Mrs. Pat and the entire staff at Modern Brides are nothing short of amazing! They consistently bent over backwards to make sure that us, our bridal party, and family were well dressed in our special day. I purchased my dress and we wound up also renting the guy’s suits as well after another vendor in town shut down and stopped communicating with us after COVID hit. Modern Brides rescued us and made sure that everything was in on time, and perfectly altered as well. They gave us so much comfort and peace of mind that we would be taken care of and they did not disappoint! They are truly the best of the best! -

I would definitely recommend Modern Brides for your wedding dress and bridal accessories. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. I probably tried on at least a dozen dresses and it didn’t phase them one bit. They were so accommodating when I brought my 18 month old nephew to dress fittings and even let me come try my dress on the day it came in even though I couldn’t come in until just minutes before they closed. And the alterations! My dress was very intricate - covered in lace with a fitted corset top. I lost quite a bit of weight between the time we order the dress and when it came in. The top was huge but after she took it in, it was perfectly fitted to my body. I’m also very short but I desperately wanted to keep the scalloping at the bottom. She had to remove all of the lace, hem the dress, and then sew the lace back on. I couldn’t even tell it was different at all! The bustle was absolutely perfect too. I had a great experience and I hope that you add Modern Brides as your first stop when dress hunting. You won’t regret it! -

Modern Brides was the first store I went to when shopping for my wedding dress, because I found my Senior Prom dress there. However, like most brides I had 30+ pictures of beautiful dresses, but once I put them on I didn't like the style. After a quick trip to Nashville I called and made a secondary appointment with Haley at Modern Brides and I found my PERFECT dress. I walked in and told Haley what style I was looking for and she immediately began pulling dresses for me to try on including the two dresses which I liked the first time just to be sure. The best part is I was able to find my dress without going over my budget, so now I can use the remaining funds to use elsewhere.
I highly recommend Modern Brides, for all your formal needs. They have helped me tremendously with both my prom and wedding dress and I have never once left disappointed in service or selection. -

Rachel Sent on 10/03/2017I have been a customer of Modern Brides since high school, over 10 years now. Even after moving from the Huntsville area, I've come back here to shop for formal events. I always feel welcomed by the staff. The girls are so cheerful and helpful! I never feel rushed or like I'm being too much trouble. When I first was engaged, I thought it would be easier to purchase my gown from a shop in my current city of Nashville. After visiting nearly 10 bridal shops in Nashville, I came to Modern Brides. And I regret not going here first like I usually do!!! They made the experience so easy for this out of town bride! I walked in with a specific vision in my head. After trying on several gowns, I off handedly mentioned to Mrs. Pat that I really wanted a specific look that I was frustrated I couldn’t find because it was not a very popular style. She was quick to respond with an idea that we might be able to ask for the top of one dress and the bottom of another dress from the manufacturer. First thing the following Monday, I received the call from her about my DREAM DRESS! Because of the manufacturer's ability to create custom fabric patterns, the team at Modern Bride was able to give me the neck line and cut of the dress I was dreaming of! They, also, accommodated my group of 10 for viewing of my dress arrival and helped me select the perfect veil to match. Alterations were easy to schedule and flawlessly executed. They would not let me take my dress until I was 100% satisfied with their work! So sweet!
Everyone I've encountered at this shop is kind, knowledgeable, and very easy to work with. Their selection is amazing for bridal, bridesmaid, and formal events. I look forward to continuing my business with the Modern Brides team. Thank you, ladies!! -

I found my dress, under budget and loved every second of my time in the store! I loved that they had me browse around first and show them the dresses I liked and then the consultant pulled dresses that complimented the style I was going for. -

Latoya Sent on 11/19/2011Modern Brides was so GREAT to me I get emotional when I think of how sweet the owner was to me. After searching at so many places for a wedding dress Modern Brides gave me attention, advice, and worked within my budget for my wedding dress. With having Type 1 Diabetes and wearing an Insulin Pump I thought it would be impossible to wear a strap for my pump. However, Mrs. Pat made a perfect fit pouch in the top part of my dress to place my Insulin Pump. It worked out so perfect and no other bridal shop came up with such an idea.
Modern Brides made me feel welcome each time I came by to check on things. And when crisis came up they worked things out.
For Tux's I would recommend all men get to shop as soon as possible when Tux's come in to be sure they fit comfortable for wedding. On the day of wedding it was impossible to get a few men Tux's fixed that were too big.
Overall I would recommend Modern Brides to anyone. -

Shelby went out of her way to make sure I was satisfied and that my Bridal gown, bridesmaids and flower girl dresses were ready. I was truly impressed by their speed of service. -

They brought out several options for alterations to add straps to my dress. However they did not steam my veil like they were supposed to. Also the seamstress was late to the alterations appointment each time. -

I chose Modern Brides because they were the first store I found with the dress color I wanted for my bridesmaids. However, alterations were a nightmare for two of my girls. One of the girls felt like she was rushed through being measured and then again at her first fitting. I had to drive down to store (I live 30 minutes away) to make sure everything was right. The seamstress told my bridesmaid that the top of her dress was sagging because of her boobs (when really the dress wasn’t even sitting in the right place because her straps still needed to be taken up another two inches) and the hem of her dress was NOT even (it was longer on her sides and dipped up in the front). The seamstress pinned again and told her she would have to come back for another fitting (this bridesmaid also lived 45 minutes away, if not more— this was one or two weeks before my wedding date). Second bridesmaid went in for her fitting and felt rushed and uncomfortable. The dress was EIGHT INCHES TOO BIG IN THE TOP and felt rushed through her first fitting. She went back to try it on after alterations and the top still wasn’t right. I also, had to go out of my way to go down there and make sure it was right. This was ONE WEEK before my wedding. The side of her dress was bulging on one side and the seamstress ending up fixing it by stuffing that side with multiple cups (also it was not loose in the boob area, it was loose and bulging under her arm), and it had to be pinned in the front to keep it from gapping or being pulled open. Luckily the dresses were ready in time BY SOME MIRACLE but I was not happy with how unprofessional they acted about alterations and they were way OVERPRICED for what we had to deal with. Absolutely ridiculous. Picture is of the last fitting for the second bridesmaid. I didn’t get one of the first bridesmaid and her dress. Altogether, they made the dresses work but I will never use them again. -
