedding. Modern Luxe was suggested to my husband and I from a friend who had attended a previous wedding the band performed at. Exact same reaction: AMAZING! We booked Modern Luxe for both ceremony and cocktail hour/reception services. Whether you want a mash up of movie music (which is what we did) for the ceremony or request a line dance in the middle of the reception, these folks can do it all. Their repertoire of music encompassed every genre of music. After the first video call with Ian and Janelle, it was apparent to us that we made a very wise decision. We were so excited Modern Luxe learned new songs for our wedding. They knocked it out of the park with “Danger Zone” and “I’m Still Standing”. Where will anyone find a band who can nail The Backstreet Boys song “I want it that way” and excite a crowd with an incredible Disney medley?
Modern Luxe is the definition of professional, fun, and flexible. They are experts in their musical talents and experts at crowd engagement. Their ability to read the crowd meant the energy of the reception never wavered. The crowd was still strong even at the announcement of the final song. All the guests raved about Modern Luxe.
Modern Luxe allows couples to customize the configuration of the band with additional horn players, saxophones players, and even an electric violinist. My husband and I did exactly that and the result was spectacular. Booking Modern Luxe for your event will be one of the wisest decision you will EVER make. We are SO happy we hired Modern Luxe for our wedding on 9/10/22. The entire process since we booked them was flawless. Janelle and Ian answered all our questions in a timely manner via email and we video chatted to get to know each other and run through our timeline. Their performance at our wedding was truly unforgettable. Our guests could not stop complimenting the band and asking how we found them. They kept our dance floor PACKED until 10pm when the reception ended. There were still 100+ people dancing when they announced time for a last song. They are amazing at reading the crowd and engaging with guests. Janelle sang a favorite song of mine and my college friends in a crowd with us and the band even invited me (bride) to come up and hold the guitar for a solo. We could not have asked for a more perfect reception and Modern Luxe had everything to do with it. Do not hesitate and book them!!!! We also added 2 horns and feel it made a huge difference. -

My husband and I were to 2 weddings that had Modern Luxe as the band. When we got engaged we basically decided our wedding date would be based on their availability! Not only are they BEYOND talented, they know how to get the party going and keep it going! I also love that they "MC" the event, but it's not your typical "long island" DJ vibe at ALL. I think every single guest at some point came up to me and told me how amazing the band was! HIGHLY recommend! This is only a suggestion for brides...they suggested extending cocktail hour, which I LOVED because who doesn't love cocktail hour ;) But I wish I asked them to start playing because we technically missed out on half hour of music! Don't hesitate, book Modern Luxe!

When we started planning our wedding, one of our top priorities was finding a really great band. Planning during a pandemic made that a challenge since there weren't many opportunities to see bands perform live before booking. We found Modern Luxe through one of the wedding websites, and after watching their demo video on YouTube, we knew they were our band! Ian, Janelle and the whole crew far exceeded our expectations. They took the time to meet with us virtually, helped us create a timeline, learned our *very unique* first dance song, and provided an incredible performance on our wedding day. We have received so many compliments from our guests and even people who weren't at our wedding have asked "who was your band?!". I would 100% recommend Modern Luxe to anyone looking for the BEST band for your wedding or event. -

We had seen them at our friends wedding and the following morning I reached out in hopes that they were available for our own!
