  Ellie was my day of coordinator for my wedding 10/07/2023

  I cannot recommend Modern Love Events enough! The whole team is so professional, timely, and organized. They genuinely cared about my wedding day and wanted to do anything in their power to make it the best day ever for me and my husband. Special shoutout to Ellie who made the entire day run so flawlessly!! She helped keep the vendors in the know, and helped with the timeline of the day.

  Amazing!

  We hired ML for our 9/9 wedding. Everyone we spoke to was amazing and so helpful. Lillie was our day of coordinator and she was AMAZING. Truly don't think our day would have been the same without her. All my family raved about her. She went above and beyond on every level. If you are considering hiring a coordinator- DO IT!!! Truly was a weight lifted of my shoulders. You guys are awesome!!! I truly can’t say enough good things ❤️

  Amazing Day Of Coordination

  Erika and her team went far above and beyond. When my videographer was a no show, she had another in place and filming and for the same amount I paid the no show and I never knew until much later! Her team was amazing and the day went flawlessly, only because of them.

  Beyond Amazing

  Erika and her team have been amazing over the years to work with! As a wedding photographer myself, I’ve seen her truly go above and beyond for her couples (like finding a new DJ less than an hour before the ceremony begins!!)
  
  She has impressed me so much at the weddings we have worked together, we even hired her as the wedding planner for my personal wedding! She did quarterly check ins, explained every step of her process wonderfully and was truly a joy to work with. Even as a wedding professional, my wedding would not have been so organized, perfect and dream worthy without Erika’s help. I highly recommend her and her team to anyone for any event!

  Fantastic Coordinator

  Erika was our Day-of Coordinator and assisted prior to the wedding with our Day-of timeline. We had a couple very helpful phone/zoom meetings with her prior to the wedding that helped us clarify details and plan accordingly. She was extremely helpful during the rehearsal with getting everyone aware of where they needed to be and when, and working with our DJ to have the ceremony timing perfect. During wedding day she was helpful all over the place with the wedding party, the vendors, and even the guests. She helped make the day flow seamlessly and we are so grateful for the role that she played in our big day! We couldn't recommend Erika Leak Events more!

  Wedding and reception

  I could not have been happier with my experience with Erika! She was amazing. As mother of the bride I wanted to enjoy the day and Erika made that possible. I worried about nothing! She went above and beyond in my opinion. She was in touch with all the vendors and kept things all running smoothly. I truly felt like everyone seemed like family when it was over. Love her!

  Erika is the most impressive event planners
  I have seen. As an event owner I see so
  many planners. She goes over and above
  for her clients and is so respectful of venue
  rules. She is number one on my list of
  vendors. If you are looking for someone that
  will make your day extra special that runs

  Erika and her team helped make our special day absolutely perfect! She handled everything, and I knew I didn’t need to worry. We truly got to just enjoy the day, and so did our families. I honestly cannot recommend her and her tea enough! I also got several compliments from friends and family at and after the wedding about how great she was!

  Nothing short of perfect!

  Erika and her team were not only our officiant, but we rented a gorgeous donut was and they coordinated our day. They were both so kind and patient with my kids who were less than cooperative at times and made sure everything went according to plan. She was so easy to communicate with and put any concerns I had about my day, at ease. I only wished I had her throughout the whole process and not just day of!

  Erika made our wedding day perfect!

  Erika was amazing! She was hands down the reason our wedding day went as smoothly as it did. Anything I needed - Erika made sure it was taken care of. She handled all the behind-the-scenes stuff: made sure all the vendors knew where to be, helped decorate, etc. If you’re debating on getting a wedding coordinator, do it. It is worth every penny and I promise, you won’t be disappointed if you let Erika help plan and coordinate your wedding! If I ever plan another event I will definitely be hiring Erika to help plan and coordinate!

  Erika is incredible! So kind and helpful and easy to get in touch with when I need something. She’s organized and willing to jump in anytime she’s needed. I’d recommend her to anyone needing help planning or on the day of!

  Disappointing when it really counted…

  Let me first say that the Erika we experienced during the planning process was not the same Erika we experienced on our actual wedding day. She was proactive and responsive during the entire planning process. However, we were completely unimpressed by every aspect of her services on our wedding day. The day where it really mattered the most. As the night went on it just became more and more apparent how unprofessional and unprepared she was.
  
  She arrived late with multiple different excuses being given to multiple different people. At any given moment she was unaware as to what was next and what needed to happen in the meantime. There were subtle details that I specifically noticed that should have been common sense and yet they went unnoticed by her and were fixed by others or not at all. These included: The flowers looked so cheap and their boutonnières were terribly constructed. I resorted to putting them in their pockets to hide the tacky ribbon. Our bouquets looked okay but again the wrap was awful. The table runners were completely lackluster. We paid a decent amount to her for flowers and she didn’t deliver the quality that we expected. The wire hanging from the neon sign in front of the backdrop looked trashy until a groomsman fixed it for me. The photobooth background was about 4 ft tall and when the groom asked her if it could be taller she didn’t fix it. He did. there was a large microphone stand in the center of our ceremony that kept us way far apart. Erika and I specifically talked about the desserts not going out until after dinner and they were set up upon arrival. The venue doors were left wide open when guests started to arrive rather than being closed off, and they walked all over the place even though I was supposed to be in there unseen. I could go on… but all of this, and to top it off she was dressed in a t-shirt and leggings. Knowing our dress code was cocktail attire I’d think that she could have at least dressed up a little bit more.
  
  I should have been able to turn to Erika with issues throughout the day and instead, knowing that she had dropped the ball from the get-go, I turned to our photographer, my bridesmaids, the DJ, and the groom to handle things. That is just completely unacceptable and made her irrelevant to our day. The only helpful thing she truly did that I can even point out is the cleanup. And even still the groom’s dad was sweeping the floor before we could leave.
  
  When these things were addressed with her she did not offer any explanation. Hardly any apology at all really. I will most certainly not be recommending you to anyone I know. This is unfortunate because we were really excited to have her be a part of our day.
