What a wonderful and fun afternoon! I almost left with two dresses.... because if you do "girl" math and extend the use of the dresses, you can easily justify the sale price of two equalling even less than the price of others. ; ) The staff was incredibly helpful, pulling so many dresses because I wasn't quite sure. Rachcel was so patient, kind, and shared her thoughts very appropriately. I left with a dress that I didn't expect, but when I put it on I didn't stop smiling! I felt radiant, and this is thanks to Rachel. I said yes to (at least) one dress. -

Rachel was AMAZING! I told her the style I had in mind and the budget and all the dresses she pulled met the criteria. I didn't feel pressured or rushed and everyone else was very kind and friendly. I would recommend this bridal shop over and over again! Thank you ladies! -

The team at Modern Bride was so helpful every time I went in. I brought four girls with me for shopping and the team made sure to pull dresses that I liked as well as mixed in some styles that my girls mentioned. From shopping to my first and final fitting, they were always so positive and happy to see me smiling! My husband and his groomsmen also rented their tux’s through Jim’s Formal Wear at Modern Bride. My husband and I met with Brian, the Jim’s representative, and he was very attentive to detail. Brian was able to see the dress that I had ordered and made sure to color match everything. Brian helped with measurements up until the week prior and helped navigate ordering with our out of state groomsmen. One shirt was much too large for a groomsmen and Brian got a new shirt ordered and shipped next day for pick up. The shirt fit much better and no other ordering issues were had. I could not recommend Modern Bride any more for all of your wedding party attire! -

My family and I can't rave enough about our experience with Deb! After a poor experience in the morning with another local shop, Deb went above and beyond the moment we walked into Modern Bride! Deb was so genuine and knowledgeable with the dresses in stock and was sure to inquire about my look I wanted to achieve, and budget for my wedding dress. She was quick to pull more than 10 gowns and listened to my feedback as I tried them on, helping me find the dress of my dreams. Even though they were busy, the staff that day was also so kind in coming over to congratulate me when I said "yes!" Brides, put Modern Bride first on your list to find your wedding gown - trust me it's the best experience in New Hampshire handsdown! -

Everyone at Modern Bride was such a joy to work with, especially Renee. Like most brides, I walked in thinking I wanted one thing, but said I was "open to trying other styles". Renee brought me something that was the opposite of what I thought I wanted, and when I put it on - It was THE dress. The dress required a lot of alterations in the shoulders and hemming due to the length and her work is absolute perfection. I felt like such a princess on my wedding day, which is a feeling I never thought I'd had. They have such a large selection of dresses and what meant the most to me is that Renee was willing to work in the budget I provided and was so respectful about it. Every time I went in for a fitting, Renee made me feel so confident and happy in the dress and it was such a positive experience! I will recommend Modern Bride to anyone looking for THE dress! -

Such a wonderful experience!!! My attendant Courtney was the best! She listened to exactly what style I wanted, but could tell I hadn't fallen in love with any of them like I should have. She then brought me in a "wild card" dress and from the moment I put it on, I couldn't imagine a more perfect dress for me.
I felt confident with the seamstress's knowledge and Courtney's advice on what size to get and what hem to order. ( I am a petite bride, 5ft tall.) They had no problem accommodating my stature which was a huge relief to me.
I felt all the staff there was incredibly professional and supportive. They have a huge dress selection which is exactly what you want when looking for the perfect dress.

I had an amazing experience with Modern Bride. They did an incredible job helping me find a dress on a very short timeline, and also helping with alterations to fit a growing baby bump (no easy feat!). At my first appointment the consultant was so attentive to what I was looking for and pulled so many beautiful dresses. I knew as soon as I put on "the one". The follow-up alteration appointments all went smooth and they really went above and beyond to fit me in to their schedule and make sure everything was perfect for my big day. I did shop around at other bridal dress shops and they didn't compare in the slightest to the service and value received at Modern Bride. -

I was nervous to try on dresses, yet the Modern Bride team made me feel so comfortable. They respected my budget and pulled dresses that matched the style I roughly described. I found 'the one' during my first visit and fell more in love with my dress each time I put it on. The entire staff was professional, encouraging, and easy to work with. The whole process from start to finish was positive for me and my husband, who ended up renting his suits with them as well. We are so grateful for the Modern Bride team and highly recommend them!

I was on a budget and nervous that I wouldn't be able to find anything that I liked within my price range, but she was so knowledgeable and I found the perfect dress only 4 dresses into my appointment. I had the best experience at Modern Bride & Formal Shop! My party and I were greeted immediately with a smile and excitement!
I had Debbie as a consultant. She came highly recommended by my cousin who got her wedding dress here. I am so happy that she was available! She made me feel everything I think a bride should feel when picking out a dress! I was concerned that I was going to feel rushed or pressured into just buying a dress even if it wasn’t what I wanted, Debbie never, not once, made me feel that way. Every dress I put on she asked what I liked or didn’t and went and found the most perfect dress that I couldn’t say no to! It was such a fun experience, and to be able to say “YES” felt incredible!
If you are in the market for a dress or tux I highly recommend Modern Bride & Formal Shop. I’m sure all the consultants are fantastic, but Debbie was professional, fun, and super knowledgeable and I highly recommend having her. -

I am getting married next year and just wanted to simply pop in to look at some dresses and start getting an idea of what I liked. Due to COVID, the store was not allowing brides to peruse the dresses….but I got so much more! Hanna was at the front desk and she took me in for an impromptu appointment. She was friendly and attentive, asked great questions to get at my interests. She was incredibly nice and very knowledgeable-we had a lot of fun! I am an older bride to be and cannot express enough how much I appreciated her time and how she made the process not feel intimidating at all. If you want caring and personal service, plus a great selection of dresses, definitely check this place out!!! -

From the minute I walked in Michayla’s energy and professionalism made me feel so comfortable! She was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what I was looking for! Found my dream dress for a dream price
The staff was incredible. They helped me find my dream dress on my first outing. It was way under budget and fit me like a glove. The dress was slightly too long but they did the perfect alterations and held on to it for me until the day before my wedding so I didn’t have to worry about storage at all. -

I was SO difficult. Worst bride ever award goes to me, in terms of dress shopping. I swear I tried on 100+ dresses before I found "the one". Michayla was incredible. She was so patient and I absolutely adored her. My whole experience at this store was incredible - they're not pushy salespeople and she was genuinely happy to help me find the dress. I am forever appreciative of them, but my heart goes out to Michayla and I would recommend anyone go shop with her! -

This was the first wedding dress shopping experience and I was very nervous because I wasn't sure what to expect. I went with my mom, sister and best friend and we were all immediately relieved and overjoyed the moment we sat down with Machayla. She is down to earth and full of positive energy. By only asking me a few questions, she knew exactly the kind of style I was going for. She picked out several incredible dresses and made me feel so comfortable the entire time. When I tried on my dream dress, there were tears all around the room. We all knew it! I decided to think on it overnight and came back the next day and said YES! Not only was the dress perfect, Machayla made the experience so special and I am extremely grateful for everything she did. I would HIGHLY recommend Modern Bride to anyone who wants to find their dream wedding dress and if you want to have a blast, I suggest requesting Machayla to be your bridal sylist!! -

I couldn't be happier!
I had the most wonderful experience at Modern Bride! My consultant Michayla made the appointment so relaxing and enjoyable for myself and my girls. Micayla gave us her undivided attention for the duration of my appointment despite it being a busy Saturday afternoon. I had an idea of what I wanted in a dress but was very open to trying on different styles. Michayla was so patient as I tried on many dresses making executive decisions along the way about what I didn’t want. She helped me narrow down my search, eventually choosing my favorite from the beginning that we saved for last. I am so happy I said yes to the dress at Modern Bride! Where to begin with my amazing experience at Modern Bride! It’s a warm and welcoming environment from the time you make your appointment to the time you leave the store (and I can only imagine beyond!). The entire team truly works together to find you the perfect dress. One person even called a designer’s office to ask them an alteration question for me!
Michayla was my consultant and I could not imagine anybody better!! She is absolutely incredible. She is kind, patient, encouraging, and you can tell she genuinely loves the work she does! The appointment started off with her asking what I was looking for in a dress and at the end we reviewed it and what she found was spot on. Due to covid safety measures, brides can’t look through the racks but do not let this deter you! Michayla really knows everything the store has to offer and picks out an amazing selection for you to try. She listens to your preferences and does everything to find your perfect dress - and succeeds!! She made me feel comfortable and beautiful in everything I tried on, even when it was outside of my comfort zone. Michayla is what made my entire experience at Modern Bride the wonderful time that it was.
I never once felt pressured or as though I was inconveniencing them with the time it took me to make my decision. Michayla never made me feel rushed and she constantly reassured me that I could take all the time I needed. Modern Bride is all around incredible and you won’t regret going here to look at gowns (or anything else they have to offer). This is THE place you want to say yes to the dress!! -

I had an appointment yesterday with Michayla at Modern Bride to look for my perfect wedding dress. This was only my second time trying on dresses, the first being at a national bridal store chain. My experience at Modern Bride was night and day different then my previous appointment, in a great way! Upon my arrival to the store the staff greeted me and were all very friendly. I was introduced to my consultant Michayla who immediately made me feel welcomed and at ease.
The entire staff at Modern Bride did a great job making me feel safe and comfortable while looking for a dress during these difficult times. They had hygiene protocols and face covering requirements in place but did so in a way that was much different than my first bridal appointment at another store. I almost forgot I was wearing a mask rather than the mask being all that I saw in the mirror. Michayla and the other staff gave a sense of ease and normalcy to the appointment.
Michayla was patient, positive, encouraging and lighthearted during the appointment. I never felt rushed or pressured! She showed me dresses that were within my budget and met my wedding style. I appreciate her being so conscious of my budget, as I would have been disappointment to fall in love with a dress that I could not afford. She also encouraged me to try dresses that I thought were not “my style”. I was so happy she did so because I ultimately purchased a dress that I love but never expected.
Michayla consulted with the other staff who were versed in alterations to answer my questions and to provide ideas on alterations, embellishments and cost. I will be working with Modern Bride alterations team in the future to add sleeves and other embellishments to my dress. I could safely store my dress at Modern Bride for no additional cost and I was encouraged to return at any time to try on my dress again with shoes or accessories.
I highly recommend Modern Bride to anyone who is looking to have an intimate and personal shopping experience that is “pressure free”. I will be back to the store with my fiancé to get suiting for him and his groomsmen which is offered at a discount with the purchase of my dress.

Looking for my wedding dress at Modern Bride was SUCH a fun, relaxed, and successful experience! I had only been to 1 other bridal shop a few weeks earlier, and hadn't found a dress that I loved. And then we decided to try Modern Bride. We had heard that they have a huge selection. At first I was a bit nervous because when I called, the woman I spoke to (super friendly and accommodating!) explained that they don't take appointments on Saturdays because they want to be able to help everyone, so I had imagined it would be crazy and hectic. It was the opposite of what I had imagined!! When we arrived, Delaney greeted us and she was so welcoming. She asked what styles I liked/didn't like and immediately mentioned a couple specific dresses she had in mind. I didn't think too much of it, as I just wanted to try on lots of different dresses just to be sure I found the right dress for me. Well, ultimately, Delaney was right!! I asked her after I had made my decision and she said yup, the dress I ended up choosing was one of the ones she thought I'd like. Delaney rocks!! She listened to everything I said I liked/didn't like about each dress I tried on. She was super honest when I asked her questions about fit, and how things looked on me. She really understood what I was looking for, and what I felt comfortable and beautiful in. She even made a suggestion about a veil and it was perfect with my dress! She made this whole process FUN, and there wasn't a single second that I was stressed out, felt pressured, or overwhelmed. This was such a wonderful experience that I will always remember, and I am so thankful that I made the decision to go to Modern Bride! -

I had such a wonderful experience at Modern Bride with Delaney, my new favorite girl in this industry. I am not a glitz and glam kind of girl, so the idea of parading around in gowns was stressing me out. From the moment I walked into Modern Bride, I felt at ease. Delaney listened to my every word regarding my vision, budget, and must-haves. From that point on, she stood by me from start to finish and made what I thought would be a nightmare of a process, a dream. She loaded up my dressing room and was by my side getting me in and out of dresses. She was constantly offering me belts, veils, and straightening out my train so I could really get the "day-of" feel. She talked out the dresses with me to help me determine what I loved or didn't love about each particular dress. I never felt rushed to move on to the next dress. She let my mom and I go crazy with pictures, and even offered some helpful accessory tips along the way. I appreciated her honesty as well as her outgoing, friendly personality, and the fact that she did everything with a smile. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Delaney, I would recommend her to every single bride. I was able to narrow my picks down to a Top Three, which was hard because there are so many beautiful gowns at Modern Bride. Now to pick!! I already have an appointment with Delaney, obviously, to go back next week to make my final decision! I always thought that I would "dress shop", but no other place could live up to this amazing experience at Modern Bride. I cannot wait to go back next week with my bridesmaid and pick my dress! I truly give this shop 10 stars, thank you Modern Bride!! -

I came here as my first stop for gown shopping and I could not be happier with how it went. I worked with Michayla and she was absolutely AMAZING!! Thank you to everyone at Modern Bride for helping make our day so special!! We bought my wedding gown, the bridesmaid dresses and rented suits in what seemed like, minutes. The staff listened to what I wanted and helped picked out the gowns that best fit my style. By the time I had paid for my gown and booked my fittings, my bridesmaid had already narrowed their search down. We walked out of the salon knowing that we had chosen the right gowns!! When I put my gown on to walk down the aisle, I felt more beautiful than ever. Not to mention,the men were recklessly handsome in their fitted suits! I can’t thank you all enough! -

Cannot say enough good things about this shop! I went twice, once with my mom to figure out what I liked and then again with my entourage where I actually bought my dress. I worked with both Ashley and Savannah and they were very responsive and did not put any pressure on me to buy. Best part is that when you get to the shop you are allowed to go into the store room and actually shop and pick your own dresses, my mom's eyes nearly popped out of her head when they said she could go shop for a half hour! -

Even better, they store the dress until you're ready for alterations to be made! Ashley and Marin both helped me find my perfect wedding dress at Modern Bride! They were both so helpful with giving me suggestions and helping to pick out dresses. I like that Modern Bride lets you pick out your own dresses as well as pick some out for you as a lot of places don't let you look around and pick out dresses yourself. Ashley and Marin made me feel very comfortable and were easy to talk to. Modern Bride has so many beautiful dresses for a decent price, it was hard for me to pick just one! I highly recommend going to Modern Bride. -

Everyone was very upbeat, courteous, and extremely sweet upon walking into the store. My consultant, Ashley, made me feel confident and made sure I had that special experience when dress shopping. She was also very patient with us and helped me throughout the entire process.

It was a very laid back experience and I really liked that about shopping there. When it came time for the alterations the woman who did them was amazing! I traveled to Modern Bride and Formal from Maine since we have limited options in my state for bridal boutiques. The moment we arrived we were greeted by a consultant who immediately took us under her wing and listened to everything I was looking for. I had photos and she was able to pull everything I’d found online. She let us browse and take our time finding different options. Their price range is extremely affordable and everything I tried on was well under my budget of $2000. Once I started trying on dresses, she was awesome at picking up on what I loved and didn’t love, and helped me narrow things down really well. Overall she was on the same page as me and never pushed me in a direction I didn’t like. I ended up finding my dress and absolutely love it, it fits my vision perfectly. I even found the perfect veil to match. The ordering process went very smooth as well, and I left extremely pleased and relieved at how easy Modern Bride made everything! I highly recommend the Modern Bride salon. The ladies here are very professional with no sales pressure. They give you attention and help when you want it, but are totally fine if you need some time to make your own selections. I had tried another salon and I honestly felt my privacy was a little violated. I hated it and went right back to Modern Bride where I purchased my dress. -

I had a blast shopping for my dress at Modern Bride with Delaney - she was wonderful to work with, so welcoming and kind. Based on the survey I'd filled out with my style/detail preferences, Delaney was already well-versed in what I was looking for. She walked us through the racks, explaining how the dresses were organized and gave me the perfect amount of time to take it all in before going to try some dresses I had picked out. She was just great to work with all-around, and my mom and sister felt the same way. I did end up finding my dream dress and would recommend Modern Bride to anyone searching for theirs! They were professional, inviting and very experienced with a great selection of gowns for every budget. -

Modern Bride has been exactly what I want in shopping for a wedding dress. The ladies who have helped us were extremely knowledgeable and right there when needed for trying on the dresses. I specifically remember Ashley Pilotte since she was available every moment, but also gave us space to do some searching on our own. The owners and other staff are professional yet personable and I highly recommend them for both bride and bridesmaid dresses. They are awesome! -

I had a wonderful experience with Modern Bride. My consultant was really thoughtful in listening to my wants and picking dresses that fit that style. As I began realizing that my original vision was not living up to my expectations she took aspects of my style and ending up picking a dress that was very different from my original goal but was the one. I was so impressed with the staff and their ability to make me feel that "ah ha" moment. The dress was also reasonably priced which was a big deal to me. I can't thank them enough for helping me find the dress I was meant to get married in. -

After two failed dress shopping trips, I decided to try Modern Bride because my sister got her dress there. Delany was amazing. I basically had the place to myself for most of the time. Over 2 hours, Delany helped me narrow in on what I liked and was so patient! She never asked my size or price range like other places, just focused on getting the right dress. I felt good in almost every dress she pulled, where at other salons I felt like I was too fat for the dresses. The prices are very reasonable and I was able to get a designer that I really liked. -

My Consultant was Amanda and she was more than amazing! Very last minute I planned to have my wedding in 5 months not only was I able to find my dream dress but also found my bridesmaids dresses all in ONE day! Amanda also helped me prank my future bridesmaids in my bride purposeles in the store! It was beyond memorable. In addition to having a 5 month enragement ALL of my dress will come in on time and perfect for my Fiance and I's wedding! -

I was recommended to try this location when looking for a dress and it did not disappoint. The staff are unbelievably friendly and really helped me feel like a special bride. I loved that my consultant Delaney was there every step of the way from just trying on dresses for fun to the final choice. She was the best ! She really chose dresses well that would look good, in my price point and my style. She had great recommendations and is great at what she does. The owners were on sight often and were helpful and welcoming. Making appointments was very easy and there were beautiful and budget friendly dresses to choose from with a variety of designers. Would highly recommend to any bride ! -

I had THE BEST experience at Modern Bride. I had gone to a few other stores that were ok, but none even compared to Modern Bride. I went a few different times and had amazing experiences with Savannah, Delaney, Amanda, and the manager (so sorry I forget his name). They were all so patient, fun, easy going, and really took the time to help me find my dream dress....which I am in love with! Thank you guys so much! I would recommend this store with this staff to anyone in a heartbeat. -

I live in Dover, NH and we only had a few shops around here and none of them were in my budget. A friend told me about Modern Bride in Bedford, NH and I called right away. I was immediately greeted by Debbie. I showed her my binder full of dress inspiration and she knew exactly where to go. I am 5ft 2in and wanted a mermaid/trumpet gown but, Debbie told me that might not work for my height. I was a little bummed because I wanted the corset look. I told her I hated lace and she said “do you trust me?” and I said yes. She came back with a gown that had the lace up back, corset and wasn’t lace but looked like lace. It was the 5th dress I tried on ever! I walked out of the room and everyone was immediately in love! I looked in the mirror and had that moment! Debbie asked me if I could see myself walking down the aisle to Sean and I started to cry. I decided that was going to be my dress! I had chosen a dress and color from Alfred Angelo but, I just had found that the entire company closed. I started freaking out! I called Modern Bride and told them I needed to find new bridesmaid dresses and that it needed to be this cobalt/royal blue color. They immediately calmed me down and said they would find me a new dress and the color would match. I went down there with my two of my bridesmaids and we found new dresses. In having so much luck with my dress and my girls dresses I told my fiancé we need to get all the tuxes there. The tux process was also very easy and the color of the ties matched my dresses perfectly! The staff at Modern Bride truly make the process easy and are very professional. I would recommend to this shop to anyone looking for that special gown for weddings or prom who wants a high level of excellence! -

I am a “curvy” bride and she made me feel as gorgeous as the 5’9 models on the posters surrounding me. She listened to my likes and dislikes and we found my dress! She was even able to do a customisation for less than I was quoted at another bridal store! I was wow’d and went back the ne t day to say YES to my dress!! -

I tried on dresses at several places and really liked many but didn't find "the one" so I had decided to choose one at a store that had a few good options. As an afterthought my Matron of Honor suggested we try Modern as one last stop before going to the other store. I tried on several dresses and finally found one that I loved and that was not only within my budget but even more reasonably priced than the others I had considered. Even though I didn't spend a ton on my dress, all of the sales associates I dealt with were wonderful and treated me as if my business was important. My alterations were beautiful, I was able to go in to try on my dress a few extra times on short notice, and I got so many compliments on my gorgeous dress that was so "me." I'd recommend Modern to any bride.

The woman who helped me on the phone was so nice and was able to book me an appointment that worked with my schedule. I was worried about being able to bring my family with me but I was reassured that they had enough room! I went with my mom, my sisters, my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Jackie helped us during my appointment! She was so amazing! I got to look through the racks and find some dresses myself. I shared my thoughts with Jackie and she was able to pull a few dresses from my vision. In the end, I said “Yes to the Dress” after narrowing down to three beautiful dresses. Jackie did awesome, as the dress I chose was one she brought in! During my appointment, I was also able to find my bridesmaid dresses! Emily Sent on 08/04/2018I had an incredible experience at Modern Bridal and highly recommend them to any future bride! It was very easy to schedule an appointment, and they made me feel extremely comfortable with what to expect on the day of. On the day of the dress shopping, the staff welcomed my mother, grandmother and sister and helped us get the lay of the land. There was no pressure, and we had the freedom to walk the racks and pick out dresses that I wanted to look at. Our sales associate gave us guidance and tips, but we definitely were able to wander at our own pace. I ended up trying on 4 different dresses and fell in love with the first dress I tried on, and said yes to the dress!!! We were able to pick up the dress a few months later. Our wedding was in Colorado, so we flew the dress back to Denver to do our alterations, but the staff helped us think through what was the best way to transport it and what alterations I would need. I am incredibly grateful for the service at Modern Bridal and am so happy they helped me find the perfect dress for my special day.

I was trying to choose between the one I picked and one my whole bridal party loved. The person helping us asked if she could show me a dress…and the rest is history. It was perfect!
Renee did my alterations and was wonderful. I had broken my ankle and they were able to accommodate the changes that needed to be made 1 month before the wedding. The dress selection was great and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly, professional and accommodating. I felt like I was the only one that mattered when I was there. I would highly recommend them to anyone. -

I went with my mom, and maid of honor on facetime due to living so far away and they made us feel comfortable and at home. I had no idea what style I truly wanted, and they helped me figure it out and find the dress that made me feel like a princess. Once I had my dress on I knew. The alternation/seamstress was also helpful and made sure we knew how to bustle my dress but also that I was comfortable and able to sit in my dress. I would highly recommend you go here to find your dream wedding dress. They also have beautiful jewelry and accessories you will need. Also you can get your grooms/groomsmen suits, flower girl, bridesmaid and mother dresses.
