We LOVED working with Norah & Modern Love! From our first zoom call, Norah was incredible! She is fun and quirky and understood our music tastes and vibes right away. I loved the little welcome gift she sent us when we booked with her! I really appreciated the wedding timeline/schedule she laid out for us - it was really helpful to get a sense of how the day was going to flow. AND she lent us a projector so we could display some photos in the speakeasy at our venue -
On our actual wedding day, she couldn’t have been better! First of all, her dress was DARLING! Secondly, the music, the announcing, the responsiveness - all absolutely perfect. Two of my uncles are professional musicians and they both complimented Norah’s music, timing, and taste! Seriously - Norah is amazing. I can’t wait to get back to Chicago and hang out with her! -

Nora went above and beyond as our wedding DJ for our November 2025 celebration! From start to finish, she was absolutely incredible. She arrived early to our venue, brought all the equipment needed for our ceremony, and even worked with our officiant to make sure the sound and microphone setup were just right.
Nora made sure every “must-have” song on our list was included, and she went the extra mile to track down some lesser-known artists that were really special to us, including our first dance song, which meant the world.
Throughout the night, she read the room perfectly and matched the energy of our guests and our vibe flawlessly. The dance floor was never empty, and we’re still hearing from guests about how amazing Nora was and how perfect the music felt for every moment.
She was incredibly responsive, organized, and an absolute dream to work with from the moment we booked her. If you’re looking for a wedding DJ who truly cares, creates the perfect atmosphere, and goes the extra mile to make your day unforgettable, Nora with Modern Love DJ is the way to go! -

NORAH BRINGS THE PARTY!! When I tell you we didn't leave the dance floor all night, I mean we did not leave the dance floor all night. We missed our dessert table, skipped our grand exit photos, missed saying bye to a bunch of people because we were having so much fun. Norah understood the assignment and played all the right songs. She was very easy to work with and helped sculpt the soundtrack of our day. You will love her positive, up-beat attitude and she is an excellent resource for creating the timeline of your day. HIGHLY, HIGHLY Recommend Modern Love DJs for any event!!

We are so glad we had Norah from Modern DJs at our wedding! With 85 guests and both the ceremony and reception in the same space, she kept everything organized and flowing without a hitch. Her planning process made things so easy—she really listened to our must-plays, don’t-plays, and overall vision, and absolutely nailed it. Norah was a fantastic DJ! She did a fantastic job communicating with us beforehand, helping us find our vision for the reception, and absolutely killed it with the music! We had to move inside for the last hour at our venue, and Norah made that transition seamlessly, so the party kept right on going. Norah was extremely easy to work with and we came away thrilled we chose her as our DJ. She was extremely responsive.Her way of putting together the music list both made sure we had a ton of songs that we wanted to hear and also a healthy mix of crowd pleasers and good vibes that we didn’t have to think about. She got the vibe we were going for perfectly at dinner and on the dance floor. She was also very helpful in getting us to think through what kind of music we would want for the ceremony. Also, as someone very familiar with the industry, she had good advice for helping us navigate things with other vendors we were looking at and we appreciated her experience. The best part was we ended up with a dance floor that stayed full and happy until the last song played. -

From the start, her communication was clear, timely, and kind which is exactly what you want in a wedding vendor. On the day of, she nailed every detail: the setup was smooth, the mic check was seamless, and she kept the energy flowing all night long. The dance floor never emptied. I cannot speak highly enough about our experience with Norah at Modern Love DJs. She was incredible. From our very first intro call, we vibed. Norah is bubbly, kind, and thoughtful. She made sure she understood what we were looking for, was clear about what she provided, and offered suggestions about how we could tweak her services to make sure we got exactly what we needed. Norah had excellent follow-through and she followed up with us 6-8 weeks before our wedding to make sure all the details were covered. My family is Greek and Norah played two Greek dance songs that got everyone in the room to line dance - how fun! For the rest of the evening, we wanted an epic dance party and our dance floor was PACKED. We had so many people stay and dance until midnight. We had so many people come up to us during our wedding and / or text us afterwards about how much fun the party was and how much they loved our music. We would hire Norah again in a heartbeat. We loved working with her and would strongly recommend her to ANYONE looking for 1) a lovely human to work with 2) a dance party that doesn’t quit! -

My guests keep commenting on how GREAT the music was at our wedding and it's all thanks to DJ Norah from Modern Love DJs! DJ Norah was TRULY our best friend for our best day - with the energy, the MC skills, and the musical stylings that really enhanced our wedding. Norah took the time to get to know us, learning about our favorite bands and "key" songs. From there she truly made magic happen. We're the kind of couple that wanted The Talking Heads, The Smiths, Mountain Goats, The Decemberists... this was a piece of cake for Norah! She knew how to read the room and EXPERTLY achieved our desired vibe from pre-ceremony all the way till guests went home.
Norah was the first vendor we booked. Thanks to Norah's extensive experience in the industry, she went above and beyond and gave incredible recommendations when I mentioned needing to find vendors for other services. Our wedding was 100% a dream come true thanks to Norah.

After checking off credentials, reviews, etc., we booked a lot of our vendors off of vibes and interpersonal. connection, and with Norah (who came highly recommended and with tons of experience from highly, highly-rated Toast and Jam), we immediately knew we had the right person to DJ our wedding. It’s a beautiful thing to work with a vendor who doesn’t just care about doing a good job as a professional, but seems invested in your wedding being wonderful, magical, and important to you. Norah was warm, funny, cool (but not in an intimidating way), and deeply passionate about music (in which she has deep and excellent knowledge and taste). She was also just so darn nice. She felt like “our people.” We immediately liked her as a person and wanted her in charge of our party. We also really loved the idea of supporting an independent, women-owned business. We booked her shortly after our first Zoom call with her and remained thrilled with our decision throughout the process.
Ahead of the wedding, Norah was clear and organized and gave us a very doable timeline to send her must-plays and don’t-plays. She was flexible when we wanted more input in our dinner playlist and was very laid-back and supportive as we prepared everything we needed. We had some unique live music moments at our wedding, which she was beautifully supportive of, and (without our asking) she volunteered to bring extra little things to help out, such as extra music stands for our guitarists. My husband and his mom planned to do “The Twist” as their first song, but they only wanted to be out there alone for a short while. Norah gave us the great idea to have 20+ designated friends ready to charge the dance floor on her cue -- which they did, with bells on -- and then to segue into dancing for the night. That idea kicked off our dance floor with such high energy, love, and good vibes that stayed full all night.
At the DJ table, Norah is a beautiful blend of sweet, sassy, and a “warm demander” (as we say in teaching). She knew exactly how long the various transitions between activities would take and helped us plan a great schedule, which she executed with great DJ-side manner. My mom later called her “firm, but in a good way." Exactly what you need to get 120 tipsy guests seated from a cocktail hour!
The language she used was warm and personal. For instance, I surprised my dad with our father-daughter dance song choice. I had shared with Norah that my dad always used to sing the song to me and my mom in the kitchen growing up, and she sweetly re-told that story as an introduction to our dance as we went on the dance floor. My dad was moved to tears.
And then there was the dance floor. The dance floor! The first part of the night was 5/5 excellent, with crowd pleasers galore and a nice blend of genres and speeds -- something for everyone. The end of the night, though, was just so epic. We had joked in our welcome toast that "in the words of the great Rihanna, we found love in a hopeless place." (We met in June of 2020.) When the dance floor was really going, Norah played that Rihanna song, which we had not thought to request, and everyone went crazy and circled around us and cheered and danced their butts off. Man, what a moment. Guys. You have no idea what it feels like to have all of your closest friends -- across your whole life -- cheering around you as you dance and hug your life’s love. It’s a hell of a thing. Norah is a true artist of unforgettable, forever moments.
With about an hour left in the wedding, I kept finding myself saying, “shoot! I can’t leave the dance floor -- it’s another banger!” This was a wonderful problem to have. She read the room and rode the energy of the crowd all evening. We had a pair of guests who had just met full-on doing the Wobble, and later, a massive circle of friends passionately belting “what’s going on!?!” to 4 Non Blondes. (It was a week after the 2024 election, so we had… feelings.) It was amazing all the way through the epic ending (we gave her both “Kiss from a Rose” by Seal AND “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” by Celine Dion and she managed to beautifully orchestrate BOTH epic moments). In the end, again encircled by our friends and family, we belted and swayed and floated our way to the end of an epic, nonstop, dreamy wedding night.
Norah is the good stuff. Should we have another event, we would book her without another thought. Can’t recommend her enough. We love you, Norah! -

Norah RULES! She was the DJ at our wedding and quite honestly the best vendor of the entire event. She made us feel prepared for what our day would look like and our guests had an absolute BLAST on the dance floor. A wedding is a once in a lifetime event and some vendors made me feel rushed in making decisions or didn't give me all of the information, but not Norah. After meeting with her, I knew the night would flow just right. When the last song played the dance floor was still full. My favorite part of my wedding by far. -
